On May 8, grab your M8s and get amped up for another big night of Bushtechno music at MY AEON.
We have been absolutely blown away by the quality of music and turnouts at our recent events. Our dance-floors have been populated with tribes that reflect the very soul of Bushtechno’s sound - some of the best audiences we’ve ever had the pleasure of partying with. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this culture what it is today. This M8s Edition is a token of our appreciation. It’s for all our people who bring this party home.
Helping us celebrate this party people edition is Bassic Records’ core family member, Rainbird. Having just released one of the most unique Bushtechno EP’s ‘Cicada’ on his home label, this experimental Bushtechno producer has created 3 tracks that fall outside of the bounds of any "mainstream" genre category.
Rainbird began his exploration of music’s cerebral and temporal influence in his hometown of Byron Bay. Blending psychedelia with a fresh twist and heaving bass lines with playful tendencies, his experimental 4x4 sound falls somewhere in-between bush techno, bass house, prog-psy and glitch hop. Rainbird represents the top tier of Australian doof style techno, keeping us on the forefront of this country's outdoor music progression. It’s no wonder that he has left his mark on labels like Bassic Records, Zenon Records, Techgnosis Records, and Merkaba Music.
A stellar lineup of Bushtechno artists will also be gracing us with their presence for this event. Stay tuned for the release of their stories over the next 3 weeks !!
Bushtechno will now be using Humanitix, a ticketing platform that will be donating money towards a better future for disadvantaged Indigenous Australians in Year 12 or below. Humanitix will utilise funds raised from our event, to provide full scholarships to top schools for kids from rural areas or disadvantaged backgrounds. As well as receiving career guidance, work experience and support post-school to aid in the transition to higher education, vocational training and employment.
