Born and raised in Paris, Gigi moved to New York in her teens after being awarded a dance scholarship at the NYC Ballet and Alvin Ailey where she studied and practiced dance at the highest level before moving onward to her current residence of London where she continues to make waves with her unique approach to Music, Sound, Dance and Art. It wasn’t long until she became a firm fixture of South-London’s close-nit music scene, taking part in organising parties in DIY spaces and DJing regularly across the city (with regular appearances at London’s revered ‘Make Me’ parties). Listing Donato Dozzy, Bjork, Function, Neel, Aleksi Perrälä, Pierre Henry, E. Satie and Suzanne Ciani to name a few among her musical influences, Gigi is as creative in the studio as she is on the decks. GiGi associates textures and colours to sounds within the music, giving her a unique approach to collecting, selecting, playing and making music and affording a natural ability to create atmospheres and ambience unlike many others. After playing two stand-out sets on Boiler Room in recent times, she is now about to embark on a Boiler Room club-tour covering some key UK and European cities, placing her among a select number of her musical piers. Curtis Alan Jones has a laundry list of monikers he has gone by since his first appearance in the dance music scene in 1991. However, he is best known as Green Velvet and Cajmere. Inspired by the house music craze in the 80s, Jones picked himself up a keyboard, 4-track, and drum machine to try his hand at making music. It turned out he had a knack for it and in 1991, under Cajmere, he began releasing music. In 1992, he started his own label, Cajual Records, and released “Brighter Days”, a collaboration with superstar dance music singer, Dajae. The song hit number 2 on  the Billboard Dance Music Charts. Modern-day publications like Rolling Stone and MixMag have included the single on their lists detailing the best house tracks to date. In ‘95, under the name Green Velvet and on his new label Relief Records, Jones released another single “Flash” that too, skyrocketed to the top of the charts. He continued to produce bangers, putting out albums under the name Green Velvet.

Techno is often misconstrued, misquoted, and mishandled by outsiders, so for Detroit-based producer and visual artist Huey Mnemonic, protecting its legacy has become a pursuit. Growing up in Flint, Michigan, he inherited his education on funk, techno, house, and more from his parents and grandparents, sparking his obsession with sound as a youth. In his early teens, he experimented with PC software, honing his craft for almost a decade before deciding to unleash his own creations on the world. Channeling Sci-fi, technology, and the Black American experience into his work, his mission is to both preserve and add to the rich lineage of his region’s homegrown sonic culture.

27-year-old Ida Engberg started DJing hip hop and soul aged 14 after a boyfriend showed her how to mix, but she says “I had absolutely no plans on becoming a DJ, I just saw it as a new way to listen to and interact with music and I loved it!” But fate had other plans – while at a friend’s bar aged 18 his regular DJ called in sick. Ida talked her way onto the decks on the proviso that if it wasn’t working after half an hour she’d get off again – by the time she’d finished playing she’d secured her first weekly residence. “I was probably a terrible DJ” she says modestly, “but he loved the music so he booked me every Friday. At this time I was playing lounge music, ambient and soulful house.”,Ida honed her mixing skills and bagged her second residency through more fortuitous timing – working as a host at a big nightclub, Spy Bar, she stepped in for the errant resident DJ who’d had a skinful and promptly disappeared, leaving the dancefloor in silence. The owner immediately changed her job description to DJ, and put her in the main room, kicking off her DJ career proper. “I guess it was there it really started” says Ida. “I was playing house, tribal and electro and I really loved every second of it! I kept my residency there for two and a half years until I decided I wanted to spread my wings a bit.”,A move to Marbella brought 8 months of club gigs, followed by a season in Ibiza which inspired Ida musically like no other place. “I had fallen deeply in love with the minimal techno sound so it was perfect at the time. In Ibiza I met so many people who shared the same dream- To be working with music.” “I was playing in bars and smaller clubs and in afterhour parties. Everywhere I went it was people with the same passion for music as I had.” At the end of the season, Ida returned to Stockholm landing a top residency at Cocktail Club, the best underground club in Stockholm. “My first gig was a warm up for Eric Prydz and after that I did warm ups for everyone from Damian Lazarus, Mandy, Anja Schneider and Jennifer Cardini to Roger Sanchez and Steve Angello. “Stockholm is a great platform for electronic music. There are so many great producers and DJs living here and people really support each other.”,Although DJing is her first love, it was only a matter of time before Ida tried her hand at production. Her first effort was the massive Disco Volante – signed by John Dahlbäck to his Pickadoll label and released in 2007 with a Sebastien Leger remix it became a huge hit all over the world, featuring on compilations from Ministry of Sound, Defected in the House and Pacha Ibiza. It charted across the whole of Europe, doing especially well in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Two more tracks have followed on Get Physical and Pickadoll plus a remix for Dada Life, and Ida signed with the Plantage13 agency for international gigs. She can be found playing her brand of minimal, techno and tech house in clubs all over the world every weekend, and her love of what she does is obvious to all. Playing unplanned sets allows her to respond to the crowd, and she’s rocked parties and clubs like Miami’s Sunday School for Degenerates, Yes at Watergate in Berlin, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Melkweg in Amsterdam, Catwalk in Rotterdam and Op Art in Portugal to name a few. Born to two Irish-American Detroit autoworkers/civil rights activists, Kevin Reynolds' musical ear was trained by the soundtrack to the late night drives decidedly put on the car stereo by his parents: none other than the urbane and otherworldly voice of celebrated Detroit radio dj, Electrifyin' Mojo... While his mother attended medical school at Michigan State University, Kevin and his family lived in student housing that housed families from around the globe, with neighbors blaring insistent sounds of such diverse backgrounds as Afropop, music from China's urban centers, Tejano music, and spaced melodic sounds from the Middle East. Kevin was self taught when it came to making music with machines; obsessed with being able to create the music he was being exposed to on a daily basis, he approached and helped design the first Music Technology class in his high school... Reynolds' first foray into a professional music career was a call to work at Derrick May's seminal classic label Transmat Records. Initially signed on as an audio engineer fresh out of college in the dry deserts of Arizona, Derrick saw other plans for Reynolds and pushed him to develop knowledge in all aspects of music. While at Transmat, Reynolds was given the opportunity to manage all the audio production functions of the pioneering label. Working as an engineer and tour manager of Derrick May's Hi Tech Soul band Time: Space including Aril Brikha, John Beltran, Neil Olliverra, Tony Drake, Jeremy Ellis he travelled throughout North America, Europe and Japan. Among the many projects executed during his tenure at Transmat, he also curated the official music compilation for "Movement," Detroit's 2004 electronic music festival. Kevin’s music draws hints from a wide spectrum of artists. In his music you can hear the steely mechanics of Kraftwerk, the powerful blasts of John Coltrane, the emotive synths of Carl Craig, the social commentary of A Tribe Called Quest, the rawness of Jeff Mills, and lush waves of Sergio Mendes. On record, balance is key to his music: “You must have the light with the dark, day with night, and it’s a natural balance of opposites. " Since his initial steps at Transmat, Kevin also had the opportunity to be the US tour manager for Neo Soul artist Amp Fiddler. Founding his own label, Todhchai (which translates to "future, or things to come" in Gaelic), he has composed music for Lexus of America , Blue Cross Blue Shield, Red Bull and the Mayor of Detroit. This lead to the privilege of remixing The Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Stravinsky's riotous "Rite of Spring". In 2006, Reynolds released his first record "Afrik" to critical acclaim and championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Osunlade, Jazzanova, DJ Karizma and Masters At Work. The UK's BBC Radio One dubbed Reynolds the "new sound of Detroit Techno." His live performances have been showcased at Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2001 and 2004. As far back as the early '90s, Ricardo Villalobos began building an impressive discography of 12" releases on respected dance labels like Playhouse and Perlon, and around the turn of the decade he was one of the most revered producers and DJs in dance music. In his youth, the Chilean-born Villalobos moved with his family to Germany in order to avoid the military dictatorship of Pinochet, and he eventually fell in with the country's fertile house community. Redefining the word "remix", Detroit Native, Rimarkable is a renaissance woman indeed. A vocalist, lyricist, producer and DJ, she is a well respected force. Defying effortless categorization, Maria “Ri Ri'' Garcia aka Rimarkable is a child of funk, jazz, gospel, rock and soul, and her selections as a DJ and broadcaster fuse all of these sounds “wrapped into a house and techno box”. Growing up heavily influenced by Black gospel music, her mother a classically trained pianist and music minister in a Pentecostal church, Rimarkable’s childhood summers in Chicago also gave her an introduction to house music, during the genre’s explosive infancy. An Afro-Latina from Detroit, she’s first generation Puerto Rican, and the Afro-Caribbean sound continues to have a huge impact on her sonic leanings, alongside the unmistakable ear training of the city’s techno legacy. Rimarkable started professionally DJing in 1997, first doing private events and then clubs in the early 2000s. She’s since played around the world alongside the likes of George Clinton, Francois K, Bonobo and Gene Farris. She started producing in 2006, after she grew tired of male producers either not understanding how she wanted to sound, or luring her into the studio to hang out, then asking her to freestyle on the mic, while hitting ‘record’ and releasing music without her consent. Her first release as a producer was in 2011 on E-man's Liberate Recordings label, a track called "Peace Lives Here" ft. Valerie Troutt. A multi-hyphenate musician who has found various creative outlets over the years, Rimarkable believes in DJing and producing as a spiritual practice, exploring alchemy through the DJ art form as well as African spiritualism, healing, mental health and self-care. It’s a philosophy that eventually manifested as a lecture and classroom series called ‘The Alchemy of DJing’, a means for her to creatively engage in social justice, and empower women and youth. Scan 7 is a mysterious techno collective in Detroit consisting of Trackmasta Lou and Mr. Hooper. The duo always wears masks when performing. Of undeniable motor city vintage Scan 7 have long been a rotating cast of veiled producers deeply rooted in the underground culture of America’s midwest and the rich musical heritage of Detroit. With close ties to, and allies with Underground Resistance, Scan 7 have canvassed the word of techno worldwide, and the collective are to be counted as a force within the transgressional wave of Detroit artists that navigated the US-European divide to create a historical axis with Berlin. Delivering Tresor two influential albums in Dark Territory (1996) and Resurfaced (1999) Scan 7 concurrently remain a vital proponent in maintaining techno music’s core values, representing the genre’s formation, foundation and Afro-American origins. Stephan Bodzin has been a hugely influential figure within the global techno scene for years. After starting out by composing music for several prestigious European theatres, Stephan Bodzin soon fell in love with nocturnal club sounds and began producing his own brand of techno. He impressed right from the off and has gone on to work with Oliver Huntemann under myriad aliases including Rekorder or with Marc Romboy including on albums like “Luna” and more recently “Kerberos & Styx” in 2014. In the future he plans to continue doing what he has does best, creating and playing timeless records, and asserting his position within the rich history of Detroit Techno. "A lot of DJs are switching over digital technology as a medium for their performances. I've been very reluctant to take that step. I am a vinyl DJ first and foremost, so I'll probably play records until my favorite labels stop pressing them. Mainly because I find them more reliable. I've never had a record crate crash in the middle of one of my shows and kill all of the music. Additionally, I think there's something to be said for the tradition of DJs playing old fashioned wax with analog turntables. Music from the future, made and performed with equipment from the past!"

In 1999 the SuPERLONgevity compilation was released, featuring 'Bushes', a track that has since garnered chart-topping remixes from the likes of Derrick Carter and Fatboy Slim. Franzmann also recorded with Peter "Baby" Ford and has appeared on Ford's label PAL SL. He is a regular guest DJ in clubs around the world and holds residencies at Robert Johnson (Offenbach) and the Panorama Bar (Berlin). Having been influenced by the early days of Detroit Techno, as well as the glory days of the Electro Funk and Miami Bass era, the duo had the vision to create something that could actually become a style of Electro, helping not just to revive it, but also to give it a direction which the sound could take and evolve from what it once was…and that’s exactly what happened, the rest is history! Having been involved in the making of Electro sounds for almost 25 years, Tommy “Tom Tom” Hamilton, Keith “K-1″ Tucker, William “POSATRONIX” Smith, and Anthony “BlakTony” Horton have just about done it all. To this day, they continue to push the boundaries by not just perfecting the mix, but also by innovating on what has previously been done. Brendan M Gillen is the founder of cult label Interdimensional Transmissions, central figure in Ectomorph, and legendary DJ and live act under his moniker BMG. His 25 year musical vision and near encyclopedic musical knowledge have led him to be one of the key figures and visionaries in contemporary dance music. His parties (most famously but not limited to No Way Back) are the greatest contemporary manifestation of the Detroit party continuum that reaches back to the parties of Plastikman, the Music Institute, Voom, and beyond. A master weaver of true psychedelic musical tapestry, BMG has a way of making the strange familiar and the familiar strange. Expect the unexpected.

The parties are joyous, captivating affairs which always leave revellers with a story or two to tell. “I think that’s what music is missing: Live frequencies. I miss those days when people just created from the love of music.” When Byron The Aquarius talks about live frequencies, his enthusiasm is infectious. A keys player by trade, Byron’s love for melody and harmony has consistently drawn the attention of electronic music’s leading labels and producers. In 2015, Byron released a ten track solo album on BBE entitled “Planets of Love.” When he wasn’t working on his own music, he was playing keys in the studio with Kai Alce. These creations got into the hands of Theo Parrish, who loved the sound of his sublime jazz-infected house and picked two tracks to release on his legendary Sound Signature label in 2016. The resulting “Highlife EP” has been hailed as “stunning”, “intoxicating” and “essential.” In the years since, Byron has released a consistently high level of music on Wild Oats, Eglo records & more. From Utrecht, Carista is the DJ everyone wants to open for them. Self-taught, she bought her first pair of turntables at 19 and turned to YouTube tutorials. After winning a mixtape competition hosted by Rotterdam club BIRD in 2012, she landed a gig and subsequent residency at BIRD and other local clubs. Word started to travel about the charismatic selector, curator, and DJ. She went on to land herself a monthly radio show at Red Light Radio and NTS which got her noticed by a slew of festival programmers. She’s since made her debuts on Boiler Room and at festivals like Secretsundaze, Dekmantel, and ADE, where she opened for De School’s 62-hour party. Her sets are never predictable but always highly danceable. Through her NTS show United Identities, she hopes to continue to promote diversity and inclusivity in the club scene.

Based between Athens and London, Lee Adams is a multi-media artist, DJ and curator who has worked extensively with sound, film and visual installations, from re-scoring a lost David Toop soundscape for conceptual artist John Latham, to collaborating with noise violinist Mia Zabelka on the touring project Rotten Sun. Working under the name Choronzon he plays brutal, expansive and cinematic dj sets fusing elements of techno, noise, experimental electronics and body music for clubs, galleries and festivals across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. In addition to his nineteen year residency at the helm of Kaos London Lee has made guest appearances for the CTM Festival at Tresor, Khidi, Forte Festival, Champ Libre, Macadam, Balenciaga at Rex Club Paris, Gegen Berlin, Astron Bar for Fasma Festival Athens and Exist, the first electronic music festival in Ramallah, Palestine. He curated and performed at The Boiler Room: Kaos London edition and has completed a four year residency on Rinse FM. He has created podcasts for New Brvtalism, Phormix, Root Radio (Istanbul) and Mindless (Morocco). He runs Khemia Records and also curates the Kaos London Podcast series. A well traveled person from having lived in Japan, Korea and the USA as a teenager Enyang emigrated to Berlin in her twenties to tap into a new scene and sound unique to the city. Since then she has been intimately involved in the experimental music scene having performed at CTM festival in January of 2021. Serendipity found Enyang in Berlin and it was this city that transformed her passion for music and took her on a new path, one which would expose her to some of the most cutting edge artists of the world. Having worked intimately with the releases of some of the most experimental artists of our time, Enyang’s own musical sensibility and need for experimentation aligns closely with the roster of her impressive clientele. Driven by a need to express the inherent beauty within the unusual, different or other she uses recordings of her own body’s movements and functions to create a unique sound palette. These recordings become the musical apparatus Enyang uses to compose her tracks. Through the digitisation of her body she is able to transform the sound of her pelvis into a baseline, quite literally making the core of her physical body the foundation of her musical form. In the same way the snapping of an ear become high hats, or an elbow becomes a textured sound hidden in the composition of the track. By metabolising the sounds of her body she is able to build these tracks organically, even through the use of modular synthesizers there remains an intimacy to the EP.

Upon graduating he began performing with the Detroit Symphony Civic Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Detroit's own Godfather of jazz, the late Marcus Belgrave. While performing locally with this ensemble, he also attended Wayne State University where he studied jazz piano under Matt Michaels. As time went on, word of mouth began to spread about Dixon and his talents. While in college he accompanied The Mosaic Youth Theater of Detroit as an accompanist/bandleader for their productions and concerts as well as performed all over the city and state. Jon currently teaches multiple group piano classes at the Michigan State University Community Music School in Midtown Detroit. He has had the chance to also play for/with Chick Corea, Jeff Hamilton, Robert Hurst, Delfayo Marsalis, John Clayton, The Count Basie Orchestra, Marcus Belgrave, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Leon Ware, Eric Roberson, Dwele, Amp Fiddler and more over the past decade. Recently Dixon has been taking another approach towards music and production while currently working on various Hi-Tech Jazz projects. In 2015 Jon started an independent label, 4EVR 4WRD (Forever Forward) to focus on making electronic music fused with elements of Jazz, Hip Hop and other styles of music. "I feel that it is important for me as a musician to not only continue the rich culture and history of both jazz and electronic music but to also use my knowledge, theory and experience to combine the two and take both genres to the next level!" Having been selected as part of the emerging artist programme for the 2022 edition of Body Movements Festival and with an appearance on Refuge Worldwide, a residency on AAJA radio and DJing at queer parties in London, they have already laid an exceptional foundation to becoming an established name. Influenced by the sounds of 90s house and trance, their mixes are punchy and euphoric with an eclectic mix of genres.

Lena Willikens doesn’t play the hits. When she’s behind the decks, even her biggest fans often have no idea exactly what she’s playing, and that’s part of the magic. Like all DJs, Willikens of course has a passion for records and is always on the hunt for elusive bits of music, but as an artist, her work doesn’t hinge on any one track or even a handful of tracks. She’s after something bigger, something that’s truly transportive for those on the dancefloor, and the tracks she plays – whether they’re bizarre slices of synth exploration, some ominously churning proto-industrial stomp, or something else that simply defies classification – are all parts of a larger, more psychically satisfying whole. These days, however, Willikens' radio adventures happen on NTS, where she pilots the monthly Lightning Conductor program. Now based in Amsterdam, her curatory prowess prompted an invite from Dekmantel to put together the fifth installment of their acclaimed Selectors compilation series, and she also contributed a track to the label’s run of all-star 10th anniversary EPs. As a remixer, she's been tapped in recent years to rework the likes of Lena Platonos, rRoxymore, S U R V I V E, Simian Mobile Disco, and Ana Helder, amongst others. And amidst all this activity, she's also been busy with Phantom Kino Ballett, a collaboration with artist Sarah Szczesny that lands somewhere between immersive audio-visual experience and performance art, allowing Willikens to indulge her transportive impulses in a completely new way. Hailing from Montreal, Maara has made her mark on the dance music scene since her 2021 breakout EP 'Ultimate Reward' on NAFF recordings. Maara has continued to build a name for herself, releasing her subsequent EP on Sonido Isla 'Potion Activated', which features 'The Forbidden Plum', nominated for Best Song of 2021 by Resident Advisor. Her most recent release on Radiant Love 'Goddess Within' celebrates queerness with its hot, euphoric energy. In addition to her solo releases, Maara has contributed to various international compilations and continues to bless the scene by bringing a playful atmosphere to dance floor bangers. Her mixes and DJ sets cover high energy progressive, trance, electro, break beat lit energy.

Coming into the mix under the encouragement and instruction of Dan Bell and Claude Young, Magda began djing in 1996 working her way through the underground party circuit, via promoters, such as: Syst3m, and joining the all female dj collective: Women on Wax, it was only a short while before she began appearing regularly at Detroit area events and clubs.,1999 saw Magda’s initial forays into techno, electro and house evolve. Her dj sets were becoming increasingly minimal and the records in her box reflected a love of weird, challenging music. Invited by Richie Hawtin to open for him at his millennium celebration: Epok, Magda was entering a new phase in her career.,In the time since, Magda has expanded her work with Hawtin, becoming his sole choice to open many of his recent Detroit and international events, including: Jak DEMF weekend :2001, Control. labor day weekend: 2001, as well as earning an envious position on the line up of “From Our Minds To Yours” the Plus 8 ten year anniversary party.,The next few months will see Magda going on her third european tour alongside Richie Hawtin and making the jump from dj to producer, releasing music under the moniker: Run/Stop Restore on the Minus label.

Mama Snake first garnered attention as a DJ as part of Copenhagen's now-disbanded Apeiron Crew. She entered the techno scene with a fully formed sound: rattlesnake beats and emotional synths tied together by imperceptible mixing. Her watertight online mixes quickly earned her a following, and she's now busy balancing her life as a touring techno DJ with her job as a recently qualified surgeon.

Representing real drum and bass at it’s finest, Mantra’s deep and emotive sound in the mix comes from an intense passion for the music. With a selection that’s both inspirational as well as educational, her sets bring the beats into balance and cross the spectrum of dark and uplifting styles. Much more than just a DJ, Mantra has already made an impact across the drum and bass scene and looks set to keep rolling strong. Conscious of the history of the music she loves yet always looking to push things forward, she’s no newcomer and her involvement with drum and bass runs much deeper than just a hobby. Having worked for record distributers SRD as well as promoting her own regular club night, Rupture, she’s learnt from the ground up and built a solid foundation on which she continues to grow.

Over the last ten years, Mark Farina has built himself up to become one of the most sought-after DJs in dance music today. Though he is mostly recognized for his deep-house DJ prowess, it is Farina’ wide-ranging musical knowledge that helped shape the Mushroom Jazz series, a continuously mixed collection of down-tempo, dance-floor jazz for the turntablist generation. A mix-tape made over eight years ago was the project’ original seed – a similarly-styled tape of jazz tunes that articulated a mellower counterpart to the up-tempo “Acid Jazz” movement of the day.,Farina’ “Mushroom Jazz” sound subsequently became popular through a long-running San Francisco club called Jazid Up, then through various Mushroom Jazz clubs thrown domestically and abroad.,Farina began his DJing career at the age of 15, inspired by the strong house and dance music scene pulsating in Chicago’ underground. Along with long time friend and DJ partner, Derrick Carter, Farina cut his teeth on the college radio airwaves of Northwestern University’ WNUR every Friday night for 2 years. Roi Perez is a Berlin-based DJ, After a headstart playing records in 2011 as a local resident in Tel Aviv’s underground queer clubbing scene, he moved to Berlin in 2013 in order to continue his personal journey of establishing a coherent, creative and diverse musical language, skills, style and knowledge. Not so long after, he started playing to Berlin’s busiest dancefloors, including being invited to play at the notorious fetish club Lab. Oratory and Berghain’s Panorama Bar. In 2015 Roi started touring worldwide, performing in important clubs and destinations all across the globe. Roi’s long, eclectic sets offer a dynamic musical journey through genres and styles, where house and techno music are weaved together with disco and electro to create a hypnotizing, powerful yet playful musical experience. Roi is currently living in Berlin, working as a music selector in the local branch of London’s important music establishment Phonica Records.

Russell has painstakingly cultivated a unique artistic expression that integrates and investigates themes around process, technological innovation, the archive, and decolonization. Their works have taken the form of vinyl records, digital audio releases, live A/V performances, and special archiving projects. Russell’s work has been featured in publications like the New Yorker, Resident Advisor, the East Bay Express, New York Dance Music zine Love Injection, and Bermuda’s national paper, The Royal Gazette. Their dynamic performances have helped them keep a busy tour scheduled, traveling as far and wide as Ukraine, France, Portugal, and the Netherlands to name a few. Through their work with modular synthesizers, Russell has been awarded grants and positions as a featured artist. In 2016, Russell began working with the Synthesizer Library in Portland, Oregon as an artist in residence. There they recorded, performed and held workshops for students. As an extension of this work, Russell’s expertise as an electronic musician was documented in the book Patch & Tweak by Kim Bjørn. This is an educational book about the development and implementation of modular synthesizers. In it Russell shares the intersections of their experiences as a Black, Queer, Trans immigrant in America and how that has informed their process as a musician. In 2019, Russell was awarded the Traveling Scholars Fellowship from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts to continue their work with modular synthesizers at the Synthesizer Library’s Prague, Czech Republic location. They would utilize this time to create over 30 compositions, some of which have been featured on NYC label Mr. Saturday Night and pioneering Berlin techno outfit, Tresor. Most recently, in 2021, Russell has worked as a featured artist, digitally archiving records from the collection of House Music pioneer, Frankie Knuckles, as part an installation created by Theaster Gates in a group show curated by renowned writer and curator, Antwan Sargent, titled “Social Works”. They have also featured on a digital and vinyl compilation celebrating the 30th anniversary of pioneering Techno organization, Tresor. Russell also works professionally as a recording, mix, and mastering engineer, an educator, and a consultant for special audio projects and films. A classically trained pianist and composer, she also studied music production at college before playing synths & guitars in indie bands, while discovering a wide range of electronic and club music. She soon fell in love with the London club scene and the art of DJing and never looked back. A regular DJ on the London club circuit and queer scene, notable appearances include playing London's The Cause on NYE, popular techno party Night Service, headlining the Big Dyke Energy stage at Body Movements Festival and their night at Venue MOT, as well as filming a livestream for Beatport as part of the Rising Stars series curated by Maya Jane Coles where she racked up over 20k viewers live on Twitch. With a self-produced debut techno EP (and neoclassical piano LP) in the works, her high-energy, dark and playful genre-bending sets are rooted in techno but also touch on electro, synthwave, industrial, acid and UK bass. In the summer she recorded her debut guest mix for Rinse FM and has since ventured into composing music for trailers, alongside spending the second half of 2022 honing her production skills and building up a vast and varied collection of original material. 2023 will see her return to DJing more regularly as she gears up for her debut releases.

Shaun Reeves is an internationally-acclaimed DJ, producer and label owner. A founding member of the trailblazing group Visionquest, his influence reaches far beyond the cities he has called home and stretches around the globe. Growing up in Michigan and brought up musically on a diet of house and techno in nearby Detroit, Shaun moved to the city in his late teens and began organizing small club nights and loft parties with his friends. ̸BIOGRAPHY Kansas City-born Zoey Shopmaker, aka Sister Zo, has long been on a path entirely of her own making. After getting her start performing at underground poetry events in her hometown, she eventually moved on to playing live beat sets during open mic nights at one of KC's most pivotal queer nightlife institutions of the 21st century, the Uptown Arts Bar. Occasionally she'd wander upstairs to Niche, a 100-cap club with a legendary sound system known as the Meta HiFi. There she got her first taste of the sounds of the UK bass continuum and the LA beat scene, with its prominent figureheads like Flying Lotus, Ras G and Shlohmo. Ever the nomad, she would spend her mid-twenties traveling, flitting between cities like New York and LA and the mountainous terrain of the Colorado Rockies. At 26 years old, she left behind a stable career in psychotherapy to pursue her creative dreams. This would lead her back to Niche where a ravenous desire to evolve as an artist connected her with Peter Anthony, aka Coughman, who ran the independent KC collective and label, Intelligent Sound. Soon Anthony encouraged Zo and her friends Mazzy Mann and Lorelei Kretsinger to build a platform of their own. In October 2017, the three of them founded the UN/TUCK queer/trans collective and record label. Over the next two years, they tirelessly built UN/TUCK into an internationally recognized platform, releasing their own music and organizing shows and parties curated specifically for trans and queer people in Kansas City. Under the name BTRFLY, Zo produced her own LA-inspired beats and rapped over them in her sets. As she delved further into the realms of Chicago house, early 2000s UK dubstep, and the hybrid sounds of Hessle Audio, Hyperdub and Idle Hands, she discovered a profound love for DJing and a different kind of production. Now based in Brooklyn, she has made definitive creative statements in 2022, releasing her debut EP, Screw Cheek, on acclaimed UK club label, Scuffed Recordings, and a follow-up EP, Freak Shift, on Martyn's hallowed 3024 imprint, as well as a slew of national bookings at Bunker NY, Texture Detroit, Sole Rehab, clubs like Nowadays, Good Room and Kremwerk, festivals like Slingshot and Honcho Campout and many more on the horizon. „The challenging sets he delivers are not always easy, but almost always ingenious“ Strange Sounds From Beyond Vladimir Ivkovic is a DJ. He’s more than that of course, but as his essence, Ivkovic is someone with a particularly unique talent for selecting records and weaving them into a larger – and often unusually compelling – narrative. Born and raised in Belgrade, he first dabbled in DJing as a teenager in the mid ’80s, but it was only after leaving Yugoslavia (to study in Germany) and later coming back for a summertime visit that he truly immersed himself in the craft, taking up position behind the decks during a series of impromptu parties at a lakeside restaurant owned by his parents. From there, he spent much of the next two decades honing his skills while throwing events like Selected and Substance that played host to a cross-section of boundary-pushing DJs, long before it was fashionable to do so. Eventually, Ivkovic found his musical and spiritual home at Salon des Amateurs, an unassuming spot in Düsseldorf that’s gradually proven to be wildly influential, giving rise in recent years to otherworldly talents like Lena Willikens, Tolouse Low Trax, Jan Schulte and many others, including Ivkovic himself. With its small size, Salon des Amateurs provided something of an open platform, a place where true music lovers could experience DJs exploring sounds and genres that strayed far from traditional electronic dance music tropes. That same adventurous spirit has found its way into Ivkovic’s curation of Offen Music, a label he launched in 2015. ̸BIOGRAPHY Technology, Aliens, Detroit Hailing from the Rust Belt suburbs of Detroit, Chris Macom, aka Zen Zero, began his music journey through love of computers. Soon he was experimenting with building computers, exploring audio programs, and connecting random home audio equipment to his PC. Chris had early exposure to hip-hop and dance music from neighborhood friends, and DJs on local Detroit radio shows that would draw him to DJing as a teenager. Coming of age in the burgeoning Detroit rave scene of the late-90s, Chris was exposed to underground house and techno. Playing house parties, dances, and graduations allowed him to hone his DJ skills and nuances of playing for a crowd. Hours on his computer were spent learning the bare bones of audio production, and burning bootleg CDs of DJ mixes to fund his ever growing record collection. After high school, Chris started a record label and makeshift studio with a tight knit group of friends in a dilapidated ice cream truck warehouse. “Hodges” as it became known, was the home base for a stream of parties, a record label, and hours spent in the studio. Here, Chris learned proper recording and mixing from a close friend and business partner. At the same time, Chirs found himself playing an ever expanding amount of DJ gigs around Detroit, as well as serving as a DJ and hype man for local hip hop emcees. With the Detroit rave scene taking a pause in the early 2000s,Chris and his longtime friend started the first Detroit Techno blog and podcast to fill the void and keep themselves sane. During a dry period in Detroit party culture, they used this format to promote events around the city, promote new releases/artists, and interviewed increasingly bigger DJs. At one point it was one of the Top 10 Techno blogs in the world, featuring DJs such as the Detroit Techno Militia crew, Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale, and Dave Clarke. Eventually, being allowed Press access to the Movement festival allowed them to network further in the electronic music community. From here, Chris’s DJ career took off, and you could find him playing at Detroit dance clubs like TV Lounge, The Works, Grasshopper Underground, as well as Ann Arbor's famous Necto Lounge, playing with DJ’s T-1000, Delano Smith, Araab Muzik, Jay Daniel, Monty Luke, Todd Osborn, Tadd Mullinex, DJ Holographic, DJ Minx, and Norm Talley. Recently, Chris formed 5th DImension Detroit with some like minded DJs that encompasses a record label, series of parties, and a crew of DJs. 5th Dimension has thrown parties at Detroit hotspots like Marble Bar, Tangent Gallery, The High Dive, and The Magic Stick, as well as pop up events in Detroit’s Eastern Market and on the Riverfront. Chris has shared the stage with artists like Scan 7, Maceo Plex, Luke Hess, Boo Williams, Hiroko Yamamura, Derrick Carter, Dez Andres, Derek Plaislaiko, and Justin Cudmore. The 5th Dimension label has released Chris’s biggest track to date “Aliens In My Room”, getting international play and featured on the HATE youtube channel. They also recently released “Traveler’s Compilation”, reaching #1 album release on Beatport in the Techno Raw/Deep/Hypnotic genre, with his single “Next Train to Neptune” reaching respectively at #9 in the genre. Chris is currently in the Studio working on his next album and music video that he hopes will take him to an even higher level. As his name implies, he tries to traverse the Techno landscape with Zen and Stoic philosophies in an attempt to live clear minded and do what comes natural.
