A vital artist in the Hong Kong underground circuit, Simtub plays DeepTech/Melodic Techno and various micro genres of House and Trance music. His sets are known to be evocative and energetic, backed by his understanding of what galvanizes the dance floor.
Simtub grew up during the intersection of the hacienda movement in Northern England amidst the rise of UK underground rave culture and when superclubs such as Miss Moneypenny's, Turnmills, Cream and Fabrics dominated the landscape. This period in time heavily influenced his musical style and his sets continue to paint a unique narration of classic influences.
Simtub is also the co-founder of After Dark Sessions, an event night originally conceived to promote melodically driven underground music to the less exposed cities around Asia.
“Humans have an intrinsic need to connect, and music has this ability to create instant connections among people. I love to use my music to move crowds, to forge that sense of unspoken communion".
