This Friday 26 May, Hong Kong's modular synthesizer superhub Animato Audio welcomes some of most exciting live acts and DJs from the city for its TONAL series: JVSY, Biting Eye, Ambient Communication and JFÜNG.
JVSY is the versatile duo of Burn and Atlas, whose wide-ranging live sets are always explosive and emotive. This time they have promised us some darker techno.
Biting Eye is the Australian synthesizer showman who has been touring for two decades, offering up his unique brand of acid house and TB-303 based dance music to festivals and clubs around the world.
Ambient Communication is a homegrown pair of budding synthesizer wizards, whose live sets and recorded music venture into the more cosmic and abstract corners of electronica.
JFÜNG is the boss of Dark Metaz, the rave party famed for a darker brand of bass music. His DJ sets will open the night at 8pm and also close the party sometime after midnight.
By day Animato Audio is a music store offering modular synthesizers and other electronic music instruments. By night it becomes a totally unique venue boasting a Funktion One soundsystem, an LED wall with live audio-reactive visuals and complete stage lighting.
