Hailing from Seoul, In the early days of his career playing underground parties, Magico felt a strong calling towards electronic music. He has always been drawn to the deep and minimalistic aspects of house and techno. His unique music selections and exquisite mixing style incorporate timeless bits and pieces from both old and new eras of electronic music.
This has established him as an essential DJ and selector not only in the Korean but also in the Asia underground scene.
Since 2011, he has been dedicated to developing a thriving local music scene in Seoul. He was a resident DJ at the club Mystik, where notable DJs from around the world have showcased their talents. He has also been a resident DJ at the vinyl only club “Ring” in Seoul since 2020.
His talents have now caught the attention of world-famous clubs and events, including Closer, Club Der Visionaere, Robert Johnson, Resolute in New York, Sublime in Paraguay, and Motif in Nicaragua.
He also curates his own monthly event, Voice, where he invites like-minded international DJs to share their styles and deepen the range of sounds available in the Seoul underground scene.
