about
Mike Callander vs Dave Pham sets were stuff of legend back in the golden age of Melbourne’s club scene. Regulars of Honky Tonks, Ffour and other similar haunts would frequently settle in for 3, 4 or 5 hour sets from the two as they weaved in and out of a myriad of techno & house flavours. We haven’t hosted the pair since 2015 and we are so looking forward to having them back.

When a stalwart selector like Katie Pearson starts playing, you think you know what you are going to get. They have made you move time and time again. You know the menu. You can almost taste the experience. But each time is different. Not better or worse than the last time, but its own turbulent and liberating experience. We’ve wanted to host Katie for some time now but haven’t had the capacity to do so, now we do, so now is the time.

Many DJs try to avoid the tags and pinholes that genres create. Most of them fail to do so. However, most of them aren’t Melbourne authority Katie Pearson. A blank insignia, Katie has avoided this through a unique, yet authentic musical journey. She has long been at the forefront of Australia’s queer dance scene, most notably as cohost of “gay ass disco”, The Outpost. However, when you can regularly produce moments of dance floor ecstasy that Front Leftists thought only possible in the ’90s, you quickly become the scenes worst kept secret.
