ZHU is the mysterious Chinese-American artist behind the 2014 hit single “Faded”. His real name is Steven Zhu and he was born in 1989 in Los Angeles, California. Although he released his first single anonymously in 2014, it wasn’t until 2015 that ZHU revealed himself as the mastermind behind the project. Over the years, he has become one of the most prolific electronic music producers in the world. ZHU’s career began with his self-titled debut album in 2014. The album featured several hit singles such as “Faded”, “Stay Closer” and “Working for It”. Since then, he has released four more albums: Ringos Desert (2016), Generationwhy (2016), Stardustexhalemarrakechdreams (2017) and RINGOS BACK (2019). In times where moms give their sons and daughters DJ-courses for their birthdays and bootlegging has become an Olympic sport, it is nice to see a record that sets a new standard in the genre of mix-albums: ‘2 Many DJ’s’ from Belgian groove-gurus Soulwax. Fans of quality left-of-centre rock music will know Soulwax from their highly acclaimed album ‘Much Against Everyone’s Advice’, which made it into the British Top 40 and got rave responses in Japan and Australia. But there’s much more to the two brothers than meets the eye. Apart from being chairman of the Belgian Carpenters Association (Stephen) and having a black belt in tae kwon do (David), they are also masters in blending the finest products of music history together into a catchy, hilarious and -above all- intriguing groove exploration. Blending beautiful tunes is far from new for the Soulwax brothers. Back in the dark days of 1999, David and Stephen started a DJ-show on Belgian national radio, called ‘Hang The DJ’, where they did exactly that. Years before bootlegging reached the trendy pages of The Face, they were already making their own mixes for inclusion on the show. Inspired by the philosophy of one Grandmaster Flash, they cut together the best bits of funky tracks into an even funkier mix. It was then that classic mixes of Blackstreet with Grandmaster Flash, Beck with Prodigy and Beastie Boys vs. Herbie Hancock with INXS vs. AC/DC saw the light of day. Praise the Lord. After having wooed Belgian and Dutch crowds for a few years with these eclectic sets, they went on to impress the most cynical part of the world, the London scene, a loud yet harmless species. The British capital, where approximately 67% of the population (including 17% of women over 65) owns two decks and a mixer, is used to a thing or two, but Stephen and David immediately raised quite a few eyebrows with sparkling sets for London’s independent radio station Xfm, national institution BBC Radio 1 and appearances at the renowned Trash nights in London and Arthur Baker’s Sunday Sessions in The Elbow Room. Impact on the trendometer: a fat 9.5. “When we played our first set for Xfm”, says David, “several club owners phoned up during the transmission to ask us to come and play their venues.” And when an (unnamed) DJ played Soulwax’s classic bootleg mix of Skee-Lo’s ‘I Wish’, Survivor’s ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ and The Breeders’ ‘Cannonball’ at a London club night and pretended he was mixing it himself, it became official: Soulwax was hot property. Even Jarvis Cocker showed his appreciation for their skills and none other than über-producer Felix Da Housecat invited the brothers to collaborate on his new project: a girlband called Glamarama. You gotta believe it… No surprise then that ‘2 Many DJ’s’ has been in the pipeline for yonks, but because getting tracks cleared is a legal war zone, it has taken quite a bit longer. “Mick Jones from The Clash was very impressed with our bootleg version of their ‘The Magnificent Seven’ mixed with Basement Jaxx’s ‘Romeo’”, explains Stephen, “but still we didn’t manage to secure the rights to include it on the album”. Rumours that two lawyers have been decapitated since are unconfirmed. Too bad, but there’s more than enough magic material to keep you intrigued, smiling and shaking. The record includes already renowned mixes like Destiny’s Child’s ‘Independent Women’ with 10CC’s ‘Dreadlock Holiday’ and Stooges’ ‘No Fun’ with Salt ‘N’ Pepa’s ‘Push It’, but it also features new beautiful blends like Röyksopp’s ‘Eple’ with Dolly Parton’s ‘Nine To Five’ and Basement Jaxx’s ‘Where’s Your Head At’ with Emerson Lake & Palmer’s ‘Theme From Peter Gun’. Tongue-in-cheek is the first thing that springs to mind when reading these names, but if you peel off the first, obvious layer, you have to admit that these ‘cheesy’ mixes actually do work. Mixing 45 songs together in one hour of music is one thing. But making that hour a consistent exploration of the history of pop music is quite another. ‘2 Many DJ’s’ makes you laugh, yes indeed, but it also covers left, right, top and bottom of groovy pop. Some of the tracks on this album are obvious classics, some are simply unknown and some will very soon become hot sought-after gems. From Japanese geisha Hanayo covering ‘Joe le Taxi’, 21st century proof electro from Adult., Finnish disco from Ural 13 Diktators or sleazy Peaches to classics from The Velvet Underground, The Breeders, The Residents, Sly And The Family Stone and Nena. They’re all there for a reason. ‘2 Many DJ’s’ proves that ‘genre’ has never been such a naff word.

Amelie Lens has risen rapidly through the European techno ranks over the past couple of years. She’s now consistently high up the bill (if not topping it) at events like Awakenings, DGTL and Ibiza staples DC-10 and Hï, and this year debuts in the Top 100 DJs poll. The Belgian’s Lenske label has simultaneously gone from strength to strength, building its name around the five-person crew of AIROD, Farrago, Milo Spkyers, Ahl Iver and Lens herself. Granite-tough techno is the name of the game; epic vibes suited to the cavernous hangars Lens fills on a regular basis. Berlin born DJ, producer and label owner Ben Klock is without a doubt one of the most significant characters in techno’s recent history. A resident at Berghain since its opening in 2004, he has been able to leave his mark on the club’s unique sound, in turn the special space influenced Klock’s approach as a DJ and producer as well. Playing techno sets full of hypnotic, deep and heavy grooves, releasing records on Ostgut Ton and last but not least the aesthetics of his own label Klockworks (founded in 2006), have earned him an excellent international reputation over the last few years. Supported by stringent and enthralling tracks, remixes for such diverse artists as Kerri Chandler, Martyn or Depeche Mode, the revered debut album “One” on Ostgut Ton and his Berghain mix, Ben Klock’s name is synonymous with the vitalization of an essential definition of techno.

MK (Marc Kinchen) is an American DJ, record producer, and remixer. He is best known for his hit single "Push the Feeling On" which was released in 1992 and re-released in 1995, which became a club and mainstream hit around the world. He has also released several other successful singles throughout his career, such as "Burning" and "17". He has also remixed songs for a wide range of artists, including Madonna, Coldplay, and Kylie Minogue. MK is considered to be one of the most influential figures in the House music scene, and is known for his ability to seamlessly blend elements of Deep House, Garage and other genres of dance music in his productions. He continues to produce and perform at clubs and festivals around the world.

PAWSA is a name that has consistently emerged from the burgeoning house and techno scene in recent times. The London-based producer kickstarted his remarkable rise with a bonafide EP on the renowned Lost Records in 2014. The appropriately named 'Pilot’.. Picking up steam, PAWSA received the firm backing of industry stalwarts Green Velvet and Nicole Moudaber who both locked down EP's from the innovative producer on Relief Records and Mood Records respectively. These early successes further cementing the feeling that PAWSA is a producer destined to make a lasting impact. Generally billed just by her first name, Rebekah Teasdale is a DJ and producer from Birmingham, England who has been active since the mid-'90s. Like most figures of the Birmingham techno scene, her tracks are often hard, dark, and minimalist, with heavy pounding beats and gradual suspenseful development. An avid clubgoer since her youth, she began spinning records in 1996, at the age of 16. She spent several years as a model in order to provide financial support for her DJ career. She released an edit of the Mighty Dub Katz's house anthem "It's Just Another Groove" in 2004, but her first original productions, starting with 2007's "Toad in a Hole," were minimal tech-house. Richie Hawtin played an essential role in developing the sound of minimal techno, as well as spreading its popularity throughout the global club scene. Stephan Bodzin has been a hugely influential figure within the global techno scene for years. The reason the German has endured where many had fallen by the wayside is because of his devotion to authenticity. “Without it, everything would appear to be nothing more than a hollow shell,” says the son of an experimental musician who is now a revered talent in his own right. After starting out by composing music for several prestigious European theatres, Stephan Bodzin soon fell in love with nocturnal club sounds and began producing his own brand of techno. He impressed right from the off and has gone on to work with Oliver Huntemann under myriad aliases including Rekorder or with Marc Romboy including on albums like “Luna” and more recently “Kerberos & Styx” in 2014. The act with the first arena-sized sound in the electronica movement, The Chemical Brothers united such varying influences as Public Enemy, Cabaret Voltaire, and My Bloody Valentine to create a dance-rock-rap fusion which rivalled the best old-school DJs on their own terms — keeping a crowd of people on the floor by working through any number of groove-oriented styles featuring unmissable samples, from familiar guitar riffs to vocal tags to various sound effects. And when the duo (Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons) decided to supplement their DJ careers by turning their bedrooms into recording studios, they pioneered a style of music (later termed big beat) remarkable for its lack of energy loss from the dancefloor to the radio. Chemical Brothers albums were less collections of songs and more hourlong journeys, chock full of deep bomb-studded beats, percussive breakdowns, and effects borrowed from a host of sources. Kathy Yaeji Lee (born August 6, 1993 in New York City, U.S.), also known as Yaeji, is a Korean-American singer/producer of electronic deep house music, with whispered vocals in Korean and English. Yaeji was born in Flushing, Queens as a single child in a Korean family. Growing up, she moved from New York to Atlanta when she was 5, and then to South Korea in the third grade. Yaeji grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and eventually moved back to the United States to study conceptual art, East Asian studies and graphic design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Yaeji embraced DJing as a hobby while attending Carnegie Mellon, after learning how to use Traktor and beginning to DJ at house parties. Austrian drum'n'bass duo Camo & Krooked were founded in 2007. Both Camo (born Reinhard Rietsch on April 23, 1983 in Salzburg) and Krooked (born Markus Wagner on July 31, 1989 in Lilienfeld) had been active since 2002, before they teamed up and released their first singles from 2008 onward. Their first album, Above & Beyond, was released in 2010 and introduced their blend of drum'n'bass enriched with house, dubstep, and fun. At that year's Drum & Bass Arena Awards, they won the Best Newcomer DJ award. Claptone is a German DJ and producer duo which specializes in house and tech house genres. Coco Bryce may be a relatively new name to most in the UK, however he’s been plying his trade for around two decades. Hailing from Breda in the south of the Netherlands, it was back in the ‘90s when he first became enamoured with the sounds of breakbeat hardcore and gabber — the latter, he feels perhaps inevitable for a Dutch kid, despite it being at odds with the skater culture he was also a part of.“The raw energy just grabbed me,” he says. Learning to DJ from his friends, Bryce (real name: Yoël Bego) got himself “a pair of shitty Soundlab belt-drive turntables”, started to pick up bookings at a mate’s local night, and the rest, as they say, is history. Glasgow-based DJ/producer Hector Barbour (aka Denis Sulta) creates vivacious, melodic house with underground sensibilities. Born in Glasgow in 1993, he grew up with a keen interest in dance music, landing his first job at the infamous record shop Rubadub. It was during his tenure there that he took up both music production and DJ'ing under the guidance of his co-workers, who were all very passionate about the scene. His early tracks were darker in tone, but as he started playing more and more gigs, his music became more uplifting. To reflect the change in style, he reversed the name Atlus to Sulta and adopted Denis as a prefix (originally spelled "Dennis," a printing error led him to drop an "n" in favor of Denis). Starting his DJing career in 1995 in Santa Barbara, CA, like most DJs, Ganesh began by playing small house parties, clubs, and occasional one-off shows. Willing to do anything to get a gig, he would even offer his own turntables and mixer for the second room. From the streets of Long Beach, California, Geo started his DJ career at the age of 13. By the age of 16, Geo was already headlining at multiple nightclubs all throughout Southern California. As a child, Geo always gravitated toward music. His father was also a DJ and would often wake up the household blasting loud music on his Technic 1200s. The fascination of watching his dad blend music of all different genres and backgrounds together would help shape Geo into the future DJ he would one day become. This kick-start into the fertile soils of Berlin’s underground lay the foundation of a career, that has taken off internationally in the past years. It’s the dancefloors that taught this DJ his outstanding empathy and intuition for the sounds, that make a crowd vibrate. Constant practice and the dedication to music shaped his style. Known for his stamina and mixing skills, it is his selection that truly stands out. What seems eclectic on the first sight, is a well-curated mix of vinyl gems. Héctor Oaks seeks for the sweet spot between tracks that are connected not by genre but vibe and style. As vinyl-only DJ, his selection thrives on Oaks’ passion for digging in record shops all around the world. Hamburg native Helena Hauff is an in-demand DJ as well as an acclaimed producer of gritty, hard-edged electro-techno. Her music draws from influences such as acid house, EBM, and industrial, and she records her tracks strictly using analog equipment, usually in one take. Her full-length debut, 2015's Discreet Desires, contains some of her most melodic material, while 2018's Qualm is more stripped-down but no less energetic. 27-year-old Ida Engberg started DJing hip hop and soul aged 14 after a boyfriend showed her how to mix, but she says “I had absolutely no plans on becoming a DJ, I just saw it as a new way to listen to and interact with music and I loved it!” But fate had other plans – while at a friend’s bar aged 18 his regular DJ called in sick. Ida talked her way onto the decks on the proviso that if it wasn’t working after half an hour she’d get off again – by the time she’d finished playing she’d secured her first weekly residence. “I was probably a terrible DJ” she says modestly, “but he loved the music so he booked me every Friday. At this time I was playing lounge music, ambient and soulful house.”,Ida honed her mixing skills and bagged her second residency through more fortuitous timing – working as a host at a big nightclub, Spy Bar, she stepped in for the errant resident DJ who’d had a skinful and promptly disappeared, leaving the dancefloor in silence. The owner immediately changed her job description to DJ, and put her in the main room, kicking off her DJ career proper. “I guess it was there it really started” says Ida. “I was playing house, tribal and electro and I really loved every second of it! I kept my residency there for two and a half years until I decided I wanted to spread my wings a bit.”,A move to Marbella brought 8 months of club gigs, followed by a season in Ibiza which inspired Ida musically like no other place. “I had fallen deeply in love with the minimal techno sound so it was perfect at the time. In Ibiza I met so many people who shared the same dream- To be working with music.” “I was playing in bars and smaller clubs and in afterhour parties. Everywhere I went it was people with the same passion for music as I had.” At the end of the season, Ida returned to Stockholm landing a top residency at Cocktail Club, the best underground club in Stockholm. “My first gig was a warm up for Eric Prydz and after that I did warm ups for everyone from Damian Lazarus, Mandy, Anja Schneider and Jennifer Cardini to Roger Sanchez and Steve Angello. “Stockholm is a great platform for electronic music. There are so many great producers and DJs living here and people really support each other.”,Although DJing is her first love, it was only a matter of time before Ida tried her hand at production. Her first effort was the massive Disco Volante – signed by John Dahlbäck to his Pickadoll label and released in 2007 with a Sebastien Leger remix it became a huge hit all over the world, featuring on compilations from Ministry of Sound, Defected in the House and Pacha Ibiza. It charted across the whole of Europe, doing especially well in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Two more tracks have followed on Get Physical and Pickadoll plus a remix for Dada Life, and Ida signed with the Plantage13 agency for international gigs. She can be found playing her brand of minimal, techno and tech house in clubs all over the world every weekend, and her love of what she does is obvious to all. Playing unplanned sets allows her to respond to the crowd, and she’s rocked parties and clubs like Miami’s Sunday School for Degenerates, Yes at Watergate in Berlin, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Melkweg in Amsterdam, Catwalk in Rotterdam and Op Art in Portugal to name a few. Lately she also took part in the Drumcode parties with Swedish companion Adam Beyer. “It’s still a musical journey, my style develops all the time and I’m always open to new impressions” says Ida. “That’s what makes it the best job in the world!”

Infected Mushroom – Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani (aka Duvdev) – has been the leading group within the global psy-trance scene for nearly a decade. Incorporating pumping, bad-ass grooves and infectious melodies and live instruments and vocals into their songs, they’ve performed live – a feat that many of their DJ peers aspire to accomplish – for well over a million people around the globe.,The band’s energetic live show has triumphed at some of the world’s biggest and most important music festivals (OMIX Festival in Mexico, Miami’s Ultra Festival, Tribe in Sao Paulo, among countless others), and they continue to regularly sell-out top clubs such as the Brixton Academy in London, Toronto’s Koolhaus at the Government, and Avalon in New York and Los Angeles. Their success as an electronic music band on the global concert circuit has translated into record sales in excess of 150,000 albums over the course of six acclaimed independent albums. Not bad for two guys from Haifa who started producing music mostly to escape boredom.,“We met in 1996 through a DJ friend,” recalls Erez. “Duvdev was in Goa at the time, and I was working on another project with a German guy. We met and tried to do one track together, and we’ve continued on since then.”,A year later, Erez and Duvdev started buying equipment and began to take Infected Mushroom – a name they stole from a disbanded local punk band – seriously. Finding little influence in Israel’s music scene, they drew inspiration from bands like Metallica and The Prodigy. Early productions led to club dates and gigs at local parties. Before long, the twosome had developed quite a loyal following. While the headlines were filled with news about violence and bloodshed, Infected Mushroom’s music touched the hearts of the burgeoning Israeli trance scene, and clubbers began looking to the band’s music for a respite from the tumultuous political situation.,“People were dying and the government saw that dealing with that as more important than abolishing trance parties,” says Erez. “And now the government is supporting trance parties. They want people to party, instead of staying home. There are places in the United States that you cannot go to because it is too dangerous because there are crazy people living there. It’s the same thing in Israel.”,Brandishing a multi-influenced trance sound that hadn’t been heard before, Erez and Duvdev were turned down by nearly every record label in Israel when they attempted to get a deal. “Nobody wanted to sign us,” recalls Erez. “We went to the biggest and smallest labels in Israel, and nobody was interested. At the time, we really believed in our music and continued looking for people to sign us. Fortunately, there was this A&R guy from BNE named Avi Youssef [and BNE’s owner, Avi Brand] who gave us a chance.”,In 1998, BNE released Infected Mushroom’s debut album, The Gathering. Inspired by the surreal ambient styles of Simon Posford, X-Dream and Transwave, it took a few months for the forward-thinking album to catch on. But once it did, the buzz within the global psy-trance scene became deafening.,The group’s second album, Classical Mushroom, was released in 2000. “This album was totally different that the first album,” says Duvdev, who, like Erez, is a classically trained musician. “Not only did we expand our style, but the album was big in Europe and Japan. It sounded totally different that the other trance music that was happening at the time.”,“The trance scene at the time was really monotonic as opposed to melodic with chords,” adds Erez. “We put a lot of classical elements into that album; it sounded different, and that’s why it stood out. At the beginning, nobody believed in that one as well.”,Infected Mushroom’s third album, B.P. Empire, followed in 2001. The combination of their live show and diverse electronic palette eventually won them the support of critics and a new legion of hardcore fans in North and South America. In 2003, Infected Mushroom issued their sprawling double-disc album, Converting Vegetarians. Perhaps one of their most ambitious recordings to date, Converting Vegetarians was a sonic departure away from trance. Leading the listener through trance, freestyle and ambient sounds, the album paved the way for 2004’s I’m The Supervisor.,“After we made the chilled-out non-danceable side to Converting Vegetarians, we wanted to make something for the trance fans that was danceable and full-on,” says Duvdev of I’m The Supervisor. “This album is trance, except for the last track. There’s more singing, and it’s the most difficult thing we’ve done. Using the voice as an instrument is tough to do. We’re like every band in that we’re trying to search for something new with every album.”,Always one step of their audience, Infected Mushroom are constantly pushing themselves. With fame and success in their homeland and in the global electronic music community, Infected Mushroom threw caution to the wind and relocated to Los Angeles in January 2005. The purpose was to take themselves out of their comfort zone in order to take their music to the next level.,“The weather is a lot like Israel’s,” says Erez, “and we still don’t know the city very well. But we’re here and we’re looking to push ourselves and do the sort of things that we couldn’t do in Israel.”,As they work in their adopted surroundings and continue to tour the world, Erez and Duvdev have added famed Israeli guitarist Erez Netz and Brazilian percussionist Rogerio Jardim to select live shows. They’re also busy finishing material for their seventh album, Vicious DeLicious, which contains a myriad of new musical explorations, from Flamenco guitar, to hip hop, to thrash-metal undertones. They have even been commissioned to remix recordings of rock legends, The Doors. Jamie Jones is a Welsh DJ, producer and two time DJ Awards winner. A modern-day example of a powerhouse in the music industry; as well as his own productions on a multitude of dance labels, he co-founded the globally successful label Hot Creations and launched the conceptual party Paradise, hosting events the world over including an eight-year residency at DC-10 in Ibiza. A highly respected DJ/producer that pioneered a new genre of house music, Jamie has a dedicated fanbase, hard-working ethos, and a solid team behind him that's been there since the beginning; with such a striking presence in the house and techno scene for the last decade, his entry into the Top 100 DJs poll is long overdue. Next year the Paradise Ibiza residency will launch in Amnesia for the first time, with a new theme — ‘An Age Of Love’. Berlin-based singer, songwriter, and bandleader Jan Blomqvist merges intricate, club-friendly tech-house with tuneful, melancholic pop. His songs are filled with minimal yet propulsive beats, detailed production, and yearning vocals recalling Thom Yorke. He often performs and records with pianist Felix Lehmann and drummer Christian Dammann, in addition to writing with lyricist Ryan Mathiesen. Blomqvist began singing and playing guitar as a youth, and got into techno at the age of 21, after which he decided to pursue music as a career. He spent his nights working as a bartender at a club and making tracks, developing his blend of minimal techno and pop songwriting. During the next three years, Blomqvist played over 300 gigs throughout the world, and released a handful of additional singles, leading up to Remote Control, his debut full-length, which was issued by Armada in 2016. ~ AllMusic

Timucin Lam, known professionally as Jax Jones, is an English DJ, songwriter, record producer and remixer. He rose to fame in 2014 by featuring on Duke Dumont's number-one single "I Got U". He followed this up with his own singles "You Don't Know Me" featuring Raye and "Instruction" featuring Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Jax's debut studio album, Snacks (Supersize), was released on 6 September 2019. It was preceded by the single "One Touch" featuring Jess Glynne.

Jeff Mills, along with Robert Hood, Carl Craig, and Joey Beltram, is one of the biggest American names in techno. Championed for his music's relentless pursuit of hardness and his intense, almost industrial DJ sets (often utilizing three or four turntables or CD decks and a drum machine), Mills is one of the most significant figures in a long line of Detroit-bred talent to earn an international reputation. A founding member of noted Motor City institution Underground Resistance, Mills helped build the artist roster and label ideology (as well as much of its back catalog) with partners "Mad" Mike Banks and Robert "Noise" Hood during the late '80s and early '90s. ~ AllMusic

Jerome Isma-ae combines the behind-the-curtain knowledge of a music producer, with the familiarity and deep knowledge of a dance floor you would expect from a DJ. Jerome has been surrounded by music since his early years, with musical education in elementary school, learning the piano and later the guitar. At 12, Jerome was already playing the bass guitar in a heavy metal band, but it wasn’t until 14 that he started making his own beats with a drum machine.

After learning the ropes at Amsterdam’s legendary club 11, Job began his adventure at the renowned Innervisions label in Berlin. DJ John Summit is a Chicago-based DJ and producer known for his deep and tech house music. He rose to prominence in the early 2010s with a string of successful releases on popular labels such as Dirtybird, Relief, and Sola. His sound is characterized by groovy basslines, soulful vocals, and a strong club-oriented vibe. He has performed at major festivals and clubs around the world and has also collaborated with other artists in the electronic dance music scene. In recent years, Summit has also gained attention for his remixes of popular songs, many of which have been widely shared on social media. He continues to push the boundaries of the genre and maintain a dedicated fanbase.

Kai Tracid (born as Kai Franz on 17 January 1972 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany) is a trance DJ and producer. The name Tracid originates from the combination of the two music styles Trance and Acid. In 2009 he stopped making music and co-founded a yoga centre. He made his return to the scene in 2020 with the release of his collaborative single 'DT64'.

Made up of Gavin Harris and Nick Hill, formerly and respectively known to the world of drum & bass as Xample and Lomax, this duo has surpassed the highest expectations in recent years by fusing their individual styles and creating a pioneering sound that imbues club dance floors, iPods and huge festival arenas with incredible energy and impeccable musical precision. Loadstar’s individual parts met while Bristol-born Gavin was studying sociology at Liverpool University and self-admittedly spending more time concentrating on writing and promoting music than attending lectures and writing essays. Hailing from the DC Metro Area, Luke Andy is one of the brightest young stars in electronic music. After only three years of producing and DJing, Luke has already played some of the best venues and festivals in the world, and has an array of collaborations with established producers. After gaining support from artists like Ardalan, Shiba San and Claude Vonstroke, Luke moved to California to pursue his music career. His unique blend of influences include underground hip hop, brazilian bass, and tech house, making him quite the powerhouse in the scene.

The pseudonym of Dutch producer Mark van der Schoot (30), Maduk first came to prominence via the YouTube channel Liquicity Drum & Bass in 2011. Van der Schoot had started producing just a year before and had given his friend Maris Goudzwaard -- who ran Liquicity -- a copy of the track "Avalon" which was promptly uploaded. The liquid drum & bass sound was the perfect fit for the burgeoning channel and was released on their new label of the same name. Joining forces with Goudzwaard in 2013 to setup the label and their Amsterdam-based club nights, Van der Schoot continued to release on Liquicity and multiple other labels. The collaborative team of three Italian producers, Meduza had a massive hit with their 2019 single "Piece of Your Heart." Combining smooth vocal hooks with a melodic house backbone, the trio's signature song was streamed hundreds of millions of times as they became more recognized on the EDM festival circuit. Before they were called Meduza, Luke Degree (aka Luca de Gregorio), Matt Madwill (aka Mattia Vitale), and Simon de Jano (aka Simone Giani) began working together as a production team around 2014. The friends were all active as DJs, electronic musicians, and producers and joined forces first to make rap instrumentals and collaborate on various tracks. After a few years of casual work, they settled on a house-influenced sound and began working on new music in that style as Meduza in 2018. Ironically, given the fact that they've got “Tactics” in their name, Mob Tactics came about quite by chance. Mark was producing as The Funktion, and Luke, in his role as label manager for RUN DNB, liked what he heard and signed some of his tracks. It became apparent that Mark and Luke's taste in music was ridiculously similar and, over the course of a few weekends, they decided to get in each others studios and see what happened. What happened was “Gunjack” & “Stick-up Kid”, two tunes which would go on to be supported by some of the biggest deejays in the business, and become the first Mob Tactics release. That was back in 2010 and, in the intervening years, these two have seemingly never let the momentum drop for a moment.

Palms Trax is a producer and Dj based in Berlin, Germany. His first record was released in October of 2013 on London-based imprint Lobster Theremin. For aspiring DJs and producers, or indeed anyone who appreciates a good story, the genesis of Palms Trax couldn’t have read any dreamier. You know the one; curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Later, stumbling around Berlin, his primitive attempts to emulate the sound of his newfound heroes accidentally land him a bona fide dance floor hit. A gradual but steady stream of EPs courtesy of Dutch dance music powerhouse Dekmantel have allowed his productions to blossom in richer, smoother directions. On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house - euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys - are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion. It’s that same connection with Dekmantel that has encouraged Donaldson to quickly, impressively evolve as a DJ of some distinctive taste and talent. A memorable performance at Dekmantel’s flagship Amsterdam festival in 2015 captured open hearts, lost minds and aching feet. For over 3 decades he has elevated and shaped an entire genre and remains one of the leading forces in the global music scene today.,His most recent works have taken him from the DJ booth of the worlds hottest nightspots and festivals to the studio producing soundtracks for Hollywood blockbuster movies. The son of a musician, Paul came up as a young DJ in the late 70s spinning Funk in Covent Garden. Not what some might have expected from one of Trances preeminent masters. Randy Wieland, better known as Ran-D, has over 10 years of experience in harddance music. He is considered to be one of the new promising artists in the hardstyle scene. The past years he has played on major harddance events such as Defqon-1, Q-Base, In Qontrol, XQlusive, The Qontinent, Reverze and Qountdown. Currently he is a member of the well known Scantraxx Label. His releases on A2-Records, a subdivision of Scantraxx, are being supported by a lot of major jocks in the hardstyle scene. In the studio as well as behind the decks, he is a real perfectionist. Over the years he has developed his own distinct sound which is diverse but always has the unique Ran-D touch to it. A mix of raw sounds, uplifting melodies and his own unique vocals make his sound stand out.

Recondite is the alias of German musician Lorenz Brunner. Since launching his Recondite project in 2011, Brunner has released four albums and numerous EPs to imprints such as Dystopian, Innervisions, Hotflush, and Ghostly International. All the while, Brunner has been diligently touring his live show around the world: a concise showcase in which he performs all original music. Recondite is currently at work on his fifth album, which will be released in 2018 on his own record label Plangent Records.

Rezz is the moniker of Isabelle Rezazadeh, a Canadian DJ/producer from Niagara Falls, Ontario known for her moody, dark-hued production style. She became a staple of the Mau5trap label in the latter half of the 2010s where she released a pair of full-length albums in 2017 and 2018. An EP and spate of high profile singles like 2020's "Someone Else" and 2021's "Sacrificial" followed over the next few years. InsurrectionBorn and raised in the Ukraine by her Ukrainian mother and Iranian father, she and her family moved to Canada when Isabelle was young. She also discovered music at an early age, and fell in love with EDM when she snuck into Toronto nightclubs while still in her teens. Rezazadeh began DJing at age 16 and moved into making her own dark, minimal-inspired productions soon after, teaching herself the basics with online tutorials. As far back as the early '90s, Ricardo Villalobos began building an impressive discography of 12" releases on respected dance labels like Playhouse and Perlon, and around the turn of the decade he was one of the most revered producers and DJs in dance music. In his youth, the Chilean-born Villalobos moved with his family to Germany in order to avoid the military dictatorship of Pinochet, and he eventually fell in with the country's fertile house community. The producer and DJ who was once fortunate enough to have his finger on the pulse on the birth of the dubstep/riddim genre from its earliest stages appropriately enough became responsible for the invention of a highly unique DJing style within the genre itself called “chopping;” a style that couples perfectly with his high octane stage presence, resulting in an adrenaline fueled remix or mashup of sorts between two tracks - a technique that many dubstep DJs have since adopted for use during their own live sets. He is a part of Titan International agency ran by Philipp Straub, as well as a member of Warsaw’s dj trio T2P. As a resident of Smolna club (Warsaw, Poland) Sincz had an opportunity to play warm-ups before such stars as Guy Gerber, Joris Voorn, Loco Dice, Ten Walls, Rodriquez Jr., Âme, Nic Fanciulli, Paco Osuna, Adam Beyer, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Magda, Jan Blomqvist, Chaim or Andy Buttler (Hercules & Love Affair). He gained his experience alongside with development of polish club scene since he was 18 years old. Back then, in 2006, he played his first set in famous Piekarnia club and only one year later he started to organize bookings for afterparties in legendary Tomba Tomba club. A breakthrough point in his career came with participation in Burn Residency competition in Ibiza. A love for SUBwoofers and elecTRONICS has brought us Subtronics. Growing up in Philadelphia, PA, Jesse Kardon, AKA Subtronics, had a passion for his drum set and Radiohead. While in high school, he discovered electronic music and became enamored with the scene. Fusing his unique blend of cutting-edge sound design with hard-hitting bass, Subtronics seeks to push the envelope with sound engineering. On the live front, he has built a rabid following with his high-energy sets and advanced mixing skills.
