Hailing from the coastal town of Chiba, Japan, Changsie has spent the last decade establishing herself as one of the most in-demand and trusted DJs in Tokyo. Her monthly party, Joyride, transforms a small reggae joint in Shinjuku into a genre-defying celebration of underground music. The open-minded, party-focused philosophy that’s central to Joyride was developed alongside her soul mate, Lil Mofo, and is reflected in her own sets, which have been heard on bills alongside DJs as diverse as Nina Kraviz, Theo Parrish, DJ Sotofett, Ciel and Errorsmith. After playing with Will Bankhead a few times, a cassette for The Trilogy Tapes is in the works - watch this space! Changsie’s ears have long been tuned to the boundary free possibilities of contemporary club culture, an appreciation that has already helped her create a stir across Europe, including a memorable closing set in Ohm as part of Berlin Atonal, imprinting a high-energy memory on ravers even when following a selector as distinctive as Batu. Following a youth immersed in hip-hop and R&B, a studied and timeless appreciation of dubstep and UK bass guides each Changsie set, possessing the ability to shift from meditative states to the rhythmic complexity of bleep techno and the ecstasy of acid-flecked house and techno. Having played in Europe, Australia and across Asia in the last year, a series of mixes for Crack and Discwoman have introduced Changsie’s style to an international audience, and have garnered support from her own heroes and peers. Guided by bass and inspired by the energy of her audience, Changsie continues to make her imaginative and truly cross-cultural mark on the landscape of dance music.

DJ Nobu is a DJ from Chiba city in Japan. Every DJ would like to think themselves a real musical connoisseur, but Hunee really is - it’s not him that says so, but pretty much anyone else whenever the man born Hun Choi pops up in conversation. His DJ sets have of course taken him all over the world from Aus to Asia, America to Europe, but they take listeners much further. As likely to draw for a classic house record as he is a disco curveball, a boogie delight or mixing an African bomb into a techno record, each selection he makes is a thing of true passion – you can see it not only in his eyes, but so too in the eyes of those dancing along whether he is making one of his appearances on Boiler Room or holding down a residency on NTS radio.

Jeff Mills, along with Robert Hood, Carl Craig, and Joey Beltram, is one of the biggest American names in techno. Championed for his music's relentless pursuit of hardness and his intense, almost industrial DJ sets (often utilizing three or four turntables or CD decks and a drum machine), Mills is one of the most significant figures in a long line of Detroit-bred talent to earn an international reputation. A founding member of noted Motor City institution Underground Resistance, Mills helped build the artist roster and label ideology (as well as much of its back catalog) with partners "Mad" Mike Banks and Robert "Noise" Hood during the late '80s and early '90s. ~ AllMusic

Born and raised in Amsterdam, Kamma's path to her craft could not have come more naturally. A child to parents who both have DJed professionally for over 25 years, Kamma was brought up on jazz, funk, disco and early house. Her instictive nature and open-mindedness make her a purveyour of a wide range of sounds, going deep beyond her traditional roots. With an effortless contrast of energy and emotions, she journeys dancers into complex rhythms, dreamy waves and new era electronics. Together with Masalo, Kamma is behind the rising Amsterdam party series “Brighter Days”, a festive get together, celebrating dance music culture to the fullest. Here she has graced the decks with masters such as Hunee, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Ge-ology and Kuniyuki Takahashi. With class-act performances at festivals like DGTL and Dimensions, and beautiful trips on the horizon, Kamma is ready to present the colourful depths of her record crate!

The producer and musician behind most releases on "Needs (not wants)" and several full length albums covering territory from Jazzfunk, Ambient, Jazz and lots more now returns to dancefloor oriented material. Lars' live set includes guitars, keys, voi.. As a young child Lars Bartkuhn started out writing his first piece of music with a synthesizer and sequencer, which his parents bought him upon realising their son’s obsession with music. Playing guitar as a teenager Lars fell deeply in love with the music of Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett and John Coltrane but also with countless other styles beyond Jazz such as Soul, Funk, Rock, Alternative, Brazilian Sounds, Classical, Contemporary, Minimal and Dance music. In the mid 90s Lars became fascinated with the deep and soulful side of House music and formed Lamaya Productions and now legendary record label NEEDS (not wants) together with his older brother Marek Bartkuhn and DJ Yannick. NEEDS rapidly became a synonym for soulful high quality music and while labeled a ‘House’ music imprint it was Lars’ input that lead the trio to explore into alternative, and at the time unorthodox, musical influences that allowed for original textures and arrangements to be included into their productions. Countless remix commissions followed and their sound travelled worldwide with works for Francois K, Jazztronik, Ennio Morricone, Atjazz to name a few. Many of Lars Bartkuhn’s productions have been played, charted and loved to death by DJs around the globe. Some tracks even heralded as true dance floor classics creating a solid, international fan base. To date Lars has produced five solo albums all of which demonstrate a never ending creative flow of ideas and artistic diversity, complexity and passion. After some years away from the Dance scene, residing in Brasil, Lars has decided to continue the journey with a couple of fresh releases for Neroli and Utopia Records. With this return to dance floor oriented music Lars will also be touring a new live act that shows Lars brewing those special vibes and rhythms in real time using sequencers, synth’s, guitars and his voice.

Amsterdam born and raised artist Masalo has been making waves, in the Amsterdam scene and beyond, for the past few years. With roots in Japan, his diversified upbringing is strongly translated into his musical output. Masalo’s DJing is proof of this hybridism, unearthing organic music from the past and combining them with new era dance music in a seamless way. This year his tour de force Dekmantel Boiler Room together with Kamma, along a full touring schedule of club and festival appearances has put him in the international spot. Masalo’s production art embodies the same spirit, where hybridism is being a key philosophy in his work. His choice cuts have found their home on the Rush Hour label, the imprint he’s closely connected with. With the recent ‘New Dance’ EP and a remix for New York’s Tom Noble, winning the hearts of many dance aficionados around the globe, a prospect is emerging as brightly as his party’s name. Together with Kamma, he runs the dance party series Brighter Days, a colourful get-together celebrating dance music culture to the fullest. Brighter Days pushes the spirit of friendship and togetherness on the dancefloor, welcoming local talent along tastemakers such as Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Hunee, Kuniyuki, DJ Spinna and many more. Recently Masalo contributed in the creation of Doka Studio together with a dedicated team of local creatives. Located in the Volkshotel building in the east-side of Amsterdam, Doka Studio is a sound bar and dance club focussing on immersive sound experiences. An intimate space with high-end audio equipement where subcultures unite and young talents and established protagonists resonate their soundwaves into the night. Masalo lives and breathes music with a raw and unadulterated approach to good vibes over from Amsterdam to the world.

Just visualise a metropolis blanketed in austere ruin, coloured by an ominous soundtrack with a heart of iron and stone. Such is the harsh dimension introduced by Muto Masashi, a name that’s bobbed along the surface of the Singaporean electronic scene for some time now. After years of cutting his teeth in the local DJ circuit, the Japanese selector has finally released Ishi, his debut EP that translates his imagination and influences into these dystopian musical fantasies.

Palms Trax is a producer and Dj based in Berlin, Germany. His first record was released in October of 2013 on London-based imprint Lobster Theremin. For aspiring DJs and producers, or indeed anyone who appreciates a good story, the genesis of Palms Trax couldn’t have read any dreamier. You know the one; curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Later, stumbling around Berlin, his primitive attempts to emulate the sound of his newfound heroes accidentally land him a bona fide dance floor hit. A gradual but steady stream of EPs courtesy of Dutch dance music powerhouse Dekmantel have allowed his productions to blossom in richer, smoother directions. On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house - euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys - are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion. It’s that same connection with Dekmantel that has encouraged Donaldson to quickly, impressively evolve as a DJ of some distinctive taste and talent. A memorable performance at Dekmantel’s flagship Amsterdam festival in 2015 captured open hearts, lost minds and aching feet. Since then, the sound of Palms Trax has been a fixture on their enormous main stage, drifting seamlessly between vintage house, esoteric disco and the various shades of a bubbling UK underground he has helped define. Occasional back-to-back performances with the likes of Hunee, Young Marco, Antal and Midland, all DJs regularly credited for their breadth of musical knowledge and sheer versatility, speak volumes for Donaldson’s DJing nous, which has lead him on an international trail; from South America to Australia, and from Panorama Bar to Concrete, Contact, De School, and Lux. Donaldson has also-amassed a patient, open-minded following with his cult monthly radio show, the decidedly less-than-culinary ‘Cooking with Palms Trax’, broadcast on Berlin Community Radio since 2015. On each show, Donaldson takes a deep, vinyl-led drive into his adopted history, fostering a level of trust and shared curiosity that has allowed him to helm all-night sets under the ‘Cooking with Palms Trax’ moniker. Into 2018, he’ll be holding down residencies in Boston, Glasgow and Bordeaux, as well as inviting like-minded DJs into his metaphorical kitchen, throughout a series of self-curated evenings into early mornings of music.

San Proper (preferably known as Dr San Proper) is an undeniable staple in the Amsterdam music scene with a legacy built on his unique and unpredictable approach to music and larger than life personality. His tireless dedication to the city and key ties with local institutions such as Trouw, Rush Hour, Dekmantel and Red Light Radio have made him somewhat of an unofficial mascot to the city. San's warm and extravagant character is felt through his wholehearted productions and electrifying DJ sets. The Amsterdam native has a rich history in music stretching back to his days as an axeman in a number of bands in which collectively gained considerable popularity. San has maintained his DIY approach within his musical dna still possessing a high octane, rock n roll attitude whether it be producing or playing records. His first solo productions found a home with the prestigious Rush Hour Records (back in the mid-2000 ’s) and it was there he released an array of EP’s, becoming a key and valued member within the Rush Hour family. The following years would see San release on a number of highly influential labels, perhaps most importantly Dekmantel records where you can regularly find his name included within their many projects. Aside from gaining success with his productions, San Proper became widely recognised as a diverse selector and an artist with an undeniable talent as a showman. His DJ sets show his ability to play soul, funk and hip-hop as comfortably alongside rock, dub, disco, and house. His ear and passion for soul and funk is channeled through his monthly 'Dr San Proper Soul Show' on Red Light Radio, which he hosts in his very own unique fashion. With so many strings to his bow, it's easy to understand why San Proper is such a highly in demand selector that has touched audiences on every major continent performing on the grandest of stages but still always finding time for his underground roots.

Special Request is the new rugged alias for house and techno stalwart Paul Woolford. Inspired by the unruly conventions of UK pirate radio stations, this project captures the raw energy and diversity of the illegal airwaves and uses this as a springboard of inspiration for a series of heavyweight productions that span from murky house through darkside techno to chaotic eye-of-the-storm hardcore/jungle tear-outs. The end results are incendiary.

Co-Founder & Resident DJ at Ice Cream Sundays Hailing from Manila, Toppings (Jake Camacho) is best known for his work as co-founder, resident DJ, and core team member of Singapore-based party collective, Ice Cream Sundays. A lifelong student of music history, his exposure to diverse musical styles and traditions shines through in his eclectic approach to DJing. Rooted in deep, soulful, and psychedelic house infused with jazz, disco, funk, balearic, and afrobeat, each of his sets delivers a tasty blend of percussive grooves, playful experimentation, and—at times—pure, uncut optimism. Equally at home in a beachside booth, an intimate dark room, or playing to large, sweaty crowds, he has plied his trade at clubs and music-focused venues all over the city, including Headquarters, TUFF CLUB, CÉ LA VI, Kilo, Offtrack, Tanjong Beach Club, and Potato Head, to name a few. He has built a reputation for tasteful and versatile selection along the way, so it's no surprise he has been called on to support high-caliber acts like AlunaGeorge, Henrik Schwarz, Chaos In The CBD, Soul Clap, Jasper James, Tornado Wallace, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Floyd Lavine, Lowheads, and Bosq. He has also been invited to play at some of Singapore's largest events, representing the Ice Cream Sundays crew at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, Neon Lights Festival, Garden Beats Festival, and IMI Festival. As a DJ/promoter, Toppings co-founded Ice Cream Sundays in 2016. Over the years, the collective has become a fixture in the local nightlife circuit, throwing some of Singapore's most memorable and sought after pop-up parties.
