  • DJ JNETT

Inarguably the don of house music in Australia, Janette Pitruzzello aka DJ JNETT has brought heat to Melbourne’s music culture since the early 90s, with an inimitable underground sound that truly defies any categorization. Her boundless crates of wax & supreme turntable technique spans through a galactic wormhole of house, techno, funk, soul, disco, dub, reggae, afro, brasilian and hip hop with a kid gloved finesse like no other, winning over the broadest of audiences every time. With heavyweight knowledge, an undisputed love for music, and an ear-to-ear that hits just as hard as her selections, Janette continuously leaves dance floors hugging, smiling and sweating. She’s warmed up crowds for the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Larry Heard AKA Mr Fingers, Theo Parrish, Moodymann, Danny Krivit, Peven Everett, Sadar Bahar, St Germain & Floating Points – and boy, will they tell you about the time they got to kick it with DJ JNETT.

  • Makeda

As a musician, DJ and multi-disciplinary experimentalist, MAKEDA’s work sketches a svelte aural palette, and involves stony-faced demands for a post-capitalist world. Recurring through each project, Makeda pairs left-field electronic alongside socio-political criticism. Her first EP, LIFETRAP is out now via Nice Music. ALL DAY BREAKFAST ENTERPRISES is a now defunct label and project centered around music experimentation, and has traded in indecision since late 2011.

  • Peggy Gou

Peggy Gou is a South Korean-born DJ and producer based in Berlin. During the 2010s, she became internationally renowned for energetic DJ sets, which dreamily flow through various styles of techno, house, and electro. Her own tracks, such as the acclaimed 2018 single "It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)," are vibrant, joyous productions that echo vintage deep house and post-disco without sounding like a throwback. ~

  • Piknic Électronik is proud to announce its full program for their sixth season in Melbourne, Australia. This upcoming summer, Piknic Électronik will host 5 events starting on Sunday 17th November until Sunday 29th March 2020. The party will go from what was previously a weekly event to a jam packed once a month Sunday program, making it a great option for fans of the series. The lineup for season 6 includes the return of the 10,000 person previously attended Carl & Eric’s Mobile Disco X Piknic Electronik collaboration... In November Carl Cox & Eric Powell bring their unique disco themed party to the bowl again, and tickets for this one are already on final release! December’s Piknic will be bringing the soul with Detroit purveyor Moodymann. Moodymann’s sound is a hybrid form of techno/house dance music arrived at via innovative use of reworked riffs, samples and grooves. Co-headlining will be the “Michaelangelo” of dance music Mr. G - an old master both literally and figuratively. In your chest and in your soul is where you can feel Mr.G. He is a genuine connection to the old school that epitomises the sense of authenticity that an often-shallow modern scene so desperately craves. Joining them will be UR’s John Jammin Collins. January headliner is a Melbourne favourite Nastia, who is arguably one of the biggest current names on the international techno circuit. Her infectious aura and groove will make you want to dance-non-stop. “My aim is to see as many people as possible on the dancefloor and to dance with them, leading the mood with what unites us all -music. I am what I do.” Another favourite Melbourne gal, Laura King will be on support! In February, Piknic Melbourne friends Thick as Thieves will once again co-present a key date of our season, this time featuring the popular Cologne duo Andhim - their sound, which they self describe as “Super House” has become its very own genre built from their soul and passion. Thick as Thieves have curated the lineup for this day which also includes Melbourne fave Boogs who will revisit the Piknic stage for his 4th year in a row, along with Brian Fantana and BINI. For the finale party in March you can expect some big unannounced surprises. Stay tuned!!
