洞穴 The Cave Taichung

Firstly Kind of Blue Records（感傷唱片行）is an exhibition project, sponsored by CMP Creative Lab in November, 2016. Customers could listen and buy cassettes directly at here. In the beginning the duration of the event was only one and a half months. However, the project was highly recommended by fans. After a year, I decided to convert the exhibition to an actual cassette shop and make the project idea sustainable. The project idea was from two of my interests: music and writing. The reason why I chose cassette tape as the theme was because tapes could be seen clearly when rewinding, which was different from CD and vinyl. Also the process of rewinding tapes was like inversion, a term of writing. Just like telling stories through these tapes. With these tapes which have faded away for almost 20 years, I hope every customer could back to the nostalgia era and arouse the connection between cassettes and themselves with a view to visiting the shop.
