Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, Borusiade aka Miruna Boruzescu started dj-ing in 2002 as one of the very few female DJs in the city’s emerging alternative clubbing scene. Influenced by a classical musical education, a bachelor in film direction and fascinated by raw electronic sounds Borusiade combined these universes in the construction of her DJ sets and starting 2005 also in her music production. Her sound is gloomy and epic, with beats that touch one’s deepest senses on the dance-floor. Expatriated in Berlin, and after experimenting with different projects, Borusiade slowly crystallised a sound of her own, often dark, with poignant bass lines, obsessive themes and by all means melodic. After her successful debut EP “Jeopardy” on Cómeme in 2016, “Feelings Of Entropy” came out the same year on Jennifer Cardini’s label Correspondant. 2017 she released a split EP on Veronica Vassika’s acclaimed label Cititrax, carving her way into a more industrial sound and proving the complexity of her production. Being asked to describe his own music, Christian Löffler states that he tries to combine melancholy with euphoria. „All my music is connected by a gloomy spirit, which is minted by a warm sincerity. I try to merge all kinds of different acoustic colors to obtain this feeling in my music.” Löffler started to play music by the age of 14. Living in a secluded region, lacking a musical surrounding, he had to teach himself the essentials of making electronic music. Before long he developed his own deep and moving sound, colored with a melancholic undertone- Music for the soul & for the body. He recalls a variety of music styles he listened to as a child and teenager that were highly influential to his own development as a musician. Due to the fact that Löffler is also working as a visual artist, he’s following the same approach when making music that he’s following when painting or taking photos. It is more about telling a story than making everything accessible right from the start. In the course of the production of EP’s like „Heights”, „Raise” and „Aspen”, Löffler developed some strategies to use acoustic material in his music. Amongst others he samples different stringed instruments, percussion and atmospheres. He continues working with the recordings on the computer, combining, layering and alternating them. For his debut album „A Forest“ he enriched his sound collages by co-working with singers like Gry and Mohna. An Album in the spirit of the enchanting woods of his home region. The extraordinary capacities of this young producer have kept eyes and ears closely following the fresh talent as Löffler’s deep moving melancholic sound, is absolutely irresistible. Chilean born, now Berlin based producer, DJ and label owner of Melisma Series, Melisma Limited, Cure Music and Melcure Chile’s profound impact on electronic music is unquestionable. From Ricardo Villalobos to Luciano, the country has punched above its weight when it comes to discerning electronica. Another artist who firmly belongs among such esteemed company is Felipe Valenzuela. Now based in Berlin, Valenzuela is more than a DJ/producer - he’s a qualified sound engineer and a label owner of considerable repute. Prolific, technical and a performer boasting a magical and unique sound, Valenzuela’s musical nous and ability to read a crowd (bolstered by an impeccable collection of hard-to-spot records) has led him to some of the globe’s foremost nightspots. From Amnesia in Ibiza to Frankfurt’s Robert Johnson to Paris’ Concrete, he’s left his mark on some of the world’s most famous ‘floors. Franco Cinelli was born in Rosario, Argentina in 1978. He's one of the most well known techno DJ/Producer in Argentina. Being just 14 years old, he started his djing career. Interested in drums, he started to research about creation and development of music thru computers and samplers. In 1995, inspired by the sounds of Detroit, he made his very first tracks. As the years were going thru, Cinelli was gaining experience, and became a key player in the argentine scene. His DJ sets are an harmonic blend between different styles rounded by a flawless mixing technique.

“Deep”, perhaps the word most associated with the career of Fred P, and for once, an accurate portrayal. Eleven albums, innumerable releases and decades of Djing into his career, the New York-turned-Berlin resident continues to push further into his own sound, craft, and mind.

New York-born DJ and Lot Radio resident Gabrielle Kwarteng is on a steady, slow-burning rise upward. Her guest shows won her a Mixcloud Online Radio Award and a regular slot, which garnered her a loyal following and led to bookings across NY and beyond. Gabrielle Kwarteng’s journey so far is one of passion, dedication and the occasional strike of fate. Born and raised in New York, Kwarteng’s name has recently risen in prominence throughout a challenging time for dance music and club culture. A DJ, radio host and curator, her sets have recently enchanted Panorama Bar in Berlin (four times in less than twelve months, no less), equally vital club spaces such as NYC’s Nowadays and Manchester’s own White Hotel, as well as a span of festivals including Love International, Glastonbury, Melt and Dekmantel Selectors. Listening to Kwarteng, whether in a cavernous rave hall, a sweat-soaked underground club or making intimate selections on the radio, is an experience that feels at once familiar but always energizing. Kwarteng’s diverse taste and open-mindedness lead first, allowing her to fluidly slip through a mix of heady 80s and 90s NY house, disco interpretations that traverse diaspora and eras, percussive passages alongside boldly broken beats and, as the lights get lower, an undeniable acid undercurrent. In an era of everything at once, Kwarteng weaves stories for the dancefloor that often look to the past, but always focus on possible futures. Kwarteng arrived at this position via a mixture of study and circumstance. Born in Brooklyn to Ghanaian parents but raised in the Bronx, her childhood was soundtracked by a mix of first-wave Highlife, Afrobeat and disco. Outside her front door, in a thriving neighborhood of diverse American experiences, entire sounds and scenes expanded and exploded as pop-culture began to mutate in new ways, both online and off. Crossing to Manhattan for school, the tempo changed entirely as rock, hip hop and experimental music filled Kwarteng’s ears while she studied intensely. Her academic focus was paramount, but Kwarteng couldn’t help but drift back towards the beat. First, from sciences to arts, where, at an esteemed upstate New York university, her dedication to trawling music blogs rendered Kwarteng the de facto DJ for house parties. She also began broadcasting on college radio; her daybreak show was a particular hit with professors arriving to work early to mark before lectures. Bouncing back to New York, Kwarteng continued to present a show on the burgeoning online radio station The Lot. In 2017, she was presented with the Mixcloud Online Radio Award for Best Eclectic Show, an early and completely unexpected acknowledgement of an instinct for music that traversed genre expectations. In parallel, Kwarteng played each and every Saturday night in the majestic ballroom of the SoHo Grand, amassing vinyl for a residency that helped define the uptown musical scene with her own downtown sensibilities. Now based in Europe, Kwarteng continues to criss-cross not only genres, but continents. Overcoming her inherent introversion to nervously approach Giles Peterson at a record store in Paris proved fortuitous; so impressed was the storied DJ by Kwarteng’s show on local station Le Mellotron, he invited her to appear at his own festival, Worldwide. Appearances at suitably open-minded spaces in Madrid, London, Bristol, Copenhagen and Kyiv soon followed. Wherever she performs, Kwarteng’s expertise serves to not only continue the championing of Black American genres such as house, techno and disco, but equally, to explore the continuum of global dance music as a whole. Having laid the foundations for a unique musical journey, it’s a level of respect that’s tangible on any dancefloor. There, she co-founded SOLO, the first club dedicated exclusively to electronic music in her hometown. Now she continues that labor in Berlin with not one but two vital community-focused club nights. Her first called Mess, Mindful Electronic Sonic Selections, a forward thinking club night happening at OHM which have a focus on femme and queer artist from diverse cultural backgrounds, and it's dedicated to the celebration of diversity and supporting DIY club culture around the world. Her newest Mala Junta, which she co-founded along with Dj Tool and that counts with D.dan, Yazzus and Why Be as residents, is considered one of Berlin’s fiercest underground queer-techno parties, with a focus on inclusivity, Mala Junta approaches the faster, groovier edges of dance music with an open mind and a relentless spirit. Hyperaktivist have directly influenced a shift in the scene in Berlin, not only through introducing her Tribal euphoric fresh sounds, with great influence in her roots from Latin America and the Caribbean coast where she grew up, but also by constantly nurturing and pushing up her community and advocating political values of equality & diversity at the forefront of her projects. Since being selected as one of the Shape Platform for innovative music artists in 2016, she has been touring around the world. The Detroit electronic music group Inner City, one of the most influential dance acts of all time, commemorating 30 Years! The story of Inner City is intractably linked with its founder Kevin Saunderson, widely created as one of the progenitors of techno and a landmark figure in dance music. But while it intertwines with his own career, the group’s longevity – spanning wildfire success, indelible club classics, a handful of full-length albums, and sales of over six million worldwide – is a result of multiple independent chapters over a remarkable 30 year run time. In 2017, with Kevin’s son and creative protégé Danitez as a new addition to the group, a new one is unfolding. The beginning of Inner City as a project came in 1987, one of many creative outlets that could be traced back to Saunderson. The music he was playing and producing in Detroit at the time, alongside fellow The Belleville Three members Juan Atkins and Derrick May, laid the path for what came to be known as Techno, and birthed an entire global culture to follow. Inspired by marathon sets by pioneering DJs Ron Hardy and Larry Levan, Saunderson set out to break from the strictures of Detroit techno’s tracky, dark machine funk by adding vocals to his productions. Work with contemporaries at the time had led to a unique sound based on colourful keyboard chords and snappy drums – and, crucially, a chance collaboration with Chicago vocalist Paris Grey (née Shanna Jackson). With Paris Grey’s soaring vocals atop the catchy tracks, a winning combination was found for Inner City. The marriage of Detroit techno’s propulsive, insistent rhythms and pop’s vibrant, melodic uplift proved a winner; it was neither too positive for the underground, nor too gritty for commercial success. With a defining sound in place, Inner City songs began to spring up on influential compilations chronicling early Detroit techno music and the material was heavily bootlegged, before seeing official release in 1988. What followed was a whirlwind: “Big Fun” and “Good Life” dominated not only clubs but the charts, sweeping top 10s all across Europe, and starting a run of four consecutive No1s on the US Billboard Dance Chart. Their enduring popularity in club and radio rotation continues to this day, standing out as top-tier classics in the pantheon of modern music. The act arrived just at the right time, with the door wide open for dancefloor-ready anthems – especially in the UK, where a new culture based around free-spirited dance music and warehouse parties was developing rapidly. Paradise, their debut album, went Platinum in the UK, setting in motion years of high demand on the live touring circuit, and spawning further hit singles such as “Ain’t Nobody Better,” “Do You Love What You Feel”, and 1992’s “Pennies From Heaven” – featuring Kevin’s wife at the time and musical partner throughout, Ann Saunderson. Standalone releases split between Saunderson’s own KMS and Virgin’s 10 Records imprint continued through the 90s, and a greatest hits collection followed in 2003, but through the 2000s the Inner City project largely lay dormant. Paused out of respect for Grey’s desire to raise a family, the Saundersons continued their careers elsewhere: in Kevin’s case, as a popular producer, DJ, promoter and label runner; in Ann’s, as a fêted vocalist, most notably on Octave One’s “Blackwater” smash. To the delight of fans, Inner City was revived in the early 2010s with gigs at key clubs and festivals worldwide, with both Paris Grey and Ann Saunderson taking dual vocal roles. New material was forthcoming, too: 2011’s “Fantasy”, 2014’s “Bad Girl” – featuring remixes from a then 21-year-old and fast rising Danitez Saunderson – and, most recently, “Good Luck” in 2017, with Danitez integrated as a full member of the group. And so to the present day, with over three decades in the game under their collective wing: with a renewed commitment to live performances featuring a strong family core, and two generations of Saunderson men in the studio, Inner City look set to enjoy the good life as much in 2017 as they did in 1987.

He has recently had performances in clubs like ATV Records, Floyd, Treehouse and Apollo NYC and has appeared in lineups at other venues across the US with promoters such as Un_Mute, Resolute, Terrestrial Funk, Sarah Tonin, Alegria and Odd Pleasures. He has hosted events in venues across Spain including Goya 43 and has performed extensively in Mexico City where he, along with Colectivo Maankinal, hosted a monthly party at Yu Yu. Today, John Patrick has taken on a new task of curating his own record label, Elastic Bodies. This vinyl-only label promotes artists who create a unique and timeless sound. In 2023, Elastic Bodies will see its first releases, and John Patrick will release his own music through Mickeys Laundry Line and his own label, marking an exciting milestone in his career.

John Raffaele brings life to the dance floor leaving listener's nothing short of exhilarated., the spawn of Subsurface and Impressions Philadelphia has engaged John deeper into creating his own sound. DJing since 2011, New York native John Raffaele has been bringing life to dancefloors in the US and abroad on countless occasions. His tireless work and commitment to nightlife and music culture with his projects Subsurface (party) & Impressions Philly (record store) could be described as an unquenchable thirst for more. After relocating to Philadelphia in 2016, John wasted no time working dancefloors across the city for underground local crews. After 2 years in the Philadelphia circuit, John teamed up with his partner and one of his closest friends, Keen in December 2017 to launch the now accredited warehouse party series- Subsurface, to channel their vision into their own experience to share with others in Philadelphia. Since then they have wasted no time reshaping the mold of underground parties in Philadelphia hosting artists such as Anthony Parasole, Omar S, John Dimas, Steve O’Sullivan, and more recently Hamish & Toby, Brawther, Analog Soul, Christian AB and more with no signs of slowing down. In August of 2020, during the pandemic John had been digging for records at such a frequent rate, and being out of gigs with little income- he spawned Impressions Philadelphia, an online/ pop-up record store, filling a void for dance music record shopping in Philly. Last year she featured on some of the capital's biggest line ups including Junction 2, Village Underground, Tobacco Dock and The Cause festival. Late 2022 saw KT break the London circuit with international performances at ION festival plus appearances in Milan, Rome, Lisbon, Kosovo and New York. Her versatile taste offers you sounds of rare 90’s house, electro, trance, garage, breaks and everything in-between. Lena Willikens doesn’t play the hits. When she’s behind the decks, even her biggest fans often have no idea exactly what she’s playing, and that’s part of the magic. Like all DJs, Willikens of course has a passion for records and is always on the hunt for elusive bits of music, but as an artist, her work doesn’t hinge on any one track or even a handful of tracks. She’s after something bigger, something that’s truly transportive for those on the dancefloor, and the tracks she plays – whether they’re bizarre slices of synth exploration, some ominously churning proto-industrial stomp, or something else that simply defies classification – are all parts of a larger, more psychically satisfying whole. These days, however, Willikens' radio adventures happen on NTS, where she pilots the monthly Lightning Conductor program. Now based in Amsterdam, her curatory prowess prompted an invite from Dekmantel to put together the fifth installment of their acclaimed Selectors compilation series, and she also contributed a track to the label’s run of all-star 10th anniversary EPs. As a remixer, she's been tapped in recent years to rework the likes of Lena Platonos, rRoxymore, S U R V I V E, Simian Mobile Disco, and Ana Helder, amongst others. And amidst all this activity, she's also been busy with Phantom Kino Ballett, a collaboration with artist Sarah Szczesny that lands somewhere between immersive audio-visual experience and performance art, allowing Willikens to indulge her transportive impulses in a completely new way. Whether you experience her musical activities or those relating to her contemporary arts practice, curiosity is a key aspect gracing Femke Dekker (real name). In her longstanding Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting on Red Light Radio you are invited to a gifted mind seeking the outliers, one that avoids linearity, towards a space where intuition and understanding meet. As Loma Doom, her signature style revolves around electronic experimentalism, both for mind and movement, while actively incorporating styles predating the computer era, sourcing from her fondness for freak folk, psychedelic and hardcore punk. Raised in Rome, the DJ and Producer takes influence from the timeless italian sound, which he’s further developed with an emotional, swirling, dubby atmosphere. There’s an unmistakable texture to his productions. While prolific, Tozzi has kept his output within a close family of labels. Swedish label Hypnus are key here, having released a number of the producer’s EPs as well as his acclaimed debut album, Deep Blue: Volume 2, in 2016. Alongside Hypnus, Tozzi has worked closely with Mental Modern and Outis Music, releasing both solo as well as collaborative work with the label’s founder, Dino Sabatini. Tozzi’s unswerving commitment to his sound, alongside his pensive and considered development as an artist has brought him to where he is today, with a touring schedule that’s taken him to some of the finest clubbing establishments around the world. Within this, he maintains a residency at Khidi, Tbilisi, which in recent years has emerged as one of the best clubbing destinations in europe. Beyond the decks, Mel is equally invested in the fiercely political roots of rave. Through collaboration with local organizations, care teams and community members, she aims to create spaces that offer knowledge and resources related to substance use, consent and discrimination. It is in these spaces that celebration can become a radical protest against structural shame and oppression.

Mika Oki is a visual artist, Dj and producer born in Paris. With a background in sculpture and electro-acoustic music, she explore the notion of intangible spaces and emotional landscapes through AV installations, music and mixes. Like a sculptor who knows that the slightest miscalculated move of a chisel could damage the totality of an artwork, Mika Oki’s selections elude great mastery and undeniable preparation. Doing wonders in her many radio shows, it’s difficult to realise her taste in rumbles and undeniable love for sounds from across the Channel (drum and bass, UK garage, 2-step, grime…) before seeing her on the dancefloor. Never hesitating to alternate a 90s dance anthem with an obscure juke track, she also manages to gather seemingly disparate and conflicting elements together, creating an incredible coherence. Percussive but generous, erudite yet uninhibited, she pieces together unique mixes that never cease to surprise. Eternal dreamer, she uses abstract sound textures and kinetic images to generate mind trips, body journeys through music performances and immersive installations. She also developed an interest in Djing in clubs and radio shows where she translate her atmospherical experimentations, blurring The boundaries between techno, dub and ambient/narrative sounds. Palms Trax is a producer and Dj based in Berlin, Germany. His first record was released in October of 2013 on London-based imprint Lobster Theremin. For aspiring DJs and producers, or indeed anyone who appreciates a good story, the genesis of Palms Trax couldn’t have read any dreamier. You know the one; curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Later, stumbling around Berlin, his primitive attempts to emulate the sound of his newfound heroes accidentally land him a bona fide dance floor hit. A gradual but steady stream of EPs courtesy of Dutch dance music powerhouse Dekmantel have allowed his productions to blossom in richer, smoother directions. On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house - euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys - are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion. It’s that same connection with Dekmantel that has encouraged Donaldson to quickly, impressively evolve as a DJ of some distinctive taste and talent. A memorable performance at Dekmantel’s flagship Amsterdam festival in 2015 captured open hearts, lost minds and aching feet. Since then, the sound of Palms Trax has been a fixture on their enormous main stage, drifting seamlessly between vintage house, esoteric disco and the various shades of a bubbling UK underground he has helped define. A young Raphael Carrau sits at his terrace for the entire procession, entranced by the visceral thump-thump that will lead him, decades later, to where he is now: bobbing behind a pair of decks at Cartulis, his very own contribution to the world of London clubbing. Raised on a steady diet of hip hop, bossa nova and the kind of psychedelic rock that Brazil knows how to do so well, Rapha landed in London in 2011 only to rediscover his love for music, this time from a dance floor. An obsession was born, with the Brazilian-Uruguayan DJ taking his time to pick through any record bin he came across—because "you never know when your lucky day might come". It's this optimism that has infused the way he strings tracks together and become the driving ethos behind his participation in London's Cartulis collective. Alongside colleague-turned-brother Unai Trotti, the project aims to sensitise the local dance music scene by doing away with the flash and posturing—replacing it with an unwavering dedication to quality music and positive experiences. For Refracted, electronic music, and techno in particular, is the chosen medium to find his unique voice, to connect. And a growing number of people, wanting more from techno than formulaic entertainment and a soundtrack to dance to, are connecting with his particular vision and peculiar sound. This might be because Refracted´s music feels as fundamentally human as it sounds otherworldly. It is techno more as an idea and conduit, than as an easily-labeled sound. It is dance music where layered rhythms act almost on a neural, sub epidermal level, while moving and evolving soundscapes acquire a tactile, understated physicality. Paramount examples of this can be found on releases on Refracted's own Mind Express label, and on celebrated labels like Canadian ambient/deep-techno imprint Silent Season and Pole Group, his path unravelling further, a mind set on favoring unflinching quality over quantity. Renowned as an adept producer too, Rob has travelled the world, spinning records at a long list of highly respected, influential clubs with residencies at El Row and Paradise (DC10) plus a slew of international gigs. In recent times he has invested his time and energy into setting up several new projects outside of his solo work, allowing him to explore his eclectic tastes further. As these projects begin to come fruition Rob is preparing for a new phase of his career, and he couldn’t be more excited… That first season on the White Island led to two more consecutive summers, during which time Rob made the connections that formed the foundation of his success. Alongside his DJing, Rob has had a consistent flow of well-received EPs, including the killer ‘Malibu EP’ with Burnski back in 2010 and, more recently, ‘Seagate’ on Steve Lawler’s VIVa Music in 2015. Now Rob is injecting his years of experience on the road and depth of knowledge into several projects that have allowed him to explore his wide-ranging tastes. He became possessed by the relationship of frequency and acoustics, through many genres. As a teen, he was mentored by his father and uncle on the fundamentals of setting up his sound system. Influenced by the Mexican electronic music scene, and inspired by his hometown DJs, Robert was driven to bring more diversity to South Texas. The inception of his career as a DJ/Promoter was brought to life by 18. Through beach-raves, utilizing generators and local talent, he first showcased his understanding and passion for music. This sent waves through his community sparking a new scene in South Texas, allowing Robert to host international DJs at his club residency for the following two years. His motivation to expand his knowledge brought him to Austin, TX, to attend audio engineering school and immerse himself into the Austin electronic music scene. Robert’s ambition for a select caliber of sound led him to spearhead Movement Collective, a party-series based in Berlin and Austin, hosting multiple residencies throughout his tenure. The “movement” this inspired in Austin, ignited Blacktone, an agency and party series, founded by Robert’s friends and colleagues which he is now a part of. Furthering his relentless mission to develop and share diverse music, Robert co-founded ubiyu, a record label and party series in Austin, TX. ̸BIOGRAPHY Sofus Forsbergs music is a electronic music producer and mastering engineer. Coming from a more acoustic musical background where he experimented and improvised with jazz, funk and metal, Sofus Forsberg was born north of Copenhagen in 1970. Since quite a while he now lives in Berlin, and has gained deep inspiration from everything around him, and the fact that the German capital is so active in the electronic music movement. “Music is, and has always been my life”, says Sofus, “ and seeing the effects it has on people there have never been a doubt in me, about that this is what i want to do.” From the early days back in 1992 he has played all over the world, including numerous concerts with his guitar and his band, and from 1998 in electronic music gigs. Sofus is also a teacher. He is generous in spreading his knowledge, and has a lot of experience with all the aspects of music creation. Although he has relatively few releases, his live shows have made him one of the crucial personalities of the Danish electronic music scene. His latest release, FM Volta, on the Berlin based Mindwaves Music, shows Forsberg’s love of modular synthesizers and drum machines, through which he creates his melodic bliss, rhythmically experimental, and extremely beautiful music. This album is full of diversity, and curiously explores many aspects of today’s IDM music. Now based in Berlin In Fernando Zapico, one can find a rare combination: a producer with a talent for creating timeless pieces of electronic dance music, who at the same time is able to shine bright as a selector and club DJ. What is it about Z@p that has made him such an idiosyncratic spirit in a sea of fresh DJs and producers emerging on a daily basis? One could look at his background; after all, being native to Uruguay, a grail of modern dance music with a rich legacy to learn from, definitely helps. Yet a strong infatuation with club culture and electronic music since the early 2000´s in the Montevideo scene has fostered him to develop and progress on a consistent basis. This same fascination led him to meet and become affiliated with the crew behind Phonotheque, a club and collective of which he is now a lifelong resident. Yet Nando is not just a representation of a culture but a representation of himself, of his edge. Perhaps this edge is the way to look at his music. Operating within a framework of conventional dance music, Z@p, as a DJ, is universally aligned to deliver his signature sound in various settings for various crowds. The beats are all-consuming, tension builds and releases organically, and there is not much left but to dance the night away under his skillful lead. But once you get sucked into the atmosphere, dissonance, carefully placed disruptions, otherworldly basslines, resonating acid, bended vocals, and seemingly contradicting narratives appear and start taking you on a whole other trip.
