With a diligence to seek out the perfect music for every moment, Budino has spent many years honing her craft creating unique edits that breathe versatility into the music she has dug deep to find. This often means when you hear her play, it may well be the only moment ever in which will you ever hear that version. Budino has also been responsible for curating the fourth edition of Love International festival’s compilation series ‘The Sound of Love International’’. It reflects her interpretation of the ideal soundtrack for an endless and idyllic day into the night on the beaches of Tisno on the Adriatic coast, nodding to her comprehensive taste as a selector. From Utrecht, Carista is the DJ everyone wants to open for them. Self-taught, she bought her first pair of turntables at 19 and turned to YouTube tutorials. After winning a mixtape competition hosted by Rotterdam club BIRD in 2012, she landed a gig and subsequent residency at BIRD and other local clubs. Word started to travel about the charismatic selector, curator, and DJ. She went on to land herself a monthly radio show at Red Light Radio and NTS which got her noticed by a slew of festival programmers. She’s since made her debuts on Boiler Room and at festivals like Secretsundaze, Dekmantel, and ADE, where she opened for De School’s 62-hour party. A well traveled person from having lived in Japan, Korea and the USA as a teenager Enyang emigrated to Berlin in her twenties to tap into a new scene and sound unique to the city. Since then she has been intimately involved in the experimental music scene having performed at CTM festival in January of 2021. Serendipity found Enyang in Berlin and it was this city that transformed her passion for music and took her on a new path, one which would expose her to some of the most cutting edge artists of the world. As many kids who have grown up in the early 90s in the South West of Germany, Gerd Janson was a regular guest at Mannheim’s legendary Milk Club. Although this venue was most popular for putting jungle on the map in Germany, Gerd always used to wait eagerly for the early morning hours when the pace slowed down and US styled house was the ruling sound. In the following years, his deep love for house and disco music was fed in Frankfurt’s Wild Pitch Club by Heiko MSO and Ata. In 1998, Gerd Janson finally had his first DJ residency at Darmstadt’s Café Kesselhaus.

For aspiring DJs and producers, or indeed anyone who appreciates a good story, the genesis of Palms Trax couldn’t have read any dreamier. You know the one; curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Later, stumbling around Berlin, his primitive attempts to emulate the sound of his newfound heroes accidentally land him a bona fide dance floor hit. A gradual but steady stream of EPs courtesy of Dutch dance music powerhouse Dekmantel have allowed his productions to blossom in richer, smoother directions. On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house - euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys - are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion. It’s that same connection with Dekmantel that has encouraged Donaldson to quickly, impressively evolve as a DJ of some distinctive taste and talent. A memorable performance at Dekmantel’s flagship Amsterdam festival in 2015 captured open hearts, lost minds and aching feet. Since then, the sound of Palms Trax has been a fixture on their enormous main stage, drifting seamlessly between vintage house, esoteric disco and the various shades of a bubbling UK underground he has helped define. Occasional back-to-back performances with the likes of Hunee, Young Marco, Antal and Midland, all DJs regularly credited for their breadth of musical knowledge and sheer versatility, speak volumes for Donaldson’s DJing nous, which has lead him on an international trail; from South America to Australia, and from Panorama Bar to Concrete, Contact, De School, and Lux. Donaldson has also-amassed a patient, open-minded following with his cult monthly radio show, the decidedly less-than-culinary ‘Cooking with Palms Trax’, broadcast on Berlin Community Radio since 2015. On each show, Donaldson takes a deep, vinyl-led drive into his adopted history, fostering a level of trust and shared curiosity that has allowed him to helm all-night sets under the ‘Cooking with Palms Trax’ moniker. Into 2018, he’ll be holding down residencies in Boston, Glasgow and Bordeaux, as well as inviting like-minded DJs into his metaphorical kitchen, throughout a series of self-curated evenings into early mornings of music.

Roi Perez is a Berlin-based DJ, After a headstart playing records in 2011 as a local resident in Tel Aviv’s underground queer clubbing scene, he moved to Berlin in 2013 in order to continue his personal journey of establishing a coherent, creative and diverse musical language, skills, style and knowledge. Not so long after, he started playing to Berlin’s busiest dancefloors, including being invited to play at the notorious fetish club Lab. Oratory and Berghain’s Panorama Bar. In 2015 Roi started touring worldwide, performing in important clubs and destinations all across the globe. Roi’s long, eclectic sets offer a dynamic musical journey through genres and styles, where house and techno music are weaved together with disco and electro to create a hypnotizing, powerful yet playful musical experience. Roi is currently living in Berlin, working as a music selector in the local branch of London’s important music establishment Phonica Records.

Russell has painstakingly cultivated a unique artistic expression that integrates and investigates themes around process, technological innovation, the archive, and decolonization. Their works have taken the form of vinyl records, digital audio releases, live A/V performances, and special archiving projects. Russell’s work has been featured in publications like the New Yorker, Resident Advisor, the East Bay Express, New York Dance Music zine Love Injection, and Bermuda’s national paper, The Royal Gazette. Their dynamic performances have helped them keep a busy tour scheduled, traveling as far and wide as Ukraine, France, Portugal, and the Netherlands to name a few. Through their work with modular synthesizers, Russell has been awarded grants and positions as a featured artist. In 2016, Russell began working with the Synthesizer Library in Portland, Oregon as an artist in residence. There they recorded, performed and held workshops for students. As an extension of this work, Russell’s expertise as an electronic musician was documented in the book Patch & Tweak by Kim Bjørn. This is an educational book about the development and implementation of modular synthesizers. In it Russell shares the intersections of their experiences as a Black, Queer, Trans immigrant in America and how that has informed their process as a musician. In 2019, Russell was awarded the Traveling Scholars Fellowship from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts to continue their work with modular synthesizers at the Synthesizer Library’s Prague, Czech Republic location. They would utilize this time to create over 30 compositions, some of which have been featured on NYC label Mr. Saturday Night and pioneering Berlin techno outfit, Tresor. Most recently, in 2021, Russell has worked as a featured artist, digitally archiving records from the collection of House Music pioneer, Frankie Knuckles, as part an installation created by Theaster Gates in a group show curated by renowned writer and curator, Antwan Sargent, titled “Social Works”. They have also featured on a digital and vinyl compilation celebrating the 30th anniversary of pioneering Techno organization, Tresor. Russell also works professionally as a recording, mix, and mastering engineer, an educator, and a consultant for special audio projects and films. Sapphire Slows is what you might call an everything-ist: she produces, DJs, plays synth and keyboard, and her eerie, drone-like vocals float over her tracks, embellishing their shadowy textures. After the brutal awakening of the 2011 earthquakes in Japan, she became motivated to pursue a career in music. Now a notable name in Tokyo’s electronic music scene, she has toured North America, Europe, China and her home country, and released on labels such as Japan’s Big Love and Los Angeles’ Not Not Fun/100% Silk. While some of her songs are submerged in a blue-ish, slo-mo haze as her name suggests, others are more abrasive and in tune with the whirring pace of krautrock, as on 2014’s Allegoria album.

̸BIOGRAPHY S-Candalo is a DJ duo made up of Tania and Dominik Humeres-Correa (THC & DHC). They are siblings, and in their sets, one can hear alongside a deep honour for the oldschool sound a kind of telepathic link that siblings share. Raised in Germany with Colombian and Chilean roots, they are well-acquainted with the act and mindset of mixing (tracks, attitudes, languages) and keeping one’s back to another’s back. In the past years the siblings have engaged in fields ranging from music management to fashion and in their blends there is also a certain synthesis of passion and defined taste that speaks, simply, to fierceness. Fearsomeness, too – their sound is burning and relentless with seductive vocal samples, loopy synths, and bright, punchy kicks. Sol Ortega is a DJ and producer from the city of Buenos Aires Argentina. Her career officially began in 2014 when she was invited to be part of the Under Club booking back then HUMBLE BOOKINGS. She had the opportunity to perform together with several national artists and internationals such as FJAAK, Kevin Saunderson, Marcelus, Zenker Brothers, Exos, Ambivalent, among others. Began to make a place on the scene of Buenos Aires with the sounds that characterize her the most: house and techno from Detroit. In 2018 she was convened by the Boiler Room platform which caused his career to begin to unfold in other countries of South America, Europe, and Asia. This led her to perform at clubs like Berghain, Tresor, Concrete, VENT, About Blank, MMA, among others, and at festivals such as Toffler (Holland) and Baum (Colombia). In 2021 and for some years now Sol found working together with the artists E110101 in their Detroit Classic Gallery record label and platform based in Buenos Aires seeking to combine different disciplines of art ranging from music production to audiovisual content in parallel with her music and personal projects.

As a producer, he released on imprints such as 禁 JIN, Ute and Siamese Twins under his own name, Mogambo and Khun Fluff aliases. As well as periodic ambient albums on his own Extans Mantra imprint. Which led to sought-after collaborations with Full Circle, Yu Su, S.O.N.S, Marc Pinol, and Benedikt Frey. A household name across the region for over a decade playing spaced-out music in forests, warehouses, and castles.

 Her debut-EP "Angelica" (out May 28th) brings together TAAHLIAH's expansive production skills and range of influences, moving effortlessly between squeaky-clean hyperpop textures (Brave, Freefalling) and the jacking hard- dance sounds (FMH, Bourgeoisie, Transdimensional) which defined her much lauded Boiler Room debut earlier this year. 
 Throughout Angelica, the producer details a range of autobiographical experiences that have come to shape her as a person and an artist: from coming to terms with being trans (Brave), to coming from a working class background (Bourgeoisie); from breaking up (Tears) to falling in love (Freefalling). Always, as TAAHLIAH seeks to represent and bring visibility to her community, she invariably ends up conveying universal messages of power, acceptance, bravery and euphoric fun. 
 TAAHLIAH has placed herself at the centre of a new generation of electronic producers revitalising both Dance & Pop music. She has shared stages with SOPHIE, LSDXOXO, 100 Gecs, A.G Cook & Eris Drew amongst others. 
 She is the first black trans artist to be nominated at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards, and the first artist to ever be nominated and win in two categories in the same year.

̸BIOGRAPHY Bogotá-born, Berlin-based Tania Humeres Correa plays under the moniker of her own initials: THC. It’s not a gimmick – to hear a track slammed into another so deftly is a psychoactive experience. THC’s sets are kinetic, propulsive in this way. High-energy without a loss of soul, hard-hitting and still very playful and very gay. We are reminded that techno need not be a gloomy, rumbling march, and that house has a whole range of attitudes at the same time ruthless and smiling. She blazes, to put it simply. ​Having heated Berlin dancefloors and airwaves for a few years, THC is one of the founders and resident at La Noche and Venus Vessels. She has her own show HOT BOX at HÖR radio, and has released mixes via DJ Mag, Fact Mag and NTS. The last year has also seen her playing alongside her sibling DHC as the duo unit S-candalo. Regardless of format, there are always those THC-signatures: punch; euphoria; and streaks of vocal samples intoning the classic dancefloor theme of unity, be it political, sexual, spiritual or some sweaty mixture of it all.

Tijana T is a multi-talent living in Belgrade, locally and internationally recognized as a vocalist, DJ and TV journalist. Tijana T is a prominent figure in Belgrade music and club life. Since the early 2000's she's been working on numerous influential TV and radio music programs. For years she was recognized as the face of Exit festival and since 2006 she has an international performing career which started with an exciting collaboration with New York house legend Abe Duque. Their spectacular live show has visited some of the best venues in the world such as: Robert Johnson/Frankfurt, Watergate/Berlin, Space/Ibiza, Goa/Madrid, Elysee Montmartre/Paris, Les Nuits Sonores festival/Lyon, Cassero/Bologna, Roof/Moscow and many more... As a vocalist she still collaborates with Marc Houle and Gerbruder Teichmann.

̸BIOGRAPHY Verraco is a DJ and producer from Medellín, Colombia. Co–runs TraTraTrax + Insurgentes. In the daring sonic fiction of JP López, the Medellín artist collides in his productions and DJ sets Latin-influenced tribal techno, hyper-Electronica, carefully crafted IDM and cutting-edge perreo-bass technology with both intensity and precision. Verraco is also one of the heads behind the groundbreaking TraTraTrax and Insurgentes, labels that have become key platforms for Latinx sound explorers in recent years. In 2020 he released his debut album, 'Grial’, which was described as "Colombian electronica of the highest order" and "a cue from the well-known legends of this style, but makes it his own with subtle details and an outsider mentality." No wonder, his DJ sets will take you on a ride, far from jumping on an express train, throughout the mysterious jungles dance music culture has to offer. Though always having an eye for the dancer, he still makes use of the spectrum made up of disco, house, techno and even pop from left to right and everything in between. You might call it wild style, he nonetheless manages to combine everything, track by track, soulfully and gently into an exciting and enthralling story, that will catch your breath and suck you into his very own definition of a perfect night out. “What you give is what you get”, they say, and in Leo’s case this has proven to be true again. In his former hometown Munich, he stood out by his efforts to fight for realness and an awareness of the past and present, thereby defining the very future of the culture he invests in with all he has got. After his long-time residency night “Vicious Circle”, formerly based in the once notorious Bob Beaman club, he and his colleagues decided to explore new territory with Blitz Music Club, where he holds a residency in, without any doubt, one of the most ambitious clubs in Europe. After moving to Vienna, Leo hesitantly got involved in the local scene. But becoming part of the Lighthouse Festival family (former crew of renowned club Pratersauna) definitely set the ball rolling for him. For the music lover and scene aficionado he is, being co-responsible now for the musical program of Lighthouse Festival Croatia and South Africa is like another dream coming true. Psychotherapist by day, dj by night Avid music collector, label owner & DJ, Vincent Neumann has gathered a loyal underground following by word of mouth, with consistently brilliant closing sets and long patient vinyl orientated mixing. Born, raised and currently residing in Leipzig, Vincent Neumann works as a psychotherapist during the day and as a DJ by night. As one of the residents of Leipzig’s Distillery since 2012, he happily gets to share his passion for dance music regularly. Next to this he also runs the Leipzig based label Unitas Multiplex. The vibes during his DJ-sets are often described as energetic, fast, enthusiastic and sometimes even relentless, without ever sacrificing taste or quality. For him, authenticity will always stand above fame, and if you witness one of his 10-hour closing sets you will understand what the fuss is about.

Amsterdam based DJ and producer that also runs his Safe Trip label. There was a time when Marco Sterk a.k.a. Young Marco’s talents as a DJ and producer were among Amsterdam’s best-kept secrets. For well over a decade, he plied his trade, largely unheralded, on the city’s underground dance music scene. It was here, via several now infamous residencies, that he learnt his craft, gaining a reputation for ballsy, genre-defying eclecticism, playing sets that joined the dots between everything from tropical rhythms, afro gems and quirky Middle Eastern disco, to lost proto-house, throbbing techno and industrial-strength jack-tracks. These days, the Dutchman’s talents are widely known around the World. His position as a crate digger, record collector and infamous party-starter now guarantees a packed schedule of gigs in Europe, North America and beyond. His passion for working a dancefloor with “strange music” and “unclassics” is renowned, and it’s this that makes his sets so special. This humid, off-kilter obsession with the inspired and unusual has become a hallmark of Marco’s music, too. Once a key part of the Rush Hour family – the legendary Amsterdam label releasing a number of his early singles – in 2011 he made his debut on Lovefingers’ highly regarded ESP Institute label. His first two EPs for the label set out his now-trademark style, and won support from the likes of Dixon and James Murphy, amongst others, along the way. It’s perhaps unsurprising that a string of remix requests followed, leading to now classic reworks for the likes of Heatsick, Joakim, Francis Bebey and Soft Rocks. His 2013 remix of Tony G’s “Dreams”, a killer chunk of blissful new age deep house, became one of the most in-demand and sought after records of that year. At the tail end of 2015, the best of these remixes were gathered together on Sorry For The Late Reply, the first release on Marco’s freshly minted Safe Trip imprint. 2014 saw the release of his most accomplished studio work to date, the superb debut album Biology on ESP Institute. Wonderfully picturesque, melodious, humid and glassy-eyed, it received rave reviews and confirmed his status as one of electronic music’s truly unique voices. The same year also saw the release of Clouds, a magical collaborative fulllength written and produced in a weekend with Italian ambient pioneer Gigi Masin and British artist Jonny Nash. Credited to Gaussian Curve and released by Amsterdam’s Music From Memory label, it was the unfeasibly beautiful sound of three like-minded musicians working towards a shared goal. In 2017, Marco is as busy as ever. He’ll be hitting the road April onwards with Gaussian Curve for a handful of live dates around the world in support of their second album The Distance, while his contribution to Dekmantel’s series of crate-digging compilations, Selectors, is due to hit in March. His own label – Safe Trip – will be picking up steam with a string of releases that explore electronic music in many different directions. As usual, you’ll also find him spreading his love of weird, wonderful and eccentric music in basements, warehouses and clubs the world over.
