    MAX DAVIS
    With a sound born in Mannheim, developed in Frankfurt and refined in Berlin, German DJ Max Davis began his career in 2011. A recognized face at clubs such as Parker Lewis, Loft Club, Hafan 49 and Four Knox. Following his move to Berlin in 2017, the unique underground music scene has played a role in sharpening his sound. Max Davis performed at venues such as Hoppetosse, Chalet and Minimal Bar. His DJ-sets incorporate techno and house music with minimal and breakbeat while continuing to experiment with sounds he discovers.

    Music has always been a huge part of Douglas Black’s life: first as an avid listener of breakbeat, progressive house, and other electronic music for over 20 years, and now as a DJ and co-founder of Electric Mirage. With musical influences including a wide range of artists such as Way Out West, Shiloh, James Zabiela, Underworld, Dirtyloud, Sasha, Above & Beyond, Infected Mushroom, BT, and Envotion, Douglas’s sets journey through genre and time while keeping a driving, soulful edge.

      Social Room is a loft-style, multi-functional flexible 2100 sq. ft. event space in Central, Hong Kong, ideally located next to the Central Escalator. We serve light lunch from M-F and have regular resident DJs playing until late on weekends. From the crew behind Bassment, one of Hong Kong's most beloved spaces for underground music, comes a new concept designed to expand and enhance the underground experience. The Social Room, perched above the Stanley St. market in Central, has two distinct but conjoined areas: a relaxed bar area with seating, harking back to the outdoor terrace at Bassment; and a large dancefloor area with a raised stage and DJ booth. With an improved soundsystem, double the floor space, and a third floor view, we will continue to bring the vibe of Bassment to Hong Kong in a brand new space. In addition to acting as a home for underground DJs and bands, the open space is also available to rent for corporate and private events, pop-up events, and art exhibitions. Lunch is also served during the week from Monday to Friday, 12pm - 3pm, with affordable pasta lunch sets and other goodies.
