Ume is the Japanese DJ originally from Osaka and currently based in Saigon. He began his path as a selector in the underground parties surrounding his hometown, He is a member of the Mogra Radio. His music is a delicate soundtrack to the “here and now”. It is difficult to attribute it to any single genre, it is a reflection of the moment in time, atmosphere and mood of music lovers around. His sets are always filled with rhythmic grooves, extravagance and echoes from different cultures and worlds.

Hibiya Line is not Japanese. Behind that name hides Dan, a Swiss-Vietnamese guy who in 2006 began playing live acts mixing beats, house and techno in his hometown of Lausanne, Switzerland with two friends. They quickly made a name for themselves were invited to play in some of the most prestigious clubs and festivals around the country such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Paleo, and Motel Campoto name a few. His deep immersion in the Swiss party scene eventually brought him to Saigon in 2012, and in 2013, he opened The Observatory. Since then, Hibiya Line has become known as one of the most versatile and resilient DJs in the region, with more than enough capacity and drive to take full control of dance floors from the sundown to sunrise. Hibiya Line’s sound explores the house, disco and techno, but his dancefloor can always expect to experience some open-ended style tracks thrown in that make the audio journey more diverse and interesting...

Slowbirds started DJing and Beat Making in Tokyo at the end of 90's. He moved in Saigon and started the underground bass music party "Base of the Bass" in 2014 and has played at many parties in Vietnam. Co-Founder of Mogra Radio.

After having plunged into the depths of Saigon underground scene, Vynnibal moved behind the decks to bring her unique goofy, banging yet delicate sound to the aerial life. Despite her tender soul, Vynnibal is not afraid to explore unchartered territories, drive the crowd to unexpected places, mix feelings as she blends liquid emotions into multi-versed musical sets. With Vynnibal, expect the odd and the sparkly, the quirky and the severe, the kisses and the kicks. She is also behind “The Crisis” parties and regularly brings new acts and people together, contributing with passion to turning Saigon into a regional techno powerhouse.

Anh Vy is one of the youngest Djs in the Saigon underground scene and one of The Observatory’s newest residents. He's recognised by the versatility and flexibility in music. He was one of the resident DJs of former Upper Saigon. As time goes by, he is making himself into an interesting and promising piece of Saigon’s underground scene as an artist and a contributor with his very own uniqueness.

Coh-hul is a Tech Funk and Tech House DJ & Producer who is based in Saigon, Vietnam. His signature sound involves heavy basslines, tribal drum patterns layered with groovy sci-fi melodies. His sound is heavily influenced by the Dirtybird and Relief record labels. He is an established act in Vietnam, having residencies at the major clubs in Saigon. His biggest show was in Marseille at Le Chapiteau to a sold out venue laying down the best set of his career. Coh-hul hosts his own radio show “Play It Loud”. The monthly broadcast focuses on the hottest new Tech House and Tech Funk tracks before dedicating the last hour to a record label that gives him inspiration. His Youtube project “Seshnikov” is a one hour long production show that offers tips and showcases new track ideas. Currently all of his focus is spent on production, looking to get some of his own content onto dance floors. An exciting and driven future is what we have in store for this artist.

Born in Paris in the ’80s, Desnuages was immersed in music growing up with his mother dancer. Percussionist autodidact, he learns to play Darbouka and Djembe. Attracted by the Parisian night, he was quickly interested by the electronic scene and used to go to Concrete, Rex club with DJ friends where he discovers micro house, deep and minimal. He moved to Saigon in Vietnam in 2018 where he started to learn Djing with Dj friends and was resident at Arcan Club.

Record salesman, drummer in different bands, always attracted by the music he goes in the late 80s to djing discovering his new love: hip hop, he learned the basics of the mix and the love to create a musical universe. Discover House Music in the early 90s in a club near his home in the south of France and begins to become obsessed by this music. 1992 a friend already resident of a bar asks him to replace him and thus begins his career of Dj where he begins to explore the different facets of House Music. For more than 25 years he continues to explore all the different genre of this music wich he considers the richest and varied in emotions.

It all started with a curiosity in the early 80s when Edge began watching the twirling and then the mixing of 2 cassette tapes. The curiosity has since moved on from one musical adventure to another for this eclectic musical connoisseur who, as experience and years will inevitably do, honed his craft by challenging conventional wisdom in his quest for the next alternative.

Jauge has been a prolific creator of musical ideas and has been playing live sets at events such as Mutek, Future Music Everything and other various independent parties within the Welsh music scene. During that time he also had releases included on labels such as MTA Records, Food Music, and Bad Panda Records. After migrating to VN, he has shared his sounds and music creations at various venues and events such as Duality Festival, Kobala, Studio Adventure, Equation 2018, Savage, Rafikis, We Groove, Mystery Mountain, Kumquat Tree and the recent This Is. Originally hailing from Wales in the UK, I'm currently residing in Saigon after spending 4 years in the northern capital of Hanoi. I usually explore a diverse melange of house, deep, disco and electro. Expect dreamy Balearic tracks, tribal afro sounds mixed in with some more dancefloor focused house music. I have a passion for travelling and aim to incorporate some global sounds into many of my sets.

Saigon brewed Khoi Mai, and after traveling near and far, he relocated to his home country in 2018. Quickly becoming one of the key players in Hanoi as part of the Savage crew, he recently moved back to Saigon, where he is now the newest resident of The Observatory. Khoi presents a fun and light-hearted attitude to dance music with eclectic selections and a dreamy, percussive sound. Moving smoothly between genres, Khoi puts his personality and influences to use on any dance floor he’s put in control of, with constant grooves, surprises and delights.

Astronomical ambiance, warmed with hot synths and drums, KONG has been sharing his overwhelming passion for music through diversified sets, often powerful and versatile. Real crossover of many music genres, his music tastes comes from his little but strong experience in the music industry working for clubs, festivals and record labels and meeting captivating artists, producers, DJs... For 3 years now, he has been promoting parties in Rennes, France as a promoter through "Decilab" inviting techno/house/beats artists. His road crossed The Observatory, techno, house and disco temple, in July 2016 where he worked there as head of communications, gaining solid dance floor experience, bathed in the morning sunlight.

La Riff is Axel Riffaud nickname gave from his childhood friends. It lasted over the years as the strong friendship. Axel grow up with all kind of music in his ears. As many others he first been a dancefloor lover, always looking for the eclectic music. Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Palma de Mallorca, Hong Kong & Ho Chi Minh City been his playground. By the beginning of 2019 La Riff touched for his first time a CDJ, one month later he was starting performing in reputed venues for underground music of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Summer 2019, he started to produce his own tracks with the idea of feed his DJ Set. He immediately got the virus of that and quickly been recognize by professional of the industry for his work.

Manny is a Paris native, currently living in Saigon. Manny’s love for hip hop music started with 90’s French hip hop music and later blossomed when he had started to listen to American hip hop artists, such as 2-Pac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and the NWA. He then went on to co-produce "Le Plan Deb", a French rap lyrics band. His passion for hip hop started to evolve while listening to one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s sample compilations, “Shaolin Soul”. That paved the way which led him into soul funk disco music. Since then, Manny has dabbled with many genres, such as African and tropical culture. He has developed his own styling of soul to topical groove with a touch of modernity. Every so often his music tends to be a little bit wilder, as he explores deeper dark sounds.

Maraphoria is one of Saigon’s party starters in the local DJ community. She has a varied sound that has influences from all sorts of genres: Hip Hop, Disco, House and R&B. Born in the Philippines but grew up in Vietnam, she has been strongly influenced by DJs in the local community and experiments with her favorites to create her own sound. Recently she has been exploring the sound of House and adding flavors of Bass, Groove and UK Garage.

Matt Abstrax has been a major player in the Australian house, techhouse & techno scene for many years with his party rocking DJ sets and, and as the creator of party brand TechPhonics. He has brought to Adelaide and played alongside a massive array of acts over the past 8 years, including Derrick May, Robert Hood, Octave One, Luke Slater, Ben Klock, James Zabiela, Hybrid, Jay Lumen, Funkagenda, Ian Pooley, Patrick Topping, Oliver $, Audiojack, Nick Curly, Pleasurekraft, & many more. Matt has played major Australian music festivals including Stereosonic, Summadayze, Future Music Festival, Play Festival, Re:connect and Winter Solstice, sharing stages with Disclosure, Gorgon City, Sven Vath, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Maya Jane Coles and more. Matt hosted a weekly 2 hr online mix show for 5 years on web-station Soundpond.net. After travelling through Asia he is now based in Ho Chi Minh City and plays regularly across Vietnam and Cambodia.

Hailing from the San Francisco underground and based out of Saigon, MTXIII has always embraced the weirder side of life. Playing regularly around Saigon at ZigZagger, Arcan, The Lighthouse, Broma & The Observatory, as well as making regional appearances with Savage (Hanoi), Opio (Hoi An), Resonant (Taipei), Safe Room (Bangkok) and Vulan (Manila), MTXIII continues to further his regional presence. Co-founder & Conductor of Electronic Imports [Ei], a new Saigon based label, he and his counterpart Jonathan BE bring fresh and innovative event concepts to the scene with a focus on showcasing the energies & sonic perceptions of artists from various parts of the world.

Addicted to vinyl, Micmac is an activist of the French underground electro scene since the mid 90's as a co-founder of FDB recordings, electro bass label and a resident of the paradise massage parties @ Rex Club with famous Headliners from Detroit like Dj Assault, AUX 88, Detroit Grand Pubahs.

Music has the power to alter emotions. MyHero a.k.a. Jordan Bates believes this power of music is best served hot, without limitation or rules. Growing up in 80’s suburbia, MyHero’s taste for electronic music was fueled by Düsseldorf, Chicago, Essex, New York City and Detroit mixed with queer club culture. Kraftwerk, Salsoul Orchestra, Talking Heads, Mr. Fingers, Klein & MBO, The ORB and Adonis are all the roots of MyHero’s house. As an active member of the Mugic collective of deejays and party promoters based in Singapore, MyHero continues his more than 15 years of playing lounges, clubs and parties in the US and across Asia. Can he do it for 15 more? Music also has the power to propel.

Nic Ford moved to Vietnam from the UK around 10 years ago, and has been running and featuring on lineups of parties throughout the region since then. He has been a resident of The Observatory since it first opened in 2013. Honing his skills since the mid-nineties, he held his first residency at Dry 201 in Manchester and is a voracious collector of a vast array of music. He’s also a highly acclaimed producer, being one half of MadderModes, a production outfit that has releases on a range of impressive labels including DRED, Voodoo Down Records and Millions of Moments.

Bringing diversity to the decks as an avid dancer, organizer and DJ, Park Lee (Giang Bac) is a Vietnamese-mixed Korean who grew up in Ho Chi Minh City. Having spent some years away, Park was only inspired to start DJ-ing once he had relocated back to his home, where he found himself developing alongside the city’s burgeoning music scene.Park started off through playing at small house parties, and quickly grew into a regular in the local scene. This led him to begin organizing events with friends, most notably the GenderFunk party series in Saigon, a breakthrough collective and pioneer in creating safe spaces for local Queer artists and community, and their own brand of creativity, musical diversity and live performance since 2018.

Based in Vietnam and born in France, Robat’s music is often a savant mix of Disco, New Beat, Breakbeat and diverse House, embellished by some big dives into deeper electronic sounds. At the age of 11 when he innocently pressed PLAY on a Miss Kittin record. Few knew that this would change his approach to music forever. The intro of dark synths and the beat slowly creeping in made his head move with a new and wonderful feeling. The unique, dark, cold and sexy voice that suddenly resonated from the track had him instantly hooked and irreversibly affected his brain and soul… For the past 15 years, he has been seen wandering in front of DJ booths of France, Belgium and Vietnam, seeking for any reminiscences of this synthesised voice’s souvenir, regardless of the genre of music. Since 2019, Robat has decided to channel the memory of this melancholy Electronic goddess and continue to share and spread her prophecy to the world through from behind the booth.....

S1cyr started his music education through classical and jazz, while being fully immersed into the 90´s golden era of Hip-Hop. His journey behind the decks started when returning to the Nam, following the path of the pioneers of the local under/over-ground. His style can be defined as raw and cosmic, minimalist and sophisticated, deep and groovy, warm and ice cold.

One of Saigon's Party freaks, cofounder of Banana Hustle, founder of Hazy Lemons, and resident DJ at WAM, Smudge is a purveyor of eclectic beats and globetrotting rhythms. Jumping across genres of Afrobeat, Latin Funk, Folkloric Deep House, Organic Techno, Ethno-Electronic, Leftfield Groove, UK Dub, and Blues from around the World. Mixing in music from West Africa, Brazil, Columbia, Turkey, The Middle East, India and more. Back in England, he ran Tropical and Chillout club nights and parties all over London with crews including Love Carnival, Total Refreshment Centre and Flamingods, The Stinking Bishop has been bringing his search for the perfect boogie to Saigon for the last 4 years, joining Saigon Dub Station, building Hazy Lemons and Banana Hustle and playing across the city and VN. Soul Jazz Funksters was created as a side project by Alan Ritchie in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2017 to have an outlet for his mixes keeping away from House, Techno and Electro which he has predominantly played since the early 90’s. It quickly took off and he started getting more gigs playing Soul, Funk, Nu Jazz, Reggae & Hip Hop than electronic gigs around the capitol city of the Kingdom of Wonder. In 2018 he moved back to his SE Asian roots country Vietnam bringing his deep soulful sounds to the bars and clubs of Nha Trang & Saigon.

A Manila born – Boracay Island based DJ who started spinning back in 2016 and since had a voice in the Philippine underground music scene. She is a Production and Graphic Designer at Area 51 Top Secret Party Facility ( A venue known for The Black Moon and Full Moon Parties that has been running for 8 years in Boracay Island, Philippines.) where she realized her musical inclination by practicing mixing during sound checks.

Steffen is born and raised in east berlin, his first touches with the materia was thru his uncle , who worked in a club called "WM 66" at the end of the 90´s. He also started to produce and playing records in clubs back then, when Techno became the new revolution of berlin. Steffen is introverted and the Half of The Sexinvaders, but he’s also deeply focused on his very new project called after his real name : Steffen Sonnenschein. His tracks stand out, due to its saturated base complimented with matured deep beats. This transcendence between techno and deep house creates an individuating innovating style.

Originally from Sydney, Australia and based in HCMC, Việt Nam since 2013 . Tristyan is the Co-Owner / Resident DJ of The Lighthouse Saigon, Vitamin D After Party at Broma: Not A Bar and PlusONE Creative Community. Since being based in HCMC Tristyan has been DJing, promoting & running events in the local scene since 2014 and has held residencies at some of Saigon's most known and respected and unrespected locations. Known for his sometimes marathon 18 hour sets and eclectic range of musical styles, and influences. His versatility, and sometimes quirky, left of center tastes has enabled him to bring a fresh and unique flavor to all his sets.

Huy Truong, 20 year old, the youngest member and most promising young DJ Haustek Agency has been blessed to encounter so far. Formerly known as TDropz as a Trap, Bass DJ, Huy Truong managed to get in most of the best DJ booths in Saigon. Not happy enough with that, he now decided to dedicate himself to House, Techno and the wonderful world of underground Trance music. Youssef The fresh faced Moroccan has been developing his style fast, always ready to throw down. Traveling through time and space, moods and cultures. He may begin with you in the far East and wrap up with the sounds of Berlin. Charismatic. His ear for intricate beats that move the room has helped vastly as he's been finding himself as a DJ, after offering huge support of the music scene in Vietnam with endeavors such as Sacred hill festival, HANYA NIGHT, and Electric Bazaar, as well as being instrumental in the growth of the collaborative outfit Sacred Sounds.

Wyad is a " Berlin Original" born and raised. Starting out, producing music in the early 2000's, he made it the classical way from Hip Hop to Techno. He combines art in the pure forms he loves, in photography and music, in all it's light and all it's darkness. His latest work the double sided "Dark Stars Rising" EP, is a collaboration with his friend, studio sharer and CODE IS LAW labelboss MØRBECK. Under his wings he produces and releases all of his music. MØRBECK himself played venues and clubs all over the world, from Moscow to Japan. Wyad's sound is spherical, uplifting and downstroking, deep and sublime.

Growing up in a family where Chicago House was used for aerobic sessions, Youss has been an electronic music fan since the age of 7 when he listened to his first house music track. It’s easy to say that the energy he felt when he got into a club for the first time has locked him to the dance floor ever since, and he’s not willing to leave any time soon. Considering a set to be a story built between a crowd and a DJ, Youss likes twists and turns where genres and energies subtly switch from one another creating a harmonious contrast of sounds.

Newcomer to the Saigon club scene, Liverpool born DJ ‘Zak’ has a style that reflects his many years of partying in the crowds across Europe’s dance floors. He arrived in the city 6 months ago and has been playing regular slots at WAM, as well as being invited to play for the Mogra Radio crew for one of their live recordings. Drawing on influences from Romanian groove merchants like Arapu and Sublee, his style is stripped back, groovy, minimal house music that’s guaranteed to get you moving.
