  • Danielle

̸BIOGRAPHY When a true selector takes flight, it sounds as though they re-mould each track to fit their specific vision. That’s exactly the effect Danielle has as a DJ, drawing across stylistic divides to create an instinctive groove which is all her own. On top of a foundational core of house, techno and electro she folds in myriad sonic wildcards to create dynamic, innovative variations on the club music experience. It’s logical her tastes would be omnivorous – Danielle spent 10 years working at fabled London record shop Phonica, one of the definitive destinations for dance music in the city, as well as a lengthy tenure at iconic Bristol store Idle Hands. Being across new releases week in, week out is one thing, but knowing how to stitch them together is another. From the breakthrough years perfecting the craft of a great warm-up to her long-standing residency on NTS Radio since 2017, Danielle shaped her approach to DJing from a free-thinking, fluid angle which still rings true now she’s more commonly found at the top of the bill. Danielle’s DJing has touched upon vital events, venues and locations around the world, from touring the US and playing flagship festivals like Glastonbury, Dimensions, Kala and Love International, to clubs like DC10, Fabric, The White Hotel, Corsica Studios and Tresor, holding down a residency season for Colour Factory in London and Left Bank in Tbilisi, and frequently picked for parties as revered as Timedance, Herrensauna and Livity Sound. In tandem, her skills have been recognised by key publications including Mixmag, DJ Mag (she was nominated as a best breakthrough DJ in 2020) and Resident Advisor. Beyond her own DJ work (she’s also a frequent contributor to many a mix series), Danielle also takes the time to impart her experience and knowledge to the next generation via her classes at Mix Nights – a non-profit organisation she helped set up seven years ago to encourage women and non-binary people to explore the art of DJing. Elsewhere, she works in an A&R and consultancy capacity for Team Love – a role which speaks to her consistent instinct for new developments within club music. Similarly, her label Soft Raw was founded in 2022 as a platform to champion the fresh talent she comes across in her position as a revered DJ. All these elements feed into the overall mission Danielle is on, pursuing her love of dynamic, physical soundsystem music with errant coding in its DNA. Keyed into new revolutions in the ever-evolving culture of the dancefloor, Danielle melds her impeccable taste together with fierce commitment and flair, delivering the impulse to move and presenting wholly new ideas to any crowd, any party, any time, anywhere.

  • DJ Fart in the Club

Hailing from South Korea, the tongue in cheek DJ has established herself as a late night mind twister of the highest order, flawlessly bending genres and vibes from Detroit electro to UK rave, techno, acid, trance, house and faster, harder leftfield electronics – you name it!

  • Dr. Rubinstein

The Russian-born Tel Aviv native Marina Rubinstein (the honorific is strictly cosmetic) moved to Berlin in 2012, shortly after beginning to spin, and swiftly became one of the sharpest party d.j.s anywhere. A Dr. Rubinstein set is easy to recognize—it’s both stark and raucous, festooned with vintage-Roland TB-303 acid synth lines and an unforced bonhomie that’s rare in techno. She remains a committed dancer: “If I’m not playing, you won’t ever find me in a d.j. booth,” she recently said.

  • French II

̸BIOGRAPHY DJ, producer and affiliate of Intercept records based in [NL] French II is a Dutch DJ and producer based in Tilburg. Drawing from a wide range of influences, his functional and murky, breaks- and percussion-heavy sound especially depicts Frank’s deep-rooted ties to UK bass music. He has been releasing on Intercept Records, a label and crew close to his heart, and hosts his own night Go! in his hometown Tilburg. French II weavs together eclectic mixes of breaks, Bass and techno. In September 2021 he earned himself a residency at the celebrated Amsterdam DJ-bar Radio Radio. With the familiar genre-disobedience, he seems to vent his more introspective side and provide the freedom for experimentation, giving room for melancholic atmospheres and brooding basslines to step in.

  • Hunee

Every DJ would like to think themselves a real musical connoisseur, but Hunee really is - it’s not him that says so, but pretty much anyone else whenever the man born Hun Choi pops up in conversation. His DJ sets have of course taken him all over the world from Aus to Asia, America to Europe, but they take listeners much further. As likely to draw for a classic house record as he is a disco curveball, a boogie delight or mixing an African bomb into a techno record, each selection he makes is a thing of true passion – you can see it not only in his eyes, but so too in the eyes of those dancing along whether he is making one of his appearances on Boiler Room or holding down a residency on NTS radio.

  • Ineffekt

̸BIOGRAPHY Through a blend of glistening vocal pieces, strings of dreamy melodies and distinctive rhythms, Ineffekt cleverly takes on a sound that both feels comfortable and illusive. It’s a nonchalant approach that results in colorful euphoria. Debut releases 'Kora' (Album, 2021) and 'Broken Dreams / Solaris' (EP, 2020) on Intercept, as well as a string of remixes including Coloray's ‘Blinded’ and Luna Morgenstern’s ‘Click Work Drop’ capture the above. Surrounding themselves with influences from a wide range of contemporary music, including breakbeat, pop and techno, it’s not so much aiming for a specific, but reaching for a compromise between eras and stylistically diverse sounds. That fusion of influences also shows up on the long list of releases planned for 2023. Leading to esteemed artists and platforms in the left-field to embrace his output. Following his 2020 debut EP, Ineffekt broadened his horizon by exploring hypermodern contemporary music that resulted in a run of original productions and remixes, including his debut album ‘Kora’, that have influences from all over the place, most notably breakbeat and altpop, as well as hints from a new wave of colorful electronica that has been developing in recent years. Consequently the 21-year-old supported Avalon Emerson, Bicep, Bonobo and Mall Grab on their tour nights, as well as performing at DGTL Festival, Dekmantel Selectors and prominent club De School in Amsterdam. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Catch The Sun / A Blackbird Rose on Intercept (2022) Kora on Intercept (2021) A Dream of Spring on Something Happening Somewhere (2021) Broken Dreams / Solaris on Intercept (2020)

  • LUCKY DONE GONE

People who have seen Lucky Done Gone play, know it’s not just his sets that are contagious, but it’s the friendly artist’s vibe that is catching too. His eyes are always fixed on the crowd in front of him, making sure everybody is enjoying the music as much as he is. His sets are a mixture of eternal styles: dreamy house, 90’s techno, leftfield sounds and trance influences. Going from subdued vibes to the more emotional side of things. Next to dj-ing Lucky Done Gone launched his own platform Modus in 2022 at the latest club ‘Parallel’ in Amsterdam. It’s here that he can connect people and show his diverse musical taste in multiple ways, which goes far beyond just house and techno. As a creator Lucky Done Gone has worked hard on his own music productions these past years. This has led to a release on the DGTL Records music label in 2022. More music is on its way now and will see the light of day very soon. With key performances at festivals such as Lowlands, Wildeburg, DGTL, and Awakenings to his name, Lucky is becoming an increasingly figure in the electronic music scene. In addition, he has made a name for himself at popular clubs such as WAS, Skatecafe, and Woodstock in the Netherlands, and has expanded his reach beyond the country with gigs at Macadam in Nantes (FR) and Desi in Nuremberg (GE). Watch out because it looks like there are plenty of occasions to catch Lucky Done Gone somewhere in the near future!

̸BIOGRAPHY Nèna plays music for booty and soul. Amsterdam’s Nèna brings feverish heat to the dance floor with sets that balance right in between smooth and energetic. Her open-minded approach to club music results in eclectic selection of dancehall and reggaeton glued into her excellent picks of bass, rolling techno and percussive electronics. Common threads that weave together her sound are dreamy melodies, contrasted with crunchy percussion, and a sweet sugar coating in the form of seductive vocals or luscious samples. Every other month Nèna showcases her favourite tracks in her radio shows on Radio Radio FM and Stranded FM, most often she shares this platform with other DJs and music-loving friends. As a familiar face at leftfield hot spots including MONO and Garage Noord, Nèna is a promising talent rising from Amsterdam’s prolific underground.

  • Passion DEEZ

̸BIOGRAPHY More breaks, More bass The inimitable Passion DEEZ [he/him] plays an alchemy of bass-centric sounds from 2-step and dark garage to instrumental grime and jungle. Coming from a decade long background in pirate radio and dubstep parties, DEEZ focuses on playing darker grooves and more percussive riddims bringing a unique perspective to the Dutch dance culture. Pushing the London sound and the contemporary productions from his peers, DEEZ always turns up with a bag full of tricks and a story to tell. Picking up the USB stick and blowing sentimental moments off forgotten wax, DEEZ toured the Dutch radio stations like a bat out of hell and reclaimed a space at the table with his refreshing curation. Playing a set pretty much every week during a pandemic made DEEZ hard to miss while we were all sat at home reminiscing our beloved club scene. He now regularly plays at venues, stages and stations all over Europe.

  • Rey Colino

Belgian DJ, owner of the Kalahari Oyster Cult label and the vinyl-focused distribution One Eye Witness. Working a symbiotic balance between his day job behind the steering wheel of Amsterdam-based webshop and distributor One Eye Witness and his seafood-luvin'label Kalahari Oyster Cult, when the night clocks in, Brussels native Rey Colino has long proven his dedication and talent when it comes to ubiquitous on and off-stage dancefloor busting operations. Thrusting his arrows smack dab the intersection of '90s grown ambient techno, sun-bleached house, further hybrid bassy riddims, and acid-infused electronics, Colino casts his net far and wide to paint amply textured, straight-out groovy narratives that, in addition to syncing up the dancers together through elaborate selections and surgical DJ swagger, sure know how to buildup the highest levels of energy and harness the ensuing storm with ever consistent style and panache.

  • Woody92

Woody92 is a visionary artist who’s musical craft runs parallel with a visual aesthetic resulting in very tangible outcomes. This highly expressive being draws influence from an array of external factors outside of music; subjects such as history, graphic design, the medieval era, the path of religion and the church all play a decisive role. He also keeps a tight circle of like-minded music heads many of which collectively shape the landscape of the Dutch underground scene. His story as an artist can be traced back to his hometown of Delft, a quiet part of the Netherlands with little musical identity but crucially neighbours with bigger brother The Hague. That being said Woody still caught glimpses of the psychadelic Techno, mystical ambient, free tribal tekno and push forward goa and psy-trance movements but locally it failed to rival that of the likes of Rotterdam & Amsterdam.....
