Michaelis

Drawn to the study and composition of electronic music since making the move from Sydney to Melbourne in 2014, Michaelis has been steadily refining his craft. Honing in on the house and minimal sounds coming out of Europe, his is a style of elaborate grooves and well placed wonk. Drawing inspiration from old funk and jazz records and adopting an organic, sample-based process, his tracks have an intricate yet playful sound that draws you in and makes for beautiful listening and big dance floor moments. With an attention to detail and a strong focus on groove - Michaelis is a producer and dj quietly turning heads with his funk-laced style.
