One of Melbourne’s top exports, Andras (also known as Wilson Tanner, Berko, Art Wilson and Andras & Oscar) has taken the sound of Australia to the world. His music sits somewhere between beat-driven club music and deeper ambient sounds that often aims to resemble and break the Aussie identity. Over the years he’s gone as far as sampling a Duck Toilet cleaner ad and used artwork taken from an iconic corn ad… 90s kids get it. And labels around the globe have championed it, with releases on Tim Sweeney’s Beats in Space, Public Possession and Mexican Summer. Many of his releases have also come out on his own label Punp.
As a DJ, Andras never disappoints. He’s been a mainstay behind the decks across Australia and the world for the past decade so we figured it’s about time we got him down to the Tokyo Sing Song basement for his debut One Night Stand.
