      Dixon

      Berlin's Steffen Berkhahn, best known as Dixon, has made a major impact on the global dance music scene through his adventurous DJ sets as well as his renowned Innervisions label. While minimal techno dominated dancefloors during the 2000s, especially in Dixon's home city, he helped shift the balance back towards house music, incorporating vocals and a dramatic sensibility within a techno framework. Though he's released a few innovative mix CDs, he's gained his reputation mainly due to his DJ gigs, exhibiting his mastery of track selection as well as pacing and flow, and has become a frequent, in-demand presence at major clubs and festivals throughout the world. As a producer, he is known for remixes, edits, and collaborations rather than solo compositions; he frequently makes fine-tuned edits of tracks specifically for usage in his own sets, and has crafted well-received mixes of songs by Disclosure, LCD Soundsystem, Depeche Mode, and numerous others. ~ AllMusic

      MACEO PLEX

      Spain-based producer Eric Estornel initially reserved the name Maceo Plex for his festival-friendly house productions before gradually taking the project into a darker, more introspective direction. After establishing himself in the techno world for his work as Maetrik beginning in the early 2000s, and exploring more abstract electro and IDM as Mariel Ito around the middle of the decade, he began releasing some of his most accessible tracks under the Maceo Plex handle starting in 2009. Over the course of the following decade, the project evolved from deep, sexy house with prominent Chicago and Detroit influences (such as on debut full-length Life Index) to a significantly more dramatic sound (particularly the ambitious Solar). In addition to releasing singles and full-lengths on well-regarded labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Kompakt, and Minus, Maceo Plex has mixed volumes of the DJ-Kicks and Fabric series. ~ AllMusic

      Nina Kraviz

      Nina Kraviz is one of techno’s most iconic DJs. Famous for both her dynamic and varied DJ sets, captivating performances and her acclaimed label трип (Trip), she’s been a techno powerhouse since she launched on the scene in 2009. In 2020, she played a series of live stream events and virtual festivals including an empty Dance Arena at EXIT and even on top of Mount Olympus in Greece. She also collaborated with streaming giants Spotify when she was chosen to be part of their trackID series, providing a regularly updated playlist to the platform that includes tracks from her own label as well as a diverse collection of releases from across multiple genres. That genre-hopping is also evident in her sets, where trance, techno, ambient and hardstyle can all be heard in one swoop, with her inimitable presence in the booth adding to the allure of Kraviz’s sets.
