about
At last, our new date is locked and loaded, who ready to pull the shotta?
We promised we’d be back… (and stronger than ever)...
…and joining us for our long awaited return to the Section —
none other than Naarm’s very own #1 bass export Pugilist.
Familiar to many, Pugilist’s reputation precedes him as a highly prolific artist, synthesising broad influences and numerous forays into dub/step, IDM, jungle, techno, electro and further left-field electronica into focussed dubwise sonic communications, clocking releases on Martyn’s 3024, AD 93 (née Whities), Modern Hypnosis, Dext, Artikal, Trule, Trusik and many more in the last 2 years alone(!), somehow defying the principle of "quality over quantity" with each successive drop.
Catching spins from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Objekt, Calibre, Skee Mask, Batu, Laksa, Stenny, Forest Drive West, Pinch, Mosca, Doc Scott, Samuel Kerridge & more, Pugilist is currently hot off the back of a guest mix for Dimensions Festival and a string of tour dates across the country including Brisbane and Cold Ibiza (Nipaluna/Hobart) with Junglist’s Paradise resident Kufa, lending itself to the obvious progression to invite Pugilist as our guest of honour as we turn up the heat for our first post-lockdown throw down.
Join us and find out how massive the jungle really is.
