  • Ben Dragon

Ben Dragon has some fire for your ears. He's a songwriter/producer, DJ, and movement artist with an approach to music that is rarely seen today. His trademark sound builds on the foundation of early house and techno pioneers with a fat bass construction, infectious grooves, and a wide fusion of musical influences acquired through his origins in Chicago, London, and Los Angeles--some of the world's most vibrant and diverse musical meccas. As a result, his sonic flavor has an extraordinary effect of attracting both commercial music lovers to purist underground music heads alike. His music career began in recording studios in LA as he learned the art of making pop and r&b music with Grammy-Award winning producers, songwriters, artists, and engineers. After gaining valuable experience producing commercial music for many artists in the industry, he began to shift focus to his passion for house music. At the end of 2015, he founded his own imprint "Fire To My Ears" and since then his releases have consistently been DJ favorites with tracks reaching the #1 position of the Hypeddit Charts, getting listed on top Spotify playlists such as ‘Discover Weekly’, and receiving features on the front page of Beatport, Traxsource, and iTunes. Notable online music publications caught on to his unique brand of music and have given praise such as Magnetic Magazine, EDM Identity, The Sights & Sounds, The Playground UK, Digital DJ Pool, and Electrokill to name a few. EDM Magazine wrote, "Ben Dragon brings a level of energy and vibes to his set that is unparalleled." His music has been a breath of fresh air in a world where trends can quickly become stale and has found rotation on respected radio stations across the globe including Dash Radio and AMW.FM (Amsterdam's Most Wanted House Radio). His production talent has led to remixes for iconic labels such as Shaboom Records (DJ Sneak, Blakkat) and the creation of a studio sample pack for Zenhiser. In addition to the underground, his sound also managed to capture the attention of major fashion influencers featuring his record "House Party" which has since amassed over 1M plays across different social networks. His auspicious perspective of music as both a DJ and street-dancer (House/Hip-Hop) creates a powerful experience on the dance floor and has led to performances in several major metropolises around the world including Berlin, Amsterdam, Las Vegas, Philippines, and all over California (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego). Making his debut at the Amsterdam Dance Event Music Festival (ADE) in 2016, his deep and dirty DJ sets melting house, techno, and hip hop elements set off waves that rippled throughout Europe all the way back to America. In 2017, he made his first appearance at FOCUS OC, the longest running house club in Orange County and home to the world's biggest house and techno artists. He has since become a well-known favorite at the iconic party crushing multiple shows including one of the largest recorded crowd-attendance in history in 2018. In 2019, his movement landed him major shows including his second booking at the massive KAABOO Festival [Del Mar] sharing the stage with legendary acts such as Ice Cube, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink, and Black Eyed Peas. In 2020, he has already set things into high-gear performing at the brand new festival ‘E KOMO MAI’ in the paradise of Hawaii among house legends such as Mark Farina, DJ Dan, and Doc Martin. Ben Dragon has been working hard in the studio and is set to release new music under his label beginning in spring of this year.
