Alongside occupying a residency with Melbourne events imprint goldhaus_melb, Ricky has featured frequently on lineups throughout Melbourne’s nightlife. Throughout his short career, Ricky has played at Let Them Eat Cake, Beyond the Valley, XE54 RIP, Glamorama, Yours & Mine, New Guernica and more recently, supported Job Jobse at Brown Alley. Whether it is mixing diverse genres of music or exploring his prized vinyl collections, Ricky is always aiming to develop, expand and exhibit his sound.

(SYD). While broadening his repertoire, Who evolved into roles that link him closer to Melbourne’s electronic music community. urrounded by music his whole life, Jack Smart draws influence from both new and old sounds for his musical production and performance. Jack’s early introduction to performance stemmed from his early experiences with the guitar, encouraging influence from timeless legends like Black Sabbath and Metallica. Following this, Jack’s exposure to artists such as Oliver Huntemann, Egbert and Ron Costa have fueled his passion for Electronic Music and DJing. With a diverse resume of bookings at venues such as Revolver Upstairs, Day Spa, Circus, Brown Alley, The Third Day and Poison, Jack’s presence in the Melbourne music scene is firmly established. As the Co-Founder of music and events firm Thunderground, Jack has further explored opportunities towards curating events and providing other artists to explore their passions. If thumping kicks, body-moving grooves and eclectic elemental sounds are what you’re looking for, Jack fits the bill.

Spaces Within Space presented by local deejay Jazz, dives deep into the intriguing underground electronic music scene. Featuring regular guest mixes and interviews, Spaces Within Space explores diverse and captivating soundscapes; from dark, experimental and industrial textures, gritty breakbeat and drum and bass, to gentle IDM, nu-wave and ambient oddities.

She has long been at the forefront of Australia’s queer dance scene, most notably as co­host of “gay ass disco”, The Outpost. Holding a strong appreciation for the sounds of Detroit techno, and Chicago’s golden house era, Marli reflects these styles in both her original productions and her DJ sets. With a history of formal music training, and years studying production, her original works have laid the foundation for her sets as a selector, frequently playing at local hotspots Dr Morse, Xe54, Section 8, Ferdydurke, and Revolver Upstairs. Thus far in her career, Marli has warmed up the decks for Detroit Swindle, Harvey Sutherland, Ben Pearce, Big Miz, Sally C, Ben Rau, and Folamour, exploring genres deep house, soul, and disco, in sets which maintain heavy syncopated rhythms, laden with rich soul samples, and a warm nostalgic vibe throughout.

First blowing a gale as a forerunner of the new wave of Melbourne dance producers, Tornado Wallace’s distinct and perceptive electronics now find him in a constant rotation of both hemispheres, spending most of the year based in Berlin. From formative house beginnings, the ESP Institute initiation Thinking Allowed proved Tornado Wallace as a force to be reckoned with - the driving groove and Will Powers stargazing quickly matched by an EP of eco-electro burners on Beats In Space. This two timing continued for another round with ESP issuing the elegant Circadia, while Beats In Space got their churning acid two-tracker Kangaroo Ground/Ferntree Gully. In tandem, krautback duo Coober Pedy University Band was formed with Otologic’s Tom Moore, who he’d previously stirred up trouble with as fractions of C Grade and Animals Dancing - two long standing parties of undeniable impact on their hometown. Their trance inducing debut on Soft Rocks' imprint Kinfolk recruited vocals from a lesser known Chet Faker, followed by the bonkers 2014 anthem Kookabura.
