Inspired by a desire to promote melodic driven underground music and artists to the lesser exposed cities in Asia; Simtub and Mark Yip created the After Dark series of mix sessions in the summer of 2016.
Growing up in the UK during the heydays of the hacienda movement in Northern England and amidst the rise of the underground Rave scenes, both residents were highly influenced by the sound of that era. It led them to express and share a deep emotive connection to the edgier side of electronic music including Techno, Deep House, Progressive, Melodic and Leftfield genres. Ultimately the desire to play out to crowds and move people with music led them to take up DJing and promoting.
