Born, raised and living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Romel has been inspired by a melting pot of culture from his home. A nation consisting of 122 plus nationalities has no shortage of places to look for creativity. Yet, there has always been one defining subject that has mentally stimulated Ahmed which is present in his music today, and that is, the concept of melody. From a young age he could be heard humming tunes and listening to everything in his grasp; and from his youth onward, Ahmed has been fascinated with music, not just as an avid listener, but as an analyst, reconstructing tracks and always thinking of how to modify and create music. He always longed to find his ideal genre of music, something intricate and focused in on melody and rhythm, without vocals, emotionally driven, and that would soon be trance music for him.

We met and tried to do one track together, and we’ve continued on since then.”,A year later, Erez and Duvdev started buying equipment and began to take Infected Mushroom – a name they stole from a disbanded local punk band – seriously. Finding little influence in Israel’s music scene, they drew inspiration from bands like Metallica and The Prodigy. Early productions led to club dates and gigs at local parties. Before long, the twosome had developed quite a loyal following. While the headlines were filled with news about violence and bloodshed, Infected Mushroom’s music touched the hearts of the burgeoning Israeli trance scene, and clubbers began looking to the band’s music for a respite from the tumultuous political situation.,“People were dying and the government saw that dealing with that as more important than abolishing trance parties,” says Erez. “And now the government is supporting trance parties. They want people to party, instead of staying home. There are places in the United States that you cannot go to because it is too dangerous because there are crazy people living there. It’s the same thing in Israel.”,Brandishing a multi-influenced trance sound that hadn’t been heard before, Erez and Duvdev were turned down by nearly every record label in Israel when they attempted to get a deal. “Nobody wanted to sign us,” recalls Erez. “We went to the biggest and smallest labels in Israel, and nobody was interested. At the time, we really believed in our music and continued looking for people to sign us. Fortunately, there was this A&R guy from BNE named Avi Youssef [and BNE’s owner, Avi Brand] who gave us a chance.”,In 1998, BNE released Infected Mushroom’s debut album, The Gathering. Inspired by the surreal ambient styles of Simon Posford, X-Dream and Transwave, it took a few months for the forward-thinking album to catch on. But once it did, the buzz within the global psy-trance scene became deafening.,The group’s second album, Classical Mushroom, was released in 2000. “This album was totally different that the first album,” says Duvdev, who, like Erez, is a classically trained musician. “Not only did we expand our style, but the album was big in Europe and Japan. It sounded totally different that the other trance music that was happening at the time.”,“The trance scene at the time was really monotonic as opposed to melodic with chords,” adds Erez. “We put a lot of classical elements into that album; it sounded different, and that’s why it stood out. At the beginning, nobody believed in that one as well.”,Infected Mushroom’s third album, B.P. Empire, followed in 2001. The combination of their live show and diverse electronic palette eventually won them the support of critics and a new legion of hardcore fans in North and South America. In 2003, Infected Mushroom issued their sprawling double-disc album, Converting Vegetarians. Perhaps one of their most ambitious recordings to date, Converting Vegetarians was a sonic departure away from trance. Leading the listener through trance, freestyle and ambient sounds, the album paved the way for 2004’s I’m The Supervisor.,“After we made the chilled-out non-danceable side to Converting Vegetarians, we wanted to make something for the trance fans that was danceable and full-on,” says Duvdev of I’m The Supervisor. “This album is trance, except for the last track. There’s more singing, and it’s the most difficult thing we’ve done. Using the voice as an instrument is tough to do. We’re like every band in that we’re trying to search for something new with every album.”,Always one step of their audience, Infected Mushroom are constantly pushing themselves. With fame and success in their homeland and in the global electronic music community, Infected Mushroom threw caution to the wind and relocated to Los Angeles in January 2005. The purpose was to take themselves out of their comfort zone in order to take their music to the next level.,“The weather is a lot like Israel’s,” says Erez, “and we still don’t know the city very well. US producer and musician Niles Hollowell, otherwise known as Dhar or KSHMR, makes electro-house, hard dance and psytrance coalface music with big releases on Spinnin’, Controversia and his own Dharma imprint. Dharma also put out his sparkling rework of MGMT’s 2007 hit ‘Kids’ with MKLA and was also home to releases from David Flix, Reid Stefan & Karra, along with KSHMR’s collab with Timmy Trumpet and 22Bullets, the dystopian stomp of ‘Everybody In The Party’ featuring Ghost. KSHMR and Mr Trumpet also collaborated on the epic hard dance of ‘The Prayer’ with Zafir too. Aside from his releases, KSHMR also launched his Dharma Studios website this year which hosts samples and tutorials from KSHMR and the rest of the Dharma team. And in what’s clearly been a productive year, he’s also been working on his debut album and unveiled his brand new project Dreamz with the huge mid-tempo banger ‘Casual’ featuring NEVVE.

Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll aka Kygo is a Norwegian DJ and record producer who has a reported net worth of $25 million, and he isn't even 30 yet. Made up of Gavin Harris and Nick Hill, formerly and respectively known to the world of drum & bass as Xample and Lomax, this duo has surpassed the highest expectations in recent years by fusing their individual styles and creating a pioneering sound that imbues club dance floors, iPods and huge festival arenas with incredible energy and impeccable musical precision. Loadstar’s individual parts met while Bristol-born Gavin was studying sociology at Liverpool University and self-admittedly spending more time concentrating on writing and promoting music than attending lectures and writing essays. It was while promoting a local D&B night with a friend that Gavin booked Holdtight, a production outfit that Nick was one-third of at the time. Not long after that initial meeting, Gavin returned home to Bristol from University and bumped into Nick, who had also just moved to town. The rest, as they say, was history.

Based in Düsseldorf, Germany, Loco Dice is a house DJ/producer with minimal leanings who is affiliated with labels including Four:Twenty Recordings, Ovum Recordings, Cocoon Recordings, M_nus, and Cadenza, as well as the label he founded with production partner Martin Buttrich, Desolat. Born Yassine Ben Achour in Tunisia, he began his career in the early '90s as a rap MC/DJ named Dice'C. As such, he experienced some modest success in his German homeland, for instance releasing the 12" EP Coming from D-Town (1996) on Flavour Records and opening for big-name rap/R&B performers such as Snoop Dogg and Usher. In time he switched from rap to house music and changed his name to Loco Dice in the process. Hailing from the DC Metro Area, Luke Andy is one of the brightest young stars in electronic music. After only three years of producing and DJing, Luke has already played some of the best venues and festivals in the world, and has an array of collaborations with established producers. After gaining support from artists like Ardalan, Shiba San and Claude Vonstroke, Luke moved to California to pursue his music career. His unique blend of influences include underground hip hop, brazilian bass, and tech house, making him quite the powerhouse in the scene.

Spain-based producer Eric Estornel initially reserved the name Maceo Plex for his festival-friendly house productions before gradually taking the project into a darker, more introspective direction. After establishing himself in the techno world for his work as Maetrik beginning in the early 2000s, and exploring more abstract electro and IDM as Mariel Ito around the middle of the decade, he began releasing some of his most accessible tracks under the Maceo Plex handle starting in 2009. Over the course of the following decade, the project evolved from deep, sexy house with prominent Chicago and Detroit influences (such as on debut full-length Life Index) to a significantly more dramatic sound (particularly the ambitious Solar). The pseudonym of Dutch producer Mark van der Schoot (30), Maduk first came to prominence via the YouTube channel Liquicity Drum & Bass in 2011. Van der Schoot had started producing just a year before and had given his friend Maris Goudzwaard -- who ran Liquicity -- a copy of the track "Avalon" which was promptly uploaded. The liquid drum & bass sound was the perfect fit for the burgeoning channel and was released on their new label of the same name. Joining forces with Goudzwaard in 2013 to setup the label and their Amsterdam-based club nights, Van der Schoot continued to release on Liquicity and multiple other labels. With his brand of Drum & Bass becoming popular and winning both best newcomer DJ and Producer at the Drum&Bass Awards 2014 & 2015, Maduk released his debut album "Never Give Up” on U.K.-based label Hospital Records in 2016.

 In June 2020, Mathame launch ‘Never Give Up’ remixes and invite worldwide class artist to remake their incredible single such as Diplo, Lost Frequencies, ZHU, Adriatique and Vril. Following this, Mathame return the favor with a remix of ZHU’s September single, “Risky Business.”

Before they were called Meduza, Luke Degree (aka Luca de Gregorio), Matt Madwill (aka Mattia Vitale), and Simon de Jano (aka Simone Giani) began working together as a production team around 2014. The friends were all active as DJs, electronic musicians, and producers and joined forces first to make rap instrumentals and collaborate on various tracks. After a few years of casual work, they settled on a house-influenced sound and began working on new music in that style as Meduza in 2018. Ironically, given the fact that they've got “Tactics” in their name, Mob Tactics came about quite by chance. Mark was producing as The Funktion, and Luke, in his role as label manager for RUN DNB, liked what he heard and signed some of his tracks. It became apparent that Mark and Luke's taste in music was ridiculously similar and, over the course of a few weekends, they decided to get in each others studios and see what happened. What happened was “Gunjack” & “Stick-up Kid”, two tunes which would go on to be supported by some of the biggest deejays in the business, and become the first Mob Tactics release. That was back in 2010 and, in the intervening years, these two have seemingly never let the momentum drop for a moment.

Rezz is the moniker of Isabelle Rezazadeh, a Canadian DJ/producer from Niagara Falls, Ontario known for her moody, dark-hued production style. The producer and DJ who was once fortunate enough to have his finger on the pulse on the birth of the dubstep/riddim genre from its earliest stages appropriately enough became responsible for the invention of a highly unique DJing style within the genre itself called “chopping;” a style that couples perfectly with his high octane stage presence, resulting in an adrenaline fueled remix or mashup of sorts between two tracks - a technique that many dubstep DJs have since adopted for use during their own live sets. A style that has since earned him the fitting nickname of Shiverz “Da Butcher.”

Timothy Jude Smith, the Australian DJ, producer and musician better known as Timmy Trumpet has finally cracked the top ten in 2020’s Top 100 DJs poll. He's been on an upward trajectory for a few years now, steadily moving up each year from No.75 in 2016 to this year’s top ten rankings. In that time, he’s become infamous for his full-on, no-holds-barred performances, high-energy delivery and of course for his live trumpet skills – he’s actually an accomplished musician who has been playing his instrument since he was four and was Australian Young Musician of the Year at the age of 13.

First debuting in 2014, Los Angeles bass producer Tsuruda is a classically trained musician who blends experimental hip-hop with avant-garde electronics. Today, he stands at the upper echelon of bass music culture with one of the most impressive bodies of work in independent electronic music. Tsuruda has self-released four full-length projects — ‘drumsand,’ ‘madness,’ ‘rawflavor’ and ‘RIP’ — in addition to his two-part compilation series, ‘Internet Slaps Vol. 1’ and ‘Internet Slaps Vol. 2.’ His discography includes singles on labels like Team Supreme, Darker Than Wax and 1985 Music, plus remixes for Noisia, The Glitch Mob and more.

Anton Zaslavski, known professionally as Zedd, is a Russian-born German DJ, record producer and songwriter. Grammy-winning electronic producer Zedd is known for dynamic, electro-house tracks and a glitchy, pulsing production style. He first broke through in 2010 with a remix of Skrillex's "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" before parlaying that buzz into mainstream success with his 2012 album debut, Clarity. ZHU is the mysterious Chinese-American artist behind the 2014 hit single “Faded”. His real name is Steven Zhu and he was born in 1989 in Los Angeles, California. Although he released his first single anonymously in 2014, it wasn’t until 2015 that ZHU revealed himself as the mastermind behind the project. Over the years, he has become one of the most prolific electronic music producers in the world. ZHU’s career began with his self-titled debut album in 2014. The album featured several hit singles such as “Faded”, “Stay Closer” and “Working for It”. Since then, he has released four more albums: Ringos Desert (2016), Generationwhy (2016), Stardustexhalemarrakechdreams (2017) and RINGOS BACK (2019). He has also collaborated with many notable artists such as Tame Impala, KAYTRANADA, Skrillex, and Nero.
