Avalon Emerson is from the desert. While she currently lives in Berlin, the music she produces comes from the dreamlike expanse and abstract textures of the Sonoran landscapes of Arizona. Her journey has taken her from that sunbaked state to the contemporary dance music mecca via a long stint in San Francisco, where she cut her teeth as a DJ in the city's storied warehouse party scene. In her DJ sets and productions now, she offers a timeless narrative that reflects a passion for the sound design of new wave, the futurism of techno, the soul of American house and the exuberance of rave. Though she's built up steam in 2015 from multiple sets at Panorama Bar, and globetrotting all around Europe and North America, she's just getting started, and continues to outdo herself with original productions released on labels like Shtum, Spring Theory, Icee Hot, and her own DJ tool edit pool, the Cybernedits series.

Additionally, the Honcho Campout festival is his blitz of the forest, a pinnacle event of queer American dance music. A pillar of the new American wave of queer underground clubbing, Aaron is co-founder of the infamous Hot Mass club in Pittsburgh. A loud, sleazy after-hours built inside of a gay sauna where anything goes until 7am every weekend. At Hot Mass, he programs both the queer Honcho party as well as the 20-years long techno party, Humanaut. More recently, Honcho has become known for their annual Honcho Campout festival - a tight-knit queer blitz of the Pennsylvania forest that has become a pinnacle event of underground American dance music. His sound is the American Midwest, sliding effortlessly between house and techno – everything sharing the common threads of heavy kicks, funk, and a slathering of the psychedelic.

He soon started to perform regularly back home in Nürnberg, while also curating and organizing concerts and parties as part of an independent promoter collective. When he stands behind the decks, AGY3NA connects to his own feelings of freedom on the dancefloor. His music selection gravitates towards spacey, explorative, and rhythm-focused House and Electro. It not only connects his intrinsic urge for experimentation with his artistic expression, but also links it with his identity as a black man growing up in Germany. After finishing his first degree in psychology, AGY3NA moved to Berlin to pursue a masters in cognitive science, while finetuning his DJing skills. Two years later, he moved to Leipzig, where he currently parallels his music projects with his research interests.

In 2016 she said goodbye to her hometown to recharge musically in Berlin and acquire new skills in producing. Now, 5 years later, she is not only completely at home in Berlin, but more importantly in her sound. She had her first gig in 2001, and from then on there was no turning back. Making music – that's what she always wanted to do. From the very start, being a passive listener at the club was not enough for her. So she found her first mentor. Over the years, she has continued to grow. Today, as Donna, she steps up to the DJ booth in her most authentic form. When DJing, Donna follows her intuition, letting herself be guided by the atmosphere in the club. There is rarely a planned set, but what the tracks always have in common is their pulsating energy, their drive. It can be groovy and melodic, but also darker and harder. Donna feels every track she plays one hundred percent. From house to techno, to 90s groove, Detroit sound, acid, breakbeats, electro and IDM, it is all there – depending on what mood she perceives in the club and what resonates best with the moment. As a child of the 90s, she is influenced by the sound of those years. How many, after moving to New York by way of San Francisco in the early ’00s, can say that they helped to rejuvenate the city’s then-stale nightlife via her residency at one of the best parties ever held in a hole-in-the-wall gay bar, the Mad Clams affair? Grandmaster Flash called him 'a disgrace to hip hop' when he turned up for his first club date without slipmatts and needles. Harsh, right? He once played a gig at a hospice. He once played a Christmas party for some confused London cabbies in a greasy spoon under the A40 flyover. He once played a gig on an army barracks in Essex. Three men got naked. That bit was actually quite cool. ...anyway, the point of mentioning this malarky is that, years later, it feels like a complete DELIGHT for this London-based DJ to play music in more conventionally conventional places. Oli Keens is a fiendish collector of disco and loves nothing more than sharing his finds and spreading joy, weekend after weekend. Oli is a resident for London queer party collective Little Gay Brother, who give him the space, support and big drag energy to tell a unique disco story at their epic Omeara parties, headline sets at Meadows in the Mountains, Elrow takeovers and more. He's played for Percolate at some very lovely rave-'em-ups at Hangar and Queens Yard Summer Party and for Savage at their kinky Metropolis mothership. Under the Priori Moniker, Québecois musician Francis Latreille has established himself as a crucial voice in underground techno. His 2019 full-length debut On A Nimbus, released on his own NAFF imprint, was a haunting foray into the possibility/impossibility of technological utopia, where elements of dub techno, drum & bass, IDM, and tech-house curiously converged, resulting in an album at once familiar, modern, and undeniably singular. Francis followed that with a string of essential releases–from the slow-burning techy meditations of SCN and Little Flower to the anthemic, trance-inflected Infinity–ending with 2021’s Your Own Power. Priori is also an accomplished mixing engineer; a quick search will reveal an exhaustive list of credits on projects by Roza Terenzi, D. Tiffany, Escape Artist, Bambii, Gene Tellem, Maara, and ex-terrestrial, to name a few. Between the label he runs with Adam Feingold (aka ex-terrestrial) and the studio he runs with Patrick Holland, Francis is quietly shaping the course of underground electronic dance music in Canada and abroad.

A regular DJ on the London club circuit and queer scene, notable appearances include playing London's The Cause on NYE, popular techno party Night Service, headlining the Big Dyke Energy stage at Body Movements Festival and their night at Venue MOT, as well as filming a livestream for Beatport as part of the Rising Stars series curated by Maya Jane Coles where she racked up over 20k viewers live on Twitch. With a self-produced debut techno EP (and neoclassical piano LP) in the works, her high-energy, dark and playful genre-bending sets are rooted in techno but also touch on electro, synthwave, industrial, acid and UK bass. In the summer she recorded her debut guest mix for Rinse FM and has since ventured into composing music for trailers, alongside spending the second half of 2022 honing her production skills and building up a vast and varied collection of original material. 2023 will see her return to DJing more regularly as she gears up for her debut releases.

This unique soundscape was written across 2016 single ‘Queen Nemesis’, a frantic, uptempo track featuring rapid-fire raps from London MC Janset. The track quickly racked up support from Adidas Originals, which playlisted the song in its stores, as well as press outlets including Dazed Korea, The 405, Red Bull and Wonderland, who described Togni as "the DJ to watch". Togni is also a core member of INFERNO, a London-based club collective renowned for fusing club culture, performance art and techno which caught the attention of Dazed and I-D. They hold a residency at The Yard where she is also a resident DJ. Togni has performed in super-clubs like O2 Brixton Academy, Ministry Of Sound, Electric Brixton, Goa (Rome), Sala Cool (Madrid), Milk Club (Turin), Loftus Hall (Berlin), Lanificio 159 (Rome), Club Haus (Milan), Aistope Lounge (Tokyo) and many more. Although she has numerous gigs lined up at Destino Ibiza, Paris, EGG London and Five Miles (where she currently has a monthly residency), Elektrowerkz and in the Island of Mustique, Togni has been focusing her time in the studio. Samantha has currently finished her new EP “Brutus” and it’s already working on a next EP. She is also working on projects with renowned international producers Danny Passerella, Warboy and Hectic. She has tracks lined up to be released on Glauben Records, Industrial Techno United, LSA Live, Subwoofer Records and Loose Lips, for which she will also do a podcast mix. Togni’s work does not finish here, she is due to have more radio shows appearance on Threads Radio in July and Techno.FM in August. The last year alone has seen her releasing tracks on Skint Records, #internetghetto and also self releasing a series of tracks which gained the attention of 60.000 listeners on Spotify. Her latest EP “Trust Issues” caught the attention of Mixmag, which premiered it.

Sapphire Slows is what you might call an everything-ist: she produces, DJs, plays synth and keyboard, and her eerie, drone-like vocals float over her tracks, embellishing their shadowy textures. After the brutal awakening of the 2011 earthquakes in Japan, she became motivated to pursue a career in music. Now a notable name in Tokyo’s electronic music scene, she has toured North America, Europe, China and her home country, and released on labels such as Japan’s Big Love and Los Angeles’ Not Not Fun/100% Silk. While some of her songs are submerged in a blue-ish, slo-mo haze as her name suggests, others are more abrasive and in tune with the whirring pace of krautrock, as on 2014’s Allegoria album.

̸BIOGRAPHY S-Candalo is a DJ duo made up of Tania and Dominik Humeres-Correa (THC & DHC). They are siblings, and in their sets, one can hear alongside a deep honour for the oldschool sound a kind of telepathic link that siblings share. Raised in Germany with Colombian and Chilean roots, they are well-acquainted with the act and mindset of mixing (tracks, attitudes, languages) and keeping one’s back to another’s back. In the past years the siblings have engaged in fields ranging from music management to fashion and in their blends there is also a certain synthesis of passion and defined taste that speaks, simply, to fierceness. Fearsomeness, too – their sound is burning and relentless with seductive vocal samples, loopy synths, and bright, punchy kicks. On their recent mixes for platforms such as MARICAS, Radiant Love, Rinse FM, and HÖR, obtuse melodies from the 90s blend with sassy club bangers, then into polyrhythmic grooves, and so on. Their sound is overflowing with the queen and the queer, an energy they also direct into Venus Vessels, a non-profit music collective hosting parties and programming a residency on radio8000. With upcoming gigs this year in London, Amsterdam, Athens and Berlin, expect scandals and heated speakers from city to city.

Half of The Fantasy, with BMG Scott Zacharias is musically ambidextrous, the co-founder of both Detroit's Macho City and Disco/Secret with Mike Trombley, and the original resident of Oslo. Suze and fellow International DJ Lottie, who has been championing her for a while, have started the all female driven night Geisha which begun in 2010 and has hosted nights in Ibiza as well as various parts of the UK. Not wanting to pigeonhole herself, her style is House, from deep to tech, influenced from disco to 80’s synths to progressive and usually vocally infused along the way. This year is set to be an exciting one for this musically driven beat junkie!

̸BIOGRAPHY TAAHLIAH is an artist, performer and DJ based in Glasgow, Scotland and London, England. TAAHLIAH is a DJ & Producer from Glasgow. After making her name in the underground queer club scenes of Berlin & Glasgow as a DJ and remixer, she took stage as a producer in 2021 when she started releasing on London label untitled (recs). 
 Her debut-EP "Angelica" (out May 28th) brings together TAAHLIAH's expansive production skills and range of influences, moving effortlessly between squeaky-clean hyperpop textures (Brave, Freefalling) and the jacking hard- dance sounds (FMH, Bourgeoisie, Transdimensional) which defined her much lauded Boiler Room debut earlier this year. 
 Throughout Angelica, the producer details a range of autobiographical experiences that have come to shape her as a person and an artist: from coming to terms with being trans (Brave), to coming from a working class background (Bourgeoisie); from breaking up (Tears) to falling in love (Freefalling). It’s not a gimmick – to hear a track slammed into another so deftly is a psychoactive experience. THC’s sets are kinetic, propulsive in this way. High-energy without a loss of soul, hard-hitting and still very playful and very gay. We are reminded that techno need not be a gloomy, rumbling march, and that house has a whole range of attitudes at the same time ruthless and smiling. She blazes, to put it simply. ​Having heated Berlin dancefloors and airwaves for a few years, THC is one of the founders and resident at La Noche and Venus Vessels. She has her own show HOT BOX at HÖR radio, and has released mixes via DJ Mag, Fact Mag and NTS. The last year has also seen her playing alongside her sibling DHC as the duo unit S-candalo. Originally from Mandeville, Jamaica, and based in Brooklyn, New York, TYGAPAW is a polymathic artist injecting their Jamaican heritage into techno. Operating at the intersections of their musical and cultural roots, TYGAPAW infuses the raw energy of dancehall with their signature emotional club sound. The self-taught producer founded monthly club nights Shottas, No Badmind and Fake Accent, creating platforms and spaces for QTIPOC. Fake Accent also functions as TYGAPAW's own imprint, which aims to platform and centre black electronic music artists.

̸BIOGRAPHY Technology, Aliens, Detroit Hailing from the Rust Belt suburbs of Detroit, Chris Macom, aka Zen Zero, began his music journey through love of computers. Soon he was experimenting with building computers, exploring audio programs, and connecting random home audio equipment to his PC. Chris had early exposure to hip-hop and dance music from neighborhood friends, and DJs on local Detroit radio shows that would draw him to DJing as a teenager. Coming of age in the burgeoning Detroit rave scene of the late-90s, Chris was exposed to underground house and techno. Playing house parties, dances, and graduations allowed him to hone his DJ skills and nuances of playing for a crowd. Hours on his computer were spent learning the bare bones of audio production, and burning bootleg CDs of DJ mixes to fund his ever growing record collection. After high school, Chris started a record label and makeshift studio with a tight knit group of friends in a dilapidated ice cream truck warehouse. “Hodges” as it became known, was the home base for a stream of parties, a record label, and hours spent in the studio. Here, Chris learned proper recording and mixing from a close friend and business partner. At the same time, Chirs found himself playing an ever expanding amount of DJ gigs around Detroit, as well as serving as a DJ and hype man for local hip hop emcees. With the Detroit rave scene taking a pause in the early 2000s,Chris and his longtime friend started the first Detroit Techno blog and podcast to fill the void and keep themselves sane. During a dry period in Detroit party culture, they used this format to promote events around the city, promote new releases/artists, and interviewed increasingly bigger DJs. At one point it was one of the Top 10 Techno blogs in the world, featuring DJs such as the Detroit Techno Militia crew, Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale, and Dave Clarke. Eventually, being allowed Press access to the Movement festival allowed them to network further in the electronic music community. From here, Chris’s DJ career took off, and you could find him playing at Detroit dance clubs like TV Lounge, The Works, Grasshopper Underground, as well as Ann Arbor's famous Necto Lounge, playing with DJ’s T-1000, Delano Smith, Araab Muzik, Jay Daniel, Monty Luke, Todd Osborn, Tadd Mullinex, DJ Holographic, DJ Minx, and Norm Talley. Recently, Chris formed 5th DImension Detroit with some like minded DJs that encompasses a record label, series of parties, and a crew of DJs. 5th Dimension has thrown parties at Detroit hotspots like Marble Bar, Tangent Gallery, The High Dive, and The Magic Stick, as well as pop up events in Detroit’s Eastern Market and on the Riverfront. Chris has shared the stage with artists like Scan 7, Maceo Plex, Luke Hess, Boo Williams, Hiroko Yamamura, Derrick Carter, Dez Andres, Derek Plaislaiko, and Justin Cudmore. The 5th Dimension label has released Chris’s biggest track to date “Aliens In My Room”, getting international play and featured on the HATE youtube channel. They also recently released “Traveler’s Compilation”, reaching #1 album release on Beatport in the Techno Raw/Deep/Hypnotic genre, with his single “Next Train to Neptune” reaching respectively at #9 in the genre. Chris is currently in the Studio working on his next album and music video that he hopes will take him to an even higher level. As his name implies, he tries to traverse the Techno landscape with Zen and Stoic philosophies in an attempt to live clear minded and do what comes natural.
