Hailing from the filthy dirty southern US, by way of South Carolina, Subtle might seem new to the game (he’s Subtle, after all) but this guy has been fondling wax in one way, shape or form for the last 17 years. Originally playing underground parties back home, he relocated to Taiwan in 2005, where he hooked up with former partner DJ Edify in Taichung and formed Pitch Black Productions. Around the same time, Subtle hooked up with local legends Dr Reniculous Lipz and the Skallyunz and began touring the island as the bands’ resident DJ. Yearning for a taste of big city life, he relocated to Taipei city in 2009 and became affiliated with Tranquility Bass Productions. He has performed at various nightclubs, including LUXY, PIPE, THE V, MICASA, REVOLVER and TRIANGLE, opening for some massive artists like LTJ BUKEM, TITTSWORTH, ART OF FRESH and SUB ZERO. Now residing in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Subtle keeps the party jumping.
