about
Rain or shine, the elements of rhythm & dance have been woven in human life and religion since time began…where a 120-year-old Buddhist temple previously stood, the formerly named Bukit Merah Swimming Complex, now Sports Lifestyle Centre, will be our first daytime dance soiree into the heartlands.
Having graced the dance floors of Savage, Mirage & The Lighthouse, as well as Re(treat) Festival & Lunar Beach Festival, we are turning up the heat (and cool) for our first daytime party as we welcome The Observatory's resident DJ back to Singapore after her previous visits to Offtrack.sg and Vertigo26
Formerly based in Tokyo, Yokosun now lives in Ho Chi Minh City (AKA Saigon) where she is often heard playing out uplifting sets brimming with joyous disco, funky house and slow-burning acidd. With an RA feature on her groovy mix recorded at Offtrack, have a peak at her other mixes & socials through her page ;)
———
Botanical & Landscape Design company, Pudica, will be providing us with beautiful textured landscapes, while Plako will set the stage with his killer d&b audiotechnik sound system, accompanied by visuals from Layers Of Time Studio. We are also grateful to have the talented Eric Foenander lend his hand in designing this event’s poster.
And when our bellies begin to bellow, we can head to the Chinese restaurant, Cheval Chi Bao | 赤宝, located in the complex itself for simple & delicious dishes.
With a wading pool located beside the artificial turf dance floor, bring along your swimming essentials should you decide to take a mid dance dip
