  • LUCKY DONE GONE

People who have seen Lucky Done Gone play, know it’s not just his sets that are contagious, but it’s the friendly artist’s vibe that is catching too. His eyes are always fixed on the crowd in front of him, making sure everybody is enjoying the music as much as he is. His sets are a mixture of eternal styles: dreamy house, 90’s techno, leftfield sounds and trance influences. Going from subdued vibes to the more emotional side of things. Next to dj-ing Lucky Done Gone launched his own platform Modus in 2022 at the latest club ‘Parallel’ in Amsterdam. It’s here that he can connect people and show his diverse musical taste in multiple ways, which goes far beyond just house and techno. As a creator Lucky Done Gone has worked hard on his own music productions these past years. This has led to a release on the DGTL Records music label in 2022. More music is on its way now and will see the light of day very soon. With key performances at festivals such as Lowlands, Wildeburg, DGTL, and Awakenings to his name, Lucky is becoming an increasingly figure in the electronic music scene. In addition, he has made a name for himself at popular clubs such as WAS, Skatecafe, and Woodstock in the Netherlands, and has expanded his reach beyond the country with gigs at Macadam in Nantes (FR) and Desi in Nuremberg (GE). Watch out because it looks like there are plenty of occasions to catch Lucky Done Gone somewhere in the near future!

  • Adriatique

After getting to know each other in Zürich in 2008, Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer became inseparable, not just as friends, but also as artists. The two men carved out a career as one of the most consistently delivering DJ/producer duos in the house and techno scene: Adriatique. The key to an enduring partnership is, of course, to complement each other, and the two Adrians do so admirably. Music-wise, their various tastes combine into one unique sound, and their respective preference for studio work and performance means that both aspects are equally well covered. Adriatique’s DJ performances as well as their productions are long, meditative, relentlessly building affairs, ever challenging the listener with subtle twists interrupting their hypnotic groove. There is more to the duo than just a well-oiled electronic music machine, however. They also live together, draw plans together, and support art in all its forms together. ~ Official Website

A couple of years after winning the Beatport Breakthrough Award in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll, ANNA enters the list at No.95. Known to her parents as Ana Miranda, she went from playing to a 1,500-strong crowd at the age of 14 in her home country of Brazil to fronting DJ Mag North America in 2019. New music from ANNA has been huge in festival sets for many world-leading techno DJs all summer. Then there was the richly deserved Essential Mix for the BBC that started 2019 off right, as the Brazilian distilled 20 years of DJing experience into an inspiring two-hour techno masterclass. • CLAUDIO PRC

̸BIOGRAPHY Italian DJ and electronic music producer born in 1987 in Sardinia, based in Berlin. Creating sonic bridges from the literal, perceivable world into mythical, imaginal realms is what Sardinian-born and Berlin-based DJ and Producer Claudio PRC might be best known for. Since appearing in the Italian deep techno scene in 2006, he has developed an immersive sound world inspired by a fascination with Detroit techno and electroacoustics. By studying Music and New Technologies, he gained sonic and tonal combination skills - this, paired with a conscious, philosophical approach, has led him to create a distinct sound. A sound that understands electronic music through a cyclical, cosmic lens. Instead of using extravertive elements, he enhances the overall experience through a wide-screen appeal, playing with spatial awareness through details and taking the audience on a journey into the all-or-nothing of sound. Following the first album “Inner State” on Prologue Music in 2012, Claudio released long players on Semantica Records and his co-founded label, TGP (The Gods Planet). An undeniably profound connection to the island of Sardinia is palpable in all of his works. It surfaces through the relationship with his home base collective Basstation in Cagliari or the appearance of oceanic references in his music like in his most recent, well-received EP “Challenger Deep” on the dutch label Delsin Records (2022). In 2020, Claudio founded 012, a platform for art and sound research. 012 is a canvas to live the unconstrained and interconnected nature of artistic vision. Next to being a label showcasing collaborative work, it is also a curated night held at several clubs across Europe. Collaborations include closely connected artists such as Luigi Tozzi or, more recently, Blazej Malinowski. Over the years, he created a flourishing ecosystem of artists and producers and invites them to join 012 or to his ambient-explorative radio show Deepartment. The combination of audio and visual experiences is as important as the connection between the real and the imaginal in Claudio’s work. One apparent example was his performance “From the nebular stars to the mosses on the granite rocks” during Berlin Art Week in 2015. Like in everything he does, a Claudio PRC DJ set is a meticulously sewn journey. This makes him a key protagonist in the emerging world of hypnotic techno, playing regularly at an international level at the most reputable festivals and clubs. Resident DJ at Prague’s Ankali, from 2023 on Claudio PRC is holding a residency at Berlin’s long-standing Techno institution Tresor. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Creating sonic bridges from the literal, perceivable world into mythical, imaginal realms is what Sardinian-born and Berlin-based DJ and Producer Claudio PRC might be best known for. • Danielle

̸BIOGRAPHY When a true selector takes flight, it sounds as though they re-mould each track to fit their specific vision. That’s exactly the effect Danielle has as a DJ, drawing across stylistic divides to create an instinctive groove which is all her own. On top of a foundational core of house, techno and electro she folds in myriad sonic wildcards to create dynamic, innovative variations on the club music experience. It’s logical her tastes would be omnivorous – Danielle spent 10 years working at fabled London record shop Phonica, one of the definitive destinations for dance music in the city, as well as a lengthy tenure at iconic Bristol store Idle Hands. Being across new releases week in, week out is one thing, but knowing how to stitch them together is another. From the breakthrough years perfecting the craft of a great warm-up to her long-standing residency on NTS Radio since 2017, Danielle shaped her approach to DJing from a free-thinking, fluid angle which still rings true now she’s more commonly found at the top of the bill. Danielle’s DJing has touched upon vital events, venues and locations around the world, from touring the US and playing flagship festivals like Glastonbury, Dimensions, Kala and Love International, to clubs like DC10, Fabric, The White Hotel, Corsica Studios and Tresor, holding down a residency season for Colour Factory in London and Left Bank in Tbilisi, and frequently picked for parties as revered as Timedance, Herrensauna and Livity Sound. In tandem, her skills have been recognised by key publications including Mixmag, DJ Mag (she was nominated as a best breakthrough DJ in 2020) and Resident Advisor. Beyond her own DJ work (she’s also a frequent contributor to many a mix series), Danielle also takes the time to impart her experience and knowledge to the next generation via her classes at Mix Nights – a non-profit organisation she helped set up seven years ago to encourage women and non-binary people to explore the art of DJing. Elsewhere, she works in an A&R and consultancy capacity for Team Love – a role which speaks to her consistent instinct for new developments within club music. Similarly, her label Soft Raw was founded in 2022 as a platform to champion the fresh talent she comes across in her position as a revered DJ. All these elements feed into the overall mission Danielle is on, pursuing her love of dynamic, physical soundsystem music with errant coding in its DNA. Keyed into new revolutions in the ever-evolving culture of the dancefloor, Danielle melds her impeccable taste together with fierce commitment and flair, delivering the impulse to move and presenting wholly new ideas to any crowd, any party, any time, anywhere.

̸BIOGRAPHY DJ, producer and affiliate of Intercept records based in [NL] French II is a Dutch DJ and producer based in Tilburg. French II weavs together eclectic mixes of breaks, Bass and techno. In September 2021 he earned himself a residency at the celebrated Amsterdam DJ-bar Radio Radio. • Héctor Oaks

As one of Europe’s most wanted underground weapons, Héctor Oaks style stands out for playing the unexpected and the highly engaging. As DJ, producer and label head his take on techno resonates by combining the contemporary with hand-picked tracks from the history of rave culture. Héctor Oaks has been behind the turntables for almost half of his life. Gaining his first credits in Madrid's underground, it was when he relocated to Berlin, that his DJing really took off. Not long after his move to the German capital, the trained sound engineer released his first vinyl releases on KEY VINYL. This kick-start into the fertile soils of Berlin’s underground lay the foundation of a career, that has taken off internationally in the past years. It’s the dancefloors that taught this DJ his outstanding empathy and intuition for the sounds, that make a crowd vibrate. Constant practice and the dedication to music shaped his style. Known for his stamina and mixing skills, it is his selection that truly stands out. What seems eclectic on the first sight, is a well-curated mix of vinyl gems. Héctor Oaks seeks for the sweet spot between tracks that are connected not by genre but vibe and style. As vinyl-only DJ, his selection thrives on Oaks’ passion for digging in record shops all around the world. Not to mention the years in Berlin ́s infamous Record Loft, that served the local scene with an outstandingly broad selection of 2nd hand vinyl. When in the mood for a proper rave, you will find Oaks playing under his alias Cadency. The moniker is home to the more explorative side of genres: breaks, ghetto, oomphy grooves and a pinch of funk. As Oaks’s calls it: techno body music gone pop. Cadency’s appearances are rare, so catch them while they’re hot.

  • Ineffekt

̸BIOGRAPHY Through a blend of glistening vocal pieces, strings of dreamy melodies and distinctive rhythms, Ineffekt cleverly takes on a sound that both feels comfortable and illusive. It’s a nonchalant approach that results in colorful euphoria. Debut releases 'Kora' (Album, 2021) and 'Broken Dreams / Solaris' (EP, 2020) on Intercept, as well as a string of remixes including Coloray's ‘Blinded’ and Luna Morgenstern’s ‘Click Work Drop’ capture the above. Surrounding themselves with influences from a wide range of contemporary music, including breakbeat, pop and techno, it’s not so much aiming for a specific, but reaching for a compromise between eras and stylistically diverse sounds. That fusion of influences also shows up on the long list of releases planned for 2023. Leading to esteemed artists and platforms in the left-field to embrace his output. Following his 2020 debut EP, Ineffekt broadened his horizon by exploring hypermodern contemporary music that resulted in a run of original productions and remixes, including his debut album ‘Kora’, that have influences from all over the place, most notably breakbeat and altpop, as well as hints from a new wave of colorful electronica that has been developing in recent years. Consequently the 21-year-old supported Avalon Emerson, Bicep, Bonobo and Mall Grab on their tour nights, as well as performing at DGTL Festival, Dekmantel Selectors and prominent club De School in Amsterdam. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Catch The Sun / A Blackbird Rose on Intercept (2022) Kora on Intercept (2021) A Dream of Spring on Something Happening Somewhere (2021) Broken Dreams / Solaris on Intercept (2020)

Spain-based producer Eric Estornel initially reserved the name Maceo Plex for his festival-friendly house productions before gradually taking the project into a darker, more introspective direction. After establishing himself in the techno world for his work as Maetrik beginning in the early 2000s, and exploring more abstract electro and IDM as Mariel Ito around the middle of the decade, he began releasing some of his most accessible tracks under the Maceo Plex handle starting in 2009. Over the course of the following decade, the project evolved from deep, sexy house with prominent Chicago and Detroit influences (such as on debut full-length Life Index) to a significantly more dramatic sound (particularly the ambitious Solar). In addition to releasing singles and full-lengths on well-regarded labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Kompakt, and Minus, Maceo Plex has mixed volumes of the DJ-Kicks and Fabric series. ~ AllMusic

̸BIOGRAPHY French electronic music producer based in Berlin, Germany. Quelza (real name Léo Naït Aïssa), was born at the end of the 90s in the Parisian suburbs. Lulled in the arts since his childhood, his connection with music is made at an early age. But it's in 2013 that he made his first encounter with the Parisian electronic scene which inspired him to start producing his own tracks. Over the years, Quelza has made a name for himself in the scene, earning the respect of renowned artists, such as Oscar Mulero, DVS1, Marcel Dettmann, Ancient Methods, Efdemin or Tommy Four Seven to name a few, and committing to in-depth projects and releases. Quelza is assiduous when it comes to his music - his releases on labels like Mord Records, Palinoia, 47, Hayes Collective and others, push an unorthodox crystal clarity and cinematic sound design that has become his signature as an artist - which, combined with his unique DJ sets, has earned him a spot at some of the most prestigious clubs in Berlin (where he is currently based) and abroad, such as: Berghain, Tresor, Fabric London, Reaktor, KHIDI and several more. Quelza, counts as one of the most satisfyingly mature young guns to emerge out the new wave of techno artists that’s been unfurling in recent times, with an exquisitely panoramic view into his mental multiverse. Championing layered techno wares laced with a breaksy, IDM-informed touch that packs a punch, the Frenchman keeps on carving out a truly distinctive, shape-shifting signature, switching scopes and angles as he ups the rhythmic pressure with every next sequence.

  • Rebekah

Generally billed just by her first name, Rebekah Teasdale is a DJ and producer from Birmingham, England who has been active since the mid-'90s. Like most figures of the Birmingham techno scene, her tracks are often hard, dark, and minimalist, with heavy pounding beats and gradual suspenseful development. An avid clubgoer since her youth, she began spinning records in 1996, at the age of 16. She spent several years as a model in order to provide financial support for her DJ career. She released an edit of the Mighty Dub Katz's house anthem "It's Just Another Groove" in 2004, but her first original productions, starting with 2007's "Toad in a Hole," were minimal tech-house. By the early 2010s, her sound had gotten darker and heavier, and she eventually caught the attention of Chris Liebing, who released Rebekah's Cycles EP on his CLR label in 2013. ~ AllMusic

Initially based in Windsor, Ontario and connected with the techno scene in nearby Detroit, he co-founded the highly influential Plus 8 (and its harder sublabel Probe Records) along with John Acquaviva, later establishing Minus and relocating to Berlin during the early 2000s, just as minimal techno began receiving mainstream exposure. • The Blessed Madonna

Marea Stamper, professionally known as the Blessed Madonna, is one of the most celebrated DJs of her time, thanks to her eclectic, joyous sets, which can encompass anything from classic electro and new wave to the latest techno and house white labels. Her production work, including the widely praised 2016 single "He Is the Voice I Hear," walks the line between disco and techno, with the emotional weight of the former and the driving momentum of the latter. One of dance music's foremost activists, she is renowned for her commitment to humanitarian work and her outspoken views on LGBTQ rights and gender inclusivity. ~ AllMusic

  • Woody92

Woody92 is a visionary artist who’s musical craft runs parallel with a visual aesthetic resulting in very tangible outcomes. This highly expressive being draws influence from an array of external factors outside of music; subjects such as history, graphic design, the medieval era, the path of religion and the church all play a decisive role. He also keeps a tight circle of like-minded music heads many of which collectively shape the landscape of the Dutch underground scene. His story as an artist can be traced back to his hometown of Delft, a quiet part of the Netherlands with little musical identity but crucially neighbours with bigger brother The Hague. That being said Woody still caught glimpses of the psychadelic Techno, mystical ambient, free tribal tekno and push forward goa and psy-trance movements but locally it failed to rival that of the likes of Rotterdam & Amsterdam.....
