YONG YING is a Hong Kong-based techno dj who got on the decks in 2020 and has since obtained a reputation for playing dark, heavy and fast-paced hypnotic sound that liberates the mind. Sunsiaré, birthed Jean-François Amadei, is no new face to the East-Asia scene. A figure whose tastes have manifested themselves by way of the Hanoi based Savage Club - whose early days saw a slew of talent pass through the Vietnamese capital and prompted a resurgence of local electronic artists. JF is a natural-born record digger, whose knowledge of what makes a dance floor move goes beyond the last decade and whose diverse collection begs for sonic exploration. Playing alongside such artists as Berghain’s Roi Perez, Boris & Barker, as well as DJ heavyweights like Gonno and Cormac, Amadei is not unfamiliar to the art of the mix. Hugo first discovered underground house and techno when he worked as an event photographer in 2010. The bold and mesmerizing tunes he heard at legendary venues Yumla and Bassment piqued his interest in the art of DJing. With his photography on hiatus since 2017, Hugo now plays consistent, well-curated sets to diverse audiences. Hugo's taste in 4/4 dance music can best be described as “very deep”, but he also enjoys experimenting with hip hop and indie rock – the two genres he grew up with - when the moment is right. Paàl known as one of the founders of the label Voitax - is an artist that devotes all of his passion for the sounds that he creates and the music that he supports. His label has amassed a steady repertoire of output from artists such as Makaton, Mondkopf, Cressida, Rory St John and Swarm Intelligence - some of which have become core components of the label. The focus in Paàl’s creations heavily lies on the quality of his sound and the art piece itself as an outcome of his unexpected jam session. Growing up in New York, Stephen began his relationship with music playing ten years of jazz and classical trumpet, while enjoying a love for hip-hop on the side. After four years studying in Montreal discovering electronic and house music, Stephen made a move to Hong Kong. At home he started messing around with vinyl, and soon joined Cliché Records under the name Sweet Talk. Moving across many styles from house to ambient to disco to techno, Stephen brings his full energy every time to make the people boogie.

Raised in Paris Anyss is starting to make his mark in the Hong Kong underground music scene. The first single "EP 1" by "Shanshui" issue, which is two tentative works, music is by the experimental psychedelic, rhythm and noise mixed. Most of the original sounds are not much modified, like atmospheric pressure-like pressure, ambitious ultrasound experiments. Kova O' Sarin has been in the music scene for more than 6 years. Back in university Kova O' Sarin used to organize parties with his friends. Since then he has started djing and even when his friends went back to their home countries and left him behind, he hasn't given up on what he really loves til this day. Kova O’ Sarin splashes the floor with a very detailed minimal house and techno and some other emotional melodic selection as well. He has joined many events such as Wonderfruit Festival, Tempo Live and OD – The Prodigy. Moreover, he played at many local clubs; such as Glow, Grease, and Dark Bar.

Known for his vigorous techno sets, Marco’s DJ repertoire also includes house, minimal, and electro. Besides, he produces with modular synthesizers and plays modular live sets. As a co-founder of the established collective, Utopia Hong Kong, Marco and his teammates have successfully nurtured the city’s ever-evolving electronic music scene through an array of parties in Hong Kong and across Asia. Orphx has been creating their unique fusion of rhythm and noise since the 1990s, combining elements of techno with the experimental techniques and critical spirit of industrial music. One of the most highly respected acts in both techno and industrial circles, Orphx (Rich Oddie and Christina Sealey) has been refining their signature fusion of hypnotic rhythms and experimental noise for many years. Phase Fatale is the Berlin-based techno project of Hayden Payne, with residencies at Berghain and Khidi. Emerging as Phase Fatale in 2014, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label owner, Hayden Payne is rewriting the discourse of Techno with his cross-pollination of gnarly basslines, sensual narratives, and mind-control mechanics. Demonstrating his vision through an authentic, highly curated sonic lens of techno, Payne’s rhythmic excursions draw on both his roots in the New York and Berlin underground as well as his reputable experience performing to dancefloors globally. SAM Futura spent the last decade shaping the sounds and scenes of South East Asia. Born in France, Sam moved to Hong Kong in 2014 where he helped build the community from the ground up through his collective and booking agency Cliché Records. Along with three friends, Sam diversified and expanded HK’s underground, bringing fresh sounds to the city and the region. In 2018 Sam moved to Hanoi, Vietnam, where he opened the legendary nightclub Savage and handled the artistic direction. The venue didn’t just shape the sound of Hanoi’s underground but acted as a playground for Sam to explore his sonic edges and an outlet for this discrete artist to experiment in intimate settings. Sam’s endlessly inspired by the artists he’s crossed paths with, his experiences playing alongside Roman Flügel, Gonno and nd_baumecker had a major impact on him and continue to inspire him today. Sam FUTURA’s played many powerhouse venues in the region - Zhao Dai in Beijing, Pawnshop in Taipei, The Observatory in Saigon as well as local festivals Equation, Karma Konkrete, and Sónar Hong Kong. Samuel Kerridge, with his signature sonic arsenal, stands alone in the worlds of rhythm and noise. A singular artist, his music is to be appreciated on its own terms. British producer Samuel Kerridge has been carefully turning techno inside-out for over a decade. Taking a distinctly post-punk approach to the genre, he's become an integral part of Regis's legendary imprint Downwards alongside artists like British Murder Boys, Justin Broadrick and Veronica Vasicka. Kerridge has helped to define the label's contemporary sound: broken techno and snarling punk informed by industrial music and metal. He's released seven EPs and five albums (including a collaboration with Dva Damas's Taylor Burch) and his latest, Kick To Kill, has become something of a statement of intent, blossoming into a new label and event series with a focus that broadens beyond techno tracks into full-blown songwriting. Aside from his solo work, he collaborates with Oake in what he describes as the "power metal techno" duo UF and started his own guitar band, Death Disco, with Maxim "Panda" Barron. He ran the Berlin-based Contort label and party series and curated the legendary Berlin Atonal festival for three years, underlining his credentials as a stalwart figure in the world of experimental, boundary-pushing techno. He's also an accomplished live performer, most recently developing a hybrid live-DJ set that dismantles hundreds of tracks into a sampler to make new music in real time. It's an inventive process that places him in the lineage of groundbreaking techno acts like Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills, while still carrying the flag for the darkest corners of underground electronic music.

Paris-raised with roots in Taiwan, Eric is a musician, DJ and audio engineer. With percussion laced with frenetic rhythms, noises and dark sounds affected by intoxicating frequencies, his music is distinct. His sets regroup a wide range of techno styles: heavy and deep atmospheres, broken beats, industrial machinations and fat bass movements are his signature textures. Whether delivered through his productions or DJ sets, his approach is always aimed at providing not only music for moving a dance floor, but in parallel an experience of new sounds on the edges of techno and its possibilities.

 After many live and DJ sets, he became resident of Constant Value Seoul and Myst Paris, a party collective infamous for throwing some of the best techno raves in the dark peripheries of the city. Sinus O has appeared on the lineups of venues and clubs all over Europe and Asia including Tresor (Berlin), Contact (Tokyo), La Machine (Paris)…

TAKU HIRAYAMA (Junktion) Taku Hirayama, or simply known as Taku, is a Japanese DJ based in Asia. Exploring DJing at the turn of this century, Taku cultivated a wide range of music selection with many chances of musical meeting across the globe in past years. Leaving the shores of southern Japan, Taku relocated himself from Fukuoka to Hong Kong over a decade ago. There he launched his own platform "Junktion”. A venture for inviting credible names in the industry and like-minded artists, also exposing hidden talents to global audience.

The duo creates a deeply immersive atmosphere, and is abundantly vigorous to keep dancers on their toes and moving from the night’s darkest corners to the dawn of day. Years of Denial is the project of French musician Jerome Tcherneyan, in former times drummer of cult British band Piano Magic and music producer since 1997, and Czech performance & music artist, songwriter, and poet Barkosina Hanusova. Active since 2016, the duo has become known across the globe for their well-crafted sharp productions and electrifying live performances. Utilizing hardware and a plethora of dub devices combined with Barkosina’s unmistakable vocals, the pair revisit the dark corners of post-punk, goth, new beat, EBM, industrial, and rave culture. Their live shows inject rhythmic beats and pulsating arpeggios with heavy electronics fused with a spacey psychedelic sonic treatment. The duo operates on the dance floor with a powerful performative representation creating an excursive, unforgettable experience. Well known for their fruitful discography, much of which is created inside the infamous Ark of Noise studios, the project's prolific output includes a variety of releases on Death & Leisure, Pinkman, and Khemia, to name a few, not to mention the front-runner 2xLP Suicide Disco (Veyl 2019), an extraordinary offering that set fire to dance floors everywhere and is also the name the duo coined to describe their sound. The release spawned a massive remix EP featuring reworks from Silent Servant, Orphx, Broken English Club and Alexey Volkov. In 2023 YOD will release Suicide Disco II (Veyl), a triumphant return, elevating their distinct sound and delivering 12 all-new tracks, which will also return them to the live stage to continue to captivate and further build on the project’s form and legacy. Resident at 宀 Club, Hong Kong 4 am on a Saturday at a packed sweaty club in Sheung Wan, body to body dancing to a range of sounds from Boy Harsher to an unreleased remix of Madonna’s “Bedtime Story” to Islamic chants over a marching techno beat. Just one night before, in the very same district, police were firing rounds and rounds of tear gas to freedom-fighting protesters. That pretty much sums up what Youry does now: DJing from his heart; taking risks and making history despite chaos and negativity. Youry was born in the late eighties in Antwerp in the background of the nascent EBM / Big Beat scene in Belgium. His father was a musician and Jazz producer turned entrepreneur, while his Chinese Cambodian mother gave him an Asian sensitivity. But he really caught his dance music bug when he saw Akufen playing at Montreal’s Stereo in the early noughties. Since then Youry has become a vinyl addict, building up a meticulously categorised collection. His DJing career took off in 2015, setting foot at various clubs and festivals in Hong Kong such as Shi Fu Miz, Sonar, and Acadana. Since 2018 he has become a resident DJ at 宀 club, widely regarded as the first venue in Hong Kong to be on par with the best clubs in the global dance scene. It is here that he earned the freedom to build up all-night-long eclectic sets. As the local situation gets more volatile, a party where people can feel free becomes more relevant than ever. The stakes are high, but Youry is determined.
