Nanogram is the Hong Kong-based DJ project of Jason Ng. Since 2017, Nanogram has evolved through different genres ultimately finding his unique style of blending techno, industrial, and experimental electronic music. Heavily inspired by post-punk and industrial music culture, Nanogram has since determined to bring the dystopian sound to Hong Kong. Realizing the lack of well-tuned sound systems and a music-focused venue in Hong Kong, which limits the possibility of enjoying the far left segment of electronic music, Nanogram found a team of like-minded and driven individuals to build 宀 Club together and started his event series at the club – Entropy 熵, which emphasizes on experimentation on the art of selection, mixing and live performances. Nanogram is a resident DJ of 宀 Club and has performed alongside Phase Fatale, Mr. Ho, Sinus O, and more. He has also performed at a renowned experimental venue in Tokyo, KGR Tokyo, and has contributed a podcast mix to C-Kay’s Coma Hole series.

Al Burro (London) first got interested in electronica back in 1994 when he first heard Jeff Mills’ Transmission 1. Drawn to the futuristic soundscape, he and a friend bought their first set of belt-driven decks back in 1995 and this began a longstanding affair with techno. After annoying the neighbours for a couple of years, they decided to branch out and start annoying people at private parties and smaller venues, and annoy them they did. But, with practice and time came a more well-rounded sound; after which, he took a 5-year sabbatical from DJing and took his turn on the dance floors around the world. Al Burro is equally at home in industrial warehouses as in ambient pastures. He is a firm believer in variations on a common theme: It's about the mood not the genre. When next Al stopped travelling long enough to make owning musical equipment logistically possible, Al discovered a more mature sound. The Detroit Soul and Motown roots remained, but added to this was a drive for a more worldly sound and an appreciation of other forms of music including jazz, hip hop, swing, house and too many more to mention. Al cites as some of his influences: Gilles Peterson, Ninja Tunes, Mr Scruff, DJ Food, Jurassic 5, Radiohead, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Derrick May, UR and the list goes on.

Changa is a core member of 15Grams, a music community based in the New Territories. Changa is deeply rooted in the soundsystem culture with a sweet spot for Dubstep, Drum And Bass, and reggae.

As a film critic and scholar, Dan-Neo is a firm believer in storytelling. His DJ sets often bring you ups-and-downs by merging different genres across countries and eras, drawing elements from disco, house, techno, dub-step and more. He can demonstrate an effortlessness of going from hard bangers to soft chill-out tunes, and vice versa. The unique texture of his sound is a result of adopting both minimal and maximal approaches to musical selection and mixing skill. Nonetheless, his musical taste is deeply rooted in those beats and tunes that embrace a cinematic and cosmic tone. Dan-Neo has been honing his skills as a DJ after he joined Acadana - the best kept secret in Hong Kong - back in 2016. Apart from managing parties and events at Acadana, he regularly plays at different bars and clubs across Hong Kong, such as, 宀 Club, Ruby, Oma and Social Room. Dan-Neo's carefully curated selection also brings him to other respected underground venues across the globe, such as, Oil Club in Shenzhen...

Hugo first discovered underground house and techno when he worked as an event photographer in 2010. The bold and mesmerizing tunes he heard at legendary venues Yumla and Bassment piqued his interest in the art of DJing. With his photography on hiatus since 2017, Hugo now plays consistent, well-curated sets to diverse audiences. Hugo's taste in 4/4 dance music can best be described as “very deep”, but he also enjoys experimenting with hip hop and indie rock – the two genres he grew up with - when the moment is right. Arriving at each gig with an external hard drive worth of uncompressed music, there are always the right tunes at Hugo's disposal, for a bar session, club night or beach party. Hugo has played at some of Hong Kong's most notable events and venues including Acadana, Fauve Radio, Mihn Club, Oma, Schweinehund Teknival and Shi Fu Miz Festival.

JayMe may not be a familiar name globally, but try mentioning it to any credible DJ in HK, and you will be met with wide opened eyes and a big grin. Cuz he’s one of the most respected figure in the local scene. He grew up in the 70’s witnessing the disco boom first hand. He kept his love collecting records and going to parties for more than 30 years. Began DJing from 2013 alongside his medical career, earning the title “the Disco Doctor”. Started his own Loft style private club in 2015 called Acadana (literally means Party without a care) which has become the most cherished place amongst all underground DJs. Dabbled into Techno territory in 2017 playing at Teknival, Social Room etc. 2018 saw him did several unforgettable gigs at 宀club, the rising star of HK’s scene. Regardless of the genre he’s playing, JayMe is still deeply rooted in old skool NYC style with just one resident DJ for the whole night, à la Larry Levan or Junior Vasquez...

A prominent presence in Hong Kong's underground music scene, Jo.D has earned a reputation for consistently delivering tight, sophisticated American House, Acid, Electro and Techno sets to packed dance floors in the most cultured clubs in the region. Founder of Vib., Jo.D is hosting her debut party this June (2019). For the first edition, her choice of foreign DJ is Shanghai’s resident of Elevator - Diamond Lil. When she's not behind the decks at either of the two clubs at the epicentre of Hong Kong's underground movement - Social Room & Oma - Jo.D enjoys headlining at some of most well respected clubs, including 宀Club Hong Kong, The Council Singapore and Echobay Chongqing. Leveraging a unique eclectic taste backed by a strong technical skill set, Jo.D effortlessly interweaves intricate, hypnotic beats with textured, rhythmic industrial tracks to produce a fresh sound that's distinctly her own.

Wada is a DJ based in Chiba, Japan. He started his career with the influence of FUTURE TERROR and the scene around it. Ever since then, he has been getting gigs in other parts of Japan as well such as Shizuoka, Osaka, and Kita-Kyushu. What makes his DJ very special is the consistency of the groove although the songs he plays are very diverse. You will see strong funkiness created from machine groove through his style. Today, he is organizing a party called Spotseek at Sound Bar Mui in Chiba with this concept “local 2 local”. It means that not just booking DJs through agencies, but directly getting connected with them and the local scenes they belong to. They invited DJ Sotofett & DJ Fett Burger, Luca Lozano, DJ TLR, Mr Ho as well as Japan-based DJs and live artists. In 2017, he released his first DJ mix Western-Western from ROKOTSUNA MUSIC in Osaka. Yadin plays a jumble of spooky noise, wonky disco, voguey house, b-boy electro and loose-limbed techno from his favourite labels like Osare!, Discos Capablanca, Atrophy and more so if these words sound interesting to you there is a good chance that you will dance rather than stare. While living in Singapore, he co-ran the notoriously decadent after-hours series Breakfast Club and later held a residency at Headquarters - where his off-kilter selections made him an ideal supporting act for visiting DJs like Black Merlin and Intergalactic Gary. Currently based in Hong Kong, he is now a resident of 宀 and their flagship industrial/ebm/techno night - Entropy 熵. He also co-runs RADIO HURUHARA, a mix series focused on the stranger side of electronic music.

Resident at 宀 Club, Hong Kong 4 am on a Saturday at a packed sweaty club in Sheung Wan, body to body dancing to a range of sounds from Boy Harsher to an unreleased remix of Madonna’s “Bedtime Story” to Islamic chants over a marching techno beat. Just one night before, in the very same district, police were firing rounds and rounds of tear gas to freedom-fighting protesters. That pretty much sums up what Youry does now: DJing from his heart; taking risks and making history despite chaos and negativity. Youry was born in the late eighties in Antwerp in the background of the nascent EBM / Big Beat scene in Belgium. His father was a musician and Jazz producer turned entrepreneur, while his Chinese Cambodian mother gave him an Asian sensitivity. But he really caught his dance music bug when he saw Akufen playing at Montreal’s Stereo in the early noughties. Since then Youry has become a vinyl addict, building up a meticulously categorised collection. His DJing career took off in 2015, setting foot at various clubs and festivals in Hong Kong such as Shi Fu Miz, Sonar, and Acadana. Since 2018 he has become a resident DJ at 宀 club, widely regarded as the first venue in Hong Kong to be on par with the best clubs in the global dance scene. It is here that he earned the freedom to build up all-night-long eclectic sets. As the local situation gets more volatile, a party where people can feel free becomes more relevant than ever. The stakes are high, but Youry is determined.
