about
5K is proud to bring you DREW DAPPS to Seattle for a jaunt into the land of minimal and deep sounds.
Drew Dapps is a budding Music Producer and DJ based in San Diego, CA known for his Deep, Minimal, and Tech House influenced sounds. Drew, who grew up in Las Vegas, first gained notoriety as a rising hip-hop producer and online personality. As this young artist found himself a Southern California transplant, he soon fell in love with the local house scene, and decided to rebrand and focus his productions on creating the new sound he was captivated by. With his debut EP charting on the BeatPort top 10 release chart for Deep House, he knew he had made the right decision. He realigned his artistry and placed a focus on deep, infectious grooves coupled with warm bass and lush chord progressions; leaning into a timeless, yet forward thinking sound.
Today, Dapps has released on a growing number of respected labels worldwide, winning fans throughout a widespread geography. Naturally, as Drew started dropping house records, he was introduced into the world of DJing and fully immersed into performing for the vibrant club scene in San Diego. It wasn’t long until Dapps began touring in more cities amid the South Western corner of the US. You will often see Drew dancing along during his sets, grinning from ear to ear, as nothing gets him more hype than seeing his songs get the crowd on their feet and locked in the groove. Coming from humble beginnings, he looks forward to continue crafting his own legacy while pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

Local support:
Mike Devlin
Mike Devlin is the quiet reserved hitter representing Studio 4/4 and his own personal project Tiki Tiki. Lead contender for biggest smile in Seattle, look for some cheeky tunes as he opens up the night for us. After spending a summer both playing with and listening to Mike bring major heat to Habitat it was a no brainer he should be leading the charge into the night.

  • "The small basement space on Minor Avenue has been open only since February, but it's already establishing itself as a crucial cog in the city's electronic-music scene. Kremwerk hit the ground running. In its first week, Austin--the venue's booker--scored future-bass star L-Vis 1990, and since then, he's brought in an excellent array of local and international talent, including Silent Servant, Santiago Salazar, Dreamweapon, Jimi Jaxon, Kode 9 and Raica. Now with a capacity of 231 with its newly installed patio, we help champion the scene's underground action. Kremwerk's interior fuses an industrial, bunkerlike atmosphere (exposed, rusted pipes and sprinkler, much concrete, steel, and wood, etc.) with a chic after-hours spot. It's dimly lit and low-ceilinged and sports excellent feng shui, with plenty of nooks and seating away from the dance floor. Several shellacked and sanded tree stumps serve as tables."
