Diskonnected
Diskonnected is a Taiwanese DJ, the creative mastermind, and the lead DJ of the well-known Smoke Machine collective. He was a resident at the legendary Taiwanese club Korner. These days he is a resident at its successor, Pawnshop, and at one of Asia's leading venues, Hong Kong's famed 宀 club.
Throughout his decade-long career, Diskonnected has been the foundational person developing, shaping, and sculpting the Smoke Machine sound and is the musical nucleus of the legendary Organik festival in Taiwan. A musical chameleon, and relentless explorer of new music, he has toured widely across Asia, Europe, and the USA, and played across the continents leading venues such as Berghain, Panorama Bar and Robert Johnson
Discrete Circuit
Being an integral part of Berlin's techno scene, Discrete Circuit has made a significant impact as a promoter, music producer, DJ, and label owner. Over the last decade, he founded and curated the party AWAY, which has earned a reputation as a must-attend event series renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional line-ups with regular heavyweights and residents such as Moodymann, Omar-S, Move D, Richie Hawtin, Mark Broom, and Axel Boman.
With early releases on labels such as DVS1's Mistress Recordings, Delsin, and Darko Esser's Wolfskuil Records, Discrete Circuit recognized the need for his own dedicated imprint to unleash his techno-focused productions, ultimately establishing Astray Records in 2017. Throughout four original EPs, he demonstrated his versatility and artistic range from gloomy techno tracks with experimental notes ("Road Force") to nostalgic Detroit funk ("Observer EP") to straightforward bangers ("Control Zero EP").
After the pandemic hiatus, the jack-of-all-trades returned full of energy making 2023 a significant year. While celebrating a decade of remarkable AWAY events with the quality-stacked compilation AWAY 10 YEARS, Discrete Circuit also launched another exciting endeavor: CIRCUITS, a six-part DJ mix series with each episode exploring a distinct style and mood, reflecting his deep love for all angles of electronic music and beyond.
