̸BIOGRAPHY Ziúr is an experimental producer/musician and a fixture in Berlin's rich musical topography. Ziúr is an experimental producer/musician and a fixture in Berlin's rich musical topography. It seems as though she produces her releases in the way someone scoring a television series does, gathering and arranging their selections for each episode … isolating and apprehending definitive scenes and memorializing their ethos in song. Soundtracks, much like her release “Antifate”, guide the listener through radically different emotional states, yet somehow still offer an idea of what underpins a show's (or in this case an album's) particular hues. Ziúr produces music within such a scope, expansive, rich and diverse in texture. The sounds are simultaneously machinistic and deeply anthropomorphic, toying with mechanical isolation and the chaotic spectrum of human emotion. Unlike a soundtrack or score, there is no film to which one can turn to narrativize the music … there is only evocative sounds reaching from each song towards the cybernetic sublime. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Blur - EP 2021 (Now Now) Antifate - Album 2021 (Pan) Now Now - EP 2021 (Now Now) Are We? - EP 2020 (Self Released) ATØ - Album 2019 (Planet Mu) Isn't No Place And All Places The Same Place - Mixtape 2019 (Self Released) U Feel Anything? - Album 2017 (Planet Mu) Deeform - EP 2016 (Objects Limited) Taiga - EP 2016 (Infinite Machine)

  • Aïsha Devi

̸BIOGRAPHY No one on this planet sounds like Aïsha Devi. Her voice is her most powerful tool in a repertoire that includes thumping beats and rave stabs, seraphic and guttural singing, mystical linguistics and corporeal sonics. Born in Switzerland with Nepali Indigenous heritage, a transversal identity was forged, guiding both her personal and creative process. Dislocating pop culture, also evident in her mixes for Resident Advisor, FACT, NTS, BBC Radio and Mixmag, is one of her foundational tools. In 2013 Devi co-founded Danse Noire, a label collective supporting insurrectional electronic music from around the world, where she released her breakout EP, followed by ‘Hakken Dub / Throat Dub’ in 2014, giving context to her universe alongside artists including Ruhail Qaisar, Yikii, and more. In 2015, Aïsha Devi released her debut album, ‘Of Matter And Spirit’, a significant sonic statement rich in political and philosophical subtext. 2018 saw the release of Devi’s sophomore album, ‘DNA Feelings’, an acclaimed record addressing the impact of sound on an atomic level. While she currently uses music as her primary medium of expression, Devi’s practice is fundamentally interdisciplinary - she studied graphic design and collaborates with visual and performance artists as well as making her own interventions within the art world. Devi has worked closely with Chinese artist Tianzhuo Chen on a string of videos, as well as performances together with the Asian Dope Boys collective, most notably at The Barbican and The Broad Museum (LA). She has also recently composed for and performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra at London’s Queen Elizabeth Music Hall. But Aïsha Devi is just as magnetic performing solo. With her mesmeric digital world-building and captivating stage presence she has bowled over crowds at CTM, Primavera, Unsound, Roskilde, Dark Mofo, MoMA PS1 and hundreds of festivals and venues from Japan to Mexico and beyond.

  • Ale Hop

̸BIOGRAPHY Ale Hop crafts complex pop arrangements with an experimental noise edge, utilizing electronic effects and computer software in order to mutate and reshape her instrument and voice. Her live performances merge the physical qualities of music with raw emotional states and unorthodox instrument procedures. She builds layers of sounds by blending a complex repertoire of guitar techniques processed by synthesis devices, to create a music of deep physical intensity. She began her career in the 2000s in Lima’s experimental and underground scene. In 2012, following several years of taking part in different pop and electronic bands, she finally started her solo project after performing alone for the first time in Boiler Room, during her residence at the Red Bull Music Academy New York. Ale Hop has performed, screened and exhibited work internationally at institutions and festivals, such as CTM Festival (2022), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (2021), New York’s Museum of Arts and Design (2021), Australia Independent Film Festival (2021), Stockholm City Film Festival (2021), Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (2020), Somerset House Studios (2019), Heroines of Sound (2019), MALBA Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires (2015). ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Apophenia (Buh Records, 2019) Bodiless (Buh Records, 2018) PANGEA (Buh Records, 2015)

  • Ben Frost

̸BIOGRAPHY Composer and producer, born in Melbourne, Australia in 1980. A member of the Icelandic music collective/record label Bedroom Community, and currently based in Reykjavik, Iceland. The music of Ben Frost is about contrast; influenced as much by Classical Minimalism as by Punk Rock and Metal, Frost's throbbing guitar-based textures emerge from nothing and slowly coalesce into huge, forbidding forms that often eschew conventional structures in favor of the inevitable unfoldings of vast mechanical systems. “…The emotional power of Frost's music comes precisely from the stark contrast between extremely basic musical material and the deadly virtual instruments he invents to perform it… This is Arvo Pärt as arranged by Trent Reznor” – Wire Magazine, 2007 On albums like Steel Wound, released on the Room40 label in 2003 (Pitchfork: “An exemplary ambient experience”), Theory of Machines on Bedroom Community in 2007 (Boomkat: “The Future of electronic music…”) and 2009's BY THE THROAT (NME: “a hollow, unforgiving, brutal yet utterly beautiful record, full of deep intricacies that won’t let you go.”) Frost’s music is more than a cerebral exercise and has an undeniable visceral presence, felt as much as heard. His compositions are created with an acute awareness of the listener and their comfort thresholds, exploiting every extreme of pitch and volume. His notorious, building-shaking performances at international festivals including Montreal’s famed MUTEK combine amplified electronics with the furious thrashing of live guitars. Frost himself has been described as “one of the most interesting and groundbreaking producers in the world today” (Boomkat). His music’s intense physicality has filled gallery spaces and driven contemporary dance productions by Chunky Move, the Icelandic Dance Company, and the acclaimed choreographers Erna Ómarsdottir and Wayne McGregor. Ben recently collaborated with labelmate Daníel Bjarnason, resulting in the album SÓLARIS, released on Bedroom Community in 2011. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY SÓLARIS (2011) By The Throat (2009) Theory of Machines (2007)

  • Dame Area

̸BIOGRAPHY The essence of Dame Area – the project of Barcelona-based duo Silvia Kostance and Viktor L. Crux – is formidable, volatile, unpredictable. During the last years Dame Area developed a unique music style recognized as "Tribal Wave": mixing synth bassline arpeggios and live percussions, noises and congas, industrialism and tribalism, Italian and Spanish, Dame Area are running across the same path and breathing the same air of the EBM/Industrial driven Diseño Corbusier or the drum compositions of Roberto De Simone Across two albums and several EPs for the likes of Mannequin Records, B.F.E Records and their own cult imprint / DIY organization Màgia Roja (described by The Quietus as “a place unlike any other in Spain, perhaps any other on earth”), Dame Area have executed an eclectic, discerning form of contemporary industrial music, deploying compulsive minimal synth and primal polyrhythms, as well as uniquely reconstrued elements of post-punk & EBM. An artistic identity that embraces influence yet eschews compromise. Starting to play live in 2018 they have toured extensively in Europe, sometimes also in a trio format with Jess Webb from Gnod/Anthroprophh at drums.

  • Elena Colombi

London-based DJ, promoter and NTS radio host. Boss at Osàre! Editions. Many DJs claim to be champions of free-spirited eclecticism, but few truly break boundaries or swerve convention. Step forward Elena Colombi, a DJ and radio host whose inspired sets are not only open-minded and mind-altering, but also seek to toy with the emotions of listeners and dancers via shifts in intensity, tone, light and shadow. Her distinctive approach is truly unique, in part thanks to a widescreen grasp of different musical cultures, sounds and rhythms, born out of travelling the world with her family from a young age. This nomadic approach is something that Colombi still embraces. After ten years living in London and making her mark in the city’s electronic music underground and a brief relocation to Brussels, the artist is now based in Amsterdam, where she can be found contributing to the vital local scene whilst focusing on her new label, Osàre! Editions. Launched in the summer of 2019, the imprint was inspired by the Italian translation of ‘daring’ or ‘bold’. In keeping with Colombi’s approach to DJing, the label will provide a home for future-facing music shot through with forward-thinking experimentation and abandon, and imbued with a sense of complete freedom, transcending expectations of time or genre. This approach is a neat fit with her musical style, which taps into a wide range of influences and inspirations old and new. Since she began her journey through DJ culture, the Italian artist has prioritised energy and emotion over form and function, paying particular attention to obscure and undiscovered artists. While ‘anything goes’ is undoubtedly her mantra, her dynamic sets are perfectly balanced with the kind of effortless flow that many DJs fail to master with a lifetime of practice. As well as documenting her far-reaching taste via her monthly NTS shows, Elena has contributed outstanding mixes for FACT and Crack Magazine, Beats In Space, Intergalactic FM, Digital Tsunami and Dekmantel, where she also took part in a live discussion with John Talabot on the Art of DJing, a panel that was recorded by Resident Advisor and later broadcast as part of the RA Exchange podcast series. On the festival circuit she’s made appearances at Dekmantel, Club To Club, Nuits Sonores, ADE, Unsound and more, together with an annual residency for the boutique UK festival Field Maneuvers and a quarterly curated night at Belgrade’s Club Drugstore. Her outsider-led approach also gained recognition from the established art world, going back-to-back with homegrown Manchester legend Jon K at the Whitworth Art Gallery (a feat repeated at Atonal in Berlin), as well as bringing her selections to the Tate Modern in London for the Tate Lates series. The different strands of Colombi’s DJ career are almost as diverse and otherworldly as her on-point selections, a reflection of her ability to translate her vast music knowledge and sets to differing environments. Yet it’s in clubs that her celebrated talents hit home hardest.

Inspired by the interwoven legacies of fast music from either side of the Atlantic, her monthly NTS show sees her blend together the best of footwork, jungle and everything in between — with the likes of Mall Grab, Kode9, DJ Taye, Om Unit and Ikonika stopping in for guest spots. The start of 2020 saw FAUZIA start to showcase her own original music for the first time, first with a celebrated production mix for DISCWOMAN, and then with a contribution to the flagship 10th edition in HAUS of ALTR’s various artists series — picking up glowing press from Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Crack, Pitchfork and more in the process. It was with a series of missives released during the pandemic that FAUZIA’s music really started to evolve - from the starry-eyed breaks of ‘Fragments’ through to ‘are you hoping for a miracle?’ and ‘time’, a pair of downtempo pop releases that saw FAUZIA sing on her material for the first time while also collaborating with Kelela and George Riley. Her new live show debuted at Wysing Polyphonic in the Summer of 2021, followed by appearances supporting Loraine James and Space Afrika. December 2021 saw FAUZIA sell out her first headline at Southbank Centre’s Purcell room, accompanied by her band.

  • Flore

̸BIOGRAPHY Boss woman behind POLAAR label, Flore is an essential artist on the french electronic music scene. Pionner in the leftfield bass music field, she has just released a second album RITUALS, acclaimed on BBC radio 1 & 6, Mixmag, Tsugi and Trax Magazine... Propelled by curiosity and meticulosity through the last two decades, Flore built her musical journey guided by risk and a generous creativity.
If her musical and cultural roots go back to jamaican sound systems, breaks and drum and bass, her musical culture and tastes cover a wider territory that ranges from Pink Floyd to Sun O))). This constant interest for new forms and sounds stands behind her path as the live artist she is now, from DJ through producer to being the first woman Ableton certified trainer in France. As a DJ, she brought her explosive sets to numerous european clubs, venues and festivals such as Les Nuits Sonores, Fabric, Fusion Festival. Her Boiler Room set is memorable. Flore is a DJ renowned for the energy of the sets, the rowdiness she brings to the dancefloor and her ability to communicate with the public. Her work capacity and diverse skills led her to collaborate with other artists in various contexts such as with Arandel at La Philarmonie de Paris in 2018 for an exclusive creation for the prestigious institution, working with theater directors and dancers. Crown on top of an already rich collections of gems, she is the boss lady of POLAAR, one of the most exciting musical label of these last years in France. Flore has become a true master at tailoring her sound, often with a sense of anticipation of what was in sight on the electronic music scene : from “Raw “ (2010, Botchit & Scarper) predicting the global bass phenomenon to “Rituals” her second album (2020, POLAAR) cruising on a futuristic and personal interpretation of techno and breaks in all their various forms. Flore keeps the trip real, away from calculation and visibility preoccupation all of which make of her a genuine creative force in the european musical landscape and a sought after live act. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY https://floremusic.bandcamp https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0wkiGHK5NpzIhbQQGlhF6L?si=RUtNNTQ9Sc28gPfi8GHLWA

̸BIOGRAPHY Istanbul Ghetto Club is a music-driven multidisciplinary collective, combining delightful Anatolian, Greek and Mesopotamian tunes with modular synthesizer and performing arts, always with a sense of humor and an erotic touch. One night Kamil was working in a Pavyon in Istanbul. Pavyons are live music bars in which traditional Turkish folk music is played, usually with the bağlama. Men come to Pavyons to swim in different oceans. While Kamil was playing Bağlama, Mahmut came into the bar. With his outward appearance, his lighter skin color, he didn't seem to fit in. Actually Mahmut just wanted to ask for directions, but then, because people started looking at him strangely, he felt offended. He thought to himself, "I live here too, why can't I come to this bar and have fun like everyone else?” Somehow Mahmut and some of the other guests started to discuss. It had started to escalate more and more, and Kamil saw how people had started to push him. So Kamil stopped playing and ran to help him. The crowd was so heated up that they started hitting Kamil and Mahmut. In the end, they threw both of them out of the bar. Kamil's Bağlama was destroyed and Mahmut's nose was broken. To cool down, they went to have some Çorba. At the restaurant, Mahmut told Kamil that he makes electronic music. While eating and talking they planned to start a project together with Bağlama and modular synthesizer: something like a tasty Çorba. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Istanbul Ghetto Club - Hamam Dreaming (Single)

̸BIOGRAPHY Sound artist, live performer, DJ and independent researcher in sonic and media cultures. Mariachiara Troianiello, the Milan-based sound artist behind the moniker Katatonic Silentio, works at the crossroads of electronic music, performing arts and sound studies. Both as a live performer and an independent researcher, she seeks to bridge different spheres and approaches to sonic production. Active as a DJ for more than 15 years, her sets adopt multiple forms, fluctuating between an analogue past and a technological, fast-paced future. At times, her sets focus on pure abstraction, consisting of ethereal soundscapes that seek to transcend the tangible through a mix of musique concrète, world, spoken word, ambient or dub. At others, they come across as concrete and club-oriented, crossing techno, broken beats or drum n bass. Mariachiara views sound as a critical tool and has a genuine interest in exploring sonic possibilities and practices from both artistic and sociological perspectives. As an independent researcher, she is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of USMARADIO: Interdepartmental Research Centre for Radiophonic Studies at the University of San Marino. In her undergraduate thesis in 2015, Mariachiara looked at the different notions of radio and broadcasting between underground and mainstream and the multiple performative possibilities of the medium itself – a topic she currently puts into practice through her project Expanded Radio Research Unit. As of now, she holds radio residencies on EOS and LYL. Mariachiara also collaborates with Anonima/Luci, a light art collective with whom she develops installations that reconfigure architectural spaces by combining light and sound. • Lonnie Holley

̸BIOGRAPHY Lonnie Holley was born on February 10, 1950 in Birmingham, Alabama. From the age of five, Holley worked various jobs: picking up trash at a drive-in movie theatre, washing dishes, and cooking. He lived in a whiskey house, on the state fairgrounds, and in several foster homes. His early life was chaotic and Holley was never afforded the pleasure of a real childhood. Since 1979, Holley has devoted his life to the practice of improvisational creativity. His art and music, born out of struggle, hardship, but perhaps more importantly, out of furious curiosity and biological necessity, has manifested itself in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, performance, and sound. Holley’s sculptures are constructed from found materials in the oldest tradition of African American sculpture. Objects, already imbued with cultural and artistic metaphor, are combined into narrative sculptures that commemorate places, people, and events. His work is now in collections of major museums throughout the country, on permanent display in the United Nations, and been displayed in the White House Rose Garden. In January of 2014, Holley completed a one-month artist-in-residence with the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation in Captiva Island, Florida, site of the acclaimed artist’s studio. Holley did not start making and performing music in a studio nor does his creative process mirror that of the typical musician. His music and lyrics are improvised on the spot and morph and evolve with every event, concert, and recording. In Holley’s original art environment, he would construct and deconstruct his visual works, repurposing their elements for new pieces. This often led to the transfer of individual narratives into the new work creating a cumulative composite image that has depth and purpose beyond its original singular meaning. The layers of sound in Holley’s music, likewise, are the result of decades of evolving experimentation. Holley’s music caught the attention of Matt Arnett, whose father has been collecting Holley’s art since the 1980s. In 2006, Matt organized the first professional recordings of Holley’s music. In 2010, Arnett set up a performance by Holley at his home. One of the people in attendance was Lance Ledbetter, founder and owner of the record label Dust-to-Digital. Deeply moved by Holley’s keyboard playing and singing, Ledbetter signed Holley to his record label. Soon after, Holley found himself in the studio again, and in 2010 and 2011, more studio sessions ensued. The result was the album Just Before Music. More recordings continue to be made to celebrate and to document one of America’s most compelling musicians. In early 2014, Holley recorded again with Richard Swift, acclaimed musician and producer at his studio, National Freedom, in Cottage Grove, Oregon. In addition to the studio sessions, Holley began touring as a musician. In August and September of 2013, Holley toured the West Coast with Deerhunter. That tour was followed by a tour of the East Coast with Bill Callahan, and in November and December of 2013, Holley had his first tour through Western Europe (Spain, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, The Netherlands, England, and France). Holley has been joined on stage or in the studio by a variety of musicians, including members of Deerhunter, Black Lips, The War on Drugs, Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Bon Iver, Julia Holter, Megafaun, as well as Ben Sollee, Steve Gunn, Jenny Hval, Marshall Ruffin, Daniel Lanois, Laraaji, Brian Blade, Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Bill Callahan, Dave Eggar, Laraaji, Kelly Pratt (Beirut/Arcade Fire/The Antlers), Sam Amidon, Aaron Embry (Elliot Smith/Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros) and others. In 2013, Holley’s first records were named to a number of Top Records of the Year lists, including The Washington Post (#4) and The Chicago Sun Times (#2). In 2014, Holley continued to tour, completing another tour of Europe (Belgium, Norway, England, Denmark, the Netherlands, and France) and a USA/Canada tour with Daniel Lanois. Also in 2014, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced that they had acquired three sculptures by the acclaimed artist and musician, through the generosity of the Souls Grown Deep Foundation. Holley played a number of shows in 2015, touring Europe again to audiences in England, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. That tour kicked off with a show at Queen Elizabeth Hall, as part of David Byrne’s Meltdown Festival. In addition to his European tour, Holley played shows at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Hammer Museum in LA, The American Folk Art Museum, St. James Hall in Vancouver, The Charleston Music Hall, among many others, but the majority of the year was not spent performing live. In 2015, Holley recorded music for the film Five Nights in Maine, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and saw theatrical release in the summer of 2016. An exhibition of his visual art opened in the summer of 2015, titled Something To Take My Place: The Art of Lonnie Holley, at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, accompanied by a monograph of the same name. In the winter of 2015/16, Supported By the Power: Lonnie Holley, an exhibition of Holley’s sculptures opened at Duke University’s John Hope Franklin Center. Lonnie Holley continues to make art, record music, and tour occasionally, either alone or with collaborators. The songs and the shows are never the same, as Holley never performs the same song twice. In the summer of 2016, he embarked on a tour throughout the Southeastern United States, this time with a full band of frequent collaborators that included Ben Sollee, Stevie Nistor, Kelly Pratt, and Marshall Ruffin. On the tour, the band visited artists, art sites, and museums, and held workshops for adults and children along the way. In late September, 2016, Holley’s music was sampled on the acclaimed third album (22, A Million) from Bon Iver. That same month, Holley was a featured visual artist at AfroPunk/Atlanta, where his found object sculptures were on display. In November of 2016, Holley embarked on his fourth European tour, playing a number of festivals and music venues, culminating in a sold-out, two-night residency at the acclaimed Café Oto in London. He returned to the States in time for the premiere of the short documentary about Holley, The Man is the Music, at Doc NYC in New York. Holley closed out 2016 with his final show of the year at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, sharing the stage with Bon Iver. 2017 was also a busy year for the artist. In January, an exhibition of his art, Lonnie Holley: I Snuck Off the Slave Ship, opened at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center. In May, an exhibition entitled Thumbs Up for the Mothership (a two-artist show with Dawn DeDeaux) premiered at MASS MoCA, coinciding with the opening of the new Building 6. His work was also featured in two exhibitions at the de Young Museum (The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco) and had two solo exhibitions at James Fuentes Gallery, his New York gallery. Additionally, he made wood block prints with Paulson Fontaine Press, collaborated on three etchings and a zine with artist Chris Johanson, played a number of concerts, spent a lot of time in the recording studio preparing for the release of his third album, due out in the spring of 2018.

  • Loraine James

Loraine James is a producer who uses a minimalist setup and unbound creativity, she utilises IDM glitch aesthetics with an improvisational, jazz-rooted spirit and a unique talent for integrating her diverse influences into cohesive and emotive pieces. Hailing from Enfield, North London, adventurous producer Loraine James is a rising voice in the electronic music community. Taking piano lessons as a child and growing up listening to a wide range of genres has instilled a voracious musical curiosity in her that resonates throughout her productions. While classes at college, and later on Westminster University’s Commercial Music course, facilitated her encounter with the basic tools for digital production, her approach is closer to DIY culture than formal training. Often expressing her love for IDM, her intricate, highly intuitive and emotional tracks, composed used minimal, easily-available setup, and openly queer identity stand in direct opposition with the genre’s traditionally male, white and gear-fetishising intellectualism. James’s music is at once abrasive and vulnerable, a powerful dichotomy used to fuse together the many disparate elements from London’s sound universe which she integrates into her music, moulding grime, R&B, jazz and ambient into novel sonic creations with an instinct for improvisation. In 2017, her self-released debut album Detail caught the ear of many music aficionados, but 2019’s sophomore For You And I LP on Hyperdub would make her a breakthrough star, receiving unanimous acclaim from peers, fans and critics at the likes of Crack, DJ Mag, The Quietus, Mixmag and Pitchfork. On Nothing EP, her second Hyperdub release, she explores new directions with a diverse group of international collaborators including Uruguayan producer Lila Tirando a Violeta, Jonnine Standish of Australian duo HTRK and Iranian-British rapper Tardast. by Andra Nikolayi

Whether it was long car rides with the radio playing in the background or my dad having his annual Friday morning record sesh, blasting his music so all the neighbors could hear, I was constantly surrounded and influenced by music. At a young age I was learning to play a number of instruments such as drums, piano and sax which only made me eager to create more. ̸BIOGRAPHY New album Sen out on 29.09.23 dalmatadaniel.bandcamp.com/album/sen Olivia is one of Unsound’s resident DJs and one of the biggest movers on the Krakow club scene. She’s Dj, producer and who is part of We Are Radar collective, 1/2 Radiation 30376. Few DJs truly have a unique vision: a distinctive approach that draws on a myriad of interconnected styles to create a unified, otherworldly sound of its’ own. Olivia is one such DJ. Initially best known for being one of the key resident DJs at the acclaimed annual Unsound festival that takes place in her home city, Krakow, Olivia has developed a trademark style that couples razor-sharp technical skills with an eclectic but interconnected approach to the raw, weighty and mind-altering music she mixes. Depending on the venue, event and vibe, Olivia might race through angular acid, loose-limbed electro, futuristic Motor City techno, concrete-clad industrial music, surging EBM, twisted Italo, glacial cold wave and metallic new wave. This forward-thinking blend of 1980s-inspired styles and experimental dancefloor workouts has proved popular with peers and punters alike, leading to sets at such leading clubs and festivals as Berghain, De School, Tresor, Golden Pudel, Dekmantel and Nachtdigital. Olivia has also showcased her trademark style via acclaimed mixes for CRACK, The Ransom Note, Dekmantel, Cxema, Digital Tsunami and Inverted Audio, appearances on Boiler Room, and a regular radio show on fast-rising station Noods. The Polish DJ/producer’s achievements are impressive, but no less than she deserves for her hard work and dedication to the underground over the last 16 years. She first rose to prominence as one of the most active DJs on Krakow’s electronic music underground, featuring in a number of collectives and appearing in clubs all over Poland before becoming a leading member of her home city’s We Are Radar party collective. Olivia remains an active member of the Radar collective, which includes a mixture of artists, DJs, events organisers and live performers. She has extensive experience in booking and events too, where the depth of her musical knowledge once more comes to the fore. Today, Olivia has her hands in many projects, collectives and live performance projects. These include Radiation 30376 (a live show with Chino that debuted at Unsound 2019), Morskie Oko (a hybrid live/DJ project with Chino and Steffan Bennemann) and Chrono Bross, a collaborative initiative with Kinzo Chrome. Although she has her hands full as a DJ and live performer, Olivia has devoted increasing amounts of time to music production over the last few years. She released her debut cassette, Skawa – a perfect distillation of her inspirations and influences in five forthright tracks – via K-Hole Trax in 2018, while her music has also featured on compilations from Pointless Geometry and the Wire Magazine. In 2020 she released "Dancing Snake" ep at Pinkman label. On the same label in 2021 she released with Chino "Arka" ep as a Radiation 30376. 2022 was also full of new music out from her with "New Life" ep at Dom Trojga label and split records with Rapha at Dalmata Daniel. She says that new music is on the way; if her DJ sets and previous productions are anything to go by, it will be edgy, uncompromising, unexpected and undeniably unique. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Olivia - Skawa (K-HOLE TRAX) Olivia - Dancing Snake (Pinkman) Olivia - Relief (Various - V/A Vol. 1/ Voyage Select) Radiation 30376 - Git (Various - House Of Troubles/ Syntetyk) Radiation 30376 - Bajkonur (Various - V/A Vol. 1/ Voyage Select) Olivia - Hope (Various - Domownicy Różnoracy Cz.2 ‎/ Dom Trojga) Olivia - Relief (Various - V/A Vol. 1/ Voyage Select) Olivia - Hey (Various - DDC02 : V/A / Dalmata Daniel) Radiation 30376 - Arka (Pinkman) Olivia - New Lige (Dom Trojga) Olivia - Protesters (Various - Compilation for Ukraine/ Dalmata Daniel) Olivia - split ep with Rapha (Dalmata Daniel) Wulkan - Lush Name (Olivia Remix)

̸BIOGRAPHY Every day since 1982 From obtuse angles to intense physicality, Peder Mannerfelt’s highly individual take on techno demands attention and consideration. While his many-sided body of work reaches back more than a decade, the Swedish producer’s current investigations in the field of experimental dance music are as prolific as they are unpredictable. After a series of albums as Roll The Dice alongside Malcolm Pardon, he lent his production skills to Fever Ray’s acclaimed debut album and 2017’s Plunge and is currently busy exploring a new strain of techno-pop together with Pär Grindvik as Aasthma. Working under his own name Mannerfelt’s sonic imprint can be most acutely felt. Accompanying appearances on Voam, Hinge Finger, Numbers and more, he established his own label Peder Mannerfelt Produktions to carry the bulk of his output, and that of kindred spirits such as Klara Lewis, Code Walk and Sissel Wincent. Peder Mannerfelt music is always rooted in the kinetic energy of techno even as it seeks to break down the genre’s rigid, illusory formulae.

Like liquid mercury in a petri dish—slick, supple, and playfully disobedient—Rhyw’s music dazzles as it defies expectation. The Welsh-Greek artist cut his teeth as one half of Cassegrain and has been finding new paths for his mutant sound ever since, releasing on Fever AM, the imprint he set up with Mor Elian in 2017, as well as labels like Avian and Modeselektor’s SSPB. In the studio or behind the decks, he brilliantly fuses different strains of ultra-modern techno and broken beat: eyes-down minimal lights up with modular sass, choppy kicks flirt with rolling grooves, and sharp sound design slices through earthy subs. It’s the kind of amphibious sound that can slip into otherworldly spaces while never truly leaving the dance floor. Rhyw turned heads with the heavyweight two-tracker ‘Biggest Bully’ in 2019, earning himself sets at Berghain, Berlin Atonal, Boiler Room Tokyo and Freerotation amongst others. Online and on-air, he’s guested on Hessle Audio’s Rinse FM show and Mixmag’s ‘In Session’ mix series, and contributed podcasts to Crack and FACT. Even when they leave the gate at full pelt, these sets showcase Rhyw’s subtle sense of intricacy, balancing airy atmospheres against tougher tackle. But whatever the energy level, there’s always an alien presence in Rhyw’s sound—a shapeshifter whose twin motives are to bewitch and disorientate the listener.

The London-born DJ has been busy since that Boiler Room sent her signature brand of low-end energy viral: She’s held down a year-long Radio 1 residency that’s seen her showcase cutting-edge dance music to a mainstream audience as well as host OGs like DJ Spinn, 4Hero, Kode9 and Luke Vibert as well as next gen disruptors like Mantra, L C Y, Yazzus and Fracture; She’s started the Hooversound label alongside partner in club music Naina with releases from Hyroglifics, Sinistarr and Deft; And she’s co-founded the incendiary 6 Figure Gang squad with Fauzia, Jossy Mitsu, Dobby and the aforementioned L C Y and Yazzus. Let the takeover begin.

  • Solid Blake

̸BIOGRAPHY DJ and producer from Glasgow, operating via Berlin. There are DJs who can extend a single vibe over the course of a night – and then there’s “another way of doing things”, hints Solid Blake. You can guess which camp the Glasgow-born DJ falls in. Bringing the frozen pulse of electro together with dissident techno and bass from all eras, Emma Blake’s side-winding DJ sets and slick productions have made her a fixture of the European underground over the last half-decade, but after years away from home – first in her beloved Copenhagen and now in the techno bustle of Berlin – she’s emerging from her lockdown cocoon with a recalibrated approach. Drawing more and more from the sweatbox euphoria of her early rave days, the next phase of Solid Blake looks set to be shot in Technicolor. Solid Blake’s first original material, inspired by the pneumatics of classic electro and late-late-night acid techno, appeared on choice underground labels Seilscheibenpfeiler and Outer Zone, and she was quickly recognised for her production chops, joining the 2018 cohort of Red Bull Music Academy in Berlin and picking up a nomination for Best Breakthrough Producer from DJ Mag. More recently her output has included remixes for Pär Grindvik and Marc Acardipane, contributions to the Club Quarantäne and Herrensauna compilations, and a live-focused collaboration with CPH techno mainstay Ctrls under the banner Historical Repeater. Despite making her name in the techno-heavy zones of Mitteleuropa, over the years she’s felt the Glasgow influence growing stronger, as she’s pulled towards more eclectic selections and high-contrast blends. More risk equals more excitement – something she’s also discovered through her talent for playing back-to-back DJs like Skee Mask, Stenny and old friend Mama Snake. With new releases forthcoming, plus work on a brand new live show, Solid Blake is speeding towards a distinct new era in her life as an artist. The future can only get weirder.

  • Space Afrika

̸BIOGRAPHY Space Afrika With their slow-stepping, spacious urban dubscapes, Space Afrika harness ambient, Detroit techno and shades of early nineties Sheffield with a fresh and open approach to composition — this is dub techno stripped-down, sealed in a time capsule and sent back from the near future. Driving, echo-laden deep beats form the bed for a heavily subaquatic sound palette with undercurrents of cybernetic dread. Friends for almost 2 decades, the two Joshuas formed Space Afrika after years of listening to music together, sequestered by harsh Northern winters. Heavily inspired by the industrial architecture of Northwest England and notions of travel, their sonic framework evokes images of rust and disintegrating concrete, and sensations of movement and redemption — exuding a distorted analogue soul offering escape into their overcast skies. Closely associated with Brighton/London label, Where to Now?, who slink along a vintage axis of post-punk, On-U Sound, minimal and no wave influences, Space Afrika's diverse and creative radio shows (notably their residencies on NTS and Reform Radio) also display a breadth of curiosities in experimental and avant-garde music, old and new.

  • Traxx

̸BIOGRAPHY Truth iz Kode. Traxx is a lover of music — one with a passion so intense that it overcomes genre divides to weave an altogether original, exciting, and multi-textured musical fabric which envelops both the avid clubber and the home listener, as well as everyone in between. Not content to be labeled as merely a DJ, a producer, or even a DJ/Producer, Traxx is a self-described “artist of sound.” A sound that is distinctive and highly emotional which defies classification and invites analysis and discussion. From eclectic and avant-garde tunes to old school jack tracks and far beyond, Traxx hears it all without discrimination, pretension or elitism. Traxx has released music on numerous underground labels in the US and Europe including Gigolo, Relief, Muzique, M/O/S, and Crème. His music has come to the world under a bucket load of alias' including Dirty Criminals, XX Art, Mysterio, ViLLan X, Saturn V(with Tadd Mullinix), X2, and more. He's also collaborated with the heads of underground to shape his unique definition of Jakbeat that's was created amongst JTC and D'Marc Cantu in the early years between 2005- 2007. In addition to releasing music for other imprints Traxx also started his own label Nation in April of 2007 which has allowed him to develop and recontextualize the various aspects of his sound. In 2009 Traxx stepped out into the light with his first full length 'Faith' album under his own name for his Chicago based imprint Nation which received positive response and feedback from around the globe. Like many in Chicago, Traxx was drawn into house music through the legendary WBMX radio shows and two trips to see Ron Hardy at the legendary Music Box. Describing his first experience with house, Traxx recalls "nothing could compare, things were being discovered.. this period stays with me because of the intense energy that was applied - it's a feeling, an emotion, a mental state of transcendental connection -a spiritual force with the higher being through the physical vessel of the body." His first release appeared on DJ Hell's Gigolo label in the early 00's under the collective alias The Dirty Criminals which was a Chicago based collective that featured mainly the work of working with collaborators like Charles Manier, Mystic Bill Torres, Daryl 'Deecoy' Cura, Matt Nee(Kompute), Josh Werner, Stephen Hitchell plus early on work from Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being. In addition to a number of 12"s Dirty Criminals released, two albums were very well received in Europe - 2004's "Organized Confuzion" and 2006's Collision Between Us And The Damned" which featured a cover of an early unreleased version of "Acid Tracks" by Phuture that was played around Chicago. Traxx also contributed vocals to the track "Let No Man Jack" on Hell's "NY Muscle" album on Gigolo but it's perhaps on his many mysterious 12"s that Traxx has set the ground work for in the last seven years where there's been a constant stream of them burning up dance floors with the new sound of Jakbeat that's shaping the scene by releasing an 'Adjustment Production' for Gavin Russom of DFA's LCD Soundsystem from 1 of his current alias projects as Mutant Beat Dance for a sombre tingling cosmic, deep disco brilliance concept, and also releasing with New York label Rong Records with another excellent 2 track release of 'Another World/New News Is Old News' to releasing a stunning solo project on MOS Deep Under The Poetic Painter M pseudonym, with a frenetic yet hypnotizing house track that echoes memories of downpitched Newbeat material and the hooky coldness of new age, following thru with incredible support and feedback in 2012 then again with another solid production from analog machinists Traxx and Wanzer for another Mutant Beat Dance release for the Rush Hour label with 'Let Me Go' featuring Naughty Wood on vocals that have said that they produced arguably 'the best 80s Chicago house record NOT made in the 80s. -inspired by the early days of house music- In an age of digital perfection Traxx is analog, when he DJs he plays vinyl and when he's in the studio he uses hardware. His sound recalls the past but pushes for the future with an overtly emotional and experimental approach. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY -Discography TRAXX under the names of Traxx, XxArt, X2, Saturn V, Mutant Beat Dance, MoMo & The Dirty Criminals: The Dirty Criminals – Are You Saved? Recent standout remixes of Aurora Halal, Volte-Face and Prins Thomas have further demonstrated his considerable talents as a producer. The same mentality is present in his performances, whether DJing or playing live, with his measured control of frequencies and intensities shaping the dancefloor as he explores the more psychedelic dimensions of techno. In this way, Igarashi’s considered approach is one that stimulates the body and mind, generating energy and emotion. ̸BIOGRAPHY Seven years after his viral single “Ima Read,” performer, songwriter and producer Zebra Katz returns to present his debut album, LESS IS MOOR. Seven years after his viral single “Ima Read,” performer, songwriter and producer Zebra Katz returns to present his debut album, LESS IS MOOR. Written and produced between Berlin and London, LESS IS MOOR features guest appearances by Shygirl and S. Ruston, with a myriad of star co-producers such as Sega Bodega, Tony Quattro, and fellow Red Bull Music Academy graduate, Torus. Amidst all this talent, there’s rarely a down moment on the album. Together, these tracks capture sides of Zebra Katz the world has yet to see and reveal his artistic versatility. His multiple inspirations are channelled into a series of high-energy bangers, all of which required years of collaboration to complete, a DIY attitude, and a commitment to a high concept without excess production. Recent singles “IN IN IN” and “LOUSY” are examples of Zebra Katz’ desire to repossess his narrative, exploring issues like the Black experience and sexuality, all the while mixing in devastating ruminations on the life of a star: “they all love when you dead / and you six underground.” LESS IS MOOR will have listeners on their heels, especially in moments that show Zebra Katz’s talent for improvisation and drawing on the moment. The freestyle on “ZAD DRUMZ” came about after an improvised session at Red Bull in Berlin with co-producer Torus. “INTRO” was made at a party loft in Berlin. The gabber-oriented sound reflected the chaotic sounds of the party below. “All I wanna do is keep the dance floor jumping,” sings Zebra Katz on “ISH,” the next single in line for release. “NECKLACE,” a guitar-strummed slow jam, is a rare moment of respite on an otherwise high-energy album. The very next track, “SLEEPN” jumps back in with a bubblegum beat and subversive lyrics: “blackface, war paint / throw a hex on ‘em.” “LICK IT N SPLIT” is the album’s sexy and high-spirited ending featuring Shygirl. Born Ojay Morgan, Zebra Katz, is a first-generation Jamaican-American born in West Palm Beach, Florida. Morgan’s artistic days began early: his senior thesis at the Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School found him premiering “Moor Contradictions,” a precursor to LESS IS MOOR that combined performance art with music at La Mama Theatre in 2007. Skip ahead to 2012, when the music world explodes over Zebra Katz’s sensational hit, “Ima Read.” Picked up by Diplo’s Mad Decent imprint Jeffree's, the track garnered further popularity when it ran for 11 minutes on a Rick Owens runway at Paris Fashion Week. The next five years found Zebra Katz touring nonstop in Europe and the United States, delivering memorable and genre-breaking live performances at venues like the Broad Museum in Los Angeles, the New Museum in New York, the Metropolitan Museum, MoMA PS1, Brooklyn Museum, and Art Basel in Switzerland. It was during this same period that Morgan released the mixtapes Champagne and DRKLNG; two EPS, Winter Titty and Nu Renegade, a collaboration with Leila Arab. Zebra Katz wanted to dive into production for LESS IS MOOR immediately after releasing Nu Renegade, but an exciting new opportunity took him away from the project: from 2017-2018, Zebra Katz joined the Gorillaz on their Humanz tour and was featured on the tracks, “Sex Murder Party,” “The Apprentice,” and “Out of Body,” which also featured Kilo Kish and Imani Vonsha. For years, Zebra Katz has been working as an independent and self-managed artist, thriving despite the lack of backing from a major label or a debut studio album. Now, with greater support behind him, LESS IS MOOR announces a deeper look into the sonic universe of Zebra Katz. The album stays true to the off-the-cuff way that Zebra Katz initially started to make music seven years ago but it finds the musician newly empowered and unafraid of being noise-driven, biting, caustic. Nor is he afraid to draw inspiration from diverse sources like Little Richard, Nina Simone, James Baldwin, and Grace Jones. Sexually charged and abrasive, LESS IS MOOR is a bold, sonic experiment that meshes industrial hip-hop with drum ‘n’ bass and unidentifiable sonic territory. Used as early as the Middle Ages, the word “moor” refers to the black Muslims of Northern Africa. Today it simply means black and is synonymous with “negro.” When Zebra Katz says “I’m that sick sadistic fucking twisted bitch” on “ZAD DRUMZ,” he’s wearing his darkness for all to see. If you listen hard enough, you can almost hear James Baldwin saying, “To be a Negro in this country and to be relatively conscious is to be in a rage almost all the time.” LESS IS MOOR lets you into this rage so you can dance with it.
