CYK are constantly offered B2B sets, and have played at Venues in Tokyo such as CONTACT, Womb, VENT, as well as at big festivals such as "Rainbow Disco Club", "FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL" and "Wonderfruit Festival" . The pace of his activities has remained identical since he moved to Kyoto in September 2020, and by February 2023 he had played in 30 cities in Japan. He has held his own party "UNTITLED" in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, as well as resident parties in Okayama and Hiroshima, and continues to release pure energy in dance music and clubbing on a national scale. In 2023, he did an all-night long set at WWW X. As a DJ, he develops borderless dance music from the decade onwards, weaving in archives from the past as a reference point. He is renowned for his unique selections in line with social moods and floor grooves. Kotsu's output is not restricted to music. He has produced numerous flyers for his own parties and CYK, as well as ZINE magazine, featuring his columns in the past. 1995年千葉県市川市生まれ。'16年に結成したハウス・ミュージック・コレクティブ『CYK』のメンバーであり、ソロにおいても国内外で多くのギグを重ねている。'20年9月に京都へ拠点を移して以降も活動ペースは変わらず、23年10月までに国内30都市でプレイする。自身のパーティー『UNTITLED』においても東京・京都・大阪で開催し、岡山、広島においてもレジデントパーティーを持つなどダンスミュージック及びクラビングにおけるピュア・エナジーを全国規模で放出し続けている。DJにおいては10年代以降のダンスミュージックを参照点に過去アーカイブを織り交ぜながらボーダーレスに展開する。社会的なムードやフロアのグルーヴに応じた独自のセレクションには定評がある。 また、Baba StiltzやMall Grab、Ross From Friendsなど数々のアップカミングなDJ/プロデューサーを招聘してきたCYKは、日本のみならず韓国や香港などのアジアや「Rainbow Disco Club」や「FUJI ROCK」などのフェスティバルにもラインナップされており、22年12月渋谷O-EASTにて行われたALL NIGHT LONGパーティーも盛況を見せた。B2Bスタイルを軸に広義の”ハウス”の解釈のもと、日本を中心に海外も含めた様々なシチュエーションでプレイを重ねている。また、旧来のハウス・ミュージック・カルチャーに準拠し、セーフスペースの概念に重きを置いたフロア作りを行なっている。 自身のパーティーおよびCYKを中心に多数のフライヤーを手がけるグラフィックデザイナーとしての側面もあり、過去にコラムが中心となったZINEの製作を行うなどあらゆるフォーマットでアウトプットを行なっている。”DJ”という肩書きに依拠せず活動する彼は、この時代に投下された一種の吸収体による純粋な反応に過ぎない。 https://soundcloud.com/kosuke-takemura
