Simon Green aka Bonobo is back with his sixth album – the masterful, magisterial “Migration” – is a record which cements his place in the very highest echelons of electronic music and beyond. FJAAK, the Berlin-based duo of hardware heads, have been constantly making a name for themselves over the last half a decade. Having grown up together in Spandau on the outskirts of Berlin, Felix Wagner and Aaron Röbig began quite early to create all different kinds of music before ending up taking on the city’s heritage – techno – to make it their own.

Curtis Alan Jones has a laundry list of monikers he has gone by since his first appearance in the dance music scene in 1991. However, he is best known as Green Velvet and Cajmere. Inspired by the house music craze in the 80s, Jones picked himself up a keyboard, 4-track, and drum machine to try his hand at making music. It turned out he had a knack for it and in 1991, under Cajmere, he began releasing music. In 1992, he started his own label, Cajual Records, and released “Brighter Days”, a collaboration with superstar dance music singer, Dajae. The song hit number 2 on  the Billboard Dance Music Charts. Modern-day publications like Rolling Stone and MixMag have included the single on their lists detailing the best house tracks to date. In ‘95, under the name Green Velvet and on his new label Relief Records, Jones released another single “Flash” that too, skyrocketed to the top of the charts. He continued to produce bangers, putting out albums under the name Green Velvet.

Techno is often misconstrued, misquoted, and mishandled by outsiders, so for Detroit-based producer and visual artist Huey Mnemonic, protecting its legacy has become a pursuit. Growing up in Flint, Michigan, he inherited his education on funk, techno, house, and more from his parents and grandparents, sparking his obsession with sound as a youth. In his early teens, he experimented with PC software, honing his craft for almost a decade before deciding to unleash his own creations on the world. Channeling Sci-fi, technology, and the Black American experience into his work, his mission is to both preserve and add to the rich lineage of his region’s homegrown sonic culture.

27-year-old Ida Engberg started DJing hip hop and soul aged 14 after a boyfriend showed her how to mix, but she says “I had absolutely no plans on becoming a DJ, I just saw it as a new way to listen to and interact with music and I loved it!” But fate had other plans – while at a friend’s bar aged 18 his regular DJ called in sick. Ida talked her way onto the decks on the proviso that if it wasn’t working after half an hour she’d get off again – by the time she’d finished playing she’d secured her first weekly residence. “I was probably a terrible DJ” she says modestly, “but he loved the music so he booked me every Friday. At this time I was playing lounge music, ambient and soulful house.”,Ida honed her mixing skills and bagged her second residency through more fortuitous timing – working as a host at a big nightclub, Spy Bar, she stepped in for the errant resident DJ who’d had a skinful and promptly disappeared, leaving the dancefloor in silence. The owner immediately changed her job description to DJ, and put her in the main room, kicking off her DJ career proper. “I guess it was there it really started” says Ida. “I was playing house, tribal and electro and I really loved every second of it! I kept my residency there for two and a half years until I decided I wanted to spread my wings a bit.”,A move to Marbella brought 8 months of club gigs, followed by a season in Ibiza which inspired Ida musically like no other place. “I had fallen deeply in love with the minimal techno sound so it was perfect at the time. In Ibiza I met so many people who shared the same dream- To be working with music.” “I was playing in bars and smaller clubs and in afterhour parties. Everywhere I went it was people with the same passion for music as I had.” At the end of the season, Ida returned to Stockholm landing a top residency at Cocktail Club, the best underground club in Stockholm. “My first gig was a warm up for Eric Prydz and after that I did warm ups for everyone from Damian Lazarus, Mandy, Anja Schneider and Jennifer Cardini to Roger Sanchez and Steve Angello. “Stockholm is a great platform for electronic music. There are so many great producers and DJs living here and people really support each other.”,Although DJing is her first love, it was only a matter of time before Ida tried her hand at production. Her first effort was the massive Disco Volante – signed by John Dahlbäck to his Pickadoll label and released in 2007 with a Sebastien Leger remix it became a huge hit all over the world, featuring on compilations from Ministry of Sound, Defected in the House and Pacha Ibiza. It charted across the whole of Europe, doing especially well in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Two more tracks have followed on Get Physical and Pickadoll plus a remix for Dada Life, and Ida signed with the Plantage13 agency for international gigs. She can be found playing her brand of minimal, techno and tech house in clubs all over the world every weekend, and her love of what she does is obvious to all. Playing unplanned sets allows her to respond to the crowd, and she’s rocked parties and clubs like Miami’s Sunday School for Degenerates, Yes at Watergate in Berlin, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Melkweg in Amsterdam, Catwalk in Rotterdam and Op Art in Portugal to name a few. Lately she also took part in the Drumcode parties with Swedish companion Adam Beyer. “It’s still a musical journey, my style develops all the time and I’m always open to new impressions” says Ida. “That’s what makes it the best job in the world!”

Born to two Irish-American Detroit autoworkers/civil rights activists, Kevin Reynolds' musical ear was trained by the soundtrack to the late night drives decidedly put on the car stereo by his parents: none other than the urbane and otherworldly voice of celebrated Detroit radio dj, Electrifyin' Mojo... While his mother attended medical school at Michigan State University, Kevin and his family lived in student housing that housed families from around the globe, with neighbors blaring insistent sounds of such diverse backgrounds as Afropop, music from China's urban centers, Tejano music, and spaced melodic sounds from the Middle East. Kevin was self taught when it came to making music with machines; obsessed with being able to create the music he was being exposed to on a daily basis, he approached and helped design the first Music Technology class in his high school... Reynolds' first foray into a professional music career was a call to work at Derrick May's seminal classic label Transmat Records. Initially signed on as an audio engineer fresh out of college in the dry deserts of Arizona, Derrick saw other plans for Reynolds and pushed him to develop knowledge in all aspects of music. While at Transmat, Reynolds was given the opportunity to manage all the audio production functions of the pioneering label. Working as an engineer and tour manager of Derrick May's Hi Tech Soul band Time: Space including Aril Brikha, John Beltran, Neil Olliverra, Tony Drake, Jeremy Ellis he travelled throughout North America, Europe and Japan. Among the many projects executed during his tenure at Transmat, he also curated the official music compilation for "Movement," Detroit's 2004 electronic music festival. Kevin’s music draws hints from a wide spectrum of artists. In his music you can hear the steely mechanics of Kraftwerk, the powerful blasts of John Coltrane, the emotive synths of Carl Craig, the social commentary of A Tribe Called Quest, the rawness of Jeff Mills, and lush waves of Sergio Mendes. On record, balance is key to his music: “You must have the light with the dark, day with night, and it’s a natural balance of opposites. " Since his initial steps at Transmat, Kevin also had the opportunity to be the US tour manager for Neo Soul artist Amp Fiddler. Founding his own label, Todhchai (which translates to "future, or things to come" in Gaelic), he has composed music for Lexus of America , Blue Cross Blue Shield, Red Bull and the Mayor of Detroit. This lead to the privilege of remixing The Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Stravinsky's riotous "Rite of Spring". In 2006, Reynolds released his first record "Afrik" to critical acclaim and championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Osunlade, Jazzanova, DJ Karizma and Masters At Work. The UK's BBC Radio One dubbed Reynolds the "new sound of Detroit Techno." His live performances have been showcased at Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2001 and 2004. Most recently his live sets where noted in Resident Advisor as highlight of the Movement 2009 Detroit Festival and called "fresh, evocative deep house tunes that never stopped evolving" by littlewhiteearbuds.com Most recently, Kevin composed an original song for Microsoft Ford Sync web launch called "playit4ward.msn.com

His influence runs deep, through both adopted hometown of Detroit, and music culture as a whole: as one of the Belleville Three, the high school trio which also includes Juan Atkins and Derrick May, he irreparably changed the face of electronic music; with Inner City, he gave it some of its most memorable tunes. Saunderson’s comparatively late start as a producer – kicking off in ’87 under the moniker of Kreem, with E-Dancer and Reese two of the more well-known names to follow – inadvertently gifted him a headstart. With the eruption of house music a few hours down the I-94 in Chicago, Saunderson married Detroit’s raw sound to more tactile, pop-leaning sensibilities. As far back as the early '90s, Ricardo Villalobos began building an impressive discography of 12" releases on respected dance labels like Playhouse and Perlon, and around the turn of the decade he was one of the most revered producers and DJs in dance music. In his youth, the Chilean-born Villalobos moved with his family to Germany in order to avoid the military dictatorship of Pinochet, and he eventually fell in with the country's fertile house community. Defying effortless categorization, Maria “Ri Ri'' Garcia aka Rimarkable is a child of funk, jazz, gospel, rock and soul, and her selections as a DJ and broadcaster fuse all of these sounds “wrapped into a house and techno box”. Growing up heavily influenced by Black gospel music, her mother a classically trained pianist and music minister in a Pentecostal church, Rimarkable’s childhood summers in Chicago also gave her an introduction to house music, during the genre’s explosive infancy. An Afro-Latina from Detroit, she’s first generation Puerto Rican, and the Afro-Caribbean sound continues to have a huge impact on her sonic leanings, alongside the unmistakable ear training of the city’s techno legacy. Rimarkable started professionally DJing in 1997, first doing private events and then clubs in the early 2000s. She’s since played around the world alongside the likes of George Clinton, Francois K, Bonobo and Gene Farris. She started producing in 2006, after she grew tired of male producers either not understanding how she wanted to sound, or luring her into the studio to hang out, then asking her to freestyle on the mic, while hitting ‘record’ and releasing music without her consent. Her first release as a producer was in 2011 on E-man's Liberate Recordings label, a track called "Peace Lives Here" ft. Valerie Troutt. A multi-hyphenate musician who has found various creative outlets over the years, Rimarkable believes in DJing and producing as a spiritual practice, exploring alchemy through the DJ art form as well as African spiritualism, healing, mental health and self-care. It’s a philosophy that eventually manifested as a lecture and classroom series called ‘The Alchemy of DJing’, a means for her to creatively engage in social justice, and empower women and youth. With close ties to, and allies with Underground Resistance, Scan 7 have canvassed the word of techno worldwide, and the collective are to be counted as a force within the transgressional wave of Detroit artists that navigated the US-European divide to create a historical axis with Berlin. Delivering Tresor two influential albums in Dark Territory (1996) and Resurfaced (1999) Scan 7 concurrently remain a vital proponent in maintaining techno music’s core values, representing the genre’s formation, foundation and Afro-American origins. Stephan Bodzin has been a hugely influential figure within the global techno scene for years. The reason the German has endured where many had fallen by the wayside is because of his devotion to authenticity. “Without it, everything would appear to be nothing more than a hollow shell,” says the son of an experimental musician who is now a revered talent in his own right. After starting out by composing music for several prestigious European theatres, Stephan Bodzin soon fell in love with nocturnal club sounds and began producing his own brand of techno. He impressed right from the off and has gone on to work with Oliver Huntemann under myriad aliases including Rekorder or with Marc Romboy including on albums like “Luna” and more recently “Kerberos & Styx” in 2014. "A lot of DJs are switching over digital technology as a medium for their performances. I've been very reluctant to take that step. I am a vinyl DJ first and foremost, so I'll probably play records until my favorite labels stop pressing them. Mainly because I find them more reliable. I've never had a record crate crash in the middle of one of my shows and kill all of the music. Additionally, I think there's something to be said for the tradition of DJs playing old fashioned wax with analog turntables. Music from the future, made and performed with equipment from the past!"

In 1997 he and Nikolai founded the Perlon label, on which he has released under the pseudonyms Dimbiman, Pantytec (with Sammy Dee) and Narcotic Syntax (with James Dean Brown). In 1999 the SuPERLONgevity compilation was released, featuring 'Bushes', a track that has since garnered chart-topping remixes from the likes of Derrick Carter and Fatboy Slim. Having been involved in the making of Electro sounds for almost 25 years, Tommy “Tom Tom” Hamilton, Keith “K-1″ Tucker, William “POSATRONIX” Smith, and Anthony “BlakTony” Horton have just about done it all. To this day, they continue to push the boundaries by not just perfecting the mix, but also by innovating on what has previously been done. Techno Bass from the legendary Direct Beat Record Label created A sound that would soon take over the Detroit dance scene, eventually moving on to revolutionize Europe and beyond.

A founder of Ectomorph, Interdimensional Transmissions, and the No Way Back parties, musician and DJ, BMG is an underground Detroit legend. Brendan M Gillen is the founder of cult label Interdimensional Transmissions, central figure in Ectomorph, and legendary DJ and live act under his moniker BMG. His 25 year musical vision and near encyclopedic musical knowledge have led him to be one of the key figures and visionaries in contemporary dance music. His parties (most famously but not limited to No Way Back) are the greatest contemporary manifestation of the Detroit party continuum that reaches back to the parties of Plastikman, the Music Institute, Voom, and beyond. A master weaver of true psychedelic musical tapestry, BMG has a way of making the strange familiar and the familiar strange. Expect the unexpected.

I miss those days when people just created from the love of music.” When Byron The Aquarius talks about live frequencies, his enthusiasm is infectious. A keys player by trade, Byron’s love for melody and harmony has consistently drawn the attention of electronic music’s leading labels and producers. In 2015, Byron released a ten track solo album on BBE entitled “Planets of Love.” When he wasn’t working on his own music, he was playing keys in the studio with Kai Alce. These creations got into the hands of Theo Parrish, who loved the sound of his sublime jazz-infected house and picked two tracks to release on his legendary Sound Signature label in 2016. The resulting “Highlife EP” has been hailed as “stunning”, “intoxicating” and “essential.” In the years since, Byron has released a consistently high level of music on Wild Oats, Eglo records & more. In the past 3 years Byron has released three LPs, starting with his debut album “Astral Traveling” released on Mutual Intentions. The following year Byron released “Ambrosia LP” on Jeff Mills’ label Axis Records, & most recently, Byron released “The New Beginning LP” on the UK label Shall Not Fade. He has toured the planet playing festivals such as Dimensions, Dekmantel, Suncebeat, Lente Kabinet, All Points East and many more as well as a plethora of the worlds best clubs. 2022 will see the beginning of Byron’s own label TALKNOI$E Records kick-off with a five-track EP coming out in June and will be available as a limited vinyl-run along with digital release on all platforms.

Dallas based Producer/DJ Decoder is a producer who specializes in the realm of minimal and sci fi techno. He also co-runs a vinyl imprint "Toca" alongside Jay York.

Paul Fisher, otherwise known as Fisher, is an Australian music producer born in Australia in November 1986. Fisher's musical genres include house and tech house. Before his music career he was a professional surfer. Fisher started out as one half of the DJ duo Cut Snake with surfer Leigh "Sedz" Sedley. The duo formed in 2012 and released the EP's Life's a Beach in 2015, Magic in 2016, and Action Burger in 2016. Paul Fisher released the single "Losing It" in 2018 which reached #26 in Belgium, #35 in Australia, and #60 in Ireland and in the UK. The song also reached #1 on the US Dance Club Songs chart. His single "You Little Beauty" was released in 2019 and reached #41 in Australia. Fisher was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for "Losing It" at the 2019 Grammy Awards and the song finished at #2 in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2018.

Detroit native Javonntte Garrett, better known simply as Javonntte. Javonntte has been producing music and DJing since the early ’90s. Having had a love for music since he was a child growing up, he turned himself into an independent singer, songwriter, producer and even a dancer, where he once toured with Aretha Franklin’s troupe. Having collaborated with legendary producers Blake Baxter, Amp Fiddler and Andres in his formative years, Garrett has since spread his wings as a solo producer, with a steady string of releases on such labels as Traxx Underground, Quintessentials and Kai Alce’s NDATL to name a few.

DJ John Summit is a Chicago-based DJ and producer known for his deep and tech house music. He rose to prominence in the early 2010s with a string of successful releases on popular labels such as Dirtybird, Relief, and Sola. His sound is characterized by groovy basslines, soulful vocals, and a strong club-oriented vibe. He has performed at major festivals and clubs around the world and has also collaborated with other artists in the electronic dance music scene. In recent years, Summit has also gained attention for his remixes of popular songs, many of which have been widely shared on social media. He continues to push the boundaries of the genre and maintain a dedicated fanbase.

Ever since he could remember, Jon Dixon has had a passion for music. Jon began playing by ear at the age of four and has always enjoyed challenging himself by learning music in this manner. He began reading and studying classical piano at the age of 15 while enrolled at The High School For Fine and Performing Arts where he also studied Jazz with Mr. Edward Quick. Upon graduating he began performing with the Detroit Symphony Civic Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Detroit's own Godfather of jazz, the late Marcus Belgrave. While performing locally with this ensemble, he also attended Wayne State University where he studied jazz piano under Matt Michaels. As time went on, word of mouth began to spread about Dixon and his talents. While in college he accompanied The Mosaic Youth Theater of Detroit as an accompanist/bandleader for their productions and concerts as well as performed all over the city and state. Jon currently teaches multiple group piano classes at the Michigan State University Community Music School in Midtown Detroit. He has had the chance to also play for/with Chick Corea, Jeff Hamilton, Robert Hurst, Delfayo Marsalis, John Clayton, The Count Basie Orchestra, Marcus Belgrave, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Leon Ware, Eric Roberson, Dwele, Amp Fiddler and more over the past decade. Recently Dixon has been taking another approach towards music and production while currently working on various Hi-Tech Jazz projects. In 2015 Jon started an independent label, 4EVR 4WRD (Forever Forward) to focus on making electronic music fused with elements of Jazz, Hip Hop and other styles of music. "I feel that it is important for me as a musician to not only continue the rich culture and history of both jazz and electronic music but to also use my knowledge, theory and experience to combine the two and take both genres to the next level!" Jon has had the opportunity to not only lead the Underground Resistance live acts Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Timeline, but he has also performed with Interstellar Fugitives, Amp Fiddler, Jeff Mills, Mike Banks, Derrick May, Francesco Tristano, Carl Craig, Goldie and more. Dixon is one of the city's most sought-after musicians for every genre ranging from jazz to techno. He believes that the more versatile and open minded you are at your craft, the further it will take you. Jon is currently working on multiple projects that are sure to be the beginnings of a new approach and chapter in Detroit's music history.

Over the last ten years, Mark Farina has built himself up to become one of the most sought-after DJs in dance music today. Though he is mostly recognized for his deep-house DJ prowess, it is Farina’ wide-ranging musical knowledge that helped shape the Mushroom Jazz series, a continuously mixed collection of down-tempo, dance-floor jazz for the turntablist generation. A mix-tape made over eight years ago was the project’ original seed – a similarly-styled tape of jazz tunes that articulated a mellower counterpart to the up-tempo “Acid Jazz” movement of the day.,Farina’ “Mushroom Jazz” sound subsequently became popular through a long-running San Francisco club called Jazid Up, then through various Mushroom Jazz clubs thrown domestically and abroad.,Farina began his DJing career at the age of 15, inspired by the strong house and dance music scene pulsating in Chicago’ underground. Along with long time friend and DJ partner, Derrick Carter, Farina cut his teeth on the college radio airwaves of Northwestern University’ WNUR every Friday night for 2 years. Farina has released one album, Mood.,(Nettwerk UK Records, under the name Symbols and Instruments), and several other mix projects including Seasons (Domestic Records), United DJs of America (DMC) and Imperial Dub’ compilation (Imperial Dub) in addition to the Mushroom Jazz series and his mix on OM Records’ “San Francisco Sessions’” debut.

Shaun Reeves is an internationally-acclaimed DJ, producer and label owner. A founding member of the trailblazing group Visionquest, his influence reaches far beyond the cities he has called home and stretches around the globe. Growing up in Michigan and brought up musically on a diet of house and techno in nearby Detroit, Shaun moved to the city in his late teens and began organizing small club nights and loft parties with his friends. Upon getting involved in the Detroit Scene, Shaun was immediately influenced heavily by the more minimal sounds from djs/artists such as Daniel Bell, Magda and especially from Zip and the Perlon label. This influence and a search for new inspiration led Shaun to take a summer holiday to Berlin in 2004 that turned into 10 years living in the city. In this time his deft touch as a DJ won him fans on dance floors from Panorama Bar to Fabric, DC10, Robert Johnson and countless other highly influential underground clubs.
