With early co-signs from Skream and Rusko, a feature on Diplo’s ‘Blow Your Head’ compilation, and the launch of a bubbling new SMOG event series in LA, John Dadzie, professionally known as 12th Planet, quickly became known as one of the first ambassadors of dubstep in the US. As the sound began to spread, he helped navigate its uncharted territories with tracks like the breakout “68” single, released on his newly launched SMOG label, and collaborations alongside Skrillex and Kill the Noise (“Burst”, followed by the Grammy winning “Right on Time”). Virtual Riot (real name Christian Brückner) is a German DJ and electronic music producer. He began his career in the early 2010s and has since released multiple albums, EPs, and singles, and has collaborated with a number of other artists in the electronic music scene. He is known for his work in the dubstep, drum and bass, and electro house genres. He has released his music on notable labels such as Disciple Records, and Monstercat. He has also performed at major music festivals around the world. He is known for his high energy performances, incorporating live instruments and visuals into his sets. Virtual Riot is considered one of the most talented and innovative producers in the electronic music scene.

Originally from a background of more traditional sound engineering, running his own recording studio, recording bands, artists, and gaining a following in America with his solo project “Place Your Bet$”, it was when he moved to Guildford, UK to study a degree in Music production at the ACM that Zomboy discovered a new love for electronic music.
