about
We've invited Sepp to open our Makes Me Human event series at Kremwerk. Combining bassy grooves and melodic accents, Sepp's 2019 Boiler Room set introduced a new generation of Romanian minimal house & techno to international audiences. As a member of the Sunrise collective, Sepp's yearly appearances at the Sunwaves Festival on the the shore of the Black Sea similarly set him apart as one of modern minimal's finest ambassadors. Combining his DJ skills with production and curation, Sepp guides one of our favorite labels: Uvar.
Sepp's Seattle debut marks the perfect introduction to the expansive storytelling and bliss of minimal's current wave. With Kinjo (Rhizome Records) and Aivilo (Shameless) as local support we can't wait to join you Friday, October 1 at Kremwerk for a night of pure sonic pleasure.

"The flow and imagination exhibited by Sepp is second to none and his mix for us is, as always something special."

  • Aivilo

Aivilo is a DJ/producer who found her niche in Seattle's underground electronic scene in 2010, relied on as consistent dancefloor presence at the least. Raised amidst the varietal nature of music in Seattle, a unique flavor surfaces in her work bringing forth more than your typical dance tracks. Although mainly working with deep and minimal styles of house and techno, notes of blues, dub, rock and hiphop are also carefully selected and woven into the basis of her DJ sets, as well as her production. Olivia has assimilated much of her music-related knowledge by partnering with established local house/techno musicians and labels who have guided her through her budding passion. Meanwhile, her inspirations have expanded far from her hometown with major influences and connections out of Germany, Romania, Mexico and Spain. She currently resides in Seattle as one of Shameless’ resident DJs, and remains immersed in the many flavors of Seattle’s music and arts scene.

  • "The small basement space on Minor Avenue has been open only since February, but it's already establishing itself as a crucial cog in the city's electronic-music scene. Kremwerk hit the ground running. In its first week, Austin--the venue's booker--scored future-bass star L-Vis 1990, and since then, he's brought in an excellent array of local and international talent, including Silent Servant, Santiago Salazar, Dreamweapon, Jimi Jaxon, Kode 9 and Raica. Now with a capacity of 231 with its newly installed patio, we help champion the scene's underground action. Kremwerk's interior fuses an industrial, bunkerlike atmosphere (exposed, rusted pipes and sprinkler, much concrete, steel, and wood, etc.) with a chic after-hours spot. It's dimly lit and low-ceilinged and sports excellent feng shui, with plenty of nooks and seating away from the dance floor. Several shellacked and sanded tree stumps serve as tables."
