about
Welcome to the inaugural edition of Midnight Shift Productions, where events merge with narratives.
Our debut event in collaboration with Stay Sharp Mutha Puaka takes on a dual purpose, firstly aiming to present the remarkable work of women who have transcended the confines of traditional tattoo artistry, also to emphasize that tattoos are, at their core, expressions of artistry. From meticulously detailed Asian influences to precise illustrations and anime-inspired creations, these eight talented individuals – Brandi, Gracia, Iwani M, Jazzle, Josephine, Moo, R3bellia, and Sarahann – will be bringing these artistic forms to life, both for viewing and, should you choose, for adorning your own canvas.
Complementing these intricate ink creations will be the rhythm masters - including the likes of Dexter Colt (Darker Than Wax), Jenn Chunes (Super Enjoy), Leland, our enigmatic Working Title from Midnight Shift (come discover their true identity), and Jeremy Cheung, a tastemaker hailing from Hong Kong. Returning to our shores is Powder from Japan, a figure whose independence and unparalleled music curation continue to inspire us.
A nod of appreciation to our unsung hero Shoon, the architect of our aesthetic. Welcome to the realm of Ink and Rhythms, where every beat tells a story and every stroke etches a memory.
