After Japan’s Tokyo Community Radio and China’s Baihui, the world welcomes Echobox, a new  independent radio station from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Echobox launched its first live broadcast on July 29th at 10am, with the first show hosted by the station’s radio maker, Tieson Smith, for the two-hour programme Donnie’s Dream Show. It was followed by other programmes by other Echobox’s radio makers.

Echobox was founded by a team consisting of Chalice Cox-Hynd, Victor Crezée, Mohamed Ghabri, Rachella Groen, and Lorenzo Milelli. According to their social media press release, the radio station had been in the making twelve months prior to its first live broadcast. It was opened for radio show pitching from March 23rd, 2021 to May 18, 2021.

The underground radio station is aired four days a week from Thursday to Sunday, with three days featuring live and local programmes, and one day with its broadcasters. Its programmes are broadcasted live on their official website.

Listeners can check out their latest info and programme timetable on their official website, or follow their updates on their Instagram page.
