Originally from Diadema, DJ K, a 22-year-old artist, is a crucial figure in the consolidation of a new style of funk called "mandelão." This aggressive sound, with a sharp and high-pitched "tuim" and high volume, energizes the favela parties in São Paulo.
Known as the "Wizard", DJ K has been producing for three years and is responsible for the beats of hits like "Tuin Destrói Noia" and "Olha o Barulinho da Cama" that resonate through the "paredões" (sound systems). He is one of the main exponents of "Funk Bruxaria", a subgenre of Brazilian funk that emerged in 2019 in São Paulo's favelas. It is characterized by distorted and aggressive sounds, spreading throughout Brazil and accumulating over 15 million views.
DJ K started his career in funk at the age of 17, producing his music at home and sharing it on the
internet. He became one of the main DJs at the "Baile do Helipa", the famous street party in Heliópolis,
