Born in 1981, Boris Brejcha started his musical education in his childhood. His first two releases in 2006, “Monster” and “Yellow Kitchen” were released on the Berlin label Autist Records. A few EPs later, Boris moved from Autist Records to Harthouse. With tracks like “Die Maschinen Sind Gestrandet” and “Lost Memory”, he combined his unique sound with a maximum of varieties. Consequently, he became the “exceptional Talent 2007” in the electronic music magazine Raveline. Boris also created his second alias called “ANNA” in 2007 and had some groundbreaking releases on Autist Records. After four years of touring, three albums and lots of singles, Boris became a constant favorite in today's club scene. Glasgow-based DJ/producer Hector Barbour (aka Denis Sulta) creates vivacious, melodic house with underground sensibilities. He has a rare ability to work his way into peoples’ minds in both contemporary and classical settings, conjuring real mood and atmosphere. Never one to pay heed to the zeitgeist, he prefers to deal in hypnotic soundscapes that really take you on a trip. Enigmatic as he is, and laidback as he seems, as an artist he is constantly unveiling new work. Displaying a large variation in terms of sound and method across many new releases each year — some of which come on his co-owned label Spazio Disponibile — he also puts out installations for public spaces and museums, uses obscure musical instruments, collaborates with likeminded producers, classical singers or visual artists. The Russian-born Tel Aviv native Marina Rubinstein (the honorific is strictly cosmetic) moved to Berlin in 2012, shortly after beginning to spin, and swiftly became one of the sharpest party d.j.s anywhere. A Dr. Rubinstein set is easy to recognize—it’s both stark and raucous, festooned with vintage-Roland TB-303 acid synth lines and an unforced bonhomie that’s rare in techno. Enrico Sangiuliano is a name you will have noted if you have been anywhere in the electronic music scene for the last few years. FJAAK, the Berlin-based duo of hardware heads, have been constantly making a name for themselves over the last half a decade. Having grown up together in Spandau on the outskirts of Berlin, Felix Wagner and Aaron Röbig began quite early to create all different kinds of music before ending up taking on the city’s heritage – techno – to make it their own.

New York-born DJ and Lot Radio resident Gabrielle Kwarteng is on a steady, slow-burning rise upward. Her guest shows won her a Mixcloud Online Radio Award and a regular slot, which garnered her a loyal following and led to bookings across NY and beyond. Gabrielle Kwarteng’s journey so far is one of passion, dedication and the occasional strike of fate. Born and raised in New York, Kwarteng’s name has recently risen in prominence throughout a challenging time for dance music and club culture. A DJ, radio host and curator, her sets have recently enchanted Panorama Bar in Berlin (four times in less than twelve months, no less), equally vital club spaces such as NYC’s Nowadays and Manchester’s own White Hotel, as well as a span of festivals including Love International, Glastonbury, Melt and Dekmantel Selectors. Listening to Kwarteng, whether in a cavernous rave hall, a sweat-soaked underground club or making intimate selections on the radio, is an experience that feels at once familiar but always energizing. Kwarteng’s diverse taste and open-mindedness lead first, allowing her to fluidly slip through a mix of heady 80s and 90s NY house, disco interpretations that traverse diaspora and eras, percussive passages alongside boldly broken beats and, as the lights get lower, an undeniable acid undercurrent. In an era of everything at once, Kwarteng weaves stories for the dancefloor that often look to the past, but always focus on possible futures. Kwarteng arrived at this position via a mixture of study and circumstance. Born in Brooklyn to Ghanaian parents but raised in the Bronx, her childhood was soundtracked by a mix of first-wave Highlife, Afrobeat and disco. Outside her front door, in a thriving neighborhood of diverse American experiences, entire sounds and scenes expanded and exploded as pop-culture began to mutate in new ways, both online and off. Crossing to Manhattan for school, the tempo changed entirely as rock, hip hop and experimental music filled Kwarteng’s ears while she studied intensely. Her academic focus was paramount, but Kwarteng couldn’t help but drift back towards the beat. First, from sciences to arts, where, at an esteemed upstate New York university, her dedication to trawling music blogs rendered Kwarteng the de facto DJ for house parties. She also began broadcasting on college radio; her daybreak show was a particular hit with professors arriving to work early to mark before lectures. Bouncing back to New York, Kwarteng continued to present a show on the burgeoning online radio station The Lot. In 2017, she was presented with the Mixcloud Online Radio Award for Best Eclectic Show, an early and completely unexpected acknowledgement of an instinct for music that traversed genre expectations. In parallel, Kwarteng played each and every Saturday night in the majestic ballroom of the SoHo Grand, amassing vinyl for a residency that helped define the uptown musical scene with her own downtown sensibilities. Now based in Europe, Kwarteng continues to criss-cross not only genres, but continents. Overcoming her inherent introversion to nervously approach Giles Peterson at a record store in Paris proved fortuitous; so impressed was the storied DJ by Kwarteng’s show on local station Le Mellotron, he invited her to appear at his own festival, Worldwide. Appearances at suitably open-minded spaces in Madrid, London, Bristol, Copenhagen and Kyiv soon followed. Wherever she performs, Kwarteng’s expertise serves to not only continue the championing of Black American genres such as house, techno and disco, but equally, to explore the continuum of global dance music as a whole. Having laid the foundations for a unique musical journey, it’s a level of respect that’s tangible on any dancefloor. Grace Dahl is a Techno DJ and producer from Amsterdam with a mixed heritage of Finnish and Hungarian descent. The Vault Sessions resident plays a refined selection of styles, with a focus on hypnotic yet powerful Techno that showcases dominant percussion and draws inspiration from both old school and hard groove influences. Her deep-rooted love and passion for music can be traced back to her parents, who organised electronic music events in Budapest during the 90s. Influenced by her parents' musically driven upbringing, she ambitiously embarked on her career when she was a mere 18 years young. Fast forward to present day, Grace is currently at the forefront of the thriving scene in The Netherlands and is swiftly accelerating within international circuit. She has been showcasing her craft at various renowned events around Europe with a jam packed 2023 schedule, playing at the likes of Awakenings, Vault Sessions, FUSE, Sziget Festival, RSO, Rotterdam Rave, Soenda Festival, Intercell and By the Creek, among others. It didn’t take her long to take the next step within her career as she head towards her journey into production four years ago, which rapidly led to her track “Vermilion Empire” being released on Amelie Lens’ label, EXHALE in 2020 and her latest tracks being released on Voxnox, Deestricted, IMF and ANTIDOTE. With many more impressive shows and productions on the horizon, combined with her undeniable drive and focus, Grace is well on her way to making her vision become reality.

As DJ, producer and label head his take on techno resonates by combining the contemporary with hand-picked tracks from the history of rave culture. Héctor Oaks has been behind the turntables for almost half of his life. Gaining his first credits in Madrid's underground, it was when he relocated to Berlin, that his DJing really took off. Not long after his move to the German capital, the trained sound engineer released his first vinyl releases on KEY VINYL. This kick-start into the fertile soils of Berlin’s underground lay the foundation of a career, that has taken off internationally in the past years. It’s the dancefloors that taught this DJ his outstanding empathy and intuition for the sounds, that make a crowd vibrate. Constant practice and the dedication to music shaped his style. Known for his stamina and mixing skills, it is his selection that truly stands out. What seems eclectic on the first sight, is a well-curated mix of vinyl gems. Venezuelan born Berlin based Hyperaktivist it's been shaking the scene in and outside Berlin with her characteristic energetic sets, oscillating between faster Techno and House with big influence in the 90's and old school tracks. She started working for the development of club culture in her native Venezuela since an early age. There, she co-founded SOLO, the first club dedicated exclusively to electronic music in her hometown. Now she continues that labor in Berlin with not one but two vital community-focused club nights. Her first called Mess, Mindful Electronic Sonic Selections, a forward thinking club night happening at OHM which have a focus on femme and queer artist from diverse cultural backgrounds, and it's dedicated to the celebration of diversity and supporting DIY club culture around the world. Her newest Mala Junta, which she co-founded along with Dj Tool and that counts with D.dan, Yazzus and Why Be as residents, is considered one of Berlin’s fiercest underground queer-techno parties, with a focus on inclusivity, Mala Junta approaches the faster, groovier edges of dance music with an open mind and a relentless spirit. 27-year-old Ida Engberg started DJing hip hop and soul aged 14 after a boyfriend showed her how to mix, but she says “I had absolutely no plans on becoming a DJ, I just saw it as a new way to listen to and interact with music and I loved it!” But fate had other plans – while at a friend’s bar aged 18 his regular DJ called in sick. Ida talked her way onto the decks on the proviso that if it wasn’t working after half an hour she’d get off again – by the time she’d finished playing she’d secured her first weekly residence. “I was probably a terrible DJ” she says modestly, “but he loved the music so he booked me every Friday. At this time I was playing lounge music, ambient and soulful house.”,Ida honed her mixing skills and bagged her second residency through more fortuitous timing – working as a host at a big nightclub, Spy Bar, she stepped in for the errant resident DJ who’d had a skinful and promptly disappeared, leaving the dancefloor in silence. The owner immediately changed her job description to DJ, and put her in the main room, kicking off her DJ career proper. “I guess it was there it really started” says Ida. “I was playing house, tribal and electro and I really loved every second of it! I kept my residency there for two and a half years until I decided I wanted to spread my wings a bit.”,A move to Marbella brought 8 months of club gigs, followed by a season in Ibiza which inspired Ida musically like no other place. “I had fallen deeply in love with the minimal techno sound so it was perfect at the time. In Ibiza I met so many people who shared the same dream- To be working with music.” “I was playing in bars and smaller clubs and in afterhour parties. Everywhere I went it was people with the same passion for music as I had.” At the end of the season, Ida returned to Stockholm landing a top residency at Cocktail Club, the best underground club in Stockholm. “My first gig was a warm up for Eric Prydz and after that I did warm ups for everyone from Damian Lazarus, Mandy, Anja Schneider and Jennifer Cardini to Roger Sanchez and Steve Angello. “Stockholm is a great platform for electronic music. There are so many great producers and DJs living here and people really support each other.”,Although DJing is her first love, it was only a matter of time before Ida tried her hand at production. Her first effort was the massive Disco Volante – signed by John Dahlbäck to his Pickadoll label and released in 2007 with a Sebastien Leger remix it became a huge hit all over the world, featuring on compilations from Ministry of Sound, Defected in the House and Pacha Ibiza. It charted across the whole of Europe, doing especially well in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Two more tracks have followed on Get Physical and Pickadoll plus a remix for Dada Life, and Ida signed with the Plantage13 agency for international gigs. She can be found playing her brand of minimal, techno and tech house in clubs all over the world every weekend, and her love of what she does is obvious to all. Playing unplanned sets allows her to respond to the crowd, and she’s rocked parties and clubs like Miami’s Sunday School for Degenerates, Yes at Watergate in Berlin, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Melkweg in Amsterdam, Catwalk in Rotterdam and Op Art in Portugal to name a few. His left­field mix­es take the lis­ten­er on a white-knuck­le ride of twists and turns, with no genre, tem­po, or mood off-lim­its. The Ams­ter­dam-based artist made his ascen­sion with some of Rot­ter­dam’s finest imprints, all the while fill­ing dance floors across the coun­try and through­out Europe. His style fus­es raw aes­thet­ics with unri­valed, relent­less ener­gy which he trans­lates into his pro­duc­tions as flu­id­ly as his DJ sets. With a trade­mark sound that drifts between the exper­i­men­tal sides of tech­no, elec­tro, acid, dub, and jun­gle, it was not long before his music gained the atten­tion of Rot­ter­dam-based labels. John Talabot occupies a fairly unique position in the current electronic landscape. A space he has carved himself by staying true to an artistic vision that is broad in its scope and specific in its convictions. His open-minded approach to making, collecting and playing music allows him to be just as comfortable on the main stage of a great summer festival as in a small local club, earning the following of both the occasional fan and the demanding connoisseur along the way.

Capriati began DJing as a preteen, eventually attending raves and developing a passion for techno that would guide his career. He began producing tracks of his own, and in 2007 he had 12"s out on local labels such as Analytic Trail and Globox. Collaborative EPs with Rino Cerrone, Markantonio, and Uto Karem followed, and by 2009 he began releasing material on Adam Beyer's Drumcode label, as well as Chris Liebing's CLR. Italian native Joseph Capriati is praised for his marathon DJ sets, as well as his sharply produced techno and house tracks. Since launching his career in 2007, he has performed at countless festivals and clubs throughout the world, and released dozens of records for labels like Drumcode and CLR. While his singles tend to be functional tech-house and minimal techno tracks, his albums demonstrate his versatility, from the downtempo and drum'n'bass cuts on 2010's Save My Soul to selections on 2020's Metamorfosi that draw from garage house and Goa trance. ~ AllMusic

Kate NV is... ...the multifaceted solo persona of Moscow-based artist Kate Shilonosova. A changeling that follows afflatus in all its forms, NV is a student of architecture, illustrates curious, colorful characters, and improvises live with bells and water glasses amidst compact synthesizers and cables. Her debut Pink Jungle EP was followed by the frenetic pop-leaning Binasu released by Orange Milk in 2016 and the minimalist exploration of для FOR released by RVNG in 2018. As her musical pendulum swings back from playful instrumental to surreal song, NV is paired with RVNG for the second time on Room for the Moon. NV describes the songs of Moon, as dear friends; each piece of music is a moody cinematic moment where NV performs with a cast of off-kilter objects. Influenced by Japanese 80s pop and Russian conceptualism, Victor Pivovarov comes through when NV describes composing music. Lena Willikens doesn’t play the hits. When she’s behind the decks, even her biggest fans often have no idea exactly what she’s playing, and that’s part of the magic. Like all DJs, Willikens of course has a passion for records and is always on the hunt for elusive bits of music, but as an artist, her work doesn’t hinge on any one track or even a handful of tracks. She’s after something bigger, something that’s truly transportive for those on the dancefloor, and the tracks she plays – whether they’re bizarre slices of synth exploration, some ominously churning proto-industrial stomp, or something else that simply defies classification – are all parts of a larger, more psychically satisfying whole. These days, however, Willikens' radio adventures happen on NTS, where she pilots the monthly Lightning Conductor program. Now based in Amsterdam, her curatory prowess prompted an invite from Dekmantel to put together the fifth installment of their acclaimed Selectors compilation series, and she also contributed a track to the label’s run of all-star 10th anniversary EPs. As a remixer, she's been tapped in recent years to rework the likes of Lena Platonos, rRoxymore, S U R V I V E, Simian Mobile Disco, and Ana Helder, amongst others. And amidst all this activity, she's also been busy with Phantom Kino Ballett, a collaboration with artist Sarah Szczesny that lands somewhere between immersive audio-visual experience and performance art, allowing Willikens to indulge her transportive impulses in a completely new way. Based in Düsseldorf, Germany, Loco Dice is a house DJ/producer with minimal leanings who is affiliated with labels including Four:Twenty Recordings, Ovum Recordings, Cocoon Recordings, M_nus, and Cadenza, as well as the label he founded with production partner Martin Buttrich, Desolat. Born Yassine Ben Achour in Tunisia, he began his career in the early '90s as a rap MC/DJ named Dice'C. As such, he experienced some modest success in his German homeland, for instance releasing the 12" EP Coming from D-Town (1996) on Flavour Records and opening for big-name rap/R&B performers such as Snoop Dogg and Usher. In time he switched from rap to house music and changed his name to Loco Dice in the process. He in turn secured a residency at the Düsseldorf club Tribehouse, where he met superstar producer/DJ Timo Maas, who signed him to his Four:Twenty Recordings label. ~ AllMusic

Hailing from Montreal, Maara has made her mark on the dance music scene since her 2021 breakout EP 'Ultimate Reward' on NAFF recordings. Maara has continued to build a name for herself, releasing her subsequent EP on Sonido Isla 'Potion Activated', which features 'The Forbidden Plum', nominated for Best Song of 2021 by Resident Advisor. Her most recent release on Radiant Love 'Goddess Within' celebrates queerness with its hot, euphoric energy. In addition to her solo releases, Maara has contributed to various international compilations and continues to bless the scene by bringing a playful atmosphere to dance floor bangers. Spain-based producer Eric Estornel initially reserved the name Maceo Plex for his festival-friendly house productions before gradually taking the project into a darker, more introspective direction. After establishing himself in the techno world for his work as Maetrik beginning in the early 2000s, and exploring more abstract electro and IDM as Mariel Ito around the middle of the decade, he began releasing some of his most accessible tracks under the Maceo Plex handle starting in 2009. Over the course of the following decade, the project evolved from deep, sexy house with prominent Chicago and Detroit influences (such as on debut full-length Life Index) to a significantly more dramatic sound (particularly the ambitious Solar). In addition to releasing singles and full-lengths on well-regarded labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Kompakt, and Minus, Maceo Plex has mixed volumes of the DJ-Kicks and Fabric series. ~ AllMusic

Mama Snake first garnered attention as a DJ as part of Copenhagen's now-disbanded Apeiron Crew. She entered the techno scene with a fully formed sound: rattlesnake beats and emotional synths tied together by imperceptible mixing. Her watertight online mixes quickly earned her a following, and she's now busy balancing her life as a touring techno DJ with her job as a recently qualified surgeon.

DJ and producer Marcel Dettmann is recognised as one of the most influential proponents of contemporary techno. Widely associated with iconic trademarks including Berlin, Berghain and Hard Wax, Dettmann stays true to his roots by consistently innovating his interpretation of electronic music, integrating art with the scene. Raised in the former GDR, in a small town near Berlin, Dettmann had already begun to develop his passion for electronic music in his youth. Bands like Depeche Mode, The Cure and Front 242, as well as post-punk and industrial, count as his earliest influences, long before he discovered his affinity for techno. His hometown lacked a record store specialising in electronic music, so between 1995 and 1998 Dettmann began selling vinyl from his own home. He purchased records from various distributers, Hard Wax amongst others, both to resell to his friends and to cement the foundation for his own considerable collection. Like many of his friends, the mid-nineties saw Dettmann frequenting Berlin’s nightlife. This included club institutions E-Werk and Tresor where the resident DJs of that time aroused his passion for the Chicago and Detroit influenced sound. In 1999, after many (including self-organised) parties, his turning point came; Dettmann began to work as a resident DJ at Ostgut, Berghain’s predecessor. Shortly thereafter upon receiving a job offer from Hard Wax, he finally moved to Berlin. His apprenticeship as a vinyl buyer and seller as well as DJ, granted him an extensive depth of musical knowledge and intuition. Dettmann quests tirelessly for new ways and inspiration to further develop his own concept of electronic music. His label MDR (Marcel Dettmann Records) serves as a platform upon which to shape his musical vision, and through its releases, to launch new talent onto the techno scene. As a curator and producer, Dettmann fosters the call to create in a way which is equally timeless and innovative. His own releases comprise two albums on Ostgut Ton, numerous singles and remixes for artists of various genres – Junior Boys, Fever Ray, Moderat, Commix, Clark and Laibach to name a few. Furthermore, he has produced compilation albums for London’s fabric club, Berlin’s Berghain, the Belgian techno label Music Man and one issue of the DJ Kicks compilation series on !K7 imprint. Outside of the club context, Marcel Dettmann has established himself as a multi-faceted artist. He designed the sound concept for „New Works“, an exhibition of photographer Frederike von Rauch, contributed to the contemporary dance project „Masse“ – together with Frank Wiedemann and choreographer Nadja Saidakowa in cooperation with Berghain and the Berlin State Ballet. His single “Seduction feat. Emika” provided the soundtrack to director and screenwriter Parker Ellerman’s short film of the same name. As a passionate DJ and one of the faces of Berghain, Dettmann seeks to inspire his listeners with sounds both reduced and rough, balanced by emotional and surprising moments throughout his sets. Between pure techno, banging Chicago, tracks old and new of the past twenty-five years, Marcel Dettmann communicates his message with an apparent effortlessness.

His cinematic techno sounds are unusually organic: they build pressure in subtle ways and his meticulous grooves never fail to take listeners on a trip to somewhere new and exciting. After several hits on Afterlife Recordings, Mathame sees having a very song craze in the electronic music industry, In march 2020, Mathame released their very first single ‘Never Give Up’ via B1 Recordings/Sony which was awarded ‘The Essential New Tune’ accolade by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong,

Mika Oki is a visual artist, Dj and producer born in Paris. With a background in sculpture and electro-acoustic music, she explore the notion of intangible spaces and emotional landscapes through AV installations, music and mixes. Like a sculptor who knows that the slightest miscalculated move of a chisel could damage the totality of an artwork, Mika Oki’s selections elude great mastery and undeniable preparation. Doing wonders in her many radio shows, it’s difficult to realise her taste in rumbles and undeniable love for sounds from across the Channel (drum and bass, UK garage, 2-step, grime…) before seeing her on the dancefloor. Never hesitating to alternate a 90s dance anthem with an obscure juke track, she also manages to gather seemingly disparate and conflicting elements together, creating an incredible coherence. Percussive but generous, erudite yet uninhibited, she pieces together unique mixes that never cease to surprise. Eternal dreamer, she uses abstract sound textures and kinetic images to generate mind trips, body journeys through music performances and immersive installations. She also developed an interest in Djing in clubs and radio shows where she translate her atmospherical experimentations, blurring The boundaries between techno, dub and ambient/narrative sounds. This year, she played in European audiovisual festivals like TodaysArt, SONICA, CYNETART and in Uganda for the last Nyege Nyege festival. She also exhibited her work “Reverse Osmosis” at Berlin Atonal 2018. Her involvement in the electronic and experimental music scenes, and her desire to highlight the Belgian artistic community led her to become station manager at The Word Radio in Brussels.

Mind Against is a Berlin-based electronic music duo consisting of Alessandro and Federico Fognini.,The project is born in 2011 and in 2012 they recorded and released their first record “Cagliostro” on breakthrough label Life and Death.,In 2012 the duo have also composed remixes for WhoMadeWho, Róisín Murphy and PillowTalk, some of which in collaboration with label-mates Tale Of Us, on labels such as Kompakt, Cocoon and aforementioned Life and Death .,While heavily influenced from IDM and with clear roots in techno and house, in most of cases their sound can not be easily related to an established genre.,Mind Against’s debut EP “Atlant” has been released on 29 July 2013 via Life and Death as 12" vinyl and digital download.

That balance is brought into force delicately; easing listeners across an expansive style. With craft the otherworldly is made club-ready. Foresight and cautious preparation enable her to glide between genres that would formerly seem nonsensical – opening up her sound to distant tones whilst maintaining respect for the dancefloor’s natural order. When the bass and darkness subside, her lighter daytime persona comes into being. Beneath the beats a conceptual side is unearthed. Unposed is her latest creation: a release series exploring the emotive nature of a club night's final hours. In her Jay-by-day radio slots this conceptual side is further summoned; brought to life in strongly thematic, cross-genre explorations. Take 1: Brain Dub - the deft interplay of IDM and dub music. Take 2: Trip Jazz - the delving of trip-hop into acid’s soul. Themes come to life in many takes – a shifting melange of iridescent shapes. Sinephro's debut album Space 1.8 takes shape as a metaphysical structure, where each curative space is a orb-like cocoon created by Sinephro in service of relief and affirmative, ecstatic freedom. Space 1.8 was composed, produced, performed, engineered, recorded, mixed by Sinephro at age 22. On the album, she plays modular synths and pedal harp alongside her friends James Mollison, Shirley Tetteh, Nubya Garcia, Eddie Hick, Dwayne Kilvington, Jake Long, Lyle Barton, Rudi Creswick and more. Already one of the best-known eastern European techno/house DJs, Nastia’s star is firmly in the ascendancy globally. Her style is to an extent adaptable but she has a sound that is unmistakably her own. The last three years have been a whirlwind of gigs for Nastia. Her twilight techno, melancholic minimal, stripped-down ghetto funk and sustained house have been wowing crowds all around the world. She’s recently signed to the prestigious agency Bullitt DJ so her travellings are going to be even further afield every week. ~ Soundcloud

̸BIOGRAPHY Creativity is the tool Nelly uses to process, understand and cope with the world. She finds solace in forest walks as much as she does on darkened dance floors and losing herself in these moments allows her to reset, reflect and become re-inspired. When she is on the other side of the DJ booth, she is someone who distills dark musical forces into high energy sets rich in atmosphere and dense with emotion. Impactful hypnotism, explosive rave, stylish trance and growling machines all colour the airwaves and make for moments of true escapism and non-stop physical workouts. But there is another side to Nelly's sound: away from the club she threads fluid musical stories that draw on a wide array of genres. They explore the darker side of her psyche and are a form of therapy that can soothe and stir various different emotions and transform troubled mindsets. As Nelly's family was a part of the Indonesian diaspora that arrived in Rotterdam by boat after the Indonesian War of Independence, her storytelling audiovisual projects, mixtapes and photography draw on intergenerational trauma and how to deal with it. Early in her life, Nelly was surrounded by a wide array of music but properly began exploring electronic sounds when she moved to Rotterdam. Her favourite spaces to dance in were cosy and sweaty basements. By then, she already used to spend hours making mixtapes in her bedroom. A time spent studying in Stockholm gave her the chance to buy her first controller and properly explore DJing, then a job behind the counter at the legendary Clone record store back home furthered her passion for digging ever deeper. From the '90s rave and trance of Belgium's Bonzai Records to Paul Johnson's raw Chicago sound, Nelly's inspirations are united by realness and roughness that always makes you want to dance. "The dance floor has an enormous place in my heart," says Nelly. "It is the place where I can laugh and cry at the same time; a place where I can let all my emotions flow." The basement space Nelly loved so much was in BAR Rotterdam, which eventually closed. But it is now known as POING and Nelly had the honour of re-opening it after the lockdown with her first-ever DJ set. Since then she has played at places such as ADE, at Rotterdam's techno club Perron, and FIBER Festival where she played a mesmeric closing set with VJ Leeza Pritanchenko. During the pandemic, Nelly's sounds were broadcast far and wide with mixtapes for the likes of Dekmantel, Nous’klaer and Traumgarten. Now, though, she is back to the DJ booth and ready to take you on your next trip into the unknown.

̸BIOGRAPHY Nèna plays music for booty and soul. Amsterdam’s Nèna brings feverish heat to the dance floor with sets that balance right in between smooth and energetic. Her open-minded approach to club music results in eclectic selection of dancehall and reggaeton glued into her excellent picks of bass, rolling techno and percussive electronics. Common threads that weave together her sound are dreamy melodies, contrasted with crunchy percussion, and a sweet sugar coating in the form of seductive vocals or luscious samples. Every other month Nèna showcases her favourite tracks in her radio shows on Radio Radio FM and Stranded FM, most often she shares this platform with other DJs and music-loving friends. As a familiar face at leftfield hot spots including MONO and Garage Noord, Nèna is a promising talent rising from Amsterdam’s prolific underground.

Nina Kraviz is one of techno’s most iconic DJs. Famous for both her dynamic and varied DJ sets, captivating performances and her acclaimed label трип (Trip), she’s been a techno powerhouse since she launched on the scene in 2009. In 2020, she played a series of live stream events and virtual festivals including an empty Dance Arena at EXIT and even on top of Mount Olympus in Greece. She also collaborated with streaming giants Spotify when she was chosen to be part of their trackID series, providing a regularly updated playlist to the platform that includes tracks from her own label as well as a diverse collection of releases from across multiple genres. That genre-hopping is also evident in her sets, where trance, techno, ambient and hardstyle can all be heard in one swoop, with her inimitable presence in the booth adding to the allure of Kraviz’s sets. As the DJ who played the most sets of any other in 2018, we’re sure she’ll be the first to hit the road again once it’s safe to do so. ~ DJMag

One of Belgium’s most acclaimed DJ, Nosedrip from Ostend. As a Dj, Nosedrip sets moods like no-one else and leaves dancefloors gasping for breath everywhere he goes. An amazing selector who has been regularly playing all over Europe with a remarked appearance at Dekmantel festival last year. In the space of just a few years, Nosedrip made a name for himself with the persistence and focus of a kid that wants to prove all his bullies wrong. From running a regular ambient show on his Mixcloud-page, which has a staggering 30.000+ followers, he went on to launch Stroom.tv. The platform caused quite some waves in the online radio community because of its unique mixture of oddball playlists and distinctive aesthetics. In 2016, his radio show moved to NTS and Stroom.tv turned into a record label focusing on heritage, with Ziggy spitting out killer archival releases from the likes of Alain Neffe, Jan Van den broeke, Vazz and Latvian avant-gardists NSRD.

Olof has been involved in different cultural projects where music plays a central role in communicating political beliefs. His solo project, Oni Ayhun, plays with stereotypical ideas and norms about gender in dance and experimental music. Starting djing around 98' at local school parties, he ran his first club in high school and has been djing since. He started out playing Disco, House, Garage, and Drum n' bass playing more Hip Hop and R&B in the early 2000's. Following this was a long period of playing harder Techno and House, including EBM and Shranz. The last decade has seen him playing mostly throughout Europe when he's not too busy producing music in his Berlin studio. Currently, as a DJ, Olof plays a mix of West African pop music, Kuduro, Acid, Hip Hop, R&B, and melodic Techno and House. He enjoys making fun edits and remixes to play in his sets. He recently remixed the Swedish Batucada group, Yacombe. You can hear it in the opening of his Rinse FM mix. He’s currently producing music for friends like Planningtorock, Zhala, and Houwaida Hedfi aka Hiya wal Âalam- a band in which he also plays the flute & percussion.

Coming from a decade long background in pirate radio and dubstep parties, DEEZ focuses on playing darker grooves and more percussive riddims bringing a unique perspective to the Dutch dance culture. Pushing the London sound and the contemporary productions from his peers, DEEZ always turns up with a bag full of tricks and a story to tell. Picking up the USB stick and blowing sentimental moments off forgotten wax, DEEZ toured the Dutch radio stations like a bat out of hell and reclaimed a space at the table with his refreshing curation. Playing a set pretty much every week during a pandemic made DEEZ hard to miss while we were all sat at home reminiscing our beloved club scene. He now regularly plays at venues, stages and stations all over Europe.

Formed during 2002 by three musicians from Western Australia with similar visions and musical backgrounds, Pendulum’s mission has always been to pull together their production resources, ideas and influences from various styles of music, to create a new sound that they felt was missing from dance music. In his youth, the Chilean-born Villalobos moved with his family to Germany in order to avoid the military dictatorship of Pinochet, and he eventually fell in with the country's fertile house community. Richie Hawtin played an essential role in developing the sound of minimal techno, as well as spreading its popularity throughout the global club scene. From that point on, participating in ever more ambitious projects, she was tapped by an international agency and started the road trip. Moonear slowly began collaborating with artists and friends like Luciano or Cosmic Chile Zürich, along with Dandy Jack as Junction SM. She has acquired an impressive international reputation, playing in clubs and festivals worldwide. In the last couple of years she has been releasing her own tracks and remixes on renowned international labels such as Karat and Perlon. Amsterdam based DJ and producer that also runs his Safe Trip label. There was a time when Marco Sterk a.k.a. Young Marco’s talents as a DJ and producer were among Amsterdam’s best-kept secrets. For well over a decade, he plied his trade, largely unheralded, on the city’s underground dance music scene. It was here, via several now infamous residencies, that he learnt his craft, gaining a reputation for ballsy, genre-defying eclecticism, playing sets that joined the dots between everything from tropical rhythms, afro gems and quirky Middle Eastern disco, to lost proto-house, throbbing techno and industrial-strength jack-tracks. These days, the Dutchman’s talents are widely known around the World. His position as a crate digger, record collector and infamous party-starter now guarantees a packed schedule of gigs in Europe, North America and beyond. His passion for working a dancefloor with “strange music” and “unclassics” is renowned, and it’s this that makes his sets so special. This humid, off-kilter obsession with the inspired and unusual has become a hallmark of Marco’s music, too. Once a key part of the Rush Hour family – the legendary Amsterdam label releasing a number of his early singles – in 2011 he made his debut on Lovefingers’ highly regarded ESP Institute label. His first two EPs for the label set out his now-trademark style, and won support from the likes of Dixon and James Murphy, amongst others, along the way. It’s perhaps unsurprising that a string of remix requests followed, leading to now classic reworks for the likes of Heatsick, Joakim, Francis Bebey and Soft Rocks. Hailing from Raynes Park, South West London, Paradinas began operating under the name µ-Ziq whilst studying for a degree in Architecture at Kingston University in 1991. he eventually left before completing the course, partially due to a lack of interest, but more importantly to concentrate all efforts towards his music on a full time basis. Early recordingsfirst emerged on the Rephlex label with the now classic 'Tango N'Vectif' in 1993, followed a few months later by a second, 'Bluff Limbo' in 1994 - on it's initial promo run of 1000 copies, it rapidly gained a noteriety out of all proportion to it's availability, even entering the NME top 50 albums of that year. 'Tango...' meanwhile has gone on to sell in excess of 40,000 copies. In March 1995, Mike signed to Virgin and released the 'Salsa With Mesquite' ep and the album 'In Pine Effect' ("the difference is that where the Aphex Twin's topographical doodles suggest undiscovered, unpeopled planets, µ-ZIq's approach is a good deal more emotional, attempting to tap into the inner, surfing the soul... This is 'techno' elevated above the mere functionalism of the dancefloor, lighting fires in the heart and painting pictures for the mind's eye." - Melody Maker). This year also saw the genesis of 'Jake Slazenger', one of Mike's numerous pseudonyms with the acclaimed future-past casio jazz-funk of the 'Makesaracket' album on Clear. 1996 saw Paradinas join forces with Richard James for Aphex's one and only collaboration album 'Mike and Rich' on Rephlex; it was also the year that Mike signed to Warp for his second Jake Slazenger album and indie chart number 1: 'Das Ist Ein Groovy Beat, Ja'. May 1997 saw the release of 'Lunatic Harness', his third album proper, which saw µ-Ziq introducing more aspects of jungle style programming into his music (previously showcased on the 'Urmur Bile Trax' series). This time he was mixing elements of twisted hip hop, carnivalesque synths, toy-town world music and - what became known as - 'drill & bass' with his own inimitable style. Though he may incorporate these elements in his music, Mike never lets these influences smother a track entirely, instead mixing it all up into an end result that is both innovative and new. At 50,000 worldwide sales & counting, album of the week in both NME and Melody Maker, many others thought so too. 20 years ago Mike launched his own independent record label 'Planet Mu' releasing material by Venetian Snares, Remarc, Vex'd, Machinedrum, Kuedo & Jlin amongst many many others, including some of his own projects 'Kid Spatula' & the 'Slag Boom Van Loon' collaborations with Jochem Paap (aka Speedy J). Now over 350 releases old, Planet Mu has become one of the mainstays of the electronic music scene along with Ninjatune and Warp records, gaining more respect with every year that passes. In July '99 Mike released 'Royal Astronomy' on Virgin Records' 'Hut Recordings' subsiduary. Musically a sizeable shift from 'Lunatic Harness', the album focused more on his orchestral leanings (which were already present on 'In Pine Effect') and he was further inspired (as support act on her 1998 Homogenic tour) by Björk's use of live string sections in her shows. The album revealed a more poppy and melodic side to Paradinas than on previous occasions, while taking care not to discard any of the innovative programming and cutting edge beats that he'd become renowned for. The album was preceded by aa single 'The Fear', an infeciously haunting vocal track with pastoral strings underpinned by a Northern Soul mid-tempo shuffler rhythm, displayting the versatile nature of Paradinas' output. In 2003 Paradinas' Planet Mu label released one of their most successful records to date: 'Bilious Paths', Mike's 10th album as µ-Ziq. 12 tracks of hard cut-up breaks and electronics, distorted washes of melodic detrius and occasional serene ambience. Much of the album charted new territory for Paradinas, like the opening track 'Johnny Maastricht' which was inspired by the then new and emerging Garage sounds which would eventually coelesce into Dubstep and Grime, but with Mike's own trademark melodic sensibilities taking the place of the bass and the 'Grape Nut Beats' duo of tracks which mixed 6/8 gabber/tekno, old skool rave and nu-skool breaks to devestating effect. 'On/Off featured the vocal 'talents' of Ghostly's Mike Dykehouse (who has also released on Planet Mu) embellishing a dirty-bass electro anthem about panties.
