Hibiya Line is not Japanese. Behind that name hides Dan, a Swiss-Vietnamese guy who in 2006 began playing live acts mixing beats, house and techno in his hometown of Lausanne, Switzerland with two friends. They quickly made a name for themselves were invited to play in some of the most prestigious clubs and festivals around the country such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Paleo, and Motel Campoto name a few. His deep immersion in the Swiss party scene eventually brought him to Saigon in 2012, and in 2013, he opened The Observatory. Since then, Hibiya Line has become known as one of the most versatile and resilient DJs in the region, with more than enough capacity and drive to take full control of dance floors from the sundown to sunrise. Hibiya Line’s sound explores the house, disco and techno, but his dancefloor can always expect to experience some open-ended style tracks thrown in that make the audio journey more diverse and interesting...

A producer and DJ deep house and techno operating in Asia. Growing up in the heart of a techno scene in Leeds in the mid-90s, Dan moved to London just to be immersed in the bass of Heart & Soul parties, followed by relationships. The system through legendary Eukotech disc performance. Before long, Dan appeared in London's finest underground parties. More recently, after moving the capital to Brighton and the famous free party setting with Positive Soundsystem and Innerfield. At that time, Dan had a regular seat at the Backstage Bar of the Glade Festival. After years of refining sound and craftsmanship, the first 1DAN publication was published through the highly respected label deep house underground Atmospheric Existence in England. A selector drawn to dubby-electro tech and bass heavy house, he also weaves between minimal and upbeat. Co-founder of club night METRØ, he has recently featured alongside Dr. Rubenstein, Prosumer and Answer Code Request and most recently Barker at Savage, one of South East Asia’s most well known clubs. He’s also played at other credible events such as Studio Adventure in Hanoi and Jai Thep Festival in Thailand.

Saigon brewed Khoi Mai, and after traveling near and far, he relocated to his home country in 2018. Quickly becoming one of the key players in Hanoi as part of the Savage crew, he recently moved back to Saigon, where he is now the newest resident of The Observatory. Khoi presents a fun and light-hearted attitude to dance music with eclectic selections and a dreamy, percussive sound. Moving smoothly between genres, Khoi puts his personality and influences to use on any dance floor he’s put in control of, with constant grooves, surprises and delights.

Njuns started focus on DJing in Vietnam few years ago, and soon after joined the label and booking agency Cliché Records in Hong Kong. In 2017 he reconnected with Hanoi by joining the team behind Equation festival. Playing often in the city, he quickly became a resident DJ at the club Savage. He's also the founder of Pan d'Or festival in France. His musical spectrum goes from groovy techno to electro with some subtle house and breakbeat touches. Njuns has had the opportunity to play in other places like ://about blank in Berlin, Château Perché Festival in France, TAG in Chengdu, Mihn / Oma / Social Room in Hong Kong or Miller Night Bazaar Itaewon in Seoul. He also played alongside international names such as Objekt, UVB, Omar S, Discrete Circuit, Manuel Fisher, Oliver Deutschmann, Borrowed Identity, ATEQ (Giegling)or Bézier (Honey Soundsystem) to name a few.

Bringing diversity to the decks as an avid dancer, organizer and DJ, Park Lee (Giang Bac) is a Vietnamese-mixed Korean who grew up in Ho Chi Minh City. Having spent some years away, Park was only inspired to start DJ-ing once he had relocated back to his home, where he found himself developing alongside the city’s burgeoning music scene.Park started off through playing at small house parties, and quickly grew into a regular in the local scene. This led him to begin organizing events with friends, most notably the GenderFunk party series in Saigon, a breakthrough collective and pioneer in creating safe spaces for local Queer artists and community, and their own brand of creativity, musical diversity and live performance since 2018.

Rifain’s sound is powered by an experimentalism that twists and turns through varied genres with a consistency that cloaks it in its own unique nature. His approach is one of absorption and redefinition, elegantly mixing seemingly divergent elements to guide a dancefloor into deep, downbeat darkness or an opaque dreamscape before rousing it into primal collective movement through fresh tribal energy. All being told, his sound is hard for even him to describe, as it’s in constant flux and evolution, intuitively reflecting setting and situation and the influences that happen to be inspiring him. As its main booker and cofounder, Rifain is a key figure of Savage nightclub in Hanoi, which over the last few years has turned into a key node of Asia’s underground club circuit. Born In Belgrade, Serbia, as an offspring of a famous music producer, she grew up in a studio. Her whole upbringing shaped her musical perception and refined her taste. In order to promote and redefine an urban party concept, in 2016 she has founded Atipik Agency, a platform that merges contemporary art and music, offering local, upcoming talents an opportunity to showcase their work in a unique framework of events, breaking free from gallery/club stereotypes. As of today, Atipik concept has been bringing together artists together both in Europe and in Asia, where she currently resides. After having plunged into the depths of Saigon underground scene, Vynnibal moved behind the decks to bring her unique goofy, banging yet delicate sound to the aerial life. Despite her tender soul, Vynnibal is not afraid to explore unchartered territories, drive the crowd to unexpected places, mix feelings as she blends liquid emotions into multi-versed musical sets. With Vynnibal, expect the odd and the sparkly, the quirky and the severe, the kisses and the kicks. She is also behind “The Crisis” parties and regularly brings new acts and people together, contributing with passion to turning Saigon into a regional techno powerhouse.

Anh Vy is one of the youngest Djs in the Saigon underground scene and one of The Observatory’s newest residents. He's recognised by the versatility and flexibility in music. He was one of the resident DJs of former Upper Saigon. As time goes by, he is making himself into an interesting and promising piece of Saigon’s underground scene as an artist and a contributor with his very own uniqueness.

A long-time record collector and connoisseur of jazz funk, disco, afro, reggae and other hidden rarities, Datodeo moved his vinyl to Vietnam from his native France and has since spent most of his spare time spinning around Saigon and the region. He also runs the Vietnam Loves Vinyl online community and worked on the Saigon SuperSound Compilation with Jan Hagenkoetter. Datodeo’s sets are rich explorations of hidden corners of the dance universe, from rare deep house cuts and lost disco and Afro gems to jazz funk movements and contemporary electronic twists. Party music at its purest and most complete, the sound he presents demands to be soaked in and danced to.

Di Linh is a young artist from Vietnam. Since she began the musical path, she has been making her mark by the diverse and colorful music selection. She is a part of Hanoi Underground Movement (HUM) and resident DJ at Savage. Till this day, Di Linh often plays in familiar places like Savage, Kobala, Smack Dab,... through local events HUM, Snug, SBD, This is, Guinguette, Unuzual and Quest, Duality, Recess, Studio Adventure, Epizode Festival. Besides, her name also appears the same night with well-known artists such as Lauer, Red Rack’em, Local Suicide, Haruka, Omer, Curses and many more around the world in Epizode. And the highlight of her music career was her performance in HUM Showcase (Epizode) with Marco Yanes, which also mentioned in the official review from Data Transmission. Each space gives her different inspirations, Di Linh is always looking and developing herself to give the audiences a fresh feeling, while still retaining her own unique color. She knows how to lead the audiences' emotions...

Jerems Dev aka ‘JJ’ aka DJ GiMiX MoMAD from Toulouse (FR) has always been part of dj & party world ever since rave begun, & he has always displayed his hat. This party rocker spent a decade working for shows & festivals in south of France as roadie, as barman, as driver, as video maker… In 2009, with the emergence of the new tools for music production & DJ live, he decided to take up mixing again & naturally turned himself to the mash up style then took up two main movements; electro swing & ghetto funk.Since his humble debut at “Cabaret Erotique” in Toulouse, GiMiX NoMaD really have one aim for sets: to create absolute sexy mayhem through antics grooves & fresh baselines & seduce any audience. Originally from Lyon, he moved to Asia a few years ago and is now based in Hanoi. As one of the emerging DJs from the new Serbian scene, having moved to Hanoi, Dusan has been flirting with many genres trying to find the right balance between minimal and acid house, deep and dub techno all the way to electro and breakbeat. Leaning on the authenticity of the organic sound, he builds his sets always feeling the crowd and the space. He currently hosts a show on DSTRACKTD platform named Flux.

A veteran of the UK's jungle and soundsystem scene, with various releases and countless events under his belt Humb is a long term resident of Vietnam having run venues and parties in the city for many years. The development of the Hanoi scene has influenced his production style heavily, pushing him to attack new styles and to look backwards to the roots of electronic music. His sets favour high energy sounds and percussive tracks paired with a fast mixing style designed to whip dancefloors into a frenzy.

Born in the early 90s in Belgrade - the city with a strong rave culture. He considers music as a very important and integral part of his life. Janko spent a great amount of time collecting old and new records - a collection of smooth and delicate electronic gems with no restriction for style, mood or era. Jase is the original Bass DJ of Vietnam, he had been a pioneer of Jungle and Dubstep, Glitch Hop scene since 2007 in his native land. Jase self-taught himself the art of DJing in 2001 when he bought his 1200s. House was his first genre of choice for the first year. As Jase progressed, he found House's beat was too simple so the next genre was Nu Skool Breaks due to its popularity of it at that time in Sydney. He slowly moved toward Drum and Bass, Hip-hop and Reggae after-co founded the infamous Sydney's DNB promotional crew "Foreigndub" which made numerous successful parties bringing international DJs including DJ Marky and Stamina MC, Big Bud, DJ Patife & MC Cleveland Watkiss, Kenny Ken and many more.

Jauge has been a prolific creator of musical ideas and has been playing live sets at events such as Mutek, Future Music Everything and other various independent parties within the Welsh music scene. During that time he also had releases included on labels such as MTA Records, Food Music, and Bad Panda Records. After migrating to VN, he has shared his sounds and music creations at various venues and events such as Duality Festival, Kobala, Studio Adventure, Equation 2018, Savage, Rafikis, We Groove, Mystery Mountain, Kumquat Tree and the recent This Is. Co-founder of Electronic imports, is a Belgian DJ & event organizer based in Vietnam since 2016. An addict of modulated dry white noised snares (shhh) fetishist &over-driven bass drums (krrr), his non-academic way of operating the blender fits his sound texture & complex dynamics-based approach. Well known in Saigon for his insane pop up at the infamous Vitamin D after-party, he plays weekly along with local and international artists in reputable places: The Observatory, Arcan, The LightHouse, Schiller Saigon and beyond. One of The Observatory residents, Kin’s approach to his sets is intelligent, sensual and constantly evolving. Through his carefully chosen selections, he crafts a sonic flow that careens through the gaps between the physical and emotional. He slowly disarms and relaxes his dance floor while heightening its awareness with tracks from the more shadowy sides of house and delicate frequencies of techno. His dance floor can also be frequently surprised by licks of disco and other unexpected delicacies.

̸BIOGRAPHY jus a DJ Originating from Japan, KMG has been naturally drawn to music. As soon as he could, he equipped himself with a proper vinyl set-up and began digging. With a background in hip hop, soul, and R&B, KMG has been building his eclectic collection for over a decade, since life in the states. In recent years, he has shifted his focus to dance music. This has seen him dive deeply into House and Acid as well as taking inspiration from a wide range of music and mixing influences. Those sets are a clear indicator of the depth, thought and time that it has taken to create such experiences, whether it is in or out of the club. Joining to industry sound collective Cipher (Hong Kong) as regional DJ since 2019.

Manny is a Paris native, currently living in Saigon. Manny’s love for hip hop music started with 90’s French hip hop music and later blossomed when he had started to listen to American hip hop artists, such as 2-Pac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and the NWA. He then went on to co-produce "Le Plan Deb", a French rap lyrics band. His passion for hip hop started to evolve while listening to one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s sample compilations, “Shaolin Soul”. That paved the way which led him into soul funk disco music. Since then, Manny has dabbled with many genres, such as African and tropical culture. He has developed his own styling of soul to topical groove with a touch of modernity. Every so often his music tends to be a little bit wilder, as he explores deeper dark sounds.

Maraphoria is one of Saigon’s party starters in the local DJ community. She has a varied sound that has influences from all sorts of genres: Hip Hop, Disco, House and R&B. Born in the Philippines but grew up in Vietnam, she has been strongly influenced by DJs in the local community and experiments with her favorites to create her own sound. Recently she has been exploring the sound of House and adding flavors of Bass, Groove and UK Garage.

Miya is by many measures a key component of the Asian electronic music scene. She played an integral role in the early game-changing agency that was Cliché Asia in Hong Kong before becoming the Co-founder and resident DJ of Savage Club in Hanoi. Always one to set her dance floors on fire, Miya masterfully blends rare and refined music from across space and time - from long lost disco gems to bass-driven futurism - delivering a sonic experience that is built for relentless movement throughout a night. Her sound is a diverse blend of the styles that first and foremost make her dance. Her sets are as unpredictable as they are captivating. The energy she generates behind the decks radiates out of her and will take you into a deep-diving cruise through her energized sounds. Nic Ford moved to Vietnam from the UK around 10 years ago, and has been running and featuring on lineups of parties throughout the region since then. He has been a resident of The Observatory since it first opened in 2013. Honing his skills since the mid-nineties, he held his first residency at Dry 201 in Manchester and is a voracious collector of a vast array of music. He’s also a highly acclaimed producer, being one half of MadderModes, a production outfit that has releases on a range of impressive labels including DRED, Voodoo Down Records and Millions of Moments.

It would be wrong to start talking about where Ouissam comes from – after a decade in Asia, he’s now something of a regional entity that has managed to change the dance music scene wherever he has laid down roots. His approach to a dance floor is as simple as it is intuitive and elegant: nothing that can make a room shudder with joy is barred from his selections.As the founder of Hong Kong’s Cliche Records, he was one of the first in that city to cultivate a disco-house-techno synthesis that shifted the understanding of what could be danced to there. He went on to create the magnetic Homesick and Fragrant Harbour labels, before suddenly setting his sights on Hanoi in Vietnam, where he has established the dance mecca Savage where he runs the monthly queer night Snug. And on top of all that, he found time to curate the coveted Equation festival, now entering its second year..

Based in Vietnam and born in France, Robat’s music is often a savant mix of Disco, New Beat, Breakbeat and diverse House, embellished by some big dives into deeper electronic sounds. At the age of 11 when he innocently pressed PLAY on a Miss Kittin record. Few knew that this would change his approach to music forever. The intro of dark synths and the beat slowly creeping in made his head move with a new and wonderful feeling. The unique, dark, cold and sexy voice that suddenly resonated from the track had him instantly hooked and irreversibly affected his brain and soul… For the past 15 years, he has been seen wandering in front of DJ booths of France, Belgium and Vietnam, seeking for any reminiscences of this synthesised voice’s souvenir, regardless of the genre of music. Since 2019, Robat has decided to channel the memory of this melancholy Electronic goddess and continue to share and spread her prophecy to the world through from behind the booth.....

Carrying a solid background in Serbian scene by appearing in the local reference EXIT festival and being resident DJ for Club Tunnel Novi Sad, Techa always brings his powerful and colorful music by selecting old school techno, house and electro tracks. Youssef The fresh faced Moroccan has been developing his style fast, always ready to throw down. Traveling through time and space, moods and cultures. He may begin with you in the far East and wrap up with the sounds of Berlin. Charismatic. His ear for intricate beats that move the room has helped vastly as he's been finding himself as a DJ, after offering huge support of the music scene in Vietnam with endeavors such as Sacred hill festival, HANYA NIGHT, and Electric Bazaar, as well as being instrumental in the growth of the collaborative outfit Sacred Sounds.

PHOQ TV's most obvious intention is to show that, even when represented in the most realistic way, a television is not a television. It is simply a picture of television that cannot be stuffed or smoked, as it would be with a real television. Undefined figures have a meaning as perfect and equally necessary as defined figures.

Growing up in Moscow influenced by hip hop and old school love songs, Zwi finds his personal style resulting in a timeless sound that is as grimy as it is sensual. Expect a face-scrunching blend of dark and groovy from an avid digger showcasing introspective house, UKG, techno and electro. Zwi is resident DJ at Hanoi-based Savage and pushing the local party scene through METRØ.
