It would be wrong to start talking about where Ouissam comes from – after a decade in Asia, he’s now something of a regional entity that has managed to change the dance music scene wherever he has laid down roots. His approach to a dance floor is as simple as it is intuitive and elegant: nothing that can make a room shudder with joy is barred from his selections.As the founder of Hong Kong’s Cliche Records, he was one of the first in that city to cultivate a disco-house-techno synthesis that shifted the understanding of what could be danced to there. He went on to create the magnetic Homesick and Fragrant Harbour labels, before suddenly setting his sights on Hanoi in Vietnam, where he has established the dance mecca Savage where he runs the monthly queer night Snug. And on top of all that, he found time to curate the coveted Equation festival, now entering its second year..

Momoko "Moko" Goto, better known in the DJ world as Powder, has successfully taken her neon charged creations out of the Tokyo underground and into the discerning worldwide house & techno public. After her debut on Lovefingers’ ESP Institute, Powder’s cosmic rhythms found a home on Samo DJ’s Born Free & Discodromo’s CockTail d’Amore Music, pushing her tribal-inspired, hypnotic sound further into a surreal house, techno and psychedelic disco territory. She recently ushered in a brand new mix series for Beats in Space, a further testament to her DJ skills and sensibilities. Beyond her work as a music creator, Powder’s DJing backs up her production style with many influences. As a selector, she has notably eclectic tastes, which run the gamut from house to no wave to Japanese synthpop, utilizing extended loops and subtle blends to create a genre-defying, transcendent experience.

Finsent C is an artist native to Hong Kong, who has seen his sound evolve innumerably since his initial foray into DJing in 2009. Having been a drummer and member of a local band in his formative years, he eventually sought refuge in electronic music; cultivating a sound that can best be described as fluid, and with an emphasis on the hypnotic spectrum of techno. He perceives sets as flowing journeys, which requires time, and an element of patience to achieve. His music project - Cipher, is a metaphor for his musical direction and vision – 'experiencing' parties that verge on the ritualistic, to which point they have been described as otherworldly. Artists both locally and internationally continue to be invited to express their various forms of deep, experimental and meditative sounds.

He specialises in Northern Soul, Latin, Reggae, Gospel, and Disco rarities. House Music, above all, is his first and greatest love. He is actively involved with fundraising for several LGBTQ+, human rights and social justice organisations including AllOut, Prepster, Human Dignity Trust and Refugee Community Kitchen. Hamburg native Helena Hauff is an in-demand DJ as well as an acclaimed producer of gritty, hard-edged electro-techno. Her full-length debut, 2015's Discreet Desires, contains some of her most melodic material, while 2018's Qualm is more stripped-down but no less energetic. Jonathan Kusuma is a musician, producer and DJ based in Singapore and Jakarta. Running his label and Parties Dekadenz in Jakarta, a resident DJ in Headquarters and Tuff Club in Singapore. His main releases have been under the influential music labels I’m a Cliché (Paris) (Automatone EP, 2016) and Cocktail d’Amore (Berlin) (Black Magic EP, 2016), Cocktail d’Amore 10 Anniversary Compilation 2019. Kusuma has also been released by various internationally respected labels, such as Correspondant (Berlin)'s compilations (2016 and 2017), Ene Records (Japan), Power Station (Melbourne). After all, what other DJ can lay claim to the title of Miss Teen Filipina Hawaii? How many can say that their first job in nightlife was when in high school, serving as the in-house dancer and serving rave smoothies at an all-ages club? How many, after moving to New York by way of San Francisco in the early ’00s, can say that they helped to rejuvenate the city’s then-stale nightlife via her residency at one of the best parties ever held in a hole-in-the-wall gay bar, the Mad Clams affair? How many have tasted stardom as one of the original members of the scene-making dance-music collective Hercules and Love Affair? Exactly one, and it’s Kim Ann. Known for his vigorous techno sets, Marco’s DJ repertoire also includes house, minimal, and electro. Besides, he produces with modular synthesizers and plays modular live sets. As a co-founder of the established collective, Utopia Hong Kong, Marco and his teammates have successfully nurtured the city’s ever-evolving electronic music scene through an array of parties in Hong Kong and across Asia. In the meantime, Marco has been promoting heavier techno sounds through his event series concept TRI. Featuring deep and experimental sounds, TRI assembles a series of raves verging on the edge, exploring the possibility of contemporary techno. Under alias MLCH hides Florian Mélinette, co-founder of FuFu and Hong Kong based Dj. Music lover from his boyhood, this french guy spend most of his time digging in order to drop the secret weapons and classics, switching from Chicago House to Deep atmosphere without forgetting some funky/disco tunes. Mogwaa is one of South Korea's shining stars. A producer with a vast repertoire of styles under his belt, he takes rhythmic cues from a wide palette, including jazz-funk, Latin percussion and dreamwave. His debut release on Peggy Gou's label, for instance, featured funky electro and sparkling Balearic house fit for Ibiza sunsets.

Iranian born but California based Artist/DJ Mozhgan has been honing her dark arts on the decks for quite some time. In 2011 she started "We Are Monsters," a party to develop her passion for contemporary, dark, and mysterious dance floor sounds. Mozhgan is a sonic alchemist who’s musical languages traverse between mysterious planes and wondrous vortexes. Her singular technique focuses on uncanny juxtapositions of sound that seamlessly unify and project spiritual light, creating luminous pronunciations that voyage deep into the shadowy spaces of the subconscious. As an acolyte of the acidic temple, and founder of the We are Monsters gatherings, Mozhgan fearlessly confronts the constricting limits of the status quo while simultaneously rejecting them with arcane spells that defy time and space. By projecting hypnotic sound waves that rupture the mundane, her cosmic utterances permit extraterrestrial passages that venture beyond the tranquil pathways of familiarity.

Entering its fifth year More Rice has become one of the key names in South East Asian Underground Dance Music. As a DJ and Producer Sarayu is considered as an integral player in Bangkok’s growing underground house and techno scene. His UK driven sound has taken all over the world playing venues and festivals such as Zukunft, Silbergold, Village Underground, Fabric and Feel Festival. He can be seen playing regularly at some of Bangkok’s key parties and venues such as Never Normal, De Commune, Karma, Transport and Wonderfruit Festival. Under quarantine in 2020 Sarayu released his first track on a VA compilation “Harvest Vol. 1”, under his own imprint. In 2021 he released his debut EP “Pridi 303” again, on More Rice, remixed by MR. Ho. As well as, opening More Rice Record Store, a hotspot for music lovers and vinyl diggers all over the world and launching Bangkok Community Radio. Early 2023 Sarayu released his latestl EP “Intelligent Jump Rope Music” scheduled for release on Boiled Wonderland Records, keep an eye out for more remixes and releases over the course of this year.

It’s hard to pin Sivanesh’s style down. Crafting and developing his own brand of sultry off-kilter house and groovy heads-down techno through his long-standing residency at CÉ LA VI Singapore, his sound goes above and beyond current genres and trends. At its 5th year now, the residency sees him taking charge of the world-renowned main room, playing extended DJ-sets every Sunday night. Apart from this residency, Sivanesh is a regular fixture at some of the region’s most respected venues, with regular dates at The Headquarters and Kilo Lounge in Singapore. Co-founder of Sivilian Affairs and music director for Potato Head and Kilo in Singapore, Sivanesh also holds a monthly residency on AAJA Radio in London every third Monday of the month. Sivanesh’s sound goes beyond current trends in genres. First blowing a gale as a forerunner of the new wave of Melbourne dance producers, Tornado Wallace’s distinct and perceptive electronics now find him in a constant rotation of both hemispheres, spending most of the year based in Berlin. From formative house beginnings, the ESP Institute initiation Thinking Allowed proved Tornado Wallace as a force to be reckoned with - the driving groove and Will Powers stargazing quickly matched by an EP of eco-electro burners on Beats In Space. This two timing continued for another round with ESP issuing the elegant Circadia, while Beats In Space got their churning acid two-tracker Kangaroo Ground/Ferntree Gully. In tandem, krautback duo Coober Pedy University Band was formed with Otologic’s Tom Moore, who he’d previously stirred up trouble with as fractions of C Grade and Animals Dancing - two long standing parties of undeniable impact on their hometown.
