  • Amaliah

̸BIOGRAPHY Amaliah is a London based DJ and producer with an eclectic taste in sound. She also runs her own label, 'Borne Fruits'. Borne Fruits boss and Rinse FM staple Amaliah commands the rave as one of London’s most exciting artists, hybridizing modern house and techno sounds with global club cuts rooted in a love of soundsystem culture. Emerging from a lineage of inspired ravers immersed in the wide-eyed rush of dubstep’s golden era at Plastic People and London’s vibrant soundsystem culture, Amaliah has transcended these proud influences to stake her own inimitable claim within her native city’s ever-crowded clubbing landscape. Her DJ sets are signified by a purposeful energy informed by years of raving, where she unleashes anything from prog-laden house cuts alongside tribal techno pumpers before diving headfirst into percussive bass warpers and beyond. Crucially, these eclectic club styles sing harmoniously under her exhilarating party stewardship, exposing years of record digging and a general obsession with electronic music. This is exhibited with an impressive archive of mixes for the likes of Boiler Room, Crack Magazine, Hör and a much-loved Rinse FM residency, while also in standout sets at venerable institutions Panorama Bar, De School and Fabric and at festivals like Glastonbury, Love International, Gala and Waterworks. 2019 saw Amaliah establish Borne Fruits, a party collective-turned-label where she made her production debut with Borne Fruits 001 before a further various artists compilation release Club Entry Vol. 1 and an 2 track edits single with venerable Derry hero Or:la titled Y2SLAY followed to great acclaim. More solo productions of hers have dropped since on Earful Of Wax and her own imprint, characterized by driving and playful percussion and an unadulterated raver’s energy built for maximum club impact. This exciting year ahead sees Amaliah joining the Hessle Audio trio at Glastonbury for their The Wow stage takeover, making her debut at Draaimolen Festival and hosting a boat party at Love International as well as a b2b with Aletha at the festival's The Garden Stage. Her label and own productions continue apace too, with a forthcoming bumper-packed Borne Fruits compilation and a highly anticipated full solo debut EP prepped for the end of this year; all of this proving her boundless talent reaching unfathomable heights over the coming months.

̸BIOGRAPHY 🌙 MUTANTE DEL SWANA🌙 🧿 BLITZ MUNICH RESIDENT 🧿 Her name may derive from the Turkish word for ‘different’, but its energy translates into every aspect of BASHKKA’s self-expression. From slaying the dancefloor with sensually acerbic sets to her ardent advocation of the cultural, political and de-colonial advancement of electronic music, BASHKKA is breathing fresh air into the scene with everything she sets her mind to. Irreversibly shaped by a decade living in New York and the Black & Brown trans women who inspired her truest incarnation, BASHKKA brings the flavour and authenticity of The Big Apple’s Ballroom scene to every party she plays. From her hometown residency at Munich’s Blitz Club to Berghain’s Panorama Bar, where she’s quickly become a regular, her sets channel an intoxicating energy that’s self-professedly “CUNT!” And on the other side of the booth, BASHKKA’s unapologetic integrity is echoed in her unwavering activism and commitment to her community. Through her vocal politics and dedication to SWANA and queer representation in the scene, BASHKKA is reimagining the counter-cultural potential of electronic music’s origins for the contemporary club sphere. Her debut EP, forthcoming in 2023, will see BASHKKA’s brazen attitude blended with a highly underrated technical prowess.

  • Danielle

̸BIOGRAPHY When a true selector takes flight, it sounds as though they re-mould each track to fit their specific vision. That’s exactly the effect Danielle has as a DJ, drawing across stylistic divides to create an instinctive groove which is all her own. On top of a foundational core of house, techno and electro she folds in myriad sonic wildcards to create dynamic, innovative variations on the club music experience. It’s logical her tastes would be omnivorous – Danielle spent 10 years working at fabled London record shop Phonica, one of the definitive destinations for dance music in the city, as well as a lengthy tenure at iconic Bristol store Idle Hands. Being across new releases week in, week out is one thing, but knowing how to stitch them together is another. From the breakthrough years perfecting the craft of a great warm-up to her long-standing residency on NTS Radio since 2017, Danielle shaped her approach to DJing from a free-thinking, fluid angle which still rings true now she’s more commonly found at the top of the bill. Danielle’s DJing has touched upon vital events, venues and locations around the world, from touring the US and playing flagship festivals like Glastonbury, Dimensions, Kala and Love International, to clubs like DC10, Fabric, The White Hotel, Corsica Studios and Tresor, holding down a residency season for Colour Factory in London and Left Bank in Tbilisi, and frequently picked for parties as revered as Timedance, Herrensauna and Livity Sound. In tandem, her skills have been recognised by key publications including Mixmag, DJ Mag (she was nominated as a best breakthrough DJ in 2020) and Resident Advisor. Beyond her own DJ work (she’s also a frequent contributor to many a mix series), Danielle also takes the time to impart her experience and knowledge to the next generation via her classes at Mix Nights – a non-profit organisation she helped set up seven years ago to encourage women and non-binary people to explore the art of DJing. Elsewhere, she works in an A&R and consultancy capacity for Team Love – a role which speaks to her consistent instinct for new developments within club music. Similarly, her label Soft Raw was founded in 2022 as a platform to champion the fresh talent she comes across in her position as a revered DJ. All these elements feed into the overall mission Danielle is on, pursuing her love of dynamic, physical soundsystem music with errant coding in its DNA. Keyed into new revolutions in the ever-evolving culture of the dancefloor, Danielle melds her impeccable taste together with fierce commitment and flair, delivering the impulse to move and presenting wholly new ideas to any crowd, any party, any time, anywhere.

̸BIOGRAPHY Amsterdam raised, London based hardcore and jungle DJ. Mixtress features as DJ Mag’s Ones to Watch for 2022, and rightly so. Playing high octane sets across the UK and Europe, she’s captured the ears of an intergenerational audience weaving nostalgic tracks with a contemporary bassweight and breakbeat sound. Fresh off the back of a Boiler room, she’s made waves as a mainstay on Keep Hush, Hor berlin, and debuted sold out shows at some of the most notable clubs in the country. Balancing leftfield jungle with digs from her dogsonacid forum days, she’s kept a heady and diverse selection as the most important part of her performances. Behind her djing however, Mixtress is a strong advocate for equitable change and political action within music, with her prior work at Sisu crew and work with promoters to keep the music scene fair, accessible and equal. She’s an avid whosampled contributor, jazz record collector and an all around amen break enthusiast.

An amazing selector who has been regularly playing all over Europe with a remarked appearance at Dekmantel festival last year. In the space of just a few years, Nosedrip made a name for himself with the persistence and focus of a kid that wants to prove all his bullies wrong. From running a regular ambient show on his Mixcloud-page, which has a staggering 30.000+ followers, he went on to launch Stroom.tv. The platform caused quite some waves in the online radio community because of its unique mixture of oddball playlists and distinctive aesthetics. In 2016, his radio show moved to NTS and Stroom.tv turned into a record label focusing on heritage, with Ziggy spitting out killer archival releases from the likes of Alain Neffe, Jan Van den broeke, Vazz and Latvian avant-gardists NSRD.

  • AGY3NA

̸BIOGRAPHY ✨🧑🏿‍🦱✨ AGY3NA grew up in Nürnberg, a city in Bavaria, Germany. At a young age, he first got in touch with music through different ensembles, where he played both baritone and percussion. Ignited by his early endeavors into Berlin’s gay nightlife, he began DJing at local clubs and bars. He soon started to perform regularly back home in Nürnberg, while also curating and organizing concerts and parties as part of an independent promoter collective. By mixing music from different genres and decades, AGY3NA often creates a feeling of nostalgia on the dancefloor, while always keeping his focus on playful rhythms and uplifting transitions. When he stands behind the decks, AGY3NA connects to his own feelings of freedom on the dancefloor. His music selection gravitates towards spacey, explorative, and rhythm-focused House and Electro. Afrofuturism, an aesthetic that explores the intersection of African culture and futuristic icons, plays a leading role in his artistic work. It not only connects his intrinsic urge for experimentation with his artistic expression, but also links it with his identity as a black man growing up in Germany. His projects are a result of the frictions related to this intersectional identity, which creates a unique narrative that cannot be ignored when listening to his music. After finishing his first degree in psychology, AGY3NA moved to Berlin to pursue a masters in cognitive science, while finetuning his DJing skills. Two years later, he moved to Leipzig, where he currently parallels his music projects with his research interests.

  • Alex Krell

Tractor-driving, mud-spattered Alex Krell is a Lithuanian producer riding a new wave of deep and dark techno. Alex Krell makes techno. He is also a petrolhead who lists Queen, Nirvana and Led Zeppelin as his influences, and he loves driving a tractor in the tiny Lithuanian village where he spends a lot of time. This impossibly bizarre background gives Alex Krell’s productions a uniquely dark and earthy energy that makes his techno stand out from the crowd of sterile Berlin copycats. The stadium-rock influence drives Alex’s melodic and emotional approach to chord sequences and arrangements, hip-hop provides a sense of swagger, and driving a tractor all day apparently makes you choose pounding, powerful, relentless beats at night. Techno is Alex Krell’s second love. He cannot live without motorsport, on four wheels or two wheels, but preferably loud and dirty. Normally techno wouldn’t be a suitable soundtrack for an extreme sports video, but Alex pours adrenalin, euphoria and danger into his music, making it fit perfectly on the Wipeout soundtrack, or Grand Theft Auto. When he’s not reading magazines about combustion engines, Alex is in the studio tuning synthesizers and firing up four-cylinder kickdrums. The retro flavours of his rock and rave influences are blended with some kind of weird chemical found only in his native Lithuanian water. Alicia is a DJ, producer and co-founder of London-based club night Terra Obscura. • Altern-8

Altern 8 is an Early UK Rave music band originally featuring Mark Archer and Chris Peat (Peat left the group in 1994) They were one of the UK rave bands of the early 1990s whose trademark was loud electronic tracks with a heavy bass line. Altern 8 was formed in Stafford in 1990, as a side project to the already successful Nexus 21 (a name chosen because of its "futuristic House sound), when both members were 21. From the outset the band's objective was to develop their style which was heavily influenced by the musical elements of other Detroit House music artists Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson, as well as the Chicago sound of Phuture and early electronic heroes Kraftwerk. Altern 8 tunes changed the world of Rave music, influencing many artists, with their mixture of the sounds of the Roland TB-303, 808 and 909 with breakbeats and familiar samples. At the time in the UK, outdoor rave events were legal, and Altern-8 had a reputation for turning up to play at major unofficial events. They helped to define harder House tracks relying more heavily on bass and volume. The use of more bass and eclectic noises gradually evolved Altern 8's music away from the earlier House music style. The duo, dressed in chemical warfare suits and dancing "like electrified monkeys", took part in a large number of live performances. Notable Altern 8 tracks include "Activ 8", "E vapor 8", "Frequency", "Brutal 8 E", "Armageddon", "Move my body", "Hypnotic St8" and "Infiltrate 202". The band produced an album on the Network Records label in 1992 called Full On... Mask Hysteria. In 1992, Peat entered as a candidate for the Stafford constituency in the General Election representing the Hardcore (Altern8-ive) party. He polled 158 votes and finished in fourth place. In 1993, Archer began producing as Slo Moshun with Danny Taurus, responsible for Bells of N.Y., and Xen Mantra. Altern 8's somewhat surreal image made for dramatic photographs and videos, but the same PR that helped to sell their music was eventually used against the rave movement, as the UK tabloid press published stories about the dangers of ecstasy, illegal raves and their impact on the countryside, resulting in the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. Avalon Emerson is from the desert. While she currently lives in Berlin, the music she produces comes from the dreamlike expanse and abstract textures of the Sonoran landscapes of Arizona. Her journey has taken her from that sunbaked state to the contemporary dance music mecca via a long stint in San Francisco, where she cut her teeth as a DJ in the city's storied warehouse party scene. In her DJ sets and productions now, she offers a timeless narrative that reflects a passion for the sound design of new wave, the futurism of techno, the soul of American house and the exuberance of rave. • B. GODSun

The Black Gold Of Da Sun is known as one of Lithuania's rising talents in nightlife bringing soul, sass & seduction to every function. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York as a professionally trained dancer and singer, music was something that was naturally embedded in Dane’s blood. With over a decade of creating and performing in the arts the natural progression towards DJing was imminent. Inspired by one of his favourite songs, Dane aligned with the moniker of B. GODSun, which stands for Black Gold Of Da Sun. Starting at his home of Lizdas (Kaunas, LT), he has quickly become one of Lithuania’s most beloved and charismatic DJs and nightlife figures. From establishing a long standing residency at Radio Vilnius, one of Lithuania's popular radio stations, to commanding every stage he embraces, B. GODSun’s rise is one to watch closely. Everything from the sounds of soulful/melodic House to Afro-House, Ghetto House and even the bombastic beats of the Ballroom scene is what you can expect to hear at B. GODSun set — he’s not one to shy away from challenging himself and the crowd to a guaranteed ass shaking time on the dance floor. In true Brooklynite fashion, B. GODSun spreads love, escape and ecstasy through House, where everyone is welcome to feel at home.

  • Bonzai Bonner

̸BIOGRAPHY Bonzai Bonner, perhaps more colloquially heralded and cheered for as ‘Bonner’ when hammering out Hi-Nrg and Italo in the clubs of Glasgow, has become one of the city’s most influential DJ’s and caretakers. Their approach and work behind the scenes has helped to inspire a new generation of community driven artists, creatives and parties having sought every opportunity to rally for an open minded dance floor and to encourage self expression. Bonner is the pioneering force behind the infamous LGBTQ+ party Shoot Your Shot - a party which has helped champion leftfield dance and electronic music in Glasgow. The parties are joyous, captivating affairs which always leave revellers with a story or two to tell. Smoky rooms, dimly lit, become the backdrop to a whirlwind extravaganza as Bonner commands dancers through the night with long free flowing mixing. Euphoric highs are paired alongside delicate poignant selections reminiscent of the collective escapism and abandonment they seek to find for themselves upon the dance floor. None of this has come without hard work. Bonner has been a prominent presence amidst the Scottish club scene for many years, working doors, promoting parties and hustling fearlessly for a better, more connected scene and the inclusion of those who seek to find comfort in the same music and escapism that they love. Whilst Bonner strives to enlighten dancers, their music is often paired with moody, darker undertones. Drawing upon influences from Post Punk, EBM and Synth Pop - Bonner is a product of an industrial city, a city with an edge in which experiences can shape and solidify an individual. Bonner’s formative years were spent hanging out with friends, honing knowledge in records stores, dancing in murky offbeat bars and underage clubs. The soundtrack? A wild mixture of everything from Joy Division to Bauhaus, Klaus Nomi to Pete Burns, The Pet Shop Boys and beyond. Their tastes evolved as a result of the eclectic chaos which was Glasgow at a time in which groundbreaking bands were formed in the city, when the likes of Alan Miller commanded the culture and creative opportunity lurked on dark street corners and in backstreet basements. It is this ethos which rings true and commands Bonner’s inspiration and drive in the present, this ethos which has lead to the revered success of Shoot Your Shot. Bonner is the result of a whirlwind of musical experiences, rooted in a humble city, which have lead to the conscious, progressive sounds of a DJ with unique taste and integrity.

  • DAR DISKU

̸BIOGRAPHY Dar Disku is an independent record label and dj collective founded in 2019 and based between London and Bahrain - championing the sounds of the Middle East, Asia and beyond. 'Dar-Disku' comes from the 1970s Egyptian pop culture magazine of the same name and directly translates into 'home of the disco'. Dar Disku is a label celebrating music from across Arabia. Founded by Mazen AlMaskati and Vish Matre in 2019; the label encompasses all things High NRG, New Beat, Strange and Pure. Growing up less than a mile apart in Bahrain with a shared fascination with discovering new music, the duo quickly bonded over digging for unheard rarities and burning mixtapes to show friends and strangers, and till today, this remains changed. Whether at a house party, over a traditional Bahraini meal or at a local underground gig, chats about left field music would always spiral from one artist to the next and back, but more and more, talks about music turned into talks about culture and soon enough; home. Mazen and Vish left Bahrain with pockets full of Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk and Benga. But looking back across the water, the music their parents played on dusty turntables, the art and culture that surrounded them their entire lives became more than nostalgic, it became hypnotically fascinating. From learning about the microtonal arrangements in Farsi music to learning south Indian polyrhythms and the almost forgotten 1970s punk rock and psychedelia movements in Egypt, Lebanon and Iran, they couldn’t help but think, what comes next? Both have spent the last few years discovering incredible sub-genres such as Khaliji hiNRG, Rai, ArabiDisco, Habibi House, Sawt and Bollywood and within quick succession, Dar Disku has shared the stage with artists such as Four Tet, Habibi Funk, Nabihah Iqbal, Young Marco, Palms Trax and Esa and have played iconic venues and festivals across the world (recent stops include Mumbai, Istanbul, Paris, Bahrain, Lost Village Festival, Lovebox Festival, Glastonbury Festival & more). Dar Disku have also been featured on Nabihah Iqbal's BBC Radio residency, for which they curated a guest mix inspired by night time drives in Bahrain, featured as Mixmag's 'Breakthrough DJ of 2021' and have recently been named as residents on the iconic Worldwide FM. The label's first release 'DD 001' featured a heavyweight edit from label collaborator 'Moving Still' and has received critical acclaim from the likes of Resident Advisor, Clash, Mille World and i-D. Fast forward into summer 2019, Dar Disku Records have released DD002, a Moving Still edit of 'Sidi Mansour' by Algerian pop star, 'Cheba Yamina' (Resident Advisor Track of the Year). Their latest 'DD003 and DD004' releases have been played on dance-floors from London to Lisbon, Mumbai to Moscow and Amsterdam to Amman by the likes of DJ Seinfeld, Esa, Job, Palms Trax, Hunee and more. Mixmag recently named 'DD005' as one of their 'best EP's of 2022'. With five releases already under the belt, they continue to dig deeper into the forgotten crates of the middle-east. Dar Disku's live sets have been described as “a journey across Arabia and beyond delving into a voyage into the unknown”, switching from 'skippy dance rhythms to boisterous traditional folk instrumentals' . With bookings such as Boiler Room and Palms Trax' XOYO residency - one thing for certain, however, is their tendency to create eclectic and spontaneous selections which transport audiences into lands far away. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY DAR DISKU 001 DAR DISKU 002 DAR DISKU 003 DAR DISKU 004 DAR DISKU 005

  • Enyang Ha

̸BIOGRAPHY #modularsynthesizer #livemusic #pop #vocal #experimentalelectronic Enyang Ha native to Korea is a 9 year transplant to Berlin, the music producer and mastering engineer uses a wide breadth of experimental techniques to create the music in her first EP with a label “1997”. This EP sees her collaborating with System Records by Julien Bracht. Having mastered some of the most innovative releases of this decade for Amnesia Scanner and Arca this EP is without a doubt the beginning of something that pushes the boundary of music beyond the current scope. A well traveled person from having lived in Japan, Korea and the USA as a teenager Enyang emigrated to Berlin in her twenties to tap into a new scene and sound unique to the city. Since then she has been intimately involved in the experimental music scene having performed at CTM festival in January of 2021. Serendipity found Enyang in Berlin and it was this city that transformed her passion for music and took her on a new path, one which would expose her to some of the most cutting edge artists of the world. Having worked intimately with the releases of some of the most experimental artists of our time, Enyang’s own musical sensibility and need for experimentation aligns closely with the roster of her impressive clientele. Driven by a need to express the inherent beauty within the unusual, different or other she uses recordings of her own body’s movements and functions to create a unique sound palette. These recordings become the musical apparatus Enyang uses to compose her tracks. Through the digitisation of her body she is able to transform the sound of her pelvis into a baseline, quite literally making the core of her physical body the foundation of her musical form. In the same way the snapping of an ear become high hats, or an elbow becomes a textured sound hidden in the composition of the track. By metabolising the sounds of her body she is able to build these tracks organically, even through the use of modular synthesizers there remains an intimacy to the EP.

  • Evigt Mörker

̸BIOGRAPHY The otherworldly foreground of his techno works are blissfully psychedelic as well as carefully structured for the most subtly disorientating shifts, and hovering amongst this is his wholesome grasp on the purpose and consequence of melody. The unsettling terrain of Evigt Mörker's world can be broken up into a few frenetic parts that give the overall impression of a serene habitat. There's the otherworldly foreground of his techno works that are blissfully psychedelic as well as carefully structured for the most subtly disorientating shifts, and hovering amongst this is his wholesome grasp on the purpose and consequence of melody. Together, this is Evigt Mörker's deadly and addictive mix. Hailing from Sweden, some initial forays into bands in his youth went hand-in-hand with an early exposure to techno. Yet it was the illegal rave scene in Stockholm that would prove to be most formative. The circuit of DJing and parties soon fed into the need to create a platform from which to work, and so the identity and label Evigt Mörker came into being in 2013. The first three releases cemented Evigt Mörker's ability to rouse melodic dynamics out of an ambient setting. Whether settling and fixating on a rhythmic pattern, or shuffling through different emotions, often these tracks would career into rapturous dancefloor pieces. It didn't take long until the formidable Semantica Records tapped him for a release, which produced the stunning EP, 'Helmet of Bones.' From this point, Evigt Mörker would come under the austere wing of Northern Electronics. Two terse yet incandescent EPs, along with a fourth release on his own label, have charged the air for his debut album, 'Krona'. Appearing on Northern Electronics, a brooding intensity defines the album, as well as a technical dexterity for carving dissonance into lush techno tools. For those that have witnessed Evigt Mörker live or as DJ, a different side to his recorded output comes into play. Often far more forceful than his releases, there's an energetic and rhythmic power reserved for these moments. It's perhaps this versatility that's kept him in such high demand as a remixer. Taken to the other end of the spectrum, Evigt Mörker's live shows are capable of elegant ambient pieces, if holding a dancefloor down isn't the modus operandi. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY https://www.discogs.com/artist/3452465-Evigt-M%C3%B6rker

  • Gramrcy

Gramrcy is a British-born DJ and producer currently living in Berlin. His productions draw elements from the UK’s rich rave history while pushing a resolutely forward-facing sound. EPs on cult UK labels Ancient Monarchy and FTD established a restless, anything-goes approach to music-making, while a recent collaboration with Hodge on the Singapore-based label Midnight Shift displayed a tougher and more upfront side. This approach extends through to his DJ sets – a fluid and stylistically diverse selection that skilfully weaves between genres and eras while maintaining at its heart a fun and carefree approach to dance music. Well received mixes for Crack Magazine, Boiler Room, Uncanny Valley and Ceramics (which Thump named their No.1 mix of 2015), as well as numerous guest slots on NTS and Rinse FM have cemented his reputation as a thrilling and diverse DJ, as comfortable with well-considered warm-up slots as he is playing peak time sets. 2019 saw him become joint label-owner of Peach Discs – the label started in 2016 by long-time friend Shanti Celeste. As well as running the longstanding Housework parties in Bristol and Berlin alongside Shanti, Golesworthy and Daisy Moon, he’s played a number of well-respected clubs, venues and festivals across Europe, including ://about blank and Tresor in Berlin, Simple Things Festival in Bristol and London’s Dance Tunnel, while his latest EP on GlassTalk Records continues to mark out Gramrcy as a producer to keep an eye on.

  • Hannah Holland

̸BIOGRAPHY DJ.Producer.Label Boss Hannah Holland has played a pivotal role in London’s alternative and queer London club scene since the mid-noughties, arriving on dancefloors sharing electro tinged techno but equally inspired by the influential sounds of DnB and jungle heard at legendary parties such as Metalheadz, which she had frequented in her early teens. The cultural melting pot of London, community, musical exploration and the transcendent potential of dancefloor have always been her biggest inspiration. Having already been “borrowing” (and perhaps never since returning) Kraftwerk, Grace Jones and Talking Heads records from her parents, the influence of this metropolitan musical soup ensured that Holland emerged on the decks with a unique musical character and diverse taste, hallmarks of her sound that she has not lost since, whether undertaking residencies at iconic parties such as Trailer Trash, rocking Glastonbury’s hedonistic and spectacular NYC Downlow, or undertaking far-reaching marathon sets at Berlin’s Panorama Bar. Founded in 2009 as both a record label and party, Batty Bass began Holland’s outlet to explore the disparate strains of electro, acid, techno and house that drive her charismatic DJ sets forward, delivering party-friendly wax cuts from like-minded producers such as Josh Caffe, The Carry Nation, Mama, Lauren Flax and Justin Robertson’s Deadstock 33s. The imprint also provided Holland with a self-determined platform for her own music, memorably including ‘Paris’ Acid Ball’, an acid-tinged anthem that continues to summon voguing sweat in queer spaces worldwide. Holland scored another anthemic moment in 2017, in collaboration with longtime friend and creative partner Josh Caffe on ‘Fade To Me’, released on Crosstown Rebels, following the ‘Lush EP’ ft. IMMA/MESS, via seminal UK house imprint, Classic Music. Meanwhile, her powerful remixes of DJ Hell, Goldfrapp, The Knife, Planningtorock remain as forward-thinking and exciting as the acts themselves. In 2019, Batty Bass will release a wealth of new material from Holland herself, developed alongside her role writing, producing and playing with the dark-pop band, Black Gold Buffalo, who released their self-titled, long-awaited debut album in 2018. Capturing much of the same rave euphoria and timeless sound in her early work, Holland’s upcoming releases reflect the changes in the landscape of UK dance. Recent appearances have included Fabric for the extravagant Lovechild/Vogue Ball, alongside the notorious London underground parties Savage, Chapter 10 and Adonis. On the fringes of the capital, Holland is a regular at the annual Field Manuevers boutique festival, and across the Atlantic, has guested at the infamous US rave The Carry Nation, alongside her recurring appointments at Panorama Bar in Berlin. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY 2018 Black Magik Dawn - Josh Caffe (Prod. • Héctor Oaks

As one of Europe’s most wanted underground weapons, Héctor Oaks style stands out for playing the unexpected and the highly engaging. As DJ, producer and label head his take on techno resonates by combining the contemporary with hand-picked tracks from the history of rave culture. Héctor Oaks has been behind the turntables for almost half of his life. Gaining his first credits in Madrid's underground, it was when he relocated to Berlin, that his DJing really took off. Not long after his move to the German capital, the trained sound engineer released his first vinyl releases on KEY VINYL. This kick-start into the fertile soils of Berlin’s underground lay the foundation of a career, that has taken off internationally in the past years. It’s the dancefloors that taught this DJ his outstanding empathy and intuition for the sounds, that make a crowd vibrate. Constant practice and the dedication to music shaped his style. Known for his stamina and mixing skills, it is his selection that truly stands out. What seems eclectic on the first sight, is a well-curated mix of vinyl gems. Héctor Oaks seeks for the sweet spot between tracks that are connected not by genre but vibe and style. As vinyl-only DJ, his selection thrives on Oaks’ passion for digging in record shops all around the world. Not to mention the years in Berlin ́s infamous Record Loft, that served the local scene with an outstandingly broad selection of 2nd hand vinyl. When in the mood for a proper rave, you will find Oaks playing under his alias Cadency. The moniker is home to the more explorative side of genres: breaks, ghetto, oomphy grooves and a pinch of funk. As Oaks’s calls it: techno body music gone pop. Cadency’s appearances are rare, so catch them while they’re hot.

Loraine James is a producer who uses a minimalist setup and unbound creativity, she utilises IDM glitch aesthetics with an improvisational, jazz-rooted spirit and a unique talent for integrating her diverse influences into cohesive and emotive pieces. Hailing from Enfield, North London, adventurous producer Loraine James is a rising voice in the electronic music community. Taking piano lessons as a child and growing up listening to a wide range of genres has instilled a voracious musical curiosity in her that resonates throughout her productions. While classes at college, and later on Westminster University’s Commercial Music course, facilitated her encounter with the basic tools for digital production, her approach is closer to DIY culture than formal training. Often expressing her love for IDM, her intricate, highly intuitive and emotional tracks, composed used minimal, easily-available setup, and openly queer identity stand in direct opposition with the genre’s traditionally male, white and gear-fetishising intellectualism. James’s music is at once abrasive and vulnerable, a powerful dichotomy used to fuse together the many disparate elements from London’s sound universe which she integrates into her music, moulding grime, R&B, jazz and ambient into novel sonic creations with an instinct for improvisation. In 2017, her self-released debut album Detail caught the ear of many music aficionados, but 2019’s sophomore For You And I LP on Hyperdub would make her a breakthrough star, receiving unanimous acclaim from peers, fans and critics at the likes of Crack, DJ Mag, The Quietus, Mixmag and Pitchfork. At the age of 22 he was already performing in famous clubs in Milan, where he quickly achieved a reputation that soon allowed him to play at the best parties in town, alongside the most famous international guests. Based on the continuous search on global music, Marcy’s Sound has a wide range of electronic sounds, that through his artistic sensibility become more introspective, with romantic melodies, exotic and Balearic moods with energetic groove and a touch of 80’s, never losing the attention to the dance floor. As a matter of course of the huge passion leading Marcello, he decided to create his own itinerant party project, in collaboration with Luca Nove . The concept has its focus on the preciousness of Marcello’s musical vision: Föhn ‘wind of music’. Marcello is now resident DJ of the new project called ''Voyage'' at Tunnel Club, and always takes part in Elita Festival during the Milan Design Week, where he performs together with famous worldwide artists. Marcy is a ‘dream traveller’ fascinated by the Universe, its planets and the Nature, and his music is the reflection of his spirit. • Maybe Laura

̸ BIOGRAPHY Laura’s musical journey as a DJ has only just begun in earnest. This talented young artist born in Lithuania and now residing in one of London’s most creative musical hubs has gone on to immerse herself in a lifestyle that only serves to amplify her hunger to absorb and learn her craft. Laura possesses a natural ear for sound and sublime technical skills. Her style is one that can’t be pigeonholed, or genre listed. Mature beyond her young years in her style and manipulation of sounds through her music selection this young DJ has already began to turn heads and ears in the DJ fraternity of not only local heroes but also her internationally established peers. Like Laura herself, her younger years were very humble, but the signs were very clear from the start with her passion for expression being at the forefront of all she did, whether that be through gymnastics from the age of 7, to taking up playing brass instruments, singing in the local choir and even participating in her hometown folklore group. Sound and Motion have been most prevalent in this artist’s early development and in her last few years in Lithuania included her being part of a choreographic theatre project was the music varied from classical and Jazz to contemporary, experimental and modern. Upon completion of her education in Lithuania Laura decided that she would come to London to gain further qualifications in her chosen field, but the enchantment of the London music scene and nightlife mesmerised her. “I was fascinated by the DJs abilities to unify the dance floor and make people forget about everything else outside venue the venue doors and keep the attention of the crowd’. From those moments Laura consciously decided that she wanted to learn how to work that magic captivating and connecting with her audience. And it seems that the moment she made that decision she was open to seeing opportunities to learn as well as engage in meeting the right people who work within the electronic music scene especially in London. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Remi Mazet & Maybe Laura - Sango https://northsouthrecords.bandcamp.com/track/sango Maybe Listen? DJ and producer NVST from Switzerland has established herself as one of the rising stars of the international clubbing and electronic music scene. Playing uncompromising sets around the world, this hyperactive artist seems insatiable. A regular guest at the most prestigious clubbing festivals (Amsterdam Dance Event, Positive Education, Dekmantel Selectors) and the trendiest clubs of the moment (Garage Noord, Tresor, Ankali, Zhao Dai), she leaves no one indifferent. In addition to DJ sets under her own name, she is part of the Drift Institute, a live group that blends post-punk, abstract, and techno. NVST's growing reputation is built on sharp, powerful, and deeply committed sets. Taking her audience by surprise, she doesn't hesitate to put them in uncomfortable situations to lead them into a trance. Breakbeats, industrial, techno, and acid are just a few of the strings to her bow. Her style draws from all genres in order to transcend them and create moments of collective communion. The values that drive NVST's approach to DJing are far from conventionalism and commercial approaches. As an advocate for a more open and inclusive electronic music scene, she is part of the Female:Pressure family and fights for better representation in the nightlife industry. In addition to her already impressive schedule, she co-directs the Big Science label with Warzou, a sound experimentation laboratory focused on marginal electronic music. She is also a resident DJ on LYLRadio and Rinse FM. NVST's discography is also extensive. In addition to numerous remixes published here and there, she has released an EP and two albums under her own name, an album with the Drift Institute, and she announces the upcoming release of a new album on the Geneva-based label Les Disques Magnétiques (a sub-label of Disques Bongo Joe). • QUELZA

̸BIOGRAPHY French electronic music producer based in Berlin, Germany. Quelza (real name Léo Naït Aïssa), was born at the end of the 90s in the Parisian suburbs. Lulled in the arts since his childhood, his connection with music is made at an early age. But it's in 2013 that he made his first encounter with the Parisian electronic scene which inspired him to start producing his own tracks. Over the years, Quelza has made a name for himself in the scene, earning the respect of renowned artists, such as Oscar Mulero, DVS1, Marcel Dettmann, Ancient Methods, Efdemin or Tommy Four Seven to name a few, and committing to in-depth projects and releases. Quelza is assiduous when it comes to his music - his releases on labels like Mord Records, Palinoia, 47, Hayes Collective and others, push an unorthodox crystal clarity and cinematic sound design that has become his signature as an artist - which, combined with his unique DJ sets, has earned him a spot at some of the most prestigious clubs in Berlin (where he is currently based) and abroad, such as: Berghain, Tresor, Fabric London, Reaktor, KHIDI and several more. Quelza, counts as one of the most satisfyingly mature young guns to emerge out the new wave of techno artists that’s been unfurling in recent times, with an exquisitely panoramic view into his mental multiverse. Championing layered techno wares laced with a breaksy, IDM-informed touch that packs a punch, the Frenchman keeps on carving out a truly distinctive, shape-shifting signature, switching scopes and angles as he ups the rhythmic pressure with every next sequence.

Like liquid mercury in a petri dish—slick, supple, and playfully disobedient—Rhyw’s music dazzles as it defies expectation. The Welsh-Greek artist cut his teeth as one half of Cassegrain and has been finding new paths for his mutant sound ever since, releasing on Fever AM, the imprint he set up with Mor Elian in 2017, as well as labels like Avian and Modeselektor’s SSPB. In the studio or behind the decks, he brilliantly fuses different strains of ultra-modern techno and broken beat: eyes-down minimal lights up with modular sass, choppy kicks flirt with rolling grooves, and sharp sound design slices through earthy subs. It’s the kind of amphibious sound that can slip into otherworldly spaces while never truly leaving the dance floor. Rhyw turned heads with the heavyweight two-tracker ‘Biggest Bully’ in 2019, earning himself sets at Berghain, Berlin Atonal, Boiler Room Tokyo and Freerotation amongst others. Online and on-air, he’s guested on Hessle Audio’s Rinse FM show and Mixmag’s ‘In Session’ mix series, and contributed podcasts to Crack and FACT. Even when they leave the gate at full pelt, these sets showcase Rhyw’s subtle sense of intricacy, balancing airy atmospheres against tougher tackle. But whatever the energy level, there’s always an alien presence in Rhyw’s sound—a shapeshifter whose twin motives are to bewitch and disorientate the listener.

In it Russell shares the intersections of their experiences as a Black, Queer, Trans immigrant in America and how that has informed their process as a musician. In 2019, Russell was awarded the Traveling Scholars Fellowship from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts to continue their work with modular synthesizers at the Synthesizer Library’s Prague, Czech Republic location. They would utilize this time to create over 30 compositions, some of which have been featured on NYC label Mr. Saturday Night and pioneering Berlin techno outfit, Tresor. Most recently, in 2021, Russell has worked as a featured artist, digitally archiving records from the collection of House Music pioneer, Frankie Knuckles, as part an installation created by Theaster Gates in a group show curated by renowned writer and curator, Antwan Sargent, titled “Social Works”. They have also featured on a digital and vinyl compilation celebrating the 30th anniversary of pioneering Techno organization, Tresor. Russell also works professionally as a recording, mix, and mastering engineer, an educator, and a consultant for special audio projects and films. Russell loves to spend their time reading, connecting with friends and family, researching the latest in music technology, and cuddling with their cat SKRRT. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY God Is Change - Opal Tapes - 2015 The First Step - Black Opal - 2016 The Home I’d Build for Myself and All of My Friends - Left Hand Path - 2018 Constructions Vol 2 - Self Release - 2020 Blah Blah - Mr Saturday Night - 2020 Emotional Bangers Only Vol 1 and 2 - Self Release - 2020

Sharp loneliness engraved layers of Justinas' subconscious, influenced ethereal sounds and emotions in his works. The monotony of S13 grows with confluent curves of atmospheres that expand in higher dimensional space. Combining intense chords and breathtaking bass lines Justinas transforms his music into a digital organism. Esoteric extended-play single "Yourself" reveals incomprehensible world of confusion. When electric synths and variable rhythmics mix with voices from beyond listeners finally reach the emancipation and deserved enlightenment. "Mono" is probably the most existential track of S13. Plastic basses, melancholic melodies and gloomy aura evoke a feeling of standing on the top of the colossal skyscraper with the rain falling and recalling eternal life memories. The meaning of Secret Thirteen flows from his intangible minds and a fatal number Thirteen which comes out at unexpected moments of life. • SCALPING

Scalping are a Bristol based live techno band. Blistering performances are known for astute production formed through a love their hometown’s visionary off-the-wall dance music as well as full throttle noise and punk. Starting in 2017, the band played live for two years, almost exclusively in Bristol, before releasing any music. Through their time in other bands, they hooked up with promoters they trusted and focused on doing fewer shows with better results. After a couple of years, Nick Berthoud was brought in, on guitar; a “fan first, member second” who was impressed by the developing live show and attuned to their conceptual frustration. “As a live band, your entire output is dependent on your equipment, but guitar music is historically always so far behind electronic music, and how that technology and the language around it can change the music itself”, says Rushforth. “The ideas that people try to push with guitar band technology are naturally limited. We’re taking elements of guitar culture, like distortion and smearing, and inserting them into the technology and language of electronic music. We’d seen bands try to do this before, but it always felt too ‘arty’, happy, or unstructured. We wanted to do it but make it heavy, and create focused, structured songs.” By sourcing band-centred equipment that pushes boundaries, they incorporate bass-amplifying techno elements into their repertoire. Rushforth’s bass guitar set-up comes with two octave pedals, subharmonic generators and two amps – “effectively bringing a soundsystem around with us” – to play basslines “one or two octaves lower” than a bass guitar traditionally can. Berthoud’s guitar is sidechained from Jones’s kick drum; “which everyone’s done in the studio for decades, but we found it difficult to find a single guitar pedal that would allow us to do it at gigs”, Berthoud says. Their curiosity and resourcefulness has paid off. Since forming, SCALPING have performed across the UK and Europe, at festivals such as Glastonbury, Visions, Green Man, Simple Things, Pitchfork Festival and End of the Road, and as support for Black Midi and Squarepusher. Live, the effect is immense. SCALPING play continuously for the duration of their sets, generating a storm of metal- and-techno through a rising beats-per-minute count; starting between 80-90bpm, ticking gradually up to 140bpm – and then, for maximum dynamic impact, dropping to 70bpm and playing in half-time. In the heat and darkness, it’s a swarm of low-end frequencies and ripping guitars, somewhere between Black Sabbath-esque psychedelica and The Bug’s sub-bass headfuckery. “Within each section of each song, we can push and pull it,” says Hill. “We have a setlist, and once we start playing we don’t stop…. we move through the various songs and tempos fairly seamlessly, and try to emulate the feel of watching a DJ.” As the coronavirus pandemic stopped SCALPING from playing together for over two years, their songwriting was transformed into a series of retro-fitting techniques that would leave most bands lost in an organisational fog. Their debut album, “Void”, out on Houndstooth this April, necessarily became a mammoth undertaking. “We wrote this whole album without playing a single note of it together,” says Hill. “We produced all of the songs using the computer – as a blend of recordings and samples of our live drums, guitars and drum machines into production software – and then translated it all back into a live performance. And although there are structured songs on the record, there’s no explicit focus on exactly recreating those songs live, either,” he continues. “Everything is adapted to work into a set that flows well. A lot of album parts are rewritten during rehearsals for the good of the live set as a whole.” On “Void”, SCALPING are heavy metal in 4D; the sound is moody, distorted and rhythmic, but the use of electronic techniques gives the finer details room to breathe. Their early lust for “all loudness, no nuance” has cooled, too, making more space for experimentation. Tracks such as “Tether”, featuring Oakland rapper DÆMON, puts a modern, metal twist on Bristolian trip-hop, whereas album closer “Remain in Stasis” features fast-rising artist Grove, a Bristol-based rapper and self- professed metalhead whose commanding presence sets the track alight. These songs also mark an additional new chapter for the band with the addition of vocals for the first time. ̸ SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY April 2022: Void (LP, Houndstooth) October 2021: Flood Remixed (EP, Houndstooth June 2021: Flood (EP, Houndstooth)

Along with Regis and James Ruskin, Silent Servant founded the Jealous God label. In it’s short existence, they have already cut-up and reinterpreted many of the conventions of the techno world, forging a unique identity in the process. With it’s highly conceptual aesthetic and relentless dedication to experiment, Jealous God is a flag-bearer for the contemporary electronic avant-garde and a loyal ally to all mutant experimentalists. While insincerity remains the safety of many, Silent Servant’s own productions are brutally honest and resolute, rendering irrelevant those mongering for light. Deeply pensive and forward thinking, his sound is marked by a distinct blend of the disparate and divergent. An appreciation of warehouse techno, industrial noise and post-punk are evident, yet challenged and reworked to form a uniquely modern style - a vitality so controlled and concentrated that it captivates immediately. His live sets are another matter of inventiveness. The superfluous eliminated, Silent Servant has, for years, been rewiring the minds and moving the bodies of those seeking the most meaningful and potent energies that electronic music has to offer. Having developed a special kind of discipline, Silent Servant will no doubt continue to drive forward, bringing the truly adventurous with him. His criterion of action is freedom of movement, timelessness of expression, freedom for transgression; holding truth at most high. To that end, there is no compromise. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY LP Negative Fascination // Hospital Productions // 2012 12" The Silent Morning // Sandwell District // 2006 Lo Profundo // Historia y Violencia // 2008 Violencia // Sandwell District // 2008 The Blood Of Our King // Sandwell District // 2008 La Noche // Historia y Violencia // 2009 Negative Fascinations // Sandwell District // 2009 El Mar // Semantica Records // 2010 Hypnosis In The Modern Age // Sandwell District // 2011 Negative Fascination (Extended 12" Mixes) // Hospital Productions // 2012 Silent Servant // Mi Alma // Historia y Violencia // 2012 SS* / S* - Sicario De Dios // Jealous God // 2013 Lucy & Silent Servant - History Survivors // Mote-Evolver // 2013 Lust Abandon // Jealous God // 2013 Silent Servant / Broken English Club - Violence And Divinity // Cititrax // 2014 Silent Servant // Mechanics of Emotion // The Corner // 2014 51717 & Silent Servant - Jealous God 06 // Jealous God // 2015 Remixs H&V // Raíz // Silent Servant (Ciencia Ficción Edición) Prologue 15 // Claudio PRC // Clear Depths // Silent Servant Remix Kontra musik // Mikora // Silent Servant Remix Ibandan 100 // Function vs. Jerome Sydenham // White Light // Silent Servant Remix Ostgut Ton // Planetary Assault Systems // Bell Blocker (Silent Servant Remix) Warp Records // Battles – Dross Glop 3 // Inchworm (Silent Servant Remix) Cititrax // The KVB //Pray To The Light Machine (Silent Servant Version) Epm Music // Greg Gow & Gareth Whitehead // Vacant (Silent Servant Remix) Frozen Border // Mary Velo // Manhattan Project (Silent Servant Mix) Puscifer Entertainment // Puscifer // Balls To The Wall (Silent Servant Mix) Dement3d Records // Polar Inertia // Major Axis (Silent Servant Remix) Felte // ERAAS // Briar Path (Silent Servant Interpretation) Asma // Birds (Silent Servant Remix) // M_REC LTD Dais Records // Youth Code // Let The Sky Burn (Silent Servant Remix) Diagonal // Streetwalker // Ooze (Silent Servant Remix) Lust For Youth // International (Silent Servant Remix) // Sacred Bones Records Pole Recordings // Exium // The 12th Planet (Silent Servant Remix) Mute // Liars // Mess On A Mission (Silent Servant Remix) Mecanica // Soft Metals // Tell Me (Silent Servant Edit) Phantasy Sound // Daniel Avery // Spring 27 (Silent Servant Remix) Sacred Bones Records // John Carpenter // Vortex (Silent Servant Remix) Eye Teeth // Israel Vines // WWKD (Silent Servant Remix) aufnahme + wiedergabe // Phase Fatale // Grain (Silent Servant Remix) Spectral Sound // Matrixxman // The Caravan (Silent Servant Remix) Dark Entries // Psychic TV // Alien Be-In (Silent Servant Remix) Booking Information daniela@triangleagency.com

  • Solid Blake

̸BIOGRAPHY DJ and producer from Glasgow, operating via Berlin. There are DJs who can extend a single vibe over the course of a night – and then there’s “another way of doing things”, hints Solid Blake. You can guess which camp the Glasgow-born DJ falls in. Bringing the frozen pulse of electro together with dissident techno and bass from all eras, Emma Blake’s side-winding DJ sets and slick productions have made her a fixture of the European underground over the last half-decade, but after years away from home – first in her beloved Copenhagen and now in the techno bustle of Berlin – she’s emerging from her lockdown cocoon with a recalibrated approach. Drawing more and more from the sweatbox euphoria of her early rave days, the next phase of Solid Blake looks set to be shot in Technicolor. Solid Blake’s first original material, inspired by the pneumatics of classic electro and late-late-night acid techno, appeared on choice underground labels Seilscheibenpfeiler and Outer Zone, and she was quickly recognised for her production chops, joining the 2018 cohort of Red Bull Music Academy in Berlin and picking up a nomination for Best Breakthrough Producer from DJ Mag. More recently her output has included remixes for Pär Grindvik and Marc Acardipane, contributions to the Club Quarantäne and Herrensauna compilations, and a live-focused collaboration with CPH techno mainstay Ctrls under the banner Historical Repeater. Despite making her name in the techno-heavy zones of Mitteleuropa, over the years she’s felt the Glasgow influence growing stronger, as she’s pulled towards more eclectic selections and high-contrast blends. More risk equals more excitement – something she’s also discovered through her talent for playing back-to-back DJs like Skee Mask, Stenny and old friend Mama Snake. With new releases forthcoming, plus work on a brand new live show, Solid Blake is speeding towards a distinct new era in her life as an artist. The future can only get weirder.

  • Spencer

Calum Morton, AKA Spencer, is one of those DJ’s hiding in plain sight, a consistent source of stylish party-starting sets that get crowds and his peers buzzing. A thoughtful, committed and loquacious behind-the-scenes force in UK electronic music, he embarked on his journey of planning parties, releasing records and the beautiful intersection of possibilities in-between as a teenager, working in Glasgow’s world-renowned record shop and distributor Rubadub. It’s one of the many institutions that have counted on Spencer’s passion and expertise at various points over the years, including time spent working at Warp Records and as the spark driving event and lecture highlights from the Red Bull Music Academy. But he’s predominantly (and rightfully) known for being the A&R scout, events wizard, resident DJ, and sturdy pillar of support shaping all manner of activities by the Scotland-based record label and creative collective Numbers, which he co-founded in 2003 and now primarily manages alongside his brother Neil. If you’ve enjoyed Numbers records over the years – from artists like SOPHIE, Hudson Mohawke, DJ Deeon, Rustie, Jessie Ware, Jamie XX, Mosca and more – or lost your head at one of their inimitable parties, it’s likely that Spencer was at work on the records or the decks. He’s helped the label forge its global reputation in exporting the best of UK electronic music worldwide, with a sharp ear, commitment to original expression, and a deep love for the musical innovators that came before, to which he – and all of us – owe the utmost respect. Touring as a DJ for Numbers and Warp, putting together genre-busting educational and festival programs in New York, Paris, Montréal, Berlin and Tokyo, playing events at Panorama Bar, Sonár, Dommune, and Boiler Room, plus seasonal Numbers blowouts, he delivers killer mixes of music both on and off the dancefloor. Aiming for and chasing the high of the perfect track at the right time in the right place, Spencer has the musical knowledge and surefire selection that means he hits the mark right-on.

Best known as Steffi, Steffie Doms is a DJ, producer, and record label owner associated with the prestigious Berlin nightclub Berghain as well as its Ostgut Ton label. Her productions and DJ sets tend to be a warm, reflective mix of atmospheric techno, house, and electro, heavy on soothing synth pads and gently hypnotic rhythms. Steffi was born in a small town in the Netherlands in 1974. She got into dance music (Belgian new beat and early Chicago house) during the late '80s, and became interested in DJing after being exposed to Detroit electro and early IDM during the first half of the '90s. She moved to Amsterdam in 1997 and started a club night with fellow DJ/producer Awanto 3, and the two began hosting events throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. She moved to Berlin two years later, and eventually became a resident DJ at Berghain's Panorama Bar. • TAAHLIAH

̸BIOGRAPHY TAAHLIAH is an artist, performer and DJ based in Glasgow, Scotland and London, England. TAAHLIAH is a DJ & Producer from Glasgow. After making her name in the underground queer club scenes of Berlin & Glasgow as a DJ and remixer, she took stage as a producer in 2021 when she started releasing on London label untitled (recs).
Her debut-EP "Angelica" (out May 28th) brings together TAAHLIAH's expansive production skills and range of influences, moving effortlessly between squeaky-clean hyperpop textures (Brave, Freefalling) and the jacking hard- dance sounds (FMH, Bourgeoisie, Transdimensional) which defined her much lauded Boiler Room debut earlier this year.
Throughout Angelica, the producer details a range of autobiographical experiences that have come to shape her as a person and an artist: from coming to terms with being trans (Brave), to coming from a working class background (Bourgeoisie); from breaking up (Tears) to falling in love (Freefalling). Always, as TAAHLIAH seeks to represent and bring visibility to her community, she invariably ends up conveying universal messages of power, acceptance, bravery and euphoric fun.
TAAHLIAH has placed herself at the centre of a new generation of electronic producers revitalising both Dance & Pop music. She has shared stages with SOPHIE, LSDXOXO, 100 Gecs, A.G Cook & Eris Drew amongst others.
She is the first black trans artist to be nominated at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards, and the first artist to ever be nominated and win in two categories in the same year.

  • Telfort

̸BIOGRAPHY Rarely, but occasionally, a producer arrives on the scene with little prior hype, yet such stylistic flair that they demand immediate updates to the house music blueprint. Telfort's first three, self-released EPs did just that—announcing the Edinburgh-based artist as a standout producer, capable of crafting delicate yet propulsive house grooves smothered in a deep and galvanised patina that's totally his own but invigorating for everyone. So well received was that first triptych that he quickly garnered fans across the spectrum: Lionoil Industries swiftly drafting him in for an EP, while Piccadilly Records awarded "Lickety Split" one of their coveted, '12"s of the year awards'. Move D, Jane Fitz, Moxie and many others quickly caught on, the former insisting he joins him behind the decks for some now legendary b2b DJ sessions, further showcasing the man's impressive skill set; as deft and creative at constructing meandering journeys through the full spectrum of house music, as he is at writing the songs that warm the sets of other DJs. It's no real wonder, as Telfort's held a locally adored residency at Edinburgh's worst-kept-secret institution, Sneaky Pete's, for some time now—both simultaneously informing and building on his blossoming legacy. The perfect fertile ground to try out new productions and become almost impossibly solid, then. Further afield, he made his US bow; debuted at Offenbach’s beloved Robert Johnson and Hamburg’s intimate Golden Pudel, while becoming a repeat booking at Heideglühen in Berlin and continuing a much celebrated residency at Field Maneuvers festival. Meanwhile, Telfort’s mixes for Crack Magazine, Mixmag and Deep House Amsterdam among others have permeated to attentive fans with cult-like appreciation. In the midst of a creative purple patch, Telfort continues to propel things forward and look to new releases, while igniting dancefloors across Europe and beyond. Thankfully, the algorithm and click-bait-press have at times been surprisingly sluggish on this suave new house cat, making it all the more special, exciting and personal the next time you hear perhaps, "Soon I Will Embark On A Journey" or "Barberweed" blazing out the stacks at your next all night dance party. If you've a penchant for the housey, the heady and the heavenly, then look no further than Telfort.

̸BIOGRAPHY London based DJ and Radio Presenter The rise of online radio stations with their unrestricted musical policies has been a perfect blessing for Tia Cousins. She is a collector with a passion for in-between sounds, for experimental genres and niches both old and new. Frankly, she has a collection that belies her young years, but one that has won her plenty of recognition in underground circles, from NTS to Balamii, the Tate Gallery to Brilliant Corners. Tia's extensive knowledge reaches well into jazz, synth-pop and post-punk. But she can just as easily join the dots between EBM and cold wave on the radio as she can lay down heavier techno, breaks and chug in the club. So far her dizzyingly eclectic but well-sequenced selections have turned heads on radio stations across the country, most recently landing her on Bristol's Noods Radio for a new monthly residency. The past year has seen her join Overmono on their UK & Ireland tour as the sole support, debut at festivals like Field Maneuvers and Love international, make appearances at prolific clubs such as Fabric, Corsica Studios and The Beams alongside acts like Optimo (Espacio), Vladimir Ivkovic and Helena Hauff.

Growing up in a household listening to his mother’s classical trained voice along with records and spool tapes brough home by his father, Unnayanaa found sanctum and inspiration through music. His ability to translate abstract ideas into a relatable format for a cross section of listeners and his unconventional approach to morphing sounds into one another has helped him create a signature style of DJing and producing music. He is currently working on music that he recorded during his travels through Ethiopia and Congo. The last couple of years has seen him play memorable sets at festivals in the subcontinent right from Magnetic Fields to Echoes of Earth, as well as the iconic Boiler Room - Bangalore appearance in 2022. Unnayanaa has released music on labels like Borders of Light (Italy), Itstillmusic (Chicago), Papa Records (London), Rainy City Music (Manchester), and Atypical Dopeness (New York) and his music has been remixed by the likes of Toto Chiavetta, Osunlade, and Ivory. His 2018 release “Taht Min Aini” was much sought after and along with a slew of previous releases, has paved its way to the playlists of DJs such as Solomun, Ame, Dixon, Trikk, and more. “A true turntablist, he brings alive a rare set of vinyl treasures, traversing through genres.” - The Wild City

VHS Library of Acid The philosophy of VHS Library lies somewhere between sluggishly rolling tapes and the crackling of meticulously dug vinyls. Roads and Eimantas are the librarians, who choose the path of detective classics by staying in the shadows of the party, taking the directing role for the mood on the dancefloor.

  • Vladas Dieninis

Vladas Dieninis is a drummer, percussionist and multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of sound art, theater, dance and cinema productions. The most recent solo output from Vladas balances his talent to combine electronic percussionist techniques with multilayered soundscapes. His performances are improvisatory rituals where hazy ambience meets oriental rhythmic ornaments. The hypnotic effect of motorik patterns here intertwines with free-floating soundscapes with delay effects. The minimalist means here are employed for a maximalist as sometimes you get overwhelmed by the vast array of sound coming from just one person on stage.
