With the COVID-19 pandemic having gone on for more than a year, that meant an end to international touring for DJs and producers. In the meantime, clubs have had to make do with local acts or find other ways to feature international talent. Likewise, with attempts to get COVID-19 under control through vaccination campaigns and the like, the pace at which different places have opened up is different. 

BORDERLESS, then, is an upcoming event series involving international DJs streaming performances in Berlin’s AVA Club. Two DJs or live acts will play aside two German counterparts per week. Namely, without international touring, this has sometimes meant that it is difficult to give clubbers and artists themselves new stimuli—the event hopes to change this. 

This weekend, BORDERLESS will be exploring the nexus between Hong Kong and Berlin, with performances by Jeremy Cheung and Ocean Lam featured alongside Berlin-based DJs BB Deng, originally from Taiwan, and Basstronauten, as well as AVA resident DJs.
