The Hong Kong Community Radio Station is releasing a debut album as part of their 2021 annual fundraiser.

As an independent record station that relies on internal funding and artist support for their programming, it’s no easy feat to keep going. This year marks their fifth-year anniversary, and they are still going strong with over 700 live radio shows that spans live recorded shows and guest appearances from travelling artists.

Released on 7 May 2021, the album features tracks from the radio hosts and its affiliates across the various genres and diverse music tastes, reflecting the ethos of the station to build bridges amongst the underground music scene. The compilation album also shines light on upcoming local artists like Cheng Daoyuan, Sunshine Vendatta, and more.

Proceeds from the compilation goes towards supporting the station through the maintenance of its website to enhance the listening experience, as well as finding the next studio for live recordings.
