Anh Vy is one of the youngest Djs in the Saigon underground scene and one of The Observatory’s newest residents. He's recognised by the versatility and flexibility in music. He was one of the resident DJs of former Upper Saigon. As time goes by, he is making himself into an interesting and promising piece of Saigon’s underground scene as an artist and a contributor with his very own uniqueness.

Bringing diversity to the decks as an avid dancer, organizer and DJ, Park Lee (Giang Bac) is a Vietnamese-mixed Korean who grew up in Ho Chi Minh City. Having spent some years away, Park was only inspired to start DJ-ing once he had relocated back to his home, where he found himself developing alongside the city’s burgeoning music scene.Park started off through playing at small house parties, and quickly grew into a regular in the local scene. This led him to begin organizing events with friends, most notably the GenderFunk party series in Saigon, a breakthrough collective and pioneer in creating safe spaces for local Queer artists and community, and their own brand of creativity, musical diversity and live performance since 2018.

Di Linh is a young artist from Vietnam. Since she began the musical path, she has been making her mark by the diverse and colorful music selection. She is a part of Hanoi Underground Movement (HUM) and resident DJ at Savage. Till this day, Di Linh often plays in familiar places like Savage, Kobala, Smack Dab,... through local events HUM, Snug, SBD, This is, Guinguette, Unuzual and Quest, Duality, Recess, Studio Adventure, Epizode Festival. Besides, her name also appears the same night with well-known artists such as Lauer, Red Rack’em, Local Suicide, Haruka, Omer, Curses and many more around the world in Epizode. And the highlight of her music career was her performance in HUM Showcase (Epizode) with Marco Yanes, which also mentioned in the official review from Data Transmission. Each space gives her different inspirations, Di Linh is always looking and developing herself to give the audiences a fresh feeling, while still retaining her own unique color. She knows how to lead the audiences' emotions...

Nic Ford moved to Vietnam from the UK around 10 years ago, and has been running and featuring on lineups of parties throughout the region since then. He has been a resident of The Observatory since it first opened in 2013. Honing his skills since the mid-nineties, he held his first residency at Dry 201 in Manchester and is a voracious collector of a vast array of music. He’s also a highly acclaimed producer, being one half of MadderModes, a production outfit that has releases on a range of impressive labels including DRED, Voodoo Down Records and Millions of Moments.

After having plunged into the depths of Saigon underground scene, Vynnibal moved behind the decks to bring her unique goofy, banging yet delicate sound to the aerial life. Despite her tender soul, Vynnibal is not afraid to explore unchartered territories, drive the crowd to unexpected places, mix feelings as she blends liquid emotions into multi-versed musical sets. With Vynnibal, expect the odd and the sparkly, the quirky and the severe, the kisses and the kicks. She is also behind “The Crisis” parties and regularly brings new acts and people together, contributing with passion to turning Saigon into a regional techno powerhouse.

One of The Observatory residents, Kin’s approach to his sets is intelligent, sensual and constantly evolving. Through his carefully chosen selections, he crafts a sonic flow that careens through the gaps between the physical and emotional. He slowly disarms and relaxes his dance floor while heightening its awareness with tracks from the more shadowy sides of house and delicate frequencies of techno. His dance floor can also be frequently surprised by licks of disco and other unexpected delicacies.

A long-time record collector and connoisseur of jazz funk, disco, afro, reggae and other hidden rarities, Datodeo moved his vinyl to Vietnam from his native France and has since spent most of his spare time spinning around Saigon and the region. He also runs the Vietnam Loves Vinyl online community and worked on the Saigon SuperSound Compilation with Jan Hagenkoetter. Datodeo’s sets are rich explorations of hidden corners of the dance universe, from rare deep house cuts and lost disco and Afro gems to jazz funk movements and contemporary electronic twists. Party music at its purest and most complete, the sound he presents demands to be soaked in and danced to.

Hibiya Line is not Japanese. Behind that name hides Dan, a Swiss-Vietnamese guy who in 2006 began playing live acts mixing beats, house and techno in his hometown of Lausanne, Switzerland with two friends. They quickly made a name for themselves were invited to play in some of the most prestigious clubs and festivals around the country such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Paleo, and Motel Campoto name a few. His deep immersion in the Swiss party scene eventually brought him to Saigon in 2012, and in 2013, he opened The Observatory. Since then, Hibiya Line has become known as one of the most versatile and resilient DJs in the region, with more than enough capacity and drive to take full control of dance floors from the sundown to sunrise. Janko spent a great amount of time collecting old and new records - a collection of smooth and delicate electronic gems with no restriction for style, mood or era. He nurtures a sound that is both distinctive and abstract. His musical palette encompasses a wide range of genres, moving seamlessly through - house, breaks, electro or techno . Rifain’s sound is powered by an experimentalism that twists and turns through varied genres with a consistency that cloaks it in its own unique nature. His approach is one of absorption and redefinition, elegantly mixing seemingly divergent elements to guide a dancefloor into deep, downbeat darkness or an opaque dreamscape before rousing it into primal collective movement through fresh tribal energy. All being told, his sound is hard for even him to describe, as it’s in constant flux and evolution, intuitively reflecting setting and situation and the influences that happen to be inspiring him. As its main booker and cofounder, Rifain is a key figure of Savage nightclub in Hanoi, which over the last few years has turned into a key node of Asia’s underground club circuit. Growing up in Moscow influenced by hip hop and old school love songs, Zwi finds his personal style resulting in a timeless sound that is as grimy as it is sensual. Expect a face-scrunching blend of dark and groovy from an avid digger showcasing introspective house, UKG, techno and electro. Growing up in the heart of a techno scene in Leeds in the mid-90s, Dan moved to London just to be immersed in the bass of Heart & Soul parties, followed by relationships. The system through legendary Eukotech disc performance. Before long, Dan appeared in London's finest underground parties. More recently, after moving the capital to Brighton and the famous free party setting with Positive Soundsystem and Innerfield. Barry Sunset is a founding member of cult Melbourne party, Spin Club, held monthly at the infamous Mercat Basement in Melbourne, Australia. Since it’s demolition he has gone on to create the eclectic About Love podcast, and his own Australiana fishing themed side-stage and bar at Hopkins Creek Festival - Barry’s Bait Shop. Deejaying since a young age has seen him hone his selections from countless hours behind the booth and is now a local hero treasured by the party-people of Melbourne. Now based in Hanoi, Vietnam he is producing some sneaky dancefloor edits, running his own Sunset Sounds imprint and has his sights on the dance floors of south-east Asia and beyond.

Originally from Lyon, he moved to Asia a few years ago and is now based in Hanoi. A veteran of the UK's jungle and soundsystem scene, with various releases and countless events under his belt Humb is a long term resident of Vietnam having run venues and parties in the city for many years. The development of the Hanoi scene has influenced his production style heavily, pushing him to attack new styles and to look backwards to the roots of electronic music. His sets favour high energy sounds and percussive tracks paired with a fast mixing style designed to whip dancefloors into a frenzy.

Jase is the original Bass DJ of Vietnam, he had been a pioneer of Jungle and Dubstep, Glitch Hop scene since 2007 in his native land. Jase self-taught himself the art of DJing in 2001 when he bought his 1200s. House was his first genre of choice for the first year. As Jase progressed, he found House's beat was too simple so the next genre was Nu Skool Breaks due to its popularity of it at that time in Sydney. He slowly moved toward Drum and Bass, Hip-hop and Reggae after-co founded the infamous Sydney's DNB promotional crew "Foreigndub" which made numerous successful parties bringing international DJs including DJ Marky and Stamina MC, Big Bud, DJ Patife & MC Cleveland Watkiss, Kenny Ken and many more.

La Riff is Axel Riffaud nickname gave from his childhood friends. It lasted over the years as the strong friendship. Axel grow up with all kind of music in his ears. As many others he first been a dancefloor lover, always looking for the eclectic music. Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Palma de Mallorca, Hong Kong & Ho Chi Minh City been his playground. By the beginning of 2019 La Riff touched for his first time a CDJ, one month later he was starting performing in reputed venues for underground music of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Summer 2019, he started to produce his own tracks with the idea of feed his DJ Set. He immediately got the virus of that and quickly been recognize by professional of the industry for his work.

Maraphoria is one of Saigon’s party starters in the local DJ community. She has a varied sound that has influences from all sorts of genres: Hip Hop, Disco, House and R&B. Born in the Philippines but grew up in Vietnam, she has been strongly influenced by DJs in the local community and experiments with her favorites to create her own sound. She played an integral role in the early game-changing agency that was Cliché Asia in Hong Kong before becoming the Co-founder and resident DJ of Savage Club in Hanoi. Always one to set her dance floors on fire, Miya masterfully blends rare and refined music from across space and time - from long lost disco gems to bass-driven futurism - delivering a sonic experience that is built for relentless movement throughout a night. Njuns started focus on DJing in Vietnam few years ago, and soon after joined the label and booking agency Cliché Records in Hong Kong. In 2017 he reconnected with Hanoi by joining the team behind Equation festival. Playing often in the city, he quickly became a resident DJ at the club Savage. He's also the founder of Pan d'Or festival in France. His musical spectrum goes from groovy techno to electro with some subtle house and breakbeat touches. Njuns has had the opportunity to play in other places like ://about blank in Berlin, Château Perché Festival in France, TAG in Chengdu, Mihn / Oma / Social Room in Hong Kong or Miller Night Bazaar Itaewon in Seoul. He also played alongside international names such as Objekt, UVB, Omar S, Discrete Circuit, Manuel Fisher, Oliver Deutschmann, Borrowed Identity, ATEQ (Giegling)or Bézier (Honey Soundsystem) to name a few.

S1cyr started his music education through classical and jazz, while being fully immersed into the 90´s golden era of Hip-Hop. His journey behind the decks started when returning to the Nam, following the path of the pioneers of the local under/over-ground. His style can be defined as raw and cosmic, minimalist and sophisticated, deep and groovy, warm and ice cold.

Soul Jazz Funksters was created as a side project by Alan Ritchie in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2017 to have an outlet for his mixes keeping away from House, Techno and Electro which he has predominantly played since the early 90’s. It quickly took off and he started getting more gigs playing Soul, Funk, Nu Jazz, Reggae & Hip Hop than electronic gigs around the capitol city of the Kingdom of Wonder. In 2018 he moved back to his SE Asian roots country Vietnam bringing his deep soulful sounds to the bars and clubs of Nha Trang & Saigon.

Steffen is born and raised in east berlin, his first touches with the materia was thru his uncle , who worked in a club called "WM 66" at the end of the 90´s. He also started to produce and playing records in clubs back then, when Techno became the new revolution of berlin. Steffen is introverted and the Half of The Sexinvaders, but he’s also deeply focused on his very new project called after his real name : Steffen Sonnenschein. His tracks stand out, due to its saturated base complimented with matured deep beats. This transcendence between techno and deep house creates an individuating innovating style.

Carrying a solid background in Serbian scene by appearing in the local reference EXIT festival and being resident DJ for Club Tunnel Novi Sad, Techa always brings his powerful and colorful music by selecting old school techno, house and electro tracks. He tries to take the audience on a new intergalactic journey every time.

Originally Teruu played as a drummer in a Tokyo based Hardcore Punk band for 10 years. He was taken over by the charm of dance music in 20xx and started DJing since 2015. His energetic, disco sets are fuelled by techno, house, afro and other obscurities. He was a resident at the infamous Savage in Hanoi before he moved to Saigon, where he was a booking manager of DJ bar WAM. Recently, we focus on and promote DJs and producers from Vietnam and other neighbouring Asian countries as the founder of Mogra Radio.

Originally from Sydney, Australia and based in HCMC, Việt Nam since 2013 . Tristyan is the Co-Owner / Resident DJ of The Lighthouse Saigon, Vitamin D After Party at Broma: Not A Bar and PlusONE Creative Community. Since being based in HCMC Tristyan has been DJing, promoting & running events in the local scene since 2014 and has held residencies at some of Saigon's most known and respected and unrespected locations. Known for his sometimes marathon 18 hour sets and eclectic range of musical styles, and influences. His versatility, and sometimes quirky, left of center tastes has enabled him to bring a fresh and unique flavor to all his sets.

Youssef The fresh faced Moroccan has been developing his style fast, always ready to throw down. Traveling through time and space, moods and cultures. He may begin with you in the far East and wrap up with the sounds of Berlin. Charismatic. His ear for intricate beats that move the room has helped vastly as he's been finding himself as a DJ, after offering huge support of the music scene in Vietnam with endeavors such as Sacred hill festival, HANYA NIGHT, and Electric Bazaar, as well as being instrumental in the growth of the collaborative outfit Sacred Sounds.

Born and raised in Hanoi in 90’s, his musical education began from a really young age, and he has always enjoyed the rhythm of it. He put himself seriously into digging and playing when he met ToK at Kobala, where they work together and share the decks every weekend. That’s where he got his nickname, "the Kobala Kid", as he represents the place, not only musically but through his personality too. Since then, he has been organising his own nights inviting the rising talents of the city, and playing in some of the best clubs and parties in town.
