Cheng Daoyuan

Clansie Cheng Daoyuan is a Taipei-based multimedia creator who works in experimental sound performance, installation, visual creation. The concept of his creation is two distinct planes cohere to a single form, tried to immerse himself into the now and here, but also exile in this non-exist time and space : true equal false, existence means extinguish.

(Z)erpents是以臺裔美籍的吉他手Paul Lai以及台北最狂的鼓手Joseph Mauro為軸心的自由即興音樂組合，每次演出搭配1-3名不同風格的樂手融合成不同風格的演出。其團體選擇合作對象標準只有一個，就是音樂之於該名樂手要有如好奇心之於貓一般的關係，樂手必須無懼地面對即興時可能的失敗，並且趕於演奏時展現自己的風格。也因此(Z)erpents的音樂風格並沒有主導的方向，時而自由爵士(free jazz)，時而噪音(noise)，時而是綿延的嗡鳴(drone)，對可以透過下方連結收聽他們於Future Proof發行的專輯《Black Mold and Hot Springs, Taipei》
