Arthur Bray is one of the Hong Kong/Shanghai/London-based collective Yeti Out, the 30-year-old has worn plenty of hats – model, DJ, editor… the list goes on. This flexibility is something he’s emphasised for Yeti Out, which started as a party-promoting music collective that has now branched out into everything from art shows, a record label and a creative agency. And of course, more parties. Well-known DJs on the Hong Kong and Shanghai party circuit, Arthur and his twin brother Tom are pushing the envelope for underground music in Asia. They’re helping genres such as grime, garage, Afrobeat, bass music, house and techno gain momentum in a city that’s probably better known for its EDM or pop-filled nightclubs than anything else. Hugo first discovered underground house and techno when he worked as an event photographer in 2010. The bold and mesmerizing tunes he heard at legendary venues Yumla and Bassment piqued his interest in the art of DJing. With his photography on hiatus since 2017, Hugo now plays consistent, well-curated sets to diverse audiences. Hugo's taste in 4/4 dance music can best be described as “very deep”, but he also enjoys experimenting with hip hop and indie rock – the two genres he grew up with - when the moment is right. Arriving at each gig with an external hard drive worth of uncompressed music, there are always the right tunes at Hugo's disposal, for a bar session, club night or beach party. Hugo has played at some of Hong Kong's most notable events and venues including Acadana, Fauve Radio, Mihn Club, Oma, Schweinehund Teknival and Shi Fu Miz Festival.

Jake Broome’s mixture of skills, knowledge and crowd pleasing tunes has boosted this 24 year old into the limelight of many nightclubs in Melbourne. Having started DJ’ing in May 2018 Jake’s passion and love for the Melbourne Music scene has seen him grow immensely as to where has has now supported some of the biggest names in the music industry such as Will Sparks, Joel Fletcher and even seen him support a few of his idols from growing up like Short Round, Travlos, Katt Niall & Heath Renata. Jake's growth within the Melbourne has also seen him grow to love new sounds such as House & Techno. Now giving it all a rinse Jake has supported big house names such as Noizu and played at venues such as New Guernica and Circus. Jake’s hasn’t been around for long but has been much loved around Melbourne boasting a huge array of events like Oktoberfest, Let Go Fest, Dreamland and nightclubs he’s played such as Cloud Nine, Code & The Bluestone in Ballarat.

JayMe may not be a familiar name globally, but try mentioning it to any credible DJ in HK, and you will be met with wide opened eyes and a big grin. Cuz he’s one of the most respected figure in the local scene. He grew up in the 70’s witnessing the disco boom first hand. He kept his love collecting records and going to parties for more than 30 years. Began DJing from 2013 alongside his medical career, earning the title “the Disco Doctor”. Started his own Loft style private club in 2015 called Acadana (literally means Party without a care) which has become the most cherished place amongst all underground DJs. Dabbled into Techno territory in 2017 playing at Teknival, Social Room etc. 2018 saw him did several unforgettable gigs at 宀club, the rising star of HK’s scene. Regardless of the genre he’s playing, JayMe is still deeply rooted in old skool NYC style with just one resident DJ for the whole night, à la Larry Levan or Junior Vasquez...

When she's not behind the decks at either of the two clubs at the epicentre of Hong Kong's underground movement - Social Room & Oma - Jo.D enjoys headlining at some of most well respected clubs, including 宀Club Hong Kong, The Council Singapore and Echobay Chongqing. Having started DJing at the mere age of 15, Josh shortly saw himself cemented on the Good Life Festival team, opening one of the main stages in 2014, whilst also touring around New Zealand in the same year. As well as this, doing guest-mixes on FOX FM and Novanation, playing multiple shows in Bali and sneaking into clubs underage (sorry mum). In the years following, he has seen himself travel around the country, playing sets across Australia’s major cities at events such as Oktoberfest in the Gardens and Schoolies, just to name a few. Whether he’s throwing it down behind the decks, or sinking bevs from shoes, it’s clear that Josh has a promising future ahead, with 2017 looking to be his biggest year yet!

Nanogram is the Hong Kong-based DJ project of Jason Ng. Since 2017, Nanogram has evolved through different genres ultimately finding his unique style of blending techno, industrial, and experimental electronic music. Heavily inspired by post-punk and industrial music culture, Nanogram has since determined to bring the dystopian sound to Hong Kong. Realizing the lack of well-tuned sound systems and a music-focused venue in Hong Kong, which limits the possibility of enjoying the far left segment of electronic music, Nanogram found a team of like-minded and driven individuals to build 宀 Club together and started his event series at the club – Entropy 熵, which emphasizes on experimentation on the art of selection, mixing and live performances. Nanogram is a resident DJ of 宀 Club and has performed alongside Phase Fatale, Mr. Ho, Sinus O, and more. He has also performed at a renowned experimental venue in Tokyo, KGR Tokyo, and has contributed a podcast mix to C-Kay’s Coma Hole series.

Growing up in New York, Stephen began his relationship with music playing ten years of jazz and classical trumpet, while enjoying a love for hip-hop on the side. After four years studying in Montreal discovering electronic and house music, Stephen made a move to Hong Kong. At home he started messing around with vinyl, and soon joined Cliché Records under the name Sweet Talk. Moving across many styles from house to ambient to disco to techno, Stephen brings his full energy every time to make the people boogie.
