Sustainable Platform Space Available Teases Vinyl Record Box Made From Recycled Material

by | News

Bali-based design collective Space Available is now venturing further into the music space with more gear for music buffs. Their latest product launch is a record box that can be used to store vinyls at home or even to easily tote around.

Space Available previously collaborated with Peggy Gou releasing a Limited Edition Chair Made From 100% Recycled Plastic

First teased on Instagram, the blue-and-white swirls box opens at the top. You can strap it up and tote it around with the handle fasted to the top.

The box case is made from plastic waste rescued from the landfills and oceans in Indonesia. While stockists details have not been released, although Space Available has said that the box can be purchased at SA Gallery in Bali and on online global stockists platforms.

Just like every one of their products, the Vinyl Record Box will only be made in extremely limited numbers, making it a rare collectible for music enthusiasts who are looking to practice a more radical recycling living.

The vinyl storage box follows a similarly designed chair that Space Available dropped in collaboration with Peggy Gou last month, which will be arriving soon on online shopping portal Mr. Porter. The chair is made from 100% recycled plastic waste and is big enough to store a vinyl in the base.

Space Available is led by former Potato Head creative Director Dan Mitchell, who has built a community of artists, environment advocates and designers to connect the dots between nature, design, culture and the future from Bali. Their shared goal of ‘Making Space For A Sustainable Future’ has been spearheading their efforts in radical recycling.

The Recycled Plastic Record Box is made in extremely limited numbers and will be available at a number of global stockists and the SA Gallery in Bali soon.
