London based DJ/Producer Hasan Khan has a fetish for all things deep and groovy. His taste spans through most genres of music but anything with a driving bass line and a trippy hook sets him alight. At just 20 Hasan developed his own night and brand, Toucan Rave in Manchester. Toucan Rave was used as a platform for him to play out and gain recognition for his distinctive sound. There are elements of House, Prog, Techno, Minimal, and everything in between, to his sets but they are ultimately based on his mood. A broad taste in music means it’s hard to pinpoint a style, with his mixes varying, and each set being used as an opportunity to experiment. An ability to adapt, change and not being pigeonholed into a genre or style is what makes Hasan stand out the most.

Kuroten is the latest project of South African born 27 year old Dj and producer Dylan Holtman. Having had an 8 year journey with electronic music, his earliest steps into music began as a keen drummer and singer. After high school, he began playing at various clubs and bars in his home town Cape Town. Some of the most notable include The Side Show, Trinity, Dragon Room to name a few. His journey into Techno began when he moved to Bangkok 3 years ago. Since then he fell in love with what the land of smiles had to offer. Having played at some of Bangkok’s best clubs and bars Mustache, Live RCA, Wax and Glow, and soon to release on Thailand’s newest record label headed by Dan Buri Neverest Records, he is firmly cementing himself as an up and coming artist in the underground.

With his busy DJ schedule, event company Kollectiv, local hit Kolour and weekly club night Family Wednesdays, Coran can be seen as one of the front runners in Bangkok’s growing music scene. His devotion comes naturally to a man who is first and foremost a music lover at heart. With over 10 years consumed by a thirst for electronic music, the Melbourne-born entity has worn many caps as a DJ. You might catch him behind the decks at Fashion events for Chanel, Porsche Design, CC Double O, and Esquire Magazine. Or head down to Bangkok’s home of the underground, Glow Nightclub to see him opening minds and hearts in his true element. As a music lover he’s always stayed open to different styles and aesthetics. As an artist, he’s always allowed himself to express his take on each genre – it’s true that with Coran, you never know what to expect, other than consistently fresh and unique output.

In 2013, V. Alarik and Spencer serendipitously stumbled upon each other somewhere deep in the labyrinthine sois of Bangkok. It could have been that they were both inebriated but an alliance was obvious when the sun came up. It wasn’t long before they were fully immersed in Bangkok’s bustling underground house and techno scene where their work ethic quickly gained the attention of Trust, a Bangkok based agency and events company that got them working alongside artists like Wolf & Lamb, Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler to name a few. But it was their exposure to the local heroes take on underground house and techno that really drew them in. Sunju Hargun, Kimball Collins, Mendy Indigo, Dan Buri, and others were forward thinking in their approach and drove the direction of the sound the Soi Dogs would take on.
